Devil Hand

A dark guild formed by Arkham and Vergil to attempt to give rise to Temen-ni-gru.

    Arkham/Jester

Arkham

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arkham_and_jester.png

A dark wizard who is obsessed with the Legend of Sparda and Lady's father.

  • Abusive Parent: Is this to Lady/Mary with Lucy admitting that what her dad did in Phantom Lord Arc looks like nothing. Makarov says that given his experience with abusive parents, namely his son Ivan implanting a Lacrima inside his grandson Laxus, what Arkham did was far worse, finding it evil, cruel, and completely unforgivable.
  • Arc Villain: He is the true antagonist and mastermind of the Devil Hand Arc.
  • Asshole Victim: His death is so deserved that even Lisanna, Mira, and Makarov are glad that Lady did it, with the latter two wishing they did it themselves.
  • Bald of Evil: Just as in canon, Arkham has a chrome dome with even Elfman calling him that creepy bald guy.
  • Big "NO!": His final word before Lady kills him.
  • The Chessmaster: A very dangerous and uncaring man, he manipulated both his enemies and allies to get to his goals, gathering the Seven Sins not only as keys to unlock the tower but dark wizards powerful enough rival Fairy Tail, fighting to weaken each other to the moment when only the weakened Vergil along with Dante, Natsu, Gray, and Erza or too weak to fight he takes advantage to this to beat them down.
    • He seems to also be an inventor, creating lacrimas with unique magic powers like the magic drain, which he gave to Levaitha/Sheeree, and a Steel Devil Slayer to his own daughter in an attempt to corrupt her.
  • Deader than Dead: If being shot multiple times by Lady wasn't enough, then Arkham is truly wiped out when his body is obliterated with Temen-ni-gru by Makarov's use of Fairy Law.
  • Evil Genius: You can call him every nasty thing in the book, but you gotta admit he is pretty much a genius in a lot of certain areas that even Ezra admits he's clever.
  • Foil: He is this to Master Hades, which Ultear remarks on. Both are dark wizards who use demonic energies to power themselves and their subordinates up. However, unlike Arkham, Hades is an example of Authority Equals Asskicking and can hold his own in a fight against Fairy Tail even before using his full power, while Arkham prefers manipulation to achieve his goals. Plus, Arkham is an example of Bald of Evil with a shaved face, while Hades has long, silver hair alongside an equally long beard.
  • Hate Sink: In Devil May Cry 3, he's already a bastard, but here he is somehow even more despicable. He uses Leviatha/Sheeree and Belzebub/Adrian, both children, to achieve his goals, implants a lacrima into Lady as an experiment, and starts a guild war by kidnapping Fairy Tail members. It's no surprise that every member of Fairy Tail hates his guts, with many even willing to suspend their no-kill rule.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Just as in canon, he got killed by his daughter, but to make things more satisfying Ezra stabs her sword into the same leg which he impaled his daughter with.
  • Manipulative Bastard:
    • He is a true master of this, even fooling Vergil of all people as well the Seven Sins (especially their youngest members Leviatha/Sheeree and Beelzebub/Adrian being taking advantage of their suffering).
    • He is again able to fool Fairy Tail themselves in his Jester disguise despite being suspicious of him only to lie to them that he is just here to watch the Guild War between Fairy Tail and Devil Hand. They never figure him out that he is Arkham in disguise, even saying he's a complete idiot.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: He implanted a Steel Devil Slayer lacrima in his daughter Lady in an attempt to corrupt her. However, it backfired, because, with that lacrima, Lady is able to help Fairy Tail even more and saves Dante's life from Job.
  • No Body Left Behind: Lady had already killed him by that point, but Makarov's use of Fairy Law destroyed the demonic tower Temen-ni-gru, and annihilated the now-demons body as well.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech. On the receiving end from Erza about why he can never never be like Sparda.
Erza: You don't know anything! Even if Sparda did make a sacrifice like that, he didn't do it solely to become a legend! He did it to protect this world. He may not have been perfect, but he was a caring and noble being who did everything he could to protect others. Everything you've done has been all for yourself. You've schemed, lied, and manipulated so many people to get here. You are no Sparda and you never will be, all you are is nothing more than a heartless monster!
  • The Strategist:
    • He perfectly knows that Fairy Tail's greatest strength is in unity so he decides to implement Divide and Conquer, using Temen-ni-gru location move as well using bait (with Mira, Lady, Ultear, and Angel).
    • Able to determine the identities of the descendants from the priestesses from centuries ago, including his wife (Lady's mother) but more impressively that the Strauss siblings are related to Angel of all people.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Although he has some demonic powers and enhanced physical abilities, Arkham admits he is no match against Sons of Sparda or much of Fairy Tail. Instead, his greatest abilities are his cunning and skill at manipulation, which even let him catch Fairy Tail off guard. Best shown when he not only teamed up with Vergil, but founded Devil Hand with the Seven Deadly Sins to serve not only as the keys to unlock Temen-ni-gru, but to fight on Fairy Tail head on when he can't.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He emotionally scarred his daughter Lady by killing her mother and was even willing to use both Leviatha/Sheeree and Beelzebub/Adrian: both emotionally traumatized children in his plot.

Jester

Jester is Arkham disguised as a court jester to fool Fairy Tail members and succeeded.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: Natsu threatened to burn him to a crisp if he didn't tell him who he is, how he knows about Vergil and Devil Hand, and why he's dressed like that.
  • Bullet Dancing: When Dante shoots at him, Jester just dances around the bullet. He did again when Erza had enough of him but with flying swords instead.
  • Dance Battler: When Jester reveals that he is Arkham he fought against the weakened and exhausted Fairy Tail members Dante, Natsu, Erza, and Gray while dodging, ducking, and dancing around their attacks.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Completely Averted. The members of Fairy Tail don't trust him for a second with Natsu and Dante most acting most hostile to him, Gray, Carla, Erza, and Juvia are somewhat suspicious, and Happy and Wendy (especially Happy) mostly scared of him.
  • Monster Clown: Happy and other members of Fairy Tail think he is a clown only for Jester to took it as an offense and says he is a court jester there is an art form and then suddenly shouting yell at Happy for that, scaring the blue Exceed cat.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: The one thing all of Fairy Tail's members find most annoying next to his Motor Mouth (which Dante, in particular, doesn't like that there's somebody else who talks more than him) is he doesn't care how uncomfortably and unexpected close he gets to them on multiple occasions.
    • Getting too close to faces like with Natsu, Happy, Lisanna, Dante, Elfman, and Wendy.
    • Running his fingers on Lucy's legs, making her scream and kick him away from her.
    • Kissing Erza's gloved hand like a gentleman and pinching both of Wendy's cheeks rather hard while the poor girl looking rather scared of him. Fortunately Carla made sure to get his filthy hands off her.
    • Poking the noses of both Dragon Slayers Wendy and Natsu when telling them to follow the nose.

Seven Deadly Sins

Seven elite fighters of Devil Hand guild as well as the keys to unlock Temen-ni-gru instead of the demons originally sealed within the tower. These Dark Wizards each have their own unique power which fits with their sin.

    In General
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/commission___deadly_sins_by_celestialrayna_dcdm8en.jpg

  • Badass Crew: They're proven to be quite powerful and deadly foes, each capable of giving even the most elite Fairy Tail members a challenge, but ultimately they're just pawns for Arkham to weaken Fairy Tail as well as Vergil.
  • Code Name: Like the Dark Guild Oración Seis, they have code names fitting their sins. Their names go from demons/fallen angels/ancient beast, while Leviatha and Asmodeus are giving more feminine names.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: When joining Vergil in unleashing Temen-Ni-Gru, they each channel their own magic power, which are black for Ibis, blood red for Satan, dark blue for Belpegor, dark green for Levathia, yellowish green for Asmodeua, grey for Beelzebub, and bright gold for Mammon.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Typical of their sins, most of these guys don't understand Fairy Tail's good traits.
    • Mammon accuses Gray of being just as greedy as him, but Juvia tells him that greed is a selfish desire, and that Gray solely does it for sake of others and would risk his life for it.
    • Asmodeua accuses Lucy of lusting over Celestial Spirits but gets punched by Loke, who tells her that some mages may treat Spirits as objects, but not Lucy. She has nothing but love for them and they choose to serve her.
    • Belphegor doesn't understand why the Fairy Tail wizards and other heroes would try and stop Temen-ni-gru as there will always be someone else who will try the same thing and it never ends, so why not give up. Modeus's response is that it's not an option because he would rather endure battles and risk dying than rather do no action at all.
    • Iblis of pride, with her magic power, believes that if she helps Vergil (because he is the oldest son of Sparda) defeat Mundus, he will become the new demon emperor and Iblis can become a magic goddess. She believes that everything weak (particularly Happy) should simply be discarded and killed, only for Dante to state that she's wasting potential alongside Happy.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: In some way, all their defeats are related to either their power and sin.
  • Mythical Motifs: Their codenames are based off of demons/fallen angels/ancient beast reflecting their sins.
  • Original Character: They're OCs made by the Author to fill in for the Seven Sin Keys to unlock Temen-ni-gru and give Fairy Tail some trouble at the same time.
  • Psycho Rangers: Each member of the Seven Deadly Sins is basically an Evil Counterpart against Fairy Tail, especially against their opponents.
    • Satan is this to Natsu and Gajeel as all three are Blood Knights, but while Natsu and even Gajeel can be serious at times, Satan is somewhat of a Psychopathic Manchild that just loves to fight.
    • Mammon is this to Gray Fullbuster as both are Maker Magic users. While Gray uses Ice-Make Magic, Mammon uses Gold Make Magic which happens to be harder than Ice-Make Magic. Also Gray is a Deadpan Snarker well Mammon is hammy. Finally, Gray's battle aura color is blue while Mammon's is yellow.
    • Beelzebub/Adrian and the Strauss Siblings are Take Over users but while Mira has Satan Soul, Elfman Beast Soul, and Lisanna Animal and later Dragon Soul, Beelzebub/Adrian has Wendigo Soul, having been cursed by the wendigo and eaten his parents and little sister, similar to how Elfman lost control of his Beast Soul and injured Lisanna, causing both to be consumed by guilt.
    • Belphegor, although he never fights her, is this to Lucy. Both use summoning magic but while Lucy uses Celestial Spirit magic, Belphegor uses Legion Magic with a bunch of drones. However, Lucy cares about her Spirits and fights alongside them, and is also hardworking and determined, while Belphegor is too lazy and would rather watch his Drones fight.
      • Also the Celestial Spirits are Bunny Ears Lawyers with each having unique personalities while Belphegor's Drones are emotionless and unthinking.
    • Iblis is this to Erza though they never met. Both are considered the strongest of their team. However, Erza is humble and cares for others while Iblis is arrogant and only cares about her Pride.
  • Quirky Mini Boss Squad: Manage to give Fairy Tail's more powerful members plenty of trouble, even when outnumbered.
  • Seven Deadly Sins: They represent the seven deadly sins as keys to unlock Temen-ni-gru and that powers them and most of them have the personality to match. The above codenames are also named after beings in folklore representing the sins.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Zigzagged, as some members get along better than others. Most don't really interact.
    • Leviatha generally doesn't like any of the others, with the exception of Adrian, as both of them are the youngest members of the team.
    • While Mammon initially seems to enjoy riling up Satan, after their Enemy Mine with the rest of the guilds they appear to be more along the lines of Vitriolic Best Buds.
  • Token Human: Even though the Devil Hand Guild is formed mostly of demons, they (next to Arkham and Vergil, although he is half-human/demon) are human and are dark wizards being the most powerful members too, and according to Arkham, souls of human can be corrupted with greater darkness than some demons and some of this is proven true (especially Asmodeus).
  • Unwitting Pawn: Ultimately they're just the steppingstones for Arkham, just like Vergil. Their real purpose was to battle, exhaust, and weaken Fairy Tail using their desires (Iblis, Mammon, Asmodeua, Belphegor, Satan) and using their emotional pain (Leviatha/Sheeree and Beelzebub). They're nothing more than pawns.

    Iblis
The leader and Strongest of the Seven Deadly Sins, she wields Morning Star Magic, a hybrid between light and dark magic. She represents the sin of Pride.
  • Always Someone Better: She is this to the rest of the Sins, being capable enough to battle Dante on even footing. Dante himself admits her power and sword skills surpass even Erza.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Dante couldn't help but feel somber as Iblis sacrifice her life to kill him and Happy because of her pride.
  • Ambition Is Evil: She joined Vergil and Devil Hand to become a Magic Goddess, aiming to become stronger than the Ten Wizard Saints.
  • Battle Aura: Her magic aura is pitch black.
  • Beauty Is Bad: She is an enemy of Fairy Tail, and a dark wizard that is also the leader of the sinners. Dante admits he finds her hot, flirting with her throughout their fight, much to Happy's annoyance.
  • Blatant Lies: She told Dante and Happy that Vergil handpicked her, but it was Arkham who found her.
  • Dangerous Forbidden Technique: The most powerful and dangerous of her Morning Star Magic is "Ultimate Morning Star Technique: Heavenly Black Hole" that not just killed her but came close to killing Dante and Happy, and would have destroyed Earthland itself.
  • Dark Is Evil / Light Is Not Good: Her Morning Star Magic is a combination of light magic and dark magic, which according to her moves as fast as light and is as all-consuming as darkness. She also wears a white dress and black wristbands and sandals.
  • Disappointed by the Motive: On the receiving end from Dante and Happy, who are not impressed with her reasons from joining a dark guild, saying they've heard the same speech plenty of times before.
  • The Dragon: As the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins, she acts this to her master Vergil while showing her pride as leader and second-in-command.
  • The Fighting Narcissist: Fitting for an Sin of Pride, she believes she is invincible in combat thanks to her incredible magic power and Morning Star Magic. She takes as much delight looking good/stylish while fighting Dante as she does actually fighting him, using her Heavenly Black Hole (which costs her her life) to ensure she defeats her opponents as soon as it looks like she could lose, unwilling to face the possibility she could have anything but a flawless or impressive victory.
  • Foil: To Erza. Both are powerful (and beautiful) female mages who are the leaders of their respective groups. But while Erza is a Team Mom, Iblis seems to care little for the others outside of having her title. Erza had a tragic background that she uses to push herself forward, and while confident in her skills, is humble enough to acknowledge that there are plenty of people stronger than her. By contrast, Iblis has no indication of a Dark and Troubled Past, joining a dark guild for ultimately petty reasons and has a Villainous Breakdown when it looks like she could lose.
  • The Force Is Strong with This One: Upon encountering Dante and Happy, the latter is intimidated by her mere presence, and Dante admits her magical power is greater than Erza's.
  • Icy Blue Eyes: Blue eyes and looks down on anyone she deems below her.
  • Lady of Black Magic: A graceful, beautiful and haughty woman who wears a revealing white dress, who also happens to wield the powerful Morningstar magic, even putting Dante on the defensive during their fight.
  • Lady of War: She's a beautiful and powerful sorcerss that Happy finds pretty intimidating because she resembles Erza, but according to Dante she is even stronger than Erza, much to Happy's comic horror.
  • Magic Knight: Iblis' Morningstar Magic allows her to manipulate light and darkness, creating and wielding Chaos Blades that she uses with a level of finesse and skill that even Dante acknowledges her being better than Erza.
  • Magic Meteor: Her 'Black Comet' projectiles.
  • Master Swordswoman: Her skill with her Chaos Blades is enough to put Dante on the defensive, and he notes her skills are superior to Erza's, herself an example of this trope.
  • Meaningful Name: Her Morning Star Magic comes from Lucifer Morningstar, the fallen angel that became the devil due to his Pride. Fitting for the sin of pride.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She's got quite a beautiful body with revealing skin like Navel-Deep Neckline, bare shoulders, legs and long blonde hair. Dante, of course, finds her quite a hottie, and flirts with her throughout their fight.
  • Mythical Motifs: An Satanic Archetype, given her power is Morning Star Magic that gives her black angel wings, and her sin being pride, the worst sin of all on top of being the most associated with Lucifer Morningstar.
  • Power Gives You Wings: Uses her magic to grant herself black angel wings once Happy starts assisting Dante.
  • Pride: She represents the sin of Pride which is the strongest of all the sins. Leads to her downfall since she was willing to kill Dante and Happy by taking her own life to create a black hole in an attempt to kill them both. It failed, and Dante couldn't help but feel sorrow, noting that's why pride is considered the worst of the sins.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: She is the leader of the Seven Sins for a good reason because she represents the sin of Pride, which according to her is the strongest of the Deadly Sins. She also fights pretty well against Dante of all people.
  • Shock and Awe: Chaotic Nebula, utilizing black lightning.
  • The Social Darwinist: She definitely has this attitude, especially given her calling Happy a weak creature and pest.
  • Smug Super: She represents the sin of Pride and she has the power to back up her ego.
  • Strong and Skilled: She wields an incredibly powerful magic and was holding her own against Dante, who needed Happy to gain an edge, and even admitted that she may be stronger than Erza. What's more is her sword skills with her Chaos Blades display amazing speed and precision that Dante admits put even Erza to shame.
  • Super-Toughness: Anyone able to take that many hits from Dante has to qualify. In the end, he didn't even finish her off, she did that to herself.
  • This Cannot Be!: Going hand in hand with the sin representing Pride, she cannot accept being beaten by Dante and Happy even attempting to pull a Taking You with Me, despite her life not being in danger.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Zigzagged, as she is quite wary of Dante's power, seeming to consider him a Worthy Opponent, but dismisses Happy completely as a threat, despite him helping Dante. Ultimately appears to have been played straight, as she is appalled at the idea of losing to them, suggesting she thought she could defeat them both.
  • Unrealistic Black Hole: Her "Ultimate Morning Star Technique: Heavenly Black Hole" that both took her life and came close to killing both Dante and Happy, rather than just destroy the tower and the world.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Being beaten by Dante and Happy does a number on her Pride, causing her to start Laughing Mad, greatly disturbing the two. She then proceeds to pull a Taking You with Me, despite the two not planning to finish her off.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Has long blond hair, and is a villainess willing to let Earthland be overrun by demons to became a magic goddess. Fittingly, her magic is black in color.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: Her Morning Star Magic is the hybrid of Light and Dark Magic, with Happy wondering how Vergil found her (it is Arkham who actually found her).
  • You Could Have Used Your Powers for Good!: Dante points out that if she joined a legal guild rather than a dark guild she could have easily made a name for herself.

    Mammon
A dark wizard who represents the sin of Greed because he wields Gold-Make Magic, which he can make gold and can melt it into a hot liquid.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Has tan skin.
  • Antagonist Abilities: Somewhat, his Gold-Make Magic is harder than Gray's Ice-Make which gives him both solid defense and harder offense and his Liquid Gold is said to burn hotter than fire, letting him easily melt through it. Luckily, Gray realized that also means that, where there's a melting point, there's a freezing point.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: He believed that his Gold-Make is better than Gray's Ice-Make, but Gray proved they're equally matched.
  • Badass Longcoat: He's got a golden long coat.
  • Battle Aura: His magic aura is golden yellow.
  • Berserk Button: He really hates it when people touch his treasure hoard. Gray and Juvia using it as ammunition and destroying it respectively makes him immediately break out his most powerful attack.
  • Break Them by Talking: He delivers one to Gray that he is just as greedy as him, using his guilt over Ur's demise and calling out on his deepest desire to get more power isn't protecting his teammates, but getting revenge. This makes Gray pissed and subsequently sloppy, almost losing several times if it wasn't for Juvia giving a Shut Up, Hannibal! back at him.
  • Bright Is Not Good. He is a Gold-Make wizard with gold powers and wears a golden jacket and he is a Dark Wizard who helps the end of the world in Earthland.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Although he's a wisecracker compared to the other sins, he's still a dangerous foe. While he was battling both Gray and Juvia he turned the latter into a golden statue and almost killed Gray. When he is using his Golden Meteor Juvia and Gray had to use a Unison Raid to counter, and even then, they only succeeded because Ultear used her Arc of Time (which counters most Maker Magic's) to weaken his attack.
  • Curse Cut Short: When his golden meteor is weakened by Ultear's Arc of Time he says this before Gray and Juvia's ice water attack hits him.
    "Ultear… you bitch…!"
  • Foil: Towards Gray. Both are snarky Maker mages that poke fun at their more fight-happy companions (Natsu and Satan respectively). But while Gray is fair skinned, constantly shirtless and uses solid ice contructs, Mammon is Ambiguously Brown, has a Badass Longcoat and his Gold Make can turn molten at will. While Gray is a selfless individual whose primary desire is to honour his family (both birth and adopted), being content with his current Family of Choice, Mammon is a selfish asshole whose sole desire lies in material wealth, being unconcerned with his teammates.
  • Evil Is Hammy: He is a Dark wizard and who loves to wisecrack wordplay joker a lot.
  • Expy: He's based on Greed of Fullmetal Alchemist. They're driven by the sin of greed, with Mammon even using some of Greed's lines.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Just like Greed, he is pretty charming, fun-loving, and he says he represents the sin that is the most fun and rewarding of all the sins (that is somehow a bit true compared to the other sinners).
  • Force and Finesse: In his fight against Gray, he is the force thanks his Gold-Make's superior hardness giving him a massive advantage in terms of brute force. Meanwhile, Gray is the finesse, using more varied weapons and relying on his wits to overcome him.
  • The Force Is Strong with This One: When unleashing his Golden Meteor, Gray and Juvia are shocked by the sheer amount of magical power he possesses. Even Ultear, who has been in the presence of magical powerhouses like Jellal and Hades is awed.
  • Gold Is Yellow: His magic got yellow color while making gold, in contrast to Gray's blue.
  • Greed:
    • He certainly does a good job representing the sin of Greed. He joined Devil Hand just to get treasure that Arkham promised, and wants to fight strong opponents like Dante, Natsu, and Ezra, but he is somewhat disappointed to get Gray, whom he called "Ice Stripper" much to Gray's comic anger.
    • When Arkham reveals that he used the Seven Sins as Unwitting Pawn's, Mammon joins forces with Gray, Juvia, and the other light guilds to pay him back.
  • Heel–Face Turn: He alongside his only comrade Satan want revenge against Arkham for using them, even forming an Enemy Mine with Gray, Juvia, and Fairy Tail (plus Lamia Scale with Blue Pegasus) and after the battle, he got no reason to fight anymore. When the Rune Knight orders his arrest, Mammon doesn't bother to resist, just getting it over with, but he still took Lahar's glasses much to his irritation and getting a good laugh out of Satan, with some of the good guys joining to.
  • Kung-Fu Wizard: When not using his magic in a fight, he could match blows with Gray.
  • Metallic Motifs: Gold. Fitting for a Gold-Make wizard with greater power than Gray's Ice-Make, as well his greedy personality.
  • Multi-Melee Master: Just like other Maker magic users he is this, having fought equally against Gray. Helps that his Gold Make is harder than his Ice Make.
  • My Kung-Fu Is Stronger Than Yours: Since his Gold-Make Magic is harder than ice and the hold liquid could melt his Ice-Make, he believed that Gray is no match to him, but Gray proved him otherwise being more creative and with Liquid Gold is if there is an melting point there also a cooling point.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Fitting for someone representing Greed.
  • Swiss-Army Superpower: Just as above the things he made of gold are.
  • Underestimating Badassery. He doesn't expect much of a challenge from Gray and Juvia, finding Gray as some stripper but finds Juvia a looker but when Gray froze his Liquid Gold he was somewhat impressed.

    Asmodeua
A dark wizard who represents the sin of lust with Spider-like magic powers.
  • Animal Motif: Spiders. Not only does she have Spider-like magic powers with tattered webs on her arms, but she also used to be called the Black Widow when she's confronted by Lucy and Lisanna she called them little Fairies flown into her web.
  • Asshole Victim: Absolutely no tears were shed when she was killed.
  • Break Them by Talking: Being experienced at Cold-Blooded Torture, she has plenty of practice with this. Brings up how Lucy's desire for the golden Celestial Spirit keys is similar to her lust for people's souls, wanting to collect them and bring them under her power, making the poor girl question her own character. Thankfully, Loke came through with a punctuated Shut Up, Hannibal!, rebutting that Lucy genuinely cares for her spirits.
  • Dark Action Girl: Next to Iblis and Leviatha (before she reformed), she is one dangerous mage, facing off against action girls like Mira, Lisanna, and Lucy.
  • Dark Is Evil: Has black hair, wears black clothing, her Animal Motif is that of spiders, she wields venomous powers and is the most evil of the Sins.
  • Depraved Bisexual: She's interested in both men and woman, but prefers women. When she fought against Mira, the latter was uncomfortable with how she was looking at her (even in her Satan Soul form) and when she met both Lucy and Lisanna she commented on their bodies, with both of them covering themselves and feeling freaked out. Lucy even commented that while she gets perved on by a lot of guys, she finds her another level of sick.
  • Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Pale skin? Check. Long black hair? Check. Creepy as hell? She makes spiders look cute and cuddly by comaparison, so check.
  • Evil Wears Black: She wears black that includes shirt, skirt, black heals showing her long legs, with matching lipstick and she is the evilest of all the sinners, matching Arkham in terms of evil.
  • Expy: As Mammon is an Expy to Fullmetal Alchemist's Greed, she is one to Lust (as her sin she represents as well) both are seductive black-haired women and use claws.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her lust expresses itself as excessive sadism, giving her opponents plenty of chances to fight back. What's more, her inability to understand love renders her attempts to Break Them by Talking significantly less effective.
  • Femme Fatalons: Her main weapons are Absurdly Sharp Claws named Spider Venom as she was able to wound Mira, slash and pierce Celestial Spirits like Taurus and Aries, and fight Loke to a standstill.
  • Foil:
    • She is somewhat this to Loke. While Loke might be a womanizer he is a Chivalrous Pervert and cares about his friends (Humans and Spirits alike), Asmodeua is an Axe-Crazy psychpath who only cares about her lust (pleasure), with all her 'partners' being left as Empty Shell's. Also, Loke's magic color is gold, prefers punches and has a straightforward fighting style while her magic is green uses claws as melee weapons and uses various underhanded tactics to gain an advantage.
    • To Angel. Both were the respective dark action girls of an elite dark guild, both made use of underhanded tactics against opponents, and both are not as powerful in a straight fight as their teammates. However Angel wore white clothing and used her Celestial Spirits to fight, while Asmodeua wears black clothing and fights herself. Whereas Angel had a Freudian Excuse, truly cares for her younger sister, and pulled a Heel–Face Turn in the time skip, Asmodeua has no such thing, cares solely for satisfying her own lust, and is evil to the end.
    • To Lucy and Lisanna. Like her, they are not as directly powerful in a fight and the latter also has animal motifs. However while Asmodeua has dark hair and embodies the sin of lust, never being satisfied with what she takes from her 'partners', Lucy and Lisanna have light hair colours and are driven by love for their friends.
  • Grayscale of Evil: She is extreme pale, has black hair and clothes, and most psychotic of the Seven Sins.
  • Green and Mean: Her magic power is colored green, and she is without a doubt the nastiest and most unsympathetic of all the sinners.
  • Hate Sink: Unlike some of the other Sins who get some sympathy from the Fairies (Leviatha/Sheeree and Beelzebub/Adrian because of their tragic pasts, Iblis and Belphegor from their deaths) she is so vile and monstrous that her demise at the hands of Loke, Lisanna, and Lucy is treated as disposing of a demon.
  • Kiss of Death: Downplayed, in that her Venom Kiss is not fatal, but it leaves the victim paralyzed, leaving them at her (nonexistent) mercy.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: She's got three ways that lead to her death.
    • She brags that lust is everlasting but that doesn't mean that can't be stopped by Lucy, Lisanna, and Loke.
    • She chose Angel as her next victim, but the woman was able to channel her remaining Celestial Wizard powers into Lucy, allowing her to use Urano Metoria as the Finishing Move.
    • When she and others captured Mira and Angel to use their blood, she commented that was she hoping to have Mira's adorable little sister. Lisanna ends up playing a key role in ensuring her demise.
  • Lecherous Licking: She does this to Angel on her cheek in her web while Angel was crying Tears of Fear.
  • Makeup Is Evil: The only member of the Sins who wears make up and easily the most loathesome member of the group.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: Despite having such a slime figure, she proves capable of a fierce kick towards a pillar.
  • Poisonous Person: She has magic venom just as spiders to paralyze her opponent and prey.
  • Psycho Lesbian: While she is bisexual, she primarily displays interest in girls. She is an extreme and rather dark version of this trope, given what she does to her victims, and when she talks to Lisanna and Lucy about their 'wonderful features', both girls start shivering, with Lucy saying that she's been perved on by a lot of guys but this feels like another level of sick.
  • Psychopathic Womanchild: Becomes enraged when Leviatha insults her, almost attacking her then and there and has a Villainous Breakdown when her fight with Lucy and Lisanna stops going her way.
  • Really Gets Around: Oh boy, she's definitely fit to be a sin of Lust. She went so far as to call herself lust everlasting to Lucy and Lisanna, though she elaborates that she considers the sin as many types of pleasure and desire. She then states that her favorite type is the lust for her victims' souls, making this a particularly dark variant.
  • Recurring Element: The first of Iron117Prime's spider-villainesses.
  • Shipper on Deck: Mockingly suggests that Leviatha has something going on with Beelzebub.
  • Sickly Green Glow: How her venom magic appears, fitting given her personality.
  • Tattooed Crook: She's got spiderwebs tattooed on her arms.
  • This Cannot Be!: Right before being hit by Lucy and Angel's Urano Metoria, she desperately yells that she is lust everlasting and cannot be killed. Is instantly proven wrong.
  • Tomboyish Pony Tail: Has one, and exhibits plenty of (negative) masculine traits.
  • The Vamp: Uses her looks to lure in Taurus (no that that's much of an accomplishment) and deliver her Kiss of Death.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Compared to the other Sins she lacks brute strength (Satan and Beelzebub) or fancy powerful magic spells (Iblis, Mammon, Belphegor, and Leviatha), but she makes up for it using her incredible speed, agility, paralyzing poison, and psychological tactics. She is an expert in exploiting enemies' weaknesses, using Taurus' personality against him (though admittedly that's not very hard) to lure him in and finish him off with her Kiss of Death.
  • Wolverine Claws: Has long and sharp claws that she coats in her venom magic for combat.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Has no issues attacking Leviatha when the latter insults her.

    Belphegor
A dark wizard who represents the sin of Sloth. Instead of fighting himself, he uses Legion magic where he uses Drones to fight for him.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: Modeus and Trish (especially the former) were shocked that Vergil killed him without a care.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Has even darker skin than Mammon.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Inverted. Blue is his primary color scheme and he is one of the villains.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: He might be a lot smarter than he lets on, as he perfectly understands that even though Lisanna has a Dragon Takeover she isn't an actual dragon, as he explained to Satan.
  • Cool Chair: He got a magical hovering chair because of his laziness.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Begins to deliver this to Trish and Modeus once he breaks out Chimera Mode. Modeus turns the tables on him by using his Devil Trigger, destroying the armor piece by piece.
  • Deadpan Snarker: He is usually sarcastic and typically speaks in a deadpan voice (probably because he's too lazy to show emotion).
  • Dirty Coward: When Modeus unleashes his Devil Trigger and beats his ass, Belphegor tried to make a run for it. He might be lazy as hell, but he still prefers to live.
  • The Force Is Strong with This One: Even thought he's lazy, both Modeus and Trish are surprised that he's got a lot of magic power that the former is just holding back.
  • Emo Teen: He definitely acts like one. Trish even calls him an Emo.
Belphegor: [Sighs] What did you expect from someone who's supposed to represent Sloth?
  • Foil: He is this to Lucy (even though they didn't face off). Both use Summon Magic as their main power, however, while Lucy is pretty weak compared to her comrades (and she is the resident Butt-Monkey), she is far from useless as she proves to be brave, determined, hardworking, and motivated for her guild. While Belphegor is just lazy, somewhat pessimistic unmotivated and also a coward that rather runs from the fight when cornered compared to Lucy (before cornered, probably running for her life at the same time screaming too) willing to fight to her last breath.
    • Their magic is also different as while Lucy uses Celestial Magic using keys (holding magic), Belphegor uses caster magic.
    • Also they summon very different creatures. Lucy summons spirits, with each having unique personalities and feelings, and Lucy cares about their wellbeing. Meanwhile Belphegor just summons drones who are nothing but puppets that don't get either personality, unique characteristics, or intelligence, and Belphegor just doesn't care if one is destroyed, just summoning new ones.
      • Special mention goes to Lucy's spirit Taurus and Belphegor's Minotaur might. Both are bovine based, but just as above Minotaur is an unthinking drone while Taurus might be a Dumb Muscle and a pervert, but cares about Lucy (and vice versa). While Taurus got white fur Minotaur has black fur also Taurus carries a large double-bladed Axe to Minotaur large club.
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: When Trish and Modeus think they've destroyed all of his minions Belpegor instead simply gets off his hovering throne with one trick left that requires extra work: using his Chimera Formation. While doing so Modeus senses his magic power and realizes that he might be lazy but isn't holding back.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Zigzagged! He is young man got a long hair, but he is just lazy to even attempt to...pretty much anything.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: At the hands of Vergil no less!
  • Lazy Bum: He does represent the sin of Sloth. He doesn't walk sit in his chair either time doesn't show much emotion unmotivated only joined because of his boredom when he fights he is just holding back.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: His Chimera Formation. He uses his strongest creatures to merged together for an Armor and it makes him some sort of Lightning Bruiser with All Your Powers Combined.
  • Summon Magic: His magic is called Legion Magic where he just summons drones to fight for him (he does represent the sin of sloth). The minions he summons are.
  • Nerves of Steel: Is unfazed as Modeus and Trish tear through his minions, though more likely due to laziness. Subverted when Modeus uses his Devil Trigger for the first time, making him feel fear.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: Vergils swiftly kills him as soon as he attempts to flee after losing to Trish and Modeus, even saying 'what a wasteful life'.
  • Zerg Rush: He sends multiple mooks to fight his enemies, since no matter how many they destroy he can just send just wave after wave. When Trish and Modeus fought him both of them were pretty exhausted by this, even before he uses Chimera Mode.

    Satan
A dark wizard who represents the sin of Wrath. He uses some kind of magic where when enemies hurt him, he becomes stronger.
  • Achilles' Heel: He only gets more power if you hit him, but Gajeel uses his Iron Dragon Scales to use as a defense to weaken him manages a Victory by Endurance.
  • Angry Guard Dog. His strongest and most powerful attack is Cerebus Fang, some kind of Shaping Your Attacks in the form of a Red dog-like beast that is powerful enough to weaken Mira and match Natsu's Fire Dragon Roar in a Beam-O-War, and is used to destroy hordes of Demons.
  • Attack! Attack! Attack!: Satan's fighting style is basically that of a brawler, as all of his spells are offense and lacks defense spells, with his sheer toughness and Healing Factor make up for it and the more damage he takes, the stronger he gets.
  • Battle Aura: His magic aura is blood red.
  • Bald Head of Toughness: Is bald and one of the toughest fighters in Devil Hand, able to give hard challenge against Natsu, Gajeel and Lily, all at once.
  • Bald of Evil: He's got a bald head and is an aggressive Dark Wizard.
  • The Berserker: Fits this to a tee, being incredibly aggressive in a a fight. Justified since his magic give him power the more he gets hit, making this an effective strategy.
  • Blood Knight: Oh boy, this guy is even more of a Blood Knight than Natsu and Gajeel combined (which is saying something). He mostly only wants to fight. No wonder he represents the sin of wrath. After seeing Makarov, Jura, and Gildarts in action he wants to fight them later, and the only time he didn't want to fight is after the destruction of Temen-ni-gru, shocking Natsu who considers it Out of Character. Because with Arkham dead and without negative energy getting out of with the Happy Ending 'fuddy-duddy crap', he just decides to chill. He's even arrested without a fight, but only so he can crack the skulls of some Dark Wizards in a prison.
  • Bond Villain Stupidity: His defeat against Gajeel when he tells him Natsu and Panther-Lily that his powers come from violence, so Gajeel uses his Iron Dragon Scales as a Stone Wall to defeat him.
  • The Brute: Let's see...he is the most muscular member, check. He's aggressive, check. He's not that bright, check. He represents the sin of wrath, COMPLETELY CHECK.
  • Color Motif. Blood red as in Red Is Violent is more than fitting he got blood-red skin his Battle Aura is red his attacks got a red color each.
  • Dumb Muscle: He is all sheer strength as representing the sin of Wrath, but is one big idiot that makes even Natsu look smart.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: Has a deep, booming voice, befitting a brute.
  • Foil: Towards both Natsu and Gajeel. Both love an good fight, but even they can be serious and can be [1]. But Satan is just a [2], not to mention [3] as he just uses his strength to fight.
  • Good Thing You Can Heal: He can easily heal his wounds in a fight which makes him much stronger even.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: To represent the sin of Wrath you need someone who is big, violent, angry, irritated, aggressive, loud, and angry all the time and Satan is perfect for it.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Zigzagged. He didn't become and good guy but after hearing along with Mammon that Arkham used them as pawns for his plan, he is so angry that he joined forces with Fairy Tail in an Enemy Mine and after the battle, he compliments Natsu then just lets himself be arrested by the Magic Council without a fight.
  • Hit Me, Dammit!: His main fighting style to use his opponent's violence to become even stronger. Gajeel realizes this and uses his Iron Dragon Scales to make a barrier, making Satan hit him and making sure he doesn't hit him to beat him.
  • The Juggernaut: His magic makes him this natch. Even without any boosts he qualifies as a Lightning Bruiser, but the more an opponent tries to hurt him, the bigger, stronger and tougher they make him.
  • Kung-Fu Wizard: Satan's usage of his magic and his hand-to-hand combat are at the level that even Natsum Gajeel and Panther-Lily had hard time against him.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Satan's huge size makes him the main powerhouse of the Deadly Sins. He is strong enough to destroy a wall, can face off against Mira, Natsu, Gajeel, and Lily, and he can run at speeds that would be impossible for his size. What's more, his magic make attempt to damage him give him even more power.
  • Muscles Are Meaningful: He's the biggest and most muscular member of the Sins and when he gets hit his muscles get bigger and stronger.
  • Playing with Fire: He Bloody Flame Strike is similar to Natsu's Fire Dragon Iron Fist but with blood-red fire made out of energy.
  • The Power of Hate: How his magic works. The more violence and wrath an opponent inflicts on him, the bigger and stronger he grows.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: Gets very angry yet excited when he gets to fight. When unable to he sounds like a child throwing a tantrum.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Has red skin and magic, wears black shorts and has a black guild emblem on his right shoulder.
  • Tattooed Crook: Doesn't wear a shirt so has his guild mark on his shoulder rather than his clothes.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Satan is a The Brute through and through, as he relies purely on sheer muscles strength and flames in fights instead of any clever attacks compared to other Sins giving his magic makes him bigger and stronger with each hit to the point overpowering Natsu, Gajeel and Panther-Lily simultaneously, with Gajeel being forced to Stone Wall by using Iron Dragon Scales to make him hit-to-hit until Victoryby Endurance to drain Satan's power and exhaust his stamina.
  • Villainous Friendship: With Mammon. Both working along the light guilds, fighting against the demon horde and when things look like they're about to end badly for everyone he and Mammon give each other a nice knowing you. When they surrender to the Magic Council and Mammon swipes Lahar's glasses, they share a laugh (with some good guys joining in).
  • Villain Respect: After the destruction of Temen-ni-gru, he says that Natsu's got spunk.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: He doesn't have any clothing he walks bare-chested showing how ripped he is and might also be somewhat practical sins his muscles grow larger with more violence.
  • Would Hit a Girl: He has no problem fighting Mira, though considering Mira is an S-Class mage with Demon powers this is justified. He considers it his best fight in ages and when he heard of Lisanna having a Dragon-Takeover he expresses some excitement at the idea of fighting a Dragon.

    Leviatha/Sheeree Marvell

See her folder here

    Beelzebub/Adrian
A child cursed by Wendigo Takeover, which gives him a never sating hunger. He represents the sin of Gluttony.
  • Affectionate Gesture to the Head: From Elfman right before he Disappears into Light.
  • Afterlife Welcome: Gets to see his family again upon reaching the afterlife.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: His tragic backstory coupled with his curse meant his death witnessed by Elfman and Mira brought both plenty of sorrow. Later the reformed Leviatha (now Sheeree again) felt complete guilt for not helping him. Later both Makarov and Lisanna felt sadness for him from Mira and Elfman respectively (which makes Arkham's death even more deserved).
  • Big Brother Instinct: Had a younger sister, whom he tried to protect from the Wendigo. Tragically the beast only let him out after it had devoured her and the rest of his family.
  • Black Eyes of Crazy: Turn this right before he transform into the Wendigo, whose empty eyes unnerve Elfman.
  • Break the Cutie: Was once a normal boy who lived happily with his family. Then the Wendigo came along, possessed him, ate said family and left him as the traumatized Death Seeker he is in the present.
  • Child Mage: A year older than Wendy and Leviatha, but his Wendigo Take-Over makes him a dangerous opponent.
  • Children Are Innocent: He, along with Leviatha/Sheeree, are the youngest and most sympathetic members of the Seven Deadly Sins compared to their adult members.
  • Close-Range Combatant: His Wendigo Soul, (much like Elfman's Beast Soul), lacks any ranged attack spells, but is still physically strong enough to fight both Elfman and Mira despite it's bone thin body, and its Extreme Omnivore nature lets it consume body heat, leaving his opponents in agony when he so much as touches them. Said Extreme Omnivore nature also lets him offset the usual weakness of this by letting him eat ranged attack spells like Mirajane's Darkness Stream in a similar manner to Dragon Slayers, forcing her to fight up close where he has the advantage.
  • Cooldown Hug: Gets one of these from Mira and Elfman after hearing his Dark and Troubled Past.
  • Curse: While he can use it like a Take-Over mage, the Wendigo really just possesses him whenever it activates, devouring anything and anyone in the vicinity when unleashed. Even Mira and Elfman, two expert Take-Over mages, have never heard of anything like it.
  • Creepy Child: He is an emotionless child that is possessed by Wendigo... not the mention his trauma is understandable.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Oh boy even more than Leviatha/Sheeree and that is pretty sad. This boy ends up suffering even more than her. He once lived in a village with his sister and parents, when one day a monster called the Wendigo came. When he tried to protect them the Wendigo possessed him similar to a Take-Over, but by the time he regained awareness the beast had eaten his family, and everyone else in his village. Since then, using his Curse unleashes the beast on anyone nearby, killing and devouring them. It's reached the point that by the present he is full-on Death Seeker, and his sole reason for joining Devil Hand is that Vergil promised to kill him once they were done.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Although he wears a dark hoodie and was cursed by the Wendigo Soul (a monstrous and dangerous Take Over), Adrian himself is ultimately a good kid who was Forced into Evil by tragic circumstances and Arkham's manipulations. In contrast to the rest of the Sins, his sole request was for Vergil to kill him after he does his job.
  • Death Seeker: The trauma of everything the Wendigo has made him do has broken him to the point where honestly craves release. His sole request to Vergil upon joining Devil Hand was that the half-demon kill him once their task was finished, something the man agreed to.
  • Extreme Omnivore: He represents the sin of Gluttony which, according to him, fits the Wendigo almost perfectly, since the Wendigo consumes all in its path without hesitation until it's satisfied but the irony is that the Wendigo is never satisfied.
    • It is so pronounced that he can touch someone (as he demonstrates with Elfman) and eat his body heat, leaving him freezing, and when Mira uses Darkness Stream he can actually eat pure magic power the same way Dragon Slayers can eat their element.
  • Foil: Towards his fellow sin Asmodeua. Both use have dark color schemes use ominous magic and willingly joined Devil Hand for personal reasons. But while Asmodeua thrives on inflicting pain and misery and joined to continue, Adrian is horrified each time he uses his powers and joined simply so he could die. Their approached to combat also differ, with Asmodeua being a Weak, but Skilled Combat Pragmatist who favors psychological tactics and the Wendigo being an Unskilled, but Strong berserker capable of overwhelming some of Fairy Tail's more powerful members. their deaths are also complete opposites, with Asmodeua being killed in the midst of a Villainous Breakdown, without any regret from those there, Adrian pulled a Heroic Sacrifice, went out with a peaceful look, driving Mira and Elfman to tears.
  • Go Out with a Smile: As he dies, he has a small smile on his face upon reuniting with his family in the afterlife.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: The Wendigo consumes everything in sight when unleashed, including people.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Elfman describes the Wendigo as this since despite his overwhelming size and skinny form, he is both fast and strong enough that he almost killed Elfman if not for Mira's aid. He was later able to overpower her, and would have won if it weren't for Elfman forcing himself to hold him down when Mira attack him Soul Extinction, and even that didn't kill him.
  • Mirror Character: He is this with the Strauss siblings.
    • To Mira: both are their family's oldest sibling and they are among the strongest of their guilds (Mira being one of Fairy Tail's S-Class wizards, Adrian the same for Seven Sins) and both received their Take Over powers when they were 13 - interestingly, while Mira believed her powers were just a curse, Adrian's are an actual curse.
    • To Elfman: both lost control in their first full-body Takeovers. While Elfman injured Lisanna, an event that still haunts him (particularly since he thought he had killed her), Adrian killed his own family.
    • To Lisanna: both are their team's youngest member (Lisanna among her siblings, Adrian among the Sins) and his death is pretty similar to how Lisanna was thought to have died - while smiling.
  • My Greatest Failure: The entire incident where the Wendigo first possessed him and devoured his family. Mira and Elfman both tell him that it wasn't his fault.
  • Mythical Motifs: Wendigo's, given it's his Take-Over. Wendigo Soul lets him take a monstrous form with bone thin body and limbs, while being very strong, Horror Hunger and is a very dangerous foe for both enemies and victims.
  • Nothing Is Scarier: Wendigo Take-Over is pretty unsettling itself but here is the real scary thing... what the hell is the Wendigo? Neither Elfman nor Mira had ever seen or heard something like it, with Mira noting that her Satan Soul (with powers and abilities from multiple demons) looks like Peter Pan compared to Wendigo. Not even Makarov knows.
  • Redemption Equals Death: Pulled a Heroic Sacrifice by getting the Wendigo to consume itself, before peacefully passing away in his human body. Elfman later declares he went out as a true man.
  • Skull for a Head: The Wendigo's most unsettling feature is its head, which resembles a goat skull with long curved horns and razor-sharp teeth that will consume all. This is combined with a powerful bite force that gives him an advantage over Elfman and Mira, and he almost killed them.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Despite looking like a child, he proved capable of lifting Mira even in human form.
    • The Wendigo is twice Elfman's height and its limbs look like they're just bones. Despite this, it overpowered both him and Mira in their subsequent fight.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Beelzebub doesn't have the combat experience like Elfman (a heavy melee fighter) and Mira (being an expert in Take-overs) but the Wendigo is not only fast and strong but fighting him is incredibly difficult as he is incredibly savage and can eat Magic attacks. He was able to overpower Elfman and Mira in their Take-over forms and could have killed them if it weren't for Adrian's Heroic Sacrifice.
  • Villainous Friendship: Gets along well with Leviatha, owing to them being the youngest and most sympathetic of the sins. She recirpocates being greatly saddened upon hearing that he had died.
  • Wendigo: His Takeover is called Wendigo Soul, a very ancient, dangerous, powerful, and deadly creature that is either a special kind of demon or something with Mira finding comparing it to her Satan Soul Peter Pan compared to Wendigo.

Three Brothers

The Three Brothers are animalistic demons from the Devil Hand.
    In General
  • Badass Crew: Not on the same level as Seven Sins (Fangor notices that Leviatha, despite her human race and age, is among the strongest of the Sins) they're still deadly in their own right.
  • Evil Counterpart: These three are this compared to Team Shadowgear and the Thunder Legion. Both teams are made of three members and not compared to their stronger comrades Fairy Tail's Strongest Team and Devil Hand's Seven Deadly Sins but formidable in their own right.
  • The Worf Effect: These guys are pretty dangerous foes but they're small fry compared to above the Seven Deadly Sins (And they're humans) but Cragnar did almost killed Natsu and Lisanna and it took Natsu two advantage techniques to kill that guy.
  • Tattooed Crook: They each bore the Devil Hand emblem.

    Cragnar
A Lizard/Crocodile demon that attacks Natsu and Lisanna in an attempt to capture the latter.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: He is this to his brothers, who wish to avenge him by killing Fairy Tail, especially Natsu.
  • Asshole Victim: He is is this to Natsu, who killed him for almost killing Lisanna. When Natsu reveals that he burned him to ashes, his friends notice how cold his tone was how he said that.
  • Break Them by Talking: He uses this towards Natsu by telling he is weak and that his mentor Igneel would be ashamed about it too and that dragons are extinct. That makes Natsu pissed enough to attack Cragnar carelessly, which is exactly what the latter was counting on.
  • The Brute: He challenges to Natsu to a fight. His strength, toughness, and viciousness nearly prove enough to kill him and Lisanna.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: He got an deep and reptilian voice.
  • Eye Scream: By Lisanna in her [[She-Cat]] form, with her response, mess with a cat you get the claws.
  • Knight of Cerebus: He is a deadly foe for sure, coming close to killing both Natsu and Lisanna.
  • In the Hood: He wears a hooded robe to conceal himself until he took it off reveal himself as a demonic lizard towards Natsu and Lisanna.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Cragnar is as big as Elfman's Beast Soul and just as strong and very fast and durable too.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He has red reptilian eyes with slits.
  • Reptiles Are Abhorrent: He is a reptile demon that looks like a cross between a crocodile and a Komodo Dragon
  • Small Role, Big Impact: He only appears in 2 chapters but he is responsible for injuring Lisanna which Natsu was forced to use Dragon Slayer Secret Art: Blood Soul Fire to save her which gives her Dragon Soul.
  • This Cannot Be!: When he is about to be beaten by Natsu is his response.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Natsu warns him to never come near Lisanna or harm her again. Seconds later he slashes the girl in the throat. Unsurprisingly, an enraged Natsu incinerates him in retaliation.
  • Would Hita Girl: His target is Lisanna. When he captured her, he attempted to eat her, and fatally injured her.

    Ravairy
One of the three Brothers and a Raven demon.
  • Creepy Crows: He is a humanoid raven.
  • Force and Finesse: He is the finesse to Fangor's force with his speed, flight and talons and Fangor's size, strength and sharp teeth towards Dante...still they lose of course.

    Fangor
One of the Three Brothers and a Shark demon.
  • The Brute: Next to Cragnar he is the other Muscle of the Three Brothers.
  • Force and Finesse: He is the force towards Ravairy's finesse with Fangor's strength, size and sharp teeth with Ravairy flight, speed and claws against Dante...they still lost of course.
  • Swallowed Whole: He does with Dante...bad idea.
  • Threatening Shark: He is a Shark demon.

Grimoire Heart

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grimoire_heart_banner.png

A dark guild and the most powerful member of the Balam Alliance, they're also a cult that worships Mundus.

    In General
  • The Cult: This version act more as a cult that worships Mundus, believing him to be the One Magic.
  • Mythical Motifs: Devils. They worship Mundus, have knowledge about demonic arts and even have a Hell Hound as an Angry Guard Dog too.
  • Religion of Evil: The guild is like a cult that worships Mundus as their almighty god. The author even listed them as dark version of Christian faith.
  • Unwitting Pawn: They are just being used by Mundus as pawns to push Zeref to embrace and control his Curse and bring him back to the world...he succeeded.

Guild Master

    Hades / Precht Gaebolg
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hades_6.png
Click here to see Hades/Precht as a young man

The Guild Master of Grimoire Heart and former second Guild Master of Fairy Tail.

  • Adaptational Backstory Change: In canon, he fell to the dark side because he came to believe that Magic was born out of darkness. Here, Precht confronted Mundus on Mallet Island, hoping to dispose of him in the name of his friend Sparda, but he got completely destroyed that it wasn't even considered a fight, but a one-sided slaughter. Mundus revealed to Precht that he's The One Magic itself he had been looking for, and offers him to join him by giving him demonic power, giving him Devil's Eye on his right eye, as well as a vast knowledge of demonic arts and the darkest aspects of magic. Now known as Hades by Mundus, the Demon Emperor ordered his servant to assemble his army, find Zeref to reawaken him.
  • Alas, Poor Villain: In the end, he is just a pawn of Mundus to reawaken Zeref. After he is corrupted by him both Makarov and Warrod can't help but feel pity for him.
  • An Arm and a Leg: In the final battle against Hades, he had his arms cut off by Dante in his Devil Trigger just as he was about to cast Grimoire Law to dispose of his foes.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: By Mundus from Precht to Hades.
  • Evil Former Friend: Towards Fairy Tail Guild, most notably Sparda and Makarov.
  • Mr. Exposition: He is the one who told Makarov and Dante that Sparda is a founding member of Fairy Tail and was almost it's first Guild Master.
  • Eye Scream: His Devil Eye got shot by Dante's Ivory as the bullet even went through the back of his head as well, much to his agony.
  • Foil: To Arkham, with Ultear even noting how Arkham is similar to Hades. Both are dark wizards with demonic powers that they can use to power up themselves and their underlines. However, Arkham prefers being the Chessmaster to get things done and doesn't have the strength, power, or skill to fight Fairy Tail head-on. Hades, however, has the strength, power, and skill to fight Fairy Tail without using his full power.
    • It also worth noting that, unlike Arkham, Hades can easily control demonic powers without losing his mind using his Devil Heart.
    • Plus Arkham is an example of Bald of Evil with a shaved face while Hades has long hair with an equally long beard that is a Beard of Evil.
    • Also, unlike Arkham who only knows Sparda from history, Hades knew Sparda personally.
  • Light/Darkness Juxtaposition: Hades against Makarov with both aura's being dark purple and bright yellow respectively in the fight.
  • Possessing a Dead Body: Right after Zeref kills Hades just as canon, Mundus possesses his dead body with black aura and the corpse's remaining eye glowing red.
  • Strong and Skilled: He possesess an immense magic and demonic power, and is skilled enough to use it well enough to defeat Makarov and battle Fairy Tail members and only lost because of outside interventions.
  • We Can Rule Together: He wants Dante join his guild...Dante refuses.
  • The Worf Effect: He single-handedly defeated Makarov in a fight. When the rest of the guild hears about it they are shocked that Grimoire Heart's Guild Master defeated a Wizard Saint, with Dante even saying that Grimoire Heart is a top dark guild for a reason.

    Zancrow
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zancrow.png

A psychotic Flame God Slayer whose magic produces divine black flames that incinerate everything they touch.

  • Adaptational Villainy: He is already bad to the bone, but here he's fully willing to rape both Lisanna and Wendy (an underage girl) and is about to make Natsu watch it all.
  • Asshole Victim: He ends up being killed by Zeref. Nobody cares much since he was a nasty piece of work, and attempted to rape Lisanna and Wendy.
  • Attempted Rape: To Lisanna and Wendy.
  • Ax-Crazy: The most unstable member of Grimoire Heart bar none, save when Job goes off the handle with his Devil Slayer Magic. Retribution reveals God Slayer Magic, if not properly managed, results in the user's sanity taking a nosedive straight into A God Am I territory as expected of a magic originating from Mundus himself.
  • Logical Weakness: Zigzagged! his God Slayer Magic against Wendy's Sky Dragon Slayer, no matter how divine his flames are, wind and air can always blow it away somewhat Elemental Rock-Paper-Scissors, but it was noted that Zancrow held back at that time.
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: He almost did this to both Lisanna and Wendy.

    Rustyrose
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rustyrose.png

A poetic and arrogant wizard with the ability to give physical form to anything from his imagination using his Arc of Embodiment.

  • Evil Is Hammy: Just as canon, but here next to Job he's very fanatic for his God, Mundus.

    Kain Hikaru
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kain.png

A childish and obese sumo wrestler who is wields a voodoo-like cursing magic that lets him control others' bodies with his doll, Mr. Cursey.

    Job
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/job_the_holy_devil_slayer.jpg

A Holy Devil Slayer that acts as a priest who believes he and his guild's mission is a holy crusade for their god Mundus.

  • The Ace: He is among the strongest members of Eight Kin of Purgatory and is proven true when he fought Dante and Lady in their first fight...and won.
  • Ax-Crazy: Once he gives in to his Devil Slayer Magic's darker influence, he becomes a ranting lunatic to rival Zancrow.
  • Bad Boss: He killed the surviving members of Grimoire Heart's soldiers by completely vaporizing their bodies with his light powers, including those who were already killed by Dante and Lady.
  • Badass Preacher: He acts and talks like a priest and gives Dante, of all people, trouble. As in a Curb-Stomp Battle in his favor. Job almost kills Dante in their fight if it wasn't for Lady in the first round and once again in their second fight he almost finishes him if weren't for Lady and Trish getting an upgrade.
  • Badass Long Robe: He's wearing a uniform identical to a priest with a hooded robe and is among the strongest of the Eight Kin of Purgatory.
  • Clothing Damage: In his first defeat, most of his robe is gone and showed the corruption of his Devil Slayer magic.
  • Demon Slaying: His Devil Slayer magic makes him specially good at this.
  • Elemental Speed: He's able to move at inhuman speed, with Dante considering that light is the fastest element there is.
  • Evil Is Hammy: He preaches about Mundus so much that even Dante says that he talks more than he does (which he hates). He's initially a Cold Ham, but once he cuts loose he almost never stops shouting.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: He ultimately dies cut in half by Modeus' sword.
  • Hidden Disdain Reveal: After giving in to his Devil Slayer Magic's corruptive influence, Job refers to Kain as a "fat idiot" after his fellow Kin gets sent flying by the wounded female Fairy Tail members during the final battle.
  • Irony: He constantly declares his guilds intent to free Mundus to let his darkness consume the world, despite Job himself using Holy Devil Slayer Magic that utilizes light-based powers.
  • Knight of Cerebus: When he appears, fun doesn't immediately follow (unless someone is with him). Lady finds him even worse than Vergil. Dante at least could give Vergil some cuts but against Job, he couldn't do much against someone like him.
  • Kryptonite Factor: His Devil Slayer Magic is toxic towards demons and half-demons that even puts both Dante and Modeus in a dangerous fight.
  • Light 'em Up: He is a Holy Devil Slayer. Just as Dragon Slayers eat their element, he eats light and uses it for all kinds of offense and defense.
  • Light Is Not Good: Job is a Holy Devil Slayer whose element is light using lasers and cross motifs in his attack. He is also a member of Grimoire Heart and refers to their plan to merge the human and demon worlds as a holy mission.
    • Natsu admits that his magic is serious stuff, making Jellal's own magic look puny by comparison.
  • Magic Knight: His Holy Devil Slayer Magic allows him to create light-based weapon constructions like swords, shields, bow and arrow, which he wields with impressive skill.
  • Master Swordsman: He has immense mastery of his Holy Devil Sacred Blade and puts even Dante into a defensive position.
  • Meaningful Name: He is named after Book of Job, having faith in the holy mission for his god Mundus to go with his priest persona.
  • Not So Stoic: After his first defeat from Fairy Tail, he decides to drop the discipline priest part and decides to go all out on Fairy Tail, with Lady even admitting that he's become an all-out serial killer now.
  • Original Character: He is created by the author to give someone like Dante and Modeus trouble and expansion the Devil Slayer Magic as well.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: After his Devil Slayer Magic corrupts him, his right eye becomes blood red.
  • The Stoic: Mostly he is just stoic without cracking a smile, but this justified as his priest part is because of sheer discipline to control his Devil Slayer Magic so that it cannot corrupt him. Once he decides to give in to said corruption, the stoic nature is completely gone.
  • Villain Teleportation: He disappears and reappears multiple times, luckily for Natsu he got experience with fancy fast wizards he fought in the past (Jellal).
  • Villainous Breakdown: Pardon the pun but HO.LY CRAP. When Job breaks after his fight with Trish and Lady, he breaks hard, reducing the stoic priest to a mouth-frothing lunatic.

    Azuma
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/azuma.png

A battle-hungry wizard whose main concern is to defeat an opponent worth fighting. His Arc of Tree gives him mastery over trees, which also allows him to harness magic energy hidden deep within the earth to use as he pleases.

  • Adaptational Badass: He is already the most Badass of the Kin of Purgatory in canon, here he is even more so with the author finding him the strongest of the Kin with him holding his own against not only Mira, but Modeus (in Super Mode), even winning despite losing an arm and later just as canon fought Erza but also Dante, even gaining his version of a Super Mode called "Eden Form" (described as an equivalent version of Dragon Slayer Magic's Dragon Force) that even overwhelmed Erza and Dante before the former requips Armadura Fairy and the latter using Devil Trigger.
  • Good Prosthetic, Evil Prosthetic: He lost his right arm to Modeus, but makes a new one from his magic made out of roots and stones that look like obsidian.
  • Super Mode: He gains his own called "Eden Form" after he eats and absorbs a golden apple, which is according to him, it is an ultimate technique of Arc of Tree called the tree of life, which siphons all the Magic Power of the land (in this case Tenrou Island itself), even at the cost of his own life because his body cannot handle the enormous amount of Magic Power.

Other Members

    Bluenote Stinger
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bluenote.png

The sub-commander of Grimoire Heart, surpassing all of Hades' subordinates with his Gravity Magic, which crushes everything in his wake. However, he cares little for Grimoire Heart's goals and prefers to act in his own manner.

  • The Dreaded: He is feared just as in canon, with even demons fearing him.
  • The Force Is Strong with This One: Trish nervously feels his power is greater than the Eight Kin and that even demons don't give this kind of pressure.
  • Mr. Exposition: It was he who told Fairy Tail about the Three Demon Kings first.
  • Not in This for Your Revolution: While he's a member of Grimoire Heart and does respect the power of Mundus, he's not a believer and instead uses the guild in his quest for personal power. In addition to intending to acquire Fairy Glitter for himself, he attempts to take the Devil Sword Sparda from Trish.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: He claims that by obtaining both the light (Fairy Glitter) and darkness (Devil Sword Sparda) on Tenrou Island, he'll achieve even greater power. Luckily, Gildarts shows up before he can kill Cana and Trish for them.

    Yomazu and Kawazu
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bird_and_goat_grimore_heart_avi.jpg
Top: Kawazu. Bottom: Yomazu.

Two scouts of Grimoire Heart.

  • Adaptational Badass: Yomazu's katana in canon was just a well-made sword he combined with his magic, but here it's been infused with demonic power to improve its sharpness even further. Unfortunately for him, that just makes it more potent when Gajeel eats it in order to power up his Karma Demon: Iron God Sword.
  • Death by Adaptation: In the manga they vanished after their fight with Gajeel and Levy, while in the anime they get another fight with the wounded Fairy Tail members before being beaten again, but they presumably escaped the island afterwards. Here, Job forcibly powers them up for that second fight and they end up getting killed by the end of it.
  • One-Winged Angel: Thanks to Job he gives them his demonic powers combined with his Holy powers Light 'em Up making them even more powerful and dangerous than ever. Unfortunately, it also destroyed their sanity and turned them into rampaging monsters that need to be put down.

    Baskerville
A giant demon dog that guards the Grimoire Heart Guild's ship.
  • Angry Guard Dog: He acts as one for Grimoire Heart, having almost eaten Happy, Carla, and Lily. Happy even calls him a demon guard dog.
  • Dark Is Evil: He's got black fur and is a pretty dangerous dog that belongs in the strongest dark guild.
  • Hellhound: Considering that Hades and his guild are followers of Mundus, they probably gave them a demon hound to protect their guildhall.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He has red glowing eyes.

Neo Oración Seis

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/oracion_seis_banner.png

A Dark Guild that is one of the Baram Alliance. After the seven years of timeskip, they acquired new members, thus re-naming the guild: Neo Oración Seis. They are currently allied with the Order of the Sword for their same goal.

    In General
  • Adaptational Badass: Neo Oración Seis from the canon arc was already much stronger than the original incarnation of the Seis, but here they're even stronger than that. Midnight, Racer, and Erigor all have demonic transformations from the Ascension Ceremony, Cobra possesses Dragon Force, Klodoa's fusion with Gilver is far more intimidating and dangerous than Jackpot was, and Gloria is a far greater physical threat than Angel. The only one without an obvious power-up is Imitatia, and even she has a new magic that lets her mentally influence people.
  • Mythical Motifs: Were referred to as the Six Demons in the past, but now have the theme of fallen angels to go with their new Super Mode from the Ascension ceremony, which is even dubbed 'Caduto' (which means fallen).

Guild Master

    Midnight / Brain II
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/midnight_avi_3.jpg

The Guild Master of Neo Oración Seis, and dubbing himself Brain II.

  • Achilles' Heel: His Reflector Magic is unable to twist and distort any living being, which also includes Devil Arms, since they are manifestation of a defeated demon's soul, or imbued with a living demonic power.
  • Arc Villain: Shares this role with Sanctus for the Order of the Sword Arc.
  • Attack Reflector: Retains this as his magic from before the timeskip, letting him deflect any magic he touches.
  • Badass Long Robe: As Zero Caduto he has a dark blue robe with sickly green lines along the edges and swirling patterns at the base.
  • Bling of War: His Zero Caduto form has turquoise gems in the shoulderpads and the belt.
  • Casting a Shadow: After the seven year timeskip, Midnight can now use Darkness Magic in conjunctions with his Reflection Magic, making both Magics very effective.
  • The Chessmaster: Alongside Sanctus, he and Midnight manage to have Fairy Tail and the Order of the Sword fight each other and use them to gather the Infinity Clock parts, all to bypass the fact that Infinity Clock parts cannot be touched by individuals with malevolent intentions.
  • Emerald Power: His shadow magic has green coloration, and he is the most powerful among the Neo Oración Seis. Also applies in his Zero Caduto form, easily curb-stomping some of the Order of the Sword's strongest fighters with it.
  • Green and Mean: Is part of the Big Bad Duumvirate and his Darkness Magic is green in coloration. His skin also turns green as Zero Caduto.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: He is this next to fellow Arc Villain Sanctus. Midnight got an Freudian Excuse with and Dark and Troubled Past and grown up with the belief Power at a Price. Sanctus ultimately used him as an pawn just as any other.
  • Mythical Motifs: Fallen Angels like rest of Neo Oracion Seis. His Zero Caduto form even has black feathered angel wings.
  • Power Gives You Wings: Gains a pair of dark, feathered wings as Zero Caduto.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: In the Chapter 23: The True Saviors, Dante says he is no so-called great destroyer, but just a scared and whiny little boy who is too busy being angry at the world..
  • Red/Green Contrast: His Zero Caduto against Dante's Dreadnaught form and later an evolved Devil Trigger, with Midnight's Sickly Green Glow against his Red Is Heroic in their battle.
  • Super Mode: In Chapter 17: 'The Black Wings of the Caduto', upon becoming a Caduto-type demon through Ascension Ceremony, he can transform into a Fallen Angel form which he dubs "Zero Caduto", making himself stronger than ever before.
  • Took a Level in Badass: In the Oración Seis arc, he was single-handedly defeated by Erza, but after seven years of timeskip, he managed to overpower and defeat her, Wendy, Lady, Cana and Millianna by himself. In chapter 17: 'The Black Wings of the Caduto', it is revealed that he has undergone Ascension Ceremony, and became a Caduto-type demon, a Fallen Angel version of Angelo, and proves capable of delivering a Curb-Stomp Battle to Nero, Credo, Mary, Coco and Kyrie all at once.
  • Victory by Endurance: During his final fight with Dante, upon facing off with Dreadnaught Devil Trigger, Midnight upon realizing he can't hope to punch through its defenses even with Zero Caduto decides to leverage his superior maneuverability and proceeds to keep striking away at a distance, intent on outlasting the form's energy cost. It actually works, and he proceeds to toss the exhausted Dante into Genesis Zero. Were it not for Michelle's interference and Dante unlocking another evolution to his Devil Trigger, it would have ended in Midnight's victory.
  • Villain Respect: Has this towards Dante, admitting that if he were present in the battle with the original Oracion Seis seven years ago, he could have wiped out half their members on his own, including him and Brain. Right before their final fight, he promises to give him a suitably epic death, showing shades of Worthy Opponent.

Membership

    Cobra / Erik
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cobra_avi_3.jpg

The 2nd Generation Poison Dragon Slayer that can hear people's thoughts.

  • Adaptational Badass: While he didn't undergo the Ascension Ceremony like Midnight, Racer, and Erigor to obtain a "Caduto" form, he reveals he does possess Dragon Force, something he didn't possess in canon.
  • Animal Motifs: Snakes. He's a Poison Dragon Slayer, his codename is Cobra and he used to have a snake as pet. His Dragon Force gives him a more serpent-like appearance than the other Dragon Slayers, like snake-like scales, and his only good eye becoming a snake-like slit.
  • Badass Cape: He trades out his Badass Longcoat for one.
  • Berserk Button: When Modeus revealed that while he'll regret killing his brother Baul for the rest of his life, he has made peace with it, which made Cobra extremely enraged about it, and with the Moon Demon and Erza constantly convincing him to conquer his grief and anger, or he'll become a hallow shell inside. In Chapter 22: Between Heaven and Hell, with the last straw being about Cobra not undergoing Ascension Ceremony out of fear that Cubellios might no longer recognize him, it makes him enraged enough to use Dragon Force in order to destroy Modeus and Erza for good.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: For all of his villainy, he still treasures his lost friend Cubellios to the point he refused to undergo the Ascension Ceremony unlike many of his fellows because he feared she wouldn't recognize him if he threw aside his humanity, something Agnus found insulting. When he realizes Kinana is Cubellios, he deliberately pretends not to know her so she won't be arrested with him.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Has a scar over his right eye after the timeskip.
  • Mythical Motifs: Dragons. Poison Dragons.
  • Pointy Ears: For a human, he has those. Likely due to his sharp hearing.
  • Red Is Violent: His Poison Dragon Slayer Magic spells got dark red color, and he's more dangerous when he's pissed. In his Dragon Force, he has dark red scales too.
  • Scary Teeth: While in Dragon Force form, his fangs are growing from his mouth.
  • Spikes of Villainy: While in Dragon Force form, it has red spikes emerge from Cobra's forearms that led to his shoulders.
  • Super Mode: In Chapter 22: Between Heaven and Hell, Cobra uses Dragon Force against Modeus and Erza, angrily (and falsely) proclaiming he didn't undergo Ascension because the power of dragons is all he needed.
  • Super-Senses: Cobra's hearing is good, he's able to sense people's emotions through their voices, the sound of their muscles expanding and contracting, and even their very thoughts with his Magic.

    Racer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/racer_avi_3.jpg

A time-type Dark Wizard that uses Slow Magic in combat. In X791, he has improved his physical speed to be genuinely fast.

  • Adaptational Badass: In Chapter 17: 'The Black Wings of the Caduto', it is revealed that he has undergone Ascension Ceremony, and became Caduto-type demon, an Fallen Angel version of Angelo forms. He became so powerful that unlike in canon, Mira in her Satan Soul: Halphas form needed help from the Thunder Legion to even the odds.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: While he may be part of a group of psychopaths planning to set off an apocalypse, he is regretful at having to kill Katja, a child, and makes sure to do so painlessly.
  • Foil: to Erigor; Both target young girls, however while Racer succeeded in his task, but made sure it was painless death, Erigor just wanted petty revenge, wishing to make Wendy suffer painfully as possible to make Natsu pay.
  • Gold-Colored Superiority: His Hermes Caduto form turns his hair and eyebrows into golden lines and a crown, and gives him a massive boost to his already incredible speed.
  • Mythical Motifs: His Hermes Caduto references ancient Greek God Hermes with its appearance, having wings on his boots, a toga sash, and crown.
  • Mercury's Wings: His Hermes Caduto form has small wings at the back of his boots, signifying his increased speed. Hell, his entire outfit is a reference to Greek myths, consisting of a toga, a sash and a laurel on his head.
  • Pet the Dog: When killing Katja, he makes sure to sever some nerves so her last moments would be painless.
  • Power Gives You Wings: His Hermes Caduto form has six blades jutting from his back similar to airplane wings.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: He wears a red and black jumpsuit, and behaves like a wild animal. Even carries over to his Hermes Caduto form, with red still being dominant in his color scheme.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: His Hermes Caduto form shifts his eyes into a single, glowing red visor.
  • Super Mode: In Chapter 17: 'The Black Wings of the Caduto', upon becoming a Caduto-type demon through Ascension Ceremony, he can transform into a Fallen Angel form which he dubs "Hermes Caduto", making himself stronger and much faster than ever before.
  • Super-Speed: After seven years of timeskip, he's uses his physical speed to overpower Gray, Juvia, Lyon, Sho and Wally. With Lyon noting that Racer isn't using his Magic, but just moves physically fast. When Samuel starts to anticipate his movements, he states that was just at 'first gear', before shifting into Hermes Caduto, which blows his previous speed out of the water, injuring everybody before they even realized he moved. Also displays the ability to use Razor-Sharp Hand via vibrating his hand to slice Katja's blood vessels and nervous system, killing her painlessly.

    Erigor
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/grimreaper-ftanime_7483.jpg

The Grim Reaper that uses Wind Magic, and one of the new members of Neo Oración Seis.

    Gilver
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gilver_dmc1novel.jpg

The demon that fought Dante in the past and was supposedly killed by him. He's one of new members of Neo Oración Seis that uses katana with multiple elemental lacrima in combat.

  • Back from the Dead: Killed by Dante in the past, but he's very much alive now, and he's new member of Neo Oración Seis. It's revealed he was revived by combining his remains with Klodoa's in the Ascension Ceremony.
  • Came Back Strong: Many years since his defeat and death by the hands of Dante, now he's strong enough to overpower a weakened Dante, Nero and Coco. He calls himself "Anti-Dante" duo to being specifically made to counter Dante's every move and style. He means "made" very literally; the Ascension Ceremony was used on his remains to revive and empower him.
  • Expy: Being a bandaged being with a strong penchant for katana swordsmanship with fire abilities plus a grudge against Dante slightly evoke Makoto Shishio.
  • Fusion Dance: This Gilver is actually a fusion of the demon of the same name and the sentient Magic Staff Klodoa, made possible by combining their remains via the Ascension Ceremony. Gilver takes charge most of the time, but after Dante kills him again and destroys his body Klodoa reemerges from his corpse as the dominant personality again.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Uses his katana as his main style of combat. And he can change his sword powers with multiple lacrimas that include.
  • Kick the Dog: Basically all his taunts to Dante during their fights are about Nell Goldstein, how he killed her, and how Dante was utterly helpless to save her.

    Gloria
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dmc_gloria.png

An artificial demon who is known as "White Tempest", created by Agnus, and the altered clone of Trish. As well one of the new members of Neo Oración Seis.

  • Always Someone Better: Trish considers Gloria's lightning to be way more powerful than hers, and it's about strong as Laxus's. Although she later gets overpowered and killed by Trish in her Devil Trigger form.
  • Decomposite Character: In canon, she's Trish in disguise, but here she's an artificial demon and Trish's altered clone.
  • Foil: She is somewhat to Nelo Angelo, since both of them are Evil Knockoff created to fight Fairy Tail.
  • I Am What I Am: She views herself as superior to Trish not just for her power, but because she's loyal to the mission she was made for while Trish abandoned hers, and she enjoys what she does. Trish fires back that just makes her a slave without a soul.
  • Light Is Not Good: She uses white lightning and is a member of Neo Oracion Seis.
  • Red Baron: White Tempest.
  • Speed Blitz: She's so fast that she defeats Elfman instantaneously as he was even unable to react of her attacks, and even Mira and Freed were unable to react to her speed.
  • Superior Successor: She views herself as this to Trish, being a Modified Clone. In fairness to her, she is stronger than Trish (at least without factoring in the Devil Sword Sparda). She lacks a Devil Trigger, however, and can't hold up against the transformed Trish in the end.
  • This Cannot Be! Her fight against Devil Trigger Trish.

    Michelle Lobster / Imitatia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/imitatia_6.png
Click here to see her Michelle disguise

A secret member of the Neo Oracion Seis, known as the Mistress of Deception.

  • Easily Forgiven: Dante and Lucy forgive her for everything she did as a part of the Neo Oracion Seis, realizing and understanding that she was just a pawn for Sanctus in the end.
  • Flower Motifs: When she revealed herself to be a member of Neo Oracion Seis, her outfit resembles that of the petals and her right eye covered by a rose eye patch, with Nero calling her flower bitch. This is likely based on Lucy making her dresses out of flowers and paper when she was a child .
  • Foil: Towards Trish. Both are created to be used against Dante and both are Master Swordsman, but in the end they come to regret it and save their lives, but the difference is that Trish survived, while Michelle did not.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: In the Chapter 23: The True Saviors, when she learned that she unknowingly killed Jude, Dante has been sent to Genesis Zero's void, and that Sanctus has lied to fulfill the promise to her, she has come to regret everything she have done as she has betrayed her whole family under the false promise, she tried to free Lucy and Kyrie, pleading both Lucy and Dante to forgive her.
  • Recurring Element: Assuming that one follows Iron117Prime's fanfics by publication order, she's a shapeshifter who turns out to provide a key detail or role in the plot. In this case, it's sending the guild on their quest to obtain the Infinity Clock pieces and killing Lucy's father.
  • You Killed My Father: Zigzagged! She unintentionally killed Jude Heartfilla in order to get the clock piece to make Fairy Tail thinking that are his last wish to collect them all.

Raven Tail

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/raven_tail_banner_2.png

A dark guild formed by Makarov's son Ivan specifically to rival Fairy Tail, and works independently from the Balam Alliance. After the Time Skip, they emerge as an official guild to participate in the Grand Magic Games.

Guildmaster

    Ivan Dreyar
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ivan_dreyar.png

The guildmaster of Raven Tail, and the son and father of Makarov and Laxus, respectively.

  • Adaptation Expansion: The reason for his expulsion from the Fairy Tail guild was never revealed in canon. Here, it's revealed that when a new guild called Gorilla Boss came to Magnolia and crime rates started to rise, Ivan advocated that they were behind it and wanted to go undercover and find the dirt to get them disbanded. Makarov advised caution since he didn't want to risk any guild members. Ivan decided to go ahead with his plan and convinced several Fairy Tail members to join him, and eventually he convinced his companions to sneak into the guild master's room to find their evidence. However, they were found out and Gorilla Boss killed them all, but Ivan managed to record this event on a lacrima and gave it to the Rune Knights to go through with the arrest. Afterwards, Makarov learned Ivan intended for this result, and furthermore chose among the weakest Fairy Tail members for the mission with no regrets and believed he did the guild a favor.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: Was a petty Big Bad Wannabe in canon whose actions mainly consisted of screwing over Fairy Tail whenever he could and having a vague plan to obtain Lumen Histoire that was derailed when he arrogantly decided to confront Laxus in the middle of the Grand Magic Games. Here, he's established as a ruthlessly competent Chessmaster who makes sure to keep his actions just within the rules or as untraceable as possible to get away with them, and in his expanded backstory, successfully manipulated several parties to achieve multiple objectives. His confrontation with Laxus is also more well thought out, having several illusions to cover up his actions, makes use of positive and negative incentives to convince his son to help him out, and a solid team to overpower him should he refuse. It's mainly Gajeel and Sapphires statuses as The Mole, not to mention the latter immediately taking out Obra and joining Laxus that derails his attempt.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Ivan was no saint in the source material, but whereas there the only time it's known he beat Flare was for needing to be bailed out of her match with Lucy and being far too smug about it, here it's indicated he would often beat her for failures to the point Flare gets triggered from Lucy's beatdown on her. Sure enough, Origins has him beating up Flare for her poor performance against Lucy when she's tied up and unable to use magic thanks to Obra.
  • Didn't See That Coming: Sapphire being a spy for Mermaid Heel completely catches him completely off guard and plays a large role in him getting arrested.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Arguably his Fatal Flaw, in that while he's a competent Chessmaster, he can't seem to wrap his head around the idea that people actually like Fairy Tail the way it is, including former enemies like Gajeel. As such, he is blindsided when the latter is revealed to be a Double Agent, since he doesn't understand why he wouldn't hold a grudge for how they 'humiliated' them in the guild war with Phantom Lord, or why he'd genuinely warm up to them.
  • Faux Affably Evil: Ivan can muster up a friendly facade, but his smugness is evident and it doesn't take much to rile him up.
  • Never My Fault: He'll rant that he was making Fairy Tail strong and that Makarov is a softie, but his idea of "helping" Fairy Tail involved setting up weak members of his guild on a Suicide Mission and not even being regretful about it.

Membership

    Flare Corona
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_flare_anime.png

A woman who can change the length and shape of her hair with her magic, Hair Shower.

  • Adaptational Wimp: Downplayed, in that Flare is just as strong as she was canonically; unfortunately for her, Lucy has taken far more badass levels than she originally had at the time of their fight and she gets dominated bar a few moments she catches Lucy off-guard. Even her hostage gambit with Asuka doesn't go anywhere because Modeus senses and deals with her hair faster than Natsu discovered it, so she didn't even get a chance to unfairly beat down on Lucy before she gets her face pounded in.
  • Ain't Too Proud to Beg: When Lucy gives her a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown both for what she tried to do to Asuka and for Raven Tail's various petty acts against Fairy Tail, Flare has a breakdown because the beating reminds her of what Ivan would do to her for failing his expectations and starts begging for mercy. Lucy, disturbed by how suddenly and pathetically Flare's demeanor changes, tells her to surrender, and Flare is fully ready to do so before Obra drains Lucy's magic.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: As Sapphire was the only member of the guild who was legitimately nice to her, she's heartbroken to realize Sapphire was The Mole for Mermaid Heel. Sapphire, feeling bad about this, convinces Flare to just take a dive so that they can put an end to Ivan and his abuse.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Compared to her Unsportsmanlike Gloating in canon when Lucy gets her magic drained by Obra to give her the "win", here Flare doesn't feel any sort of relief because the No-Holds-Barred Beatdown she received beforehand makes her acutely aware Ivan won't be pleased with her pathetic performance and she can expect more pain once they're out of sight of the public.

    Kurohebi
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_kurohebi_anime.png

A snake-like man whose magic, Mimic, allows him to copy the magic of others.

  • Adaptational Badass: Canonically, the only magic he copied he actually used was Max's Sand Magic, and he got wiped by Laxus in one blow without even managing to launch an attack. Here, he shows off he actually copied nearly all the non-Tenrou Island Fairy Tail members and manages to launch a powerful magical assault on Laxus. Not that it saves him from a beatdown anyways.
  • Power Copying: His Mimic Magic lets him duplicate the magics of others, and increasing his own magical power even lets him exceed the level of the original users.
  • Squishy Wizard: While he used his Mimic Magic to duplicate the magic of all the non Tenrou Island Fairy Tail members, he has nowhere near the level of physical conditioning as their more powerful members and goes down in only two hits from Laxus.
  • Villain Respect: Is the only member of Raven Tail to compliment Gajeel on deceiving them for so long.

    Nullpudding
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_nullpudding_anime.png

A hunchbacked wizard who can cover his body with spikes.

    Obra
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ft_obra_anime.png

A bizarre-looking wizard that can completely empty other wizards' magical energy. He is accompanied by a little imp, who is the real Obra and he's actually the demon.

  • The Dog Was the Mastermind: The Obra known in the Grand Magic Games is just a puppet animated by his pet imp, the real Obra.
  • The Dreaded: Sapphire is extremely scared when he escapes being arrested, declaring that Obra is more terrifying that can be imagined. Considering that Obra was chosen by Ivan to counter Dante of all people, it seems to be a justified fear.
  • Energy Absorption: According to Ivan, he can absorb both magical and demonic energy to further empower himself, which is what makes him so dangerous.
  • Super-Toughness: Despite his very small and harmless-like figure as the little imp, Obra is surprisingly very durable as he endured attacks from both Sapphire and Laxus, two extremely powerful Dragon Slayers, and showed no visible injuries.
