Hi, I'm Larissa. 20. Canada.
My friend has pressured me into creating a trope page and I have complied. A better self-description will later appear.
Or not.

Pecanjelly's Tropes by Pecanjelly
- Adorkable: According to one of her friends. Probably has some shades of this.
- All of the Other Reindeer
- Apologises a Lot: Foreign non-English speaking relative began asking her aunt what this "sorry" word was.
- Big Eater: It's amazing to have maintained a healthy weight after all these years.
- Break the Cutie
- Brilliant, but Lazy: But far from academically brilliant. (Book Dumb)
- Broken Bird
- Brutal Honesty: Because Honesty Is the Best Policy
- Buffy Speak
- Cigarette of Anxiety: Seldom, but happens from time to time.
- Closet Geek: TV Tropes... And that's not all, but we'll leave it there.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: She doesn't understand everyone immediately brushing off her technologically advanced dinosaur theory. And other legit theories.
- Dark and Troubled Past
- Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Constantly. Seems to be tied in with a mild version of Chronic Hero Syndrome, significantly influenced by her Guilt Complex.
- Does Not Like Men: Justified.
- Don't Look At Me
- Drama Queen: Larissa loathes drama and attention and avoids petty gossip, but due to her anxiety can often lose perspective on events in her life and act out this way unintentionally.
- Earthly Barefoot Character: As a child, so much.
- Eating Lunch Alone
- Extreme Doormat: Not her strong suit.
- Feminine Women Can Cook: Played With.
- Girliness Upgrade: When she was fifteen.
- Girls Love Stuffed Animals
- Good Is Not Soft
- Granola Girl: Vegan, natural medicine, incense and all.
- Green Eyes
- Green-Eyed Monster
- Growing Up Sucks
- Guilty Pleasures: Seafood, Lana Del Rey, TV Tropes, Neopets, 00s music..
- Gut Feeling: Important.
- Hidden Depths: Depending on which social setting, is often seen as the Hard-Drinking Party Girl or The Ingenue...
- Horrible Judge of Character: Due to her poor self-confidece.
- I Am Not Pretty
- I Just Want to Have Friends
- Ill Girl: Fibromyalgia, IBS, chronic bilateral plantar fasciitis are among her physical ailments. Anxiety and depression could be noted too. Leads to a lot of I Just Want to Be Normal and I Just Want to Be Free.
- Because of this, is being pressured by everyone to carry the attitude of The Determinator, which she grudgingly attempts.
- Innocently Insensitive: Doesn't happen too often, but when she realizes she's done this days after the event she will beat herself up for it for months.
- It Runs in the Family
- Jade-Colored Glasses: Slowly slipping back to being a Wide-Eyed Idealist.
- Knight in Sour Armor: Downplayed; part of her hasn't yet let go of her idealism or hope.
- Loners Are Freaks
- Ms. Imagination
- Must Have Caffeine: Not a Morning Person. 'Nuff said.
- Nature Lover
- Nice Girl: Has been seen as this by people who don't know her, and is subsequently forgotten about.
- No Social Skills: This essential skill learned in childhood? Missed by being All of the Other Reindeer, and now as said Ill Girl.
- Obsessed with Food: Aside from her near constant hunger, there is a seemingly psychological need to always have Comfort Food...
- Quick Nip
- Rage Breaking Point
- Retail Therapy
- Romance Genre Heroines: Is The Free Spirit and The Librarian
- Self Depreciation
- Shrinking Violet
- Straw Feminist: Justified from a myriad of experiences; Larissa is unsure if this is a Subverted or Double Subverted trope herself.
- Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Dandere
- The Ditherer
- The Perfectionist
- The Quiet One
- The Slacker
- This Loser Is You: How Larissa used to see herself. Although she got better, it still feels reinforced at times.
Friendships
Larissa didn't always didn't have a Friendless Background; it started more after high school as a result of a) becoming an Ill Girl b) growing apart and c) realizing they were a complete Jerkass, she considers Amanda to be her Only Friend (at least of the "The Only One I Can Trust" variant.)
- Duet Bonding: "La-LOL!" So what if it was text-based?
- Platonic Life-Partners: Have discussed the relevance of this together.
Romance and Sexuality
- Always Someone Better
- Can't Have Sex, Ever: Obviously a downplayed and mundane version of this; the physical act of sex triggers her back pain to the extent of being bedridden and unable to function for the next couple of days or more. Fabulous.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: She's better at internalizing this now.
- Destructive Romance: The reason Larissa is disgusted by the use of I Can Change My Beloved trope in media.
- False Soulmate
- Gayngst: Justified by her her entire family dropping extreme homophobic remarks over the years.
- Incompatible Orientation
- Insecure Love Interest: Overlaps with I Can't Believe a Guy Like You Would Notice Me. This can make her Oblivious to Love (or at least, oblivious to people hitting on her.)
- Last Het Romance: Laughing because it was actually a thing.
- Leaving You to Find Myself
- Love Is a Weakness
- Near-Rape Experience: Almost how she lost her virginity. A second incident was also leading up to this.
- Paralyzing Fear of Sexuality
- Single Woman Seeks Good Man: Or well, woman.
- Silly Rabbit, Romance Is for Kids!: Larissa periodically idealizes and wishes for love as much as anyone else, but often falls back on this viewpoint and has taken to resist acting or lingering on her feelings.
- The First Cut Is the Deepest
Values and Ideals
- All Issues Are Political Issues: Has shades of this, which she usually just internalizes. Active debates her head follow.
- Be Yourself: With a few instances of I Am What I Am
- Earn Your Happy Ending
- Face Your Fears
- Good Is Not Nice
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: It's worth mentioning that after a series of negative events Larissa switched from the ideals of I Just Want to Be Badass to this. Add a couple more bad incidents and general maturity, and she no longer finds this an ideal trope to embody.
- Honesty Is the Best Policy
- Rousseau Was Right
- The Philosopher: Doesn't yet have the levels of epicness to fulfill this trope, but it is an admirable trope indeed.
Tropes Added By Others
- All Girls Want Bad Boys: Has successfully pulled herself out of this, to the admiration of Bottlerose!
- Animal Motifs: Deer.
- Armor-Piercing Question: Is quite good at these. Goes along with Wham Line at times.
- Big "NO!": Played for Laughs almost always.
- Book Worm
- Brutal Honesty: To add to what's there already, Larissa is a sincere person who also tells the truth to those who need to hear it even if it hurts. She is "pure", not in the way of The Ingenue, but because she is nothing but herself. (And this is GOOD.)
- Crowning Moment Of Awesome / Crowing Moment Of Funny: She has so many of these that they need their own pages. Really.
- Hope Springs Eternal: Despite thinking that Hope Is Scary due to anxiety and depression, Larissa's ability to come out of situations stronger, more self-aware, and with more conviction ultimately makes her this trope. She doesn't need to believe in God, exactly, but she definitely believes in "the thing with wings"...
- Ideal Hero: Is seen as such by her best friend. Despite Larissa's past, she becomes more and more of an ideal heroine each day.
- Meaningful Name: "Larissa" means "Happy", which is something that Larissa views with irony. "Diana", however, was the Queen of the Witches... (Look it up, girl!)
- Nervous Wreck
- The Only One I Trust: Larissa is the only one that Amanda will LISTEN to and, due to her Brutal Honesty, the only one that Amanda will fully trust. (Even if she sometimes goes for a second opinion.)
- Tall, Dark and Bishoujo: Has this effect sometimes, despite being blonde.
- Wise Beyond Her Years: Larissa definitely is this trope.
