I think this trope is meant to be how fiction characters get bound for a long time without suffering any lasting injuries. Basically it's a restraint version of Tap on the Head.
But even if that's actually tropeworthy, it's not reflected in the trope name or description.
I vote cut. Yard if necessary, but won't be clamoring for that trope either.

I think this is a distinctive trope. Yes, it's night omnipresent, but it is a trope.
the statement above is falsewhat's tropeworthy about it?
I think it's not a trope, it's just attention to details that hands would be a bit sore if restrained for awhile.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI could see this being tropeworthy if it's e.g. used to signal that the character is happy to finally be free, but if that's what it's going for, it needs to be mentioned somewhere.
Cut. Some things happen in fiction a lot and would probably be considered a trope elsewhere where they don't have the same trope standards like us, but just bc it happens a lot doesn't mean it's meaningful.
cut.
I can see that this is an old trope launched around 2008, back when there's a trope for "literally everything that happens"...
Uncuff this trope and cut it
Yeah, this is absolutely a thing but whether or not it's actually a trope is... eh. If it does communicate anything, the examples don't show it.
Now, maybe a page for pain or damaged caused by chains and cuffs and the like might be valuable since it shows the result of a character being kept in captivity, and some examples can be mined from this trope, but it would require TLP.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI agree. This isn't salvageable in its current state due to how many Chairs-y "character does this" examples there are, so any tropeworthy concept would have to start from scratch.

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Yeah, cut it. It's just an automatic gesture to rub circulation back into the hands.
I'm not seeing a trope. Book it, Danno.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Soooo... what's going to happen to the three uploaded videos illustrating the trope?
They get cut? Or moved to another trope if possible?
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessLet's go ahead and cut.

Cuffs Off Rub Wrists is "a character put in handcuffs rubs their wrists when the cuffs are off". A scene that does not provide any meaningful information. A scene that has no narrative significance whatsoever. The wick check reveals that more than 60% examples (33/50) boil down to "this scene exists". Only one way out, and that is to cut it.
Wick check:
Cuffs Off Rub Wrists is "a character put in handcuffs rubs their wrists when the cuffs are off". A scene that does not provide any meaningful information. A scene that has no narrative significance whatsoever. The following wick check proves this.50/50
Final verdict: Cut.
