"And now, without further ado, let this Clash of Universes...begin!"
Anthony Caesar

Clash of Universes is a Unity Fighting Game in development by Ironcommando (Lead Programmer), TheHailStormer (Script and Synopsis Writer), and Deltadromeus (Lead Artist) featuring a roster consisting entirely of troper OCs. 12 of the most powerful fighters from 6 different universes have been invited by Anthony Caesar, Chairman of the Nexus Corperation (and a retired professional fighter), to see just who's the strongest in the universe. The prize? The equivalent of $10 Million in their world's currency, the fame that comes with being the strongest in the multiverse, and a fight against Caesar himself. However, it's all just a ruse to gather data on the multiverse's greatest warriors and create the perfect warrior with the data.

The game can be played either single-player or tag-team 2 vs 2, the latter allowing Combination Attacks. Commands are relatively simple to learn and use, so even people who are new to fighting games can join in the fun.

Current Character Roster (and their creators):

Tropes present in the game:

  • Amusing Injuries: Either FM or Kain will get one of these after their fights, such as Kain getting his head stuck in an ice block by Calia. Subverted after Stormer and Chiharu's fight, where they don't get any, but instead contemplate on almost killing Chiharu's unborn children.
  • Animesque: Thanks to Deltadromeus' unique art style that will be used for the game.
  • Anti-Magic: The tournament areas have devices that give off one, weakening a number of the magic-using cast. Calia and Amber are still forced to put on another four Anti-Magic devices after that, due to their otherwise immense power.
    • Terios also emits one, thus weakening Calia and Amber even though they completely removed their limiters before his fight. At least they start the fight with three limiter bars broken.
  • Armor-Piercing Attack: Certain attacks in the game bypass extra defenses and even hit more against increased health. Especially useful against Calia and Kain, both of whom have high defense values.
  • Assist Character: Calia and Amber have their Guardians which are summoned in some of their hypers. Fractured Mancer's hydra could technically be one. Kain has his airship. Beatrice has a weakened avatar of Surt.
  • Author Avatar: Stormer, FM, Beatrice, and Aquarius are based off of their respective creators.
    • FM used to be based on his author, but he's developed into his own character. He's only an author avatar in name.
  • Badass Normal:
    • Alexander Graham Payne. In a cast full of demigods, cyborgs, and sorcerers, his main ability is being a Combat Pragmatist and being skilled with dual knives. Except not really.
    • Also Anthony Caesar. He's a retired fighter who runs the tournament, and fights the cast with a combination of fast and furious boxing and mixed martial arts.
  • Babies Ever After: Stormer and Chiharu's ending shows that despite any damage Chiharu took during the tournament, her and Stormer's children were delivered just fine.
  • Bash Brothers: Calia and Amber get along well together and also fight outside the tournament as a duo. It helps that they're both cousins on their mothers' side.
  • Battle Couple: Stormer and Chiharu are a married cyborg couple who fight together with synergy.
    • Aquarius and Beatrice are also lovers, and fight together in a team.
  • Blood Knight: Both Amber and Kain are in this tournament solely for the opportunity to fight strong opponents. Marcus also seems to enjoy himself though perhaps not to the other two's degree.
    • Anthony Caesar wants to create Terios so that he can fight the strongest opponent ever.
  • Bloodless Carnage: Not a single drop of blood is shown onscreen despite all the damage the characters take. Subverted, however, by Terios, who bleeds as xe's damaged.
  • The Cameo: Johnny (Black Mage Anolis) from 64 and Glaice (Shane Bane Neumann) from the Dragon Riders' Universe can be seen as background characters during stages and also during story cutscenes.
  • Cast of Snowflakes: Given how these characters are from 7 different creators, it was to be expected. On the current roster, we have:
    • An ice- and solid- manipulating demigoddess who's a planetary captain and the Global President's daughter.
    • A fire- and gas- manipulating demigoddess who's a planetary captain and the Planetary Commander's daughter.
    • A cyborg samurai with a nice suit and hat with a lightning-controlling katana.
    • A cyborg samurai who's well-versed in technology and has a katana with the ability to manipulate holographic cherry blossom petals and generate a barrier. Wife of the above.
    • A Dark Is Not Evil necromancer who's soul-bound to an ethereal hydra with a very nasty disposition.
    • A superpowered, advanced humanoid robot with human-like intelligence, great strength and durability, and powerful melee attacks.
    • An angelic human who's the host of Surt, the Fire Giant and thus inherits his destructive fire powers.
    • A Magic Knight who's a depowered, amnesiac Odin and the lover of the above.
    • An "super-human" teenager with proficiency with a katana and supernatural control over elements, and is a chosen one destined to beat a great evil.
    • A mysterious young man with strange crimson cleaver-like blades, and is also another chosen one. Rival of the above.
    • A cyborg gunslinger who wields dual submachine guns that transform into twin gatling guns.
    • A robotic little girl with bunny ears and a staff to whack her enemies with. Partner of the above.
  • Charged Attack: Stormer and Chiharu both utilize a collect-type in the form of Lightning Points and Holographic Petals respectively. If they have enough when using an attack that consumes said resources it will consume an amount and boost the attack. This also applies to their Limit Breaks- they have one of the strongest Combination Attack in the game if both use it at full resources.
  • Charge-into-Combat Cut: Calia and Amber's ending. The tournament is over, Anthony is arrested, and Terios is dead... Unfortunately, The Enforcer Metas use this opportunity to attack everyone, in their conquest for multiversal assimilation. Cue all the contestants charging into combat with the Enforcers... which ends with the Enforcers getting curbstomped.
  • Combination Attack: Each of the 6 character teams have three, all of which are very powerful.
  • Crossover: Between 6 different Troper OC universes. Specifically, the Unchained Universe (Stormer and Chiharu), the Metaspace Universe (Calia and Amber), the Fragmented Mold Multiverse (FM and Kain), the Millenium Children Universe (Marcus and Alexander), the Gender-Flipped Universe (Beatrice and Aquarius), and the Delta Universe (Arsenal and Serin).
  • Counter-Attack:
    • Hit Calia with a regular attack if she encases herself in crystal and you'll take a face full of shards. Throws and Limit Breaks bypass this.
    • Anthony also has one, and this blocks most incoming attacks.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: Fractured Mancer and Kain both have one, which puts them in a Super Mode that greatly increases their capabilities, but instantly KO's them if it expires. Their level 5 Combination Attack requires both to be in their respective supermodes.
  • Deployable Cover: Calia can create a crystal that blocks opponents and absorbs damage, while FM can create a rune that pushes foes back and blocks projectiles.
  • Did You Just Scam Cthulhu?: Calia and Amber (the kids of Arcane Beings) are forced into wearing Power Limiters to give a fair fight. These limiters also draw their energy to create Terios, and when the two Gifted find out that they've been tricked, they're not happy about it.
    • Do Not Taunt Cthulhu: While Calia refrains from hurting him, Anthony ends up getting half his soul eaten by the easily-angered Amber for pulling this on her, ending up an Empty Shell.
  • Digitized Sprites: The game will have character sprites made from animations of 3D models of the characters, but made to look very clean and fluid.
  • Double Jump: Downplayed- not all characters have one. Those who have a double jump tend to justify it- such as Chiharu creating an Improvised Platform made of Hard Light or Beatrice using her wings.
  • Dynamic Entry: How characters will be tagged in.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: For almost the entire roster, this'll be the first time that they've appeared in a published work.
  • Elemental Rivalry: Calia (ice/earth) and Amber (fire/air) wield diametrically opposite elements. They're both Friendly Rivals and are put together as a team.
  • Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors: Calia and Amber take 1.5x damage from fire/air and ice/earth attacks respectively, but they're immune to their own element.
  • 11th-Hour Superpower: All the characters get one when facing Terios' Final Form. Still doesn't make it any easier.
    • Calia and Amber start out with all three limiters broken, greatly increasing their capabilities and damage output.
    • Stormer and Chiharu have maximum Lightning Points and Holographic Petals for the entire fight.
    • Fractured Mancer and Kain start out with maximum Super Mode meter, and their meter drains much slower than in other battles.
    • Beatrice's flame meter is at maximum for the entire fight.
  • Elemental Weapon: Calia's ice/crystal bayonet, Amber's fire/wind infused blades, Stormer's lightning katana, Beatrice's flaming sword and hamaxe, etc.
  • Energy Weapon: Most beam attacks, which hit in a straight line instantly. These are very useful against barriers.
  • Fantastic Recruitment Drive: Calia's motivation for the tournament- to find those who can help her and Amber fight against the invading Enforcers.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Anthony Caesar's methods are exposed, making him and his company lose their PR. Furthermore getting souldrained by Amber in revenge for using her leaves him an Empty Shell for a very long period of time.
  • Fire-Forged Friends: Quite a few of the teams actually become friends with each other at the end of the tournament. Examples are Calia/Amber with Stormer/Chiharu and Arsenal/Serin.
  • Fire, Ice, Lightning: We have Amber and Beatrice for fire, Calia for Ice, and Stormer and Kain for Lightning.
  • Fire/Water Juxtaposition: Between Amber (Fire) and Calia (Ice). Both are friendly rivals who team up with each other, and whose playstyles are different- Calia is a Stone Wall who uses defensive and trap abilities, while Amber is a Glass Cannon who goes all out on offense and avoidance.
  • Foil: Within the teams, and between each "rival" team:
    • Calia and Amber have opposing elements and personalities. Calia (Ice/Earth) has a cool, stoic and tactical personality while Amber (Fire/Air) is Hot-Blooded and a Leeroy Jenkins. In terms of battling, Calia starts out as a Stone Wall while Amber starts out as a Fragile Speedster, while the former eventually becomes a Mighty Glacier and the latter a Glass Cannon/Fragile Speedster.
    • Calia/Amber and Stormer/Chiharu: Both of them are family (former are cousins, latter are Husband/wife) and both can fight well alongside each other. The former are magic users while the latter are cyborgs. While the former are rivals who sometimes bicker but usually get along (even sharing an Elemental Rivalry), the latter are Happily Married and are very much in love with each other.
    • FM/Kain and Beatrice/Aquarius: Both teams consist of a primarily melee fighter and a mage. While the latter are lovers, the former literally just met, and as such had a bit of Teeth-Clenched Teamwork at the start.
  • Gender Flip: Beatrice and Aquarius are gender flipped (and superpowered) versions of their respective creators.
  • Gone Horribly Right: Terios was supposed to be an amalgamation of the 12 characters' powers done in secret. Unfortunately Terios broke loose from his tube and started wrecking the tournament arena...
  • Guardian Entity: Calia and Amber's Arcane halves Chris and Firewhirl. They're part of Calia and Amber's souls respectively.
  • Guys Smash, Girls Shoot: All over the place.
    • Played straight by Calia is mostly ranged but her melee is also just as strong, while subverted by Amber who is good at both melee and ranged, attacking with knives as well as fire/wind projectiles.
    • Also played straight by Stormer and Chiharu. Stormer is mainly melee-based with a few projectiles, Chiharu is melee oriented but has more ranged attacks than Stormer.
    • Subverted by FM, who is primarily a projectile attacker but does have a powerful melee in his Hydra summon. Played very straight by Kain who is almost exclusively melee- his ranged attacks primarily in the form of his airship support.
    • Inverted by Beatrice and Aquarius, who are melee and magic-oriented respectively. Aquarius' melee attacks involve telekinetically-controlled swords.
    • Subverted by Marcus who has both sword and spells and by Alexander who attacks with both cleaver blades and his shotgun, among other things.
    • Zig-Zagged by Arsenal, whose Stance System allows him to have both melee and ranged modes, and inverted by Serin who attacks with her staff.
  • Happily Married: Stormer and Chiharu. One of their team intros (and winposes) even involves them hugging and kissing each other.
  • Harmless Freezing: Calia's ice spells and attacks freeze her opponent while usually doing a small bit of damage. However, this does lower their defence against her next string of attacks.
  • Invulnerable Attack: Anthony and Terios have moves that give them no collision box while they are executing them, befitting of SNK Bosses.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Stormer, Chiharu and Marcus all wield one. Stormer's can control lightning, and Chiharu's can create holographic petals to confuse opponents.
  • Launcher Move: Most of the characters have one, useful when performing air combos.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Anthony Caesar's plans go awry once Terios is defeated, leaving him to be arrested and his company getting massive negative PR due to the tournament being broadcast. Using the easily-angered Amber as a pawn also leads to her draining half his soul, leaving him an Empty Shell.
  • Mage Marksman: Calia uses both a bayonet rifle and ice/earth spells.
  • Magic Knight: Amber, Beatrice, Aquarius, Marcus. Stormer and Chiharu could be considered technological equivalents.
  • Magic Versus Science: Present when magic users like Calia, Amber, Fractured Mancer, Beatrice, Aquarius or Marcus fight against robots/cyborgs/tech users like Stormer, Chiharu, Kain, Arsenal or Serin.
  • Minimalist Cast: There's currently only 15 named characters in the game, consisting of the 12 playable characters, Anthony Caesar, and Chris and Firewhirl (Calia and Amber's Guardians). Actually 16 when you include Terios.
  • Multiple Endings: There's one for each character team, and one for the true story mode, which is unlocked by playing all the teams' routes.
  • Not Just a Tournament: While the winners of the tournament do get the rewards promised to them, the whole tournament is really just a set up to gather data from the fighters and create the perfect fighter.
  • Original Character: A fighting game exclusively featuring original characters.
  • Pay Evil unto Evil: For all the shit that Anthony puts the contestants through, Amber repays him by consuming half his soul and rendering him an Empty Shell. Many of the other characters comment that she went too far.
  • Power Creep, Power Seep: Is necessary, given that two of the characters are demigoddesses, one has a pet hydra, one is the host of Surt, Lord of the Fire Giants, and one is a depowered Odin. On the other spectrum, we have a character who's pretty much a Badass Normal wielding dual knives, and we also have a retired MMA fighter.
  • Power Limiter: Calia and Amber are forced to put them on to join the tournament, which also explains their power seep. Both of them have a "move" that slowly breaks the limiter. When one is broken, their damage output increases. Breaking a second gives them access to stronger moves and summon their Guardians as a super move- and one of the strongest Combination Attacks in the game if both manage to do so. Breaking a third (albeit MUCH harder to do) boosts their powers even more.
  • The Power of Love: Stormer and Chiharu's ultimate Combination Attack, Dual Whirlwind. If used at maximum Lightning Points and Holographic Petals, it results in a move whose power rivals that of the fury of two godlike beings!
  • Red Baron: Everyone on the roster has an appropriate title that fits their combat style and personality. See the character folders for details.
  • The Rival: Each of the character teams has a rival team that ends up being the second-to-last opponents of their story. Stormer and Chiharu are pitted against Calia and Amber, FM and Kain fight Beatrice and Aquarius, and Marcus and Alexander face off with Arsenal and Serin.
  • Screw the Money, I Have Rules!: In Calia and Amber's story, the two Gifted decide to give the prize money to the others. Mainly because 1. Their main motivation was to find others to help them/get a good fight 2. both of them don't need it at all, being the children of two of the richest people in the galaxy 3. Calia has the ability to create money in the form of precious metal and and diamonds.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: FM's main goal in competing is so that he'd be able to leave The Arena if he wins... but since the tournament was an epic scam, he's booted back there after the events.
  • Shotoclone: Averted. Each character is completely different in playstyle than the others, and not a single one of them has a Ryu-like moveset.
  • Shout-Out: Boatloads of them, to the point of Reference Overdosed. (Character-specific ones will be under the character tropes)
    • Quite a few of the fighting game terms are named something else: Tag Assists- Synchros, Super Moves- Finalizers. Tag Supers are called Synchro Finalizers- a cross between Full Synchro and Finalizing.
    • Each character has 12 alternate palettes based on other characters. More often than not, said characters have similarities as well. At least one of each character's alts is based off of a character from the Mega Man franchise, as the three primary devs are all huge Mega Man fans.
  • Sinister Surveillance: It's revealed that Caesar had sent surveillance to each of the characters' universes to spy on them and gain info. Later on, Chiharu hacks the database, and even later, the Enforcers do.
  • SNK Boss: Anthony Caesar and Terios.
  • Some Dexterity Required: Consciously averted. The controls are very simple (no stuff like 360 motions, charge moves, Pretzel motions, or even half circle forward/back) so as to give an easier time to those new to fighting games.
  • Status Effects:
    • Burn: Character takes Damage Over Time. Inflicted by Amber, Beatrice and Marcus' fire attacks. Amber and Beatrice are immune to it.
    • Freeze: Prevents movement and lowers defense against the next chain of attacks. Inflicted by Calia's ice attacks. Calia is immune to it.
    • Shock: Prevents the character from running at all or jumping properly. Inflicted by Stormer and Kain's electrical attacks. Stormer and Kain are immune to it.
    • Bind: Stuns longer than freeze, but no defense down. Inflicted by Chiharu's holographic petals.
    • Attack Down: Temporarily reduces the character's attacking power. Inflicted by Fractured Mancer's Glimpse Unreality attack (if it hits head-on).
    • Alexander also has the ability to inflict a variety of the "stat lowering" kind with his attacks, each of which have a "meter" that when filled up turns into a more debilitating status.
    • Since Terios copies their moves, he's able to use these on the characters too.
  • Switch-Out Move: During a tag-team 2 vs 2 match, each character can switch out with another so long as the partner is not KO'd.
  • Sword and Sorcerer:
  • Tag Team: Present in 2 on 2 mode, in a way similar to Marvel vs. Capcom's system.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Fractured Mancer and Kain are (initially) not on good terms on each other and constantly bicker with themselves, same with Marcus and Alexander (although the teeth-clenching is mostly on the latter's part).
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: Nobody dies in this tournament except Terios. Amber however comes dangerously near to consuming Caesar's soul, but in the end she decides to make him suffer... by taking half of it.
  • Three Round Deathmatch: The basic match settings involve winning a best of 2 out of 3 rounds.
  • Title Drop: The tournament itself is known as The Clash Of Universes.
  • Tournament Arc: The whole story of the game revolves around the multiversal fighting tournament.
  • Troperiffic: It's a fighting game being made by a team of Tropers, so this is guaranteed. Tropes Are Not Bad, though.
  • True Companions: Calia and Amber, who have fought beside each other for years before the tournament. Their winpose even involves the two doing a high-five.
  • Unto Us a Son and Daughter Are Born: In Stormer and Chiharu's ending, Chiharu gives birth to their son and daughter, and both babies are shown at the end.
  • Unwitting Pawn: The contestants themselves, whose data was used to create Terios.
  • Victory Quote: Each character has three unique one against other characters, depending on how well they did at beating their opponent.
  • Video Game Settings: The tournament arena uses holographic projection technology to simulate the arena settings.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: When Amber souldrains Caesar at the end of the game, everyone calls Amber out for going a bit too far in punishing Anthony's actions.
  • World of Badass: Yeah, being a Badass was a requirement for all the fighters to be invited, so it's more like Multiverses of Badass.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Quite a number of the contestants initially show reluctance at attacking Chiharu or Serin, due to the former being pregnant and the latter looking like a young girl.
  • Xanatos Gambit: In Calia and Amber's ending, The Enforcer attack was a success even if they got curbstomped. Either way it made a distraction for them to hack Caesar's database, get all the information on the contestants, as well as the coordinates to their universes.
  • You Will Not Evade Me:
    • Kain has an extendable arm spike move that draws the foe close for a beatdown, similar to that of Scorpion.
    • Amber has a wind blast move that can push a foe back or draw them closer.

Individual Tropes for the cast. Spoilers Ahoy!

From Diamond Phase:

    Calia Rayfer and Chris
''I'm not in this for fame or money. I'm here to find those who have the power to help us."
Voiced By: BetaKatana

Calia Rayfer is a Gifted from the high-tech planet of Terra 102, and the child of the Global President. Blessed with magic powers over solids and cold and an Arcane Guardian half, she joined the planetary army to protect her society. Terra 102 was recently saved from Arcane beings thanks to the efforts of Calia and her companions, but is now under assault by extradimensional aliens known as the Enforcers. As such, Calia isn't in the tournament for money, fame or recognition- she's trying to find others who can help her save her planet and potentially the universe.

Calia utilizes ice and earth magic channeled through her ManaTech rifle or cast from her hands. Like solid and unmoving crystals and ice, Calia boasts very high defenses at the cost of her speed. Calia icy magic inflicts a freezing curse that traps her foes and makes them brittle, temporarily reducing their durability. Her gift at manipulating solid allows her to create defensive formations of crystal for both offense and defense- giving her a more tactical and defensive style befitting her personality.

While Calia initially starts out depowered, she can break her limiters to bring herself closer to the true power of a Gifted...

  • Barrier Warrior: Calia Rayfer can summon crystals that block attacks and deal damage.
  • Bayonet Ya: Calia's punch moves involve slashing her foe with a crystal bayonet. She can also impale them with it for a powerful attack.
  • Colony Drop: Fallen Continent, one of her strongest Limit Breaks. Calia creates a landmass in the air and drops it on the foe.
  • Damage-Increasing Debuff: Getting frozen will cause you to take extra damage from the subsequent string of attacks.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: She's able to manipulate solids and crystal. One of her Limit Breaks even summons a landmass to drop on the opponent.
  • Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors: Calia takes extra damage from Fire and Wind attacks but is immune to Ice and resists Earth.
  • Flechette Storm: Shardstorm. While not very damaging, it does lock the enemy in place for quite a while if it hits or if guarded, allowing Calia to get in close.
  • Freeze Ray: She has two variants:
    • The first is a non-damaging projectile that freezes. It deals moderate damage but unfreezes and knocks down if it hits a frozen foe.
    • The second is a Wave-Motion Gun of sorts that deals weak damage for an EX move, but freezes for a good time. If the opponent is frozen it deals good amount of damage but unfreezes.
  • Grapple Move: She has a notable grab that deals no damage whatsoever. However, it freezes the opponent and is unblockable. If the opponent is frozen, she uses one that can only affect frozen foes.
  • Kryptonite Is Everywhere: Despite having extremely high defences, several characters have access to her elemental weaknesses in the form of Fire (Amber, Beatrice, Aquarius, Marcus) or Wind (Amber, Chiharu, Aquarius, Marcus).
  • An Ice Person: A large number of her moves involve using cold to freeze her opponent and deal extra damage from her next attack.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Her bayonet moves involve her impaling the opponent in the abdomen with it (unless used against the pregnant Chiharu). Especially Guardians' Spear, where she enlarges the bayonet with the opponent still stuck on it.
  • Instant Ice: Just Add Cold!: Justified as a demigoddess did it.
  • Invincibility Power-Up: One of her hypers gives her a temporary invincibility to all attacks except throws.
  • Literally Shattered Lives: While this doesn't happen to anybody that Calia freezes except Terios, it's the reason why getting frozen temporarily lowers the character's defence.
  • Power Limiter: Placed on her to weaken her and allow her to fight at even levels with the rest of the cast. One of her mechanics involves breaking part of it, eventually allowing her to summon a depowered Chris and giving her access to stronger moves.
  • Magic Versus Science: At least one of her winquotes against tech-using characters will be of magic trumping technology.
  • Magikarp Power: With all Power Limiters on, Calia is one of the slowest characters and has one of the weakest unboosted damage output in the game, requiring freezing her opponent to deal decent damage. As they are removed, her attacks get upgraded, and she gains a number of new moves for the rest of the match. Once the third is broken (a huge feat in itself, considering how tough it is to break), her damage output also shoots up massively.
  • No-Sell: Calia is immune to freezing, and moves that cause both damage and freezing will heal her.
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: To Terios: You have committed multiple accounts of copyright infringement, abomination. The penalty for you is death.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: Not only is she an army captain, she's also the daughter of her planet's president. Her taunt even involves telling the foe to respect her authority.
  • Red Baron: "Maiden of the Solid State".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Blue to Amber's Red.
  • Rule of Three: Calia has at least three Power Limiters placed on her. Breaking the first increases her damage and regular attacks. Breaking the second increases her damage and gives her access to more specials. Breaking the third vastly increases her damage output and upgrades a number of her spells.
  • Stay Frosty: A possible quote that she may say if successfully freezes an opponent.
  • The Stoic: One of the more "emotionless" characters in the game, in contrast to Amber.
  • Shout-Out:
  • Stone Wall: Calia's attacks are so-so in terms of damage and she's one of the slowest charactersnote . She has very good defense to make up for her low health, defensive moves to counter attacks, and the ability to freeze opponents to make them extra damage from her next attack. Once the limiter breaks...
    • Mighty Glacier: Her attack damage and special moves get a power upgrade (moreso for the latter), but her speed stays the same.

    Amber Starwind and Firewhirl
"You look ready for a fight. Let's do this!"
Voiced By:

Amber Starwind is a Gifted from Terra 102, and the daughter of their Planetary Commander. Trained to fight as a soldier since young, Amber had been using her powers over gas and heat to decimate the enemies of her planet, and has fought alongside Calia to thwart the foes of Terra 102. Amber's in the tournament to help Calia find others who can help the two against the Enforcers (Calia used her authority to force her into doing so). But in reality, all Amber wants is a good fight.

Amber fights with fire and wind magic channeled through her dual knives or cast from her hands. She attacks like a raging firestorm- fast, powerful, and mobile. However, like fire and air, she is fragile and easy to extinguish. With the power of flame, Amber can set her oppoents ablaze to deal constant damage. With the power of gas, she manipulates the air to move herself around, evading and attacking her opponent with quick, damaging strikes- giving her a rushdown style befitting her nature.

Amber initially starts out depowered, but can break her limiters to bring herself closer to the true power of a Gifted...

  • Blood Knight: Her primary motivation for joining the tournament- to get a good fight.
  • Blow You Away: Amber uses her air and gas control abilities to give her great mobility and rapid attacks.
  • Doppelgänger Attack: False Flight causes her to fire three images in a spread, only one of them is real.
  • Dual Wield: Her weapons of choice are two combat knives.
  • Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors: Amber takes extra damage from Earth and Ice attacks but is immune to Fire and Wind.
  • Elemental Weapon: She can infuse her knives with air for cutting power or fire for damage. Or both.
  • Finger-Snap Lighter: Her taunt, along with Bring It.
  • Flash Step: A number of her moves involve this, usually being evasive manoeuvres or Invulnerable Attacks.
  • Flight: While she can't fly properly due to her Power Limiter, her wind powers help her airdash.
  • Fragile Speedster/Glass Cannon: Amber has one of the worst health/defense totalsnote  but she makes up for it with great mobility, a few Invulnerable Attacks and good damage.
  • Invulnerable Attack: Quite a few of her moves are these, most notably the Flash Step ones. A good thing too as she's got one of the worst health/defense totals in the game.
  • Magic Versus Science: Like Calia, at least one of her winquotes against most of the tech-using characters will be of magic beating technology.
  • Magikarp Power: Her defenses and initial damage output are weak when all her limiters are on. Once they start breaking, her offense becomes much stronger and she gains access to stronger moves for the rest of the match. Once the third is broken (again, a huge feat to do), her damage shoots up even further.
  • Meaningful Name: Amber sounds like Ember, and she's a fire user. Starwind also refers to both her control over fire and air.
  • Murderous Thighs: Her air-to-ground grab involves attempting to (nonlethally) snap the opponent's neck via these.
  • The Nicknamer: Her victory quotes involve calling the opponents "Mister ____" or "Miss ____". Calia- Miss Boring, Stormer- Mr. Lightning, Chiharu- Miss Flowers, FM- Mr. Scary, Kain- Mr. Robot, Bea- Miss Angel, Terios- Mr. Horrible.
  • No-Sell: Amber is immune to fire, and moves that cause burning will heal her.
  • Playing with Fire: Amber has powers over heat and utilizes flames in her projectile attacks. She's able to burn opponents via certain attacks.
  • Power Limiter: Placed on her to weaken her and allow her to fight at even levels with the rest of the cast. One of her mechanics involves breaking part of it, eventually allowing her to summon a depowered Firewhirl and giving her access to stronger moves.
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: To Terios: This will be an awesome finish to an epic fight! YEAH!
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: An army captain, and also the daughter of the guy in charge of the planetary army.
  • Red Baron: "Maiden of the Gaseous State".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Red to Calia's Blue.
  • Revenge Before Reason: After finding out that she and Calia were tricked by Caesar, she grabs Caesar and drains his soul. Not only does this make the other characters berate her, it also makes the remnants of Nexus Corporation purposefully join up with the Enforcers just to take revenge on her and the Gifted for giving their chairman a horrible fate.
  • Rule of Three: Amber has at least three Power Limiters placed on her. Breaking the first increases her damage and regular attacks. Breaking the second increases her damage and gives her access to more specials. Breaking the third (a huge feat to do) will vastly increase her damage output and upgrade a number of her spells.
  • Short-Range Shotgun: Amber can use one as a close-range attack.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Amber has a move that looks similar to that of General from Global Champion, specifically the Spread Shot of three energy silhouettes. It only looks similar because all three of General's do damage, but for Amber only one of the three does damage, the other two are fake. Her Finalizer version on the other hand IS that of General's move, albeit toned down in damage.
    • Her alternate color palettes include Sol Badguy, Ghost Rider, Mega Man Volnutt, Phoenix, Talonflame, Blaze the Cat, Natsu Dragneel, and her shapeshifted-into-human form after her ascension.
  • Spread Shot: She can fire a spread of three fireballs as an EX move.
  • Taking You with Me: If Amber is finished off from good condition (>90% health) with a physical-based Combination Attack, the tag-in character will take massive fire damage and be instantly KO'd. A Shout-Out to Enter the Arena as Your Avatar where Stormer and Chiharu finished her off in one Twin Slasher, but Chiharu suffered massive burns in the process.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: In the ending, she's called out by pretty much everyone else for draining Anthony Caesar's soul as she had gone a bit too far in her revenge against him.
  • Your Soul Is Mine!: Being a Gifted, she has to consume human souls periodically to survive. In her ending, she almost does this to Anthony Caesar, but Calia convinces her that he's Not Worth Killing and that sparing him would be a Fate Worse than Death for him. Amber then takes half his soul, leaving him an Empty Shell.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Has got a wind blast move that deals no damage, but can pull an opponent towards her for her to attack.

From Unchained Lightning:

    Stormer Aurion
''Time for you to learn the true meaning of honor."
Voiced By: The Hail Stormer

Stormer Aurion is a combat cyborg samurai from America, who retired from active combat duty 2 years ago. Though he used to work with a group of human/animal hybrids called Company Bravo and saved Earth 3 times, he now works as the head of security for a company in Japan known as Astro Systems Incorporated. He was one of only two survivors of the attack on his home city of New Orleans, and is currently happily married to the only other survivor, his former girlfriend Chiharu. He has entered the tournament with his wife so they can get the prize money to support their company's finances.

In battle, he fights his foes with the Kazewokiru no Kairyō Raitoningu (Improved Lightning of Cutting Winds) samurai fighting style, utilizing a combination of speed and offense to best his foes with style, at the cost of terrible defense and stamina. His primary weapon is a high tech katana called Raijin that can control electricity for attacks, though he also wields twin shotgun-pistols known as Thunderstorm when he needs to fight in ranged combat. Stormer is a melee master, able to dish out lots damage with his sword, making him very deadly in combat. He's ready to take on whatever the multiverse throws at him, and is ready to show them all the way of the samurai.

    Chiharu Aurion
"A mother is tougher than you'd think!"
Voiced By:

Chiharu Aurion (née Yamamoto) is a combat cyborg hailing from Japan, who has great skill with programming and engineering. It's been two years since she's been in actual battle, as she retired from combat duty to work at Astro Systems' R&D Department. She got married to her longtime love, Stormer, and is now currently 5 months expecting with their twin children. Though one would normally expect a pregnant woman to avoid getting into a fight, Chiharu is fighting alongside her husband in the tournament to win the prize money for their company.

In battle, she wields a Japanese umbrella-sword, called Kusanagi no Sakura, that has the unique ability to generate holographic cherry blossom petals to confuse and trick opponents, as well as to defend herself from attacks. Her combat style could be best described as "offensive defense", focusing on highly defensive maneuvers that can be used to counterattack opponents, and ranged attacks to play a sort of "keep away" game with her opponents. Though she is capable of melee combat as well, her options with it aren't as varied as her husband's. She won't let any harm come to her babies in battle, and is prepared to show the multiverse just how powerful she can be, even while expecting.

  • Action Mom: Or rather, mom-to-be.
  • Anvil on Head: Her strongest solo Finalizer: "Code: CRUSH". It drops a weight made of Hard Light on the opponent which does very heavy damage and guard damage.
  • Barrier Warrior: She can use her holographic petals to block against attacks and also use them to attack.
  • Battle Couple: With Stormer.
  • Blow You Away: She's got a wind effect to some of her attacks, to propel her petals along. It also allows those attacks to deal extra damage to Calia.
  • Cherry Blossoms: Her primary motif. She can also create holographic cherry blossom petals for attacks.
  • Cyborg
  • Double Jump: By using a Hard Light Improvised Platform.
  • Flashbang Grenades: She can use holographic petal stun grenades to deal damage and stun opponents briefly.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: She says all of her attack names in Japanese.
  • Happily Married: To Stormer Aurion, especially seen in one of their intro and win poses, which involves them kissing and hugging.
  • Hard Light: A number of her holographic constructs are made from these.
  • Improvised Platform: She uses her Double Jump.
  • Kimono Is Traditional: She wears a black and pink flower-patterned kimono.
  • Mama Bear: DO NOT try to harm her developing children, or you will regret it.
  • Orbiting Particle Shield: Flower Orbiter, which creates an orbiting energy shield made of holographic petals around her abdomen. This allows her to defend against attacks that her around there, and can also deal Collision Damage to opponents.
  • Playful Hacker: She manages to hack the surveillance of Caesar's lab as well as his database containing the data of the other contestants. At the end of the game, she has all that data copied for her and Stormer to see... note
  • Petal Power
  • Pre Ass Kicking One Liner: To Terios: It's time to put an end to this madness!
  • Pregnant Badass: She's fighting in the tournament while she's 5 months pregnant with twins, and yet still kicks as much ass as the rest of the playable roster. Notably, she will be the first ever fighting game character to be battling while visibly pregnant.
  • Red Baron: "The Digital Blossom".
  • Retired Badass: She's fought in a war before, helped stop a space station from crashing down to her planet, and fought against a horde of alien invaders. And she did all this only about 2 years before the beginning of MCOU.
  • Shout-Out: Her alternate palettes are based on Chun-Li, Yoshimitsu, Dizzy, Peacock, Akira Kazama, Amy Rose, Lady, Chii, Rei Ayanami, Iris, her super form that she goes into at the end of her life, and the spirit form she takes after she dies.
  • Stone Wall: She's slightly slower and has less attack power than Stormer. While her health and defenses are average, she has multiple defensive abilities that range from temporarily disabling the opponent to protecting herself from damage.
  • Yamato Nadeshiko: Indeed. Her outfit also evokes this theme.

    Fractured Mancer
"I-I won't hold back!"
Voiced By:

FM is a former necromancer who hails from an entirely different universe. One, that he is banished from with no way of returning to on his own. He's been trapped in a small pocket reality for the last few months, where he encountered danger in the form of creatures and fighters from various realities appearing and trying to fight him. Even before that he had to infuse his body with the blood of a monstrous hydra, which branded his body with a powerful Gateseal rune. Now he's in the tournament to earn his chance for freedom, and he'll fight as hard as he can to get it. He doesn't.

FM fights using his various magical spells, all fueled by the power of his gateseal. The hydra fights alongside him, linked to him both physically and mentally to allow full synchronization with their attacks. Lastly, FM defends himself with the power of magical runes, which absorb a fair deal of damage before shattering completely. With these three forces, FM is a force to be reckoned with when fought at a distance.

    Kain
"Prepare Thyself."
Voiced By:

Kain is an advanced AI created by a bunch of scientists from his version of earth. Well, before his earth became drained of resources and turned into a giant swampland by various toxins and chemicals. Despite being stuck on such a ruined planet, Kain managed to put together a small fighter ship by himself, recruited his first and most loyal crewmember, and went off into the stars. Now he's the captain of his own starship, dubbed The Heliot, and has made it his goal to free his universe of evil. By punching his fist through one bad guy at a time if need be.

Kain has no specific fighting style to his moveset. Instead, he focuses on using his overwhelming physical strength to take down his foes with punches and kicks. He also enjoys using the spike-cord system, a weapon that fires out spiked cords that can drag far-off foes to him, or if needed drag him towards the enemy. Lastly, his sheer strength is capable of causing plates of rock to burst from the ground if he strikes the earth, which helps serve for defense and a small portion of ranged offense. His only downside is he isn't as agile as the other fighters, but when you can punch holes in people with barely any effort, that isn't much of a downside after all.

  • Blood Knight: He joins the tournament so that he can get a good fight.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: His Super Mode makes him overload his reactor, greatly increasing his power and speed. However, if it runs out, he's instantly KO'd and he can't use it for the rest of the match.
  • Desperation Attack: His Super Mode can only be used at less than half health. The more damage he has taken throughout the match, the longer it will last.
  • Invincibility Power-Up: Downplayed. Activating his Super Mode makes him take Scratch Damage from every attack.
  • Megaton Punch: A fair bit of his attacks involve punching the enemy really hard. Or spinning. Sometimes both.
  • Mighty Glacier: Kain is the slowest character but he's one of the most painful, especially with his punches and command grabs.
    • Lightning Bruiser: When he goes into his Super Mode, start praying, because his speed is no longer going to be as slow, AND he's much more painful. Plus, he's nearly invincible.
  • Red Baron: "The Supreme Lightning".
  • Ridiculously Human Robots: Kain. Justified as he was made to be nearly human.
  • Shockwave Stomp: One of his abilities has him stomp the ground to create a ground wave (ala Hulk in the MVC series) or a temporary rock shield.
  • Shout-Out: His grappling spike arm functions similarly to that of Mortal Kombat's Scorpion. The move command for it is even the same! (Back, Back, Punch)
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Has a spike cord that drags opponents towards him for a beatdown. He also has a variant where he drags himself towards the opponent instead and gives them a huge punch.

From the Gender-Flipped Universe:

    Beatrice
"This isn't even my final form! >:D"
Voiced by:

bEaTrIcE was once a boy, but that was long ago. She doesn't remember how she came to be a girl, but she doesn't mind either way. What she does mind is the Voice that was in her head for the longest time. When she was traveling through Dwarfland with a group of other genderflipped teens, she was unknowingly chosen as a host for the ruler of the eldjötnar, the fire giant Surtr. Throughout her adventures, Surt granted her special powers and even a pair of large black wings. Meanwhile, bEa constantly did her best to hold him back and she traveled the world, fought exciting battles, and fell in love with a boy named Aquarius. Eventually, however, Surt took control and she was forced to sacrifice herself to protect her friends. Upon death, her soul descended to Helheim, the land of the dishonored dead, and now longs for Aqua's company. Once she received her invitation to the tournament, she couldn't pass up the chance to fight side by side with him once more.

bEaTrIcE was definitely one of the heavy-hitters in her old team, and it shows: Between her massive hammer-axe hybrid and Surt's legendary flaming sword, she's not afraid to get down and dirty in melee combat. Of course, she knows when to be careful in a fight too, and has an arsenal of fire spells should she find herself fighting long-range. Her main aspect in battle is her aura of flame: Starting out as a dull red-orange, it quickly changes in color, heat, and intensity as she gets more enraged or injured. The hotter the flame, the stronger her attacks are.

    Aquarius
"Look, I don't want to hurt you... But I will if I have to."
Voiced By:

Aquatica (This isn't her real name, but she refuses to reveal any important information) used to be a normal girl. One day, though, she came to in a place far away from home. Complicating matters more was the fact that not only was she now a he, but he was somehow completely blind. Fortunately for him, he came across a group of people who also found themselves stuck as the opposite gender, where he took on the name Aquarius and fell in love with a boy-turned-girl named bEaTrIcE. As he soon learned, though, this hadn't been the first time he swapped genders — he used to be Odin, the king of the Norse Gods and god of magic, war, prophecy, and death, until an attack on Asgard drove him to hide the other gods and make a deal with the Norns to disguise himself as Aquatica. Unfortunately, not even his status as a god could keep bEa from being killed by Surt. Upon hearing she was somehow physically present in the Clash of Universes competition, though, he quickly accepted his invite.

Aquarius is heavily dependent on magic in a fight. Not that he won't pick up a sword and charge at an opponent, but he knows that getting close to an opponent opens himself up for attacks, and his mortal form isn't exactly the strongest. When he uses magic, he's either doing one of two things — the more melee-based sword attacks, or the more ranged-based rune effects, which often inflict special conditions on people.

From Children Of The Millennium:

    Marcus Remington
"Hope you're ready for some Remington-style beatdown!"
Voiced By:

A "super-human" which roughly translates to a human wielding natural magical abilities, Marcus isn't a particularly complex person. Learning to work with his abilities ever since he was a kid he came to a conclusion that since he has all this power, he might as well put it to a good use and become something of a hero. Picking up some cool-looking sword - happened to be a katana he got from a black market - as an additional weapon of choice and equipping himself with a trademark red scarf he slowly rose to become one of the Eight. Living in Louisville, USA he doesn't really consider himself a powerful enough person to contend in a tournament such as Clash of Universes, but decided to roll with it. Ten million dollars is a lot of cash for both the ones who need it, for some nice-looking present for his girlfriend and perhaps to finally shake Alexander off his gloom and doom self.

Marcus makes use of both his rusty katana and his elemental powers to dominate his opponents. The mastery over Tetra grants him a pretty wide repertoire of moves. That much versatility however costs him the focus and as such he has no "super mode" to speak of, prefering to simply overwhelm his opponents with raw power alone.

  • Elemental Powers: He has powers over the four classical elements. For his final fight with Terios he combines them all into one which packs double the usual punch and grants him a variety of status effects to use.
  • Good Feels Good: His general philosophy.
  • Improbable Use of a Weapon: Unlike Stormer or Chiharu, Marcus uses his katana more like a freaky baseball bat to smash people into pieces by blunt force trauma than an actual sword.
  • Jack of All Stats: Compared to other characters Marcus has a little bit of everything. His defense is decent and so is his attack power, he has a variety of projectiles and defensive maneuvers, but doesn't excel in anything.
  • Nice Guy: Though perhaps a little brash, Marcus is a genuinely polite and well-meaning person. He's even somewhat saddened once Terios is finally gone.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: To Terios: "Well... this is it. Hope ya're ready."
  • Red Baron: "The Tetra Samurai".
  • Scarf of Asskicking

    Alexander Graham Payne
"This farce will come to an end very soon."
Voiced By:

Alexander Payne used to be a normal child until his thirteenth birthday. That day his life came into ruin as he had found nothing but burned remains of his house, not a single family member left alive. Among the ashes stood a fae by the name of Daeva that offered a hand to the confused youth, saying that he knows who should be held responsible for this. Taking up the training with a pair of crimson cleavers and under Daeva's tutelage Alexander became notorious across the United States for single-handedly taking apart gangs, criminal organizations and what have you. As he walked wherever the capricious fae told him, his heart had hardened and he himself began looking for more effective ways of fighting his unwinnable fight, such as the tournament organized by Anthony Caesar. Even if he has to put up with Remington for this and even if he's fully aware of tournament's true nature. And Daeva still watches...

Alexander doesn't pull any punches: his attacks are quick, efficient and brutal. The overwhelming barrage doesn't do much damage at first glance, but every now and then a tendon is severed, a bone snapped and enemy's ability to fight further decreased and further improving Alexander's own chances of winning. Backed up with a powerful shotgun and a variety of odd powers that don't seem to belong to an otherwise ordinary young man, this allows Alexander to choose the pace of battle and decide it as he sees fit.

  • Combat Pragmatist: His fighting style involves brutal attacks to the enemy's midsection, groin, knees, face, etc.
  • Doomed by Canon: He's fated to die in his universe's canon. Twice, even.
  • Damage Over Time: His style of fighting in a nutshell. Almost all his specials are some sort of Status Infliction Attack, cause knockback or otherwise completely mess up opponent's movement/fighting ability. Complete with a couple of dashes both backwards and forwards, Alexander can dictate the flow of the battle as he pleases.
  • Dual Wielding: Wields two cleaver-like blades.
  • Fragile Speedster: Without all this he's basically Stormer without the damage output and just marginally tougher.
  • Jerkass: Compared to pretty much every other fighter, Alexander is not a nice person.
  • Musical Theme Naming: His specials are named after Kreator's songs.
  • Pre-Asskicking One-Liner: To Terios: "You're nothing but a rabid dog and you shall be put down as such."
  • Red Baron: "The Crusader".
  • Shout-Out: His strongest Finalizer, Dying Race Apocalypse. It's very reminiscent to Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu- an extremely powerful unblockable grab that charges forwards, but can be jumped over.

From the Delta Universe:

    Aaron "Arsenal" Stählern
"Hey now, be nice."
Voiced By: Deltadromeus

Ex-vigilante extraordinaire, Aaron Stählern (Nicknamed "Arsenal"), is a rather docile young man with a profound fascination for weaponry. He was born into a family of religious sectarians. Their cult however, was notorious for their bizarre practices such as performing rituals to summon demons they believed to be "Gods of Peace". Arsenal, being the youngest and considered most innocent, was routinely used as a vessel for their rites and consequentially retained a portion of any summoned demon's powers. Orphaned in the aftermath of one particular ritual, he and his uncle leave the country. Through his resolution, he volunteered as a test subject for a government funded human enhancement experiment, "Project Pavise". The project was abruptly cancelled and only through a dedicated few were they able to successfully reinforce Arsenal's body and skeletal system with self-regenerating cells and outfitted him with transmogrifying prosthetics. He receives the invitation for the Clash of the Universes tournament years after. He hesitantly takes it as an opportunity to sharpen up his skills and haul in some cash, bringing Serin along into the fray.

Arsenal's melee is all about gymnastic gun-play, an elegant blend of martial arts and gun slinging. As such, his kicks in melee are stronger than his punches. In assault form, he utilizes his special powers along with interchangeable, energy based weaponry, which makes him perfect for zoning out opponents. His weapons of choice are chains, guns, and actual chain guns. When equipped with his rotary chain guns, however, his speed is harshly cut, making him vulnerable to agile attackers.

    Serin
"You think this is a game? Cause I love games."
Voiced By:

A former decommissioned service unit. Originally used as a dummy android programmed to read and record the opponent's tactics, she was used to test Arsenal's skills after the cancellation of "Project Pavise." After being deactivated, Arsenal was allowed to keep the android's data. With the help of experienced robotics engineer, Vinyl, that data was uploaded into a reassembled android shell and further upgraded to be enable it to fight. Serin's unique learning program along with the influence of Arsenal's dark powers allowed her to gain the power to control a certain amount of his magical energy and use it as her own. She also learns to identify and develop her own personality, which Arsenal likens to being a "rude, devilish, spoiled little brat." Despite this, the two are extremely close and are never seen apart. She accompanies Arsenal to the tournament in hopes of doing a little sight-seeing.

Serin primarily uses her robotic rabbit legs to kick and rocket opponents up and out of her immediate area. They also allow her to leap high, lunge at enemies or bounce off the ground to recover. Her swift, tiny punches hurt like bullets to the chest. She also makes use of her staff, amplified by her ability to control a shared amount of Arsenal's powers, to fire an array of small projectiles at the opponent.

Exclusive to this Game:

    Chairman Anthony Caesar
"Greetings, fighters. My name is Anthony Caesar."
Voiced By:

Anthony Caesar is the Chairman of the Nexus Corporation, and the man who organized the tournament and invited all the fighters. In his glory days, he was a former prizefighter in his world, a master of mixed martial arts and boxing. For many years, none who dared face him in the ring could best him, and he grew tired of not finding a worthy challenger. He retired from the professional fighting scene for over a decade, founding the Nexus Corporation with all the winnings he accumulated over the years and serving as it's chairman. He then decided to expand the horizons of his company to beyond his world, and organized a multiversal tournament to gain popularity in other worlds. Inviting many varied warriors from many different worlds, he intends for this to be a competition like no other. But his real intentions for organizing the tourney are far more sinister...

As the final boss of the game, he fights the superpowered roster with nothing but his boxing gloves and fighting knowledge. He will use fast and furious boxing moves, as well as counterattacks to give him a fighting chance against everyone else. Soon, all the fighters will see why he was called "King of the Ring".

  • Badass Normal: He uses his fists and fighting techniques to take on the rest of the superpowered cast. To further the point, he has absolutely zero projectile attacks.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: He fights you in a white suit and tie.

    Terios
I...I will f...fight everything...
Voiced By:

Inhuman. Monster. Abomination. Those are just a few of the words that can describe this androgynous horror of science. Created to be the perfect fighting being, Terios knows nothing else besides fighting and killing everything. Caesar had xem created to give himself a worthy challenge, and had the tournament created just to gather data from all the contestants and give it to xem. It knows every single move used by the entire roster. Terios' creators made xem to be the most powerful warrior ever, and they succeeded. And Amber unfortunately caused it to stir early...

As an amalgamation of the contestants' powers, Terios wields most of their special attacks and finalizers, but with a twisted take on them. In addition, xe is durable, has regenerative abilities, and has the ability to use character Finalizers without needing a power stock. Finally, Terios goes through three different phases as it takes damage, an abomination whose terrifying power grows increasingly stronger.

  • All Your Powers Combined: This was Anthony Caesar's plan- to create a being with the contestants' powers. Thus Terios was formed...
  • Artificial Brilliance: Is smart enough to use attacks in conjunction with each other. For example, using Calia's Ice Beam to freeze and debuff the player, then performing Stormer's very painful but easy-to-avoid Cross Shock... or one of Kain's powerful yet avoidable command grab moves.
  • Artificial Human
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Subverted. Terios has a lot of health (1600 for first two, 3200 for third, an average character has 1000) and 1.5x the defense, but xe does require careful strategy to defeat.
  • Eldritch Abomination: And a man-made one at that.
  • Humanoid Abomination: Terios in xyr first form. Xe looks human, but xyr face warps into a twisted version of that of the character who's move xe's copying, and xyr limbs transform into fleshy weapons to allow xem to properly replicate each character's moves.
  • Knight of Cerebus: Everything gets quite dark and frightening the moment xe shows up.
  • No Biological Sex: Terios was created genderless, and is referred to in "Xe" pronouns by the rest of the cast.
  • Regenerating Health: All three forms have a steady health regeneration.
  • Sequential Boss: Xe is one in a manner similar to Abyss. Round 1 consists of fighting xyr first two forms, when both are beaten, xe moves onto xyr final form in the next round.
  • SNK Boss: Xe can perform the characters' EX moves for zero power cost. Every other character requires half a power stock. The second form can perform level 1 hypers without any power cost. The final form can perform level 2 hypers for no cost! Aside from that, Xe also has hyper armor in second and third forms, as well as Regenerating Health in all forms...
