It turns out Cell is back and even stronger than ever, now as Super Perfect Cell. An interesting example in that even he himself thought he was a goner.
FairyTail.Tropes Q To S: Juvia is shown fighting alongside Gray (and others) before the conclusion of her battle with him during the Phantom Lord arc. This may not matter as much as other examples, since said fight makes it obvious she's vulnerable to a Heel–Face Turn.
InNameOnly.Video Games: Quake III: Arena and its Expansion Pack, Quake III: Team Arena, fit this trope as well. Despite having similar weapons and some of the first two Quake's characters (and the Doomguy), the most story connection you get is an All There in the Manual quip that the greatest warriors in the world have been teleported to an "Arena" to do battle for the amusement of a Sufficiently Advanced Alien. Likewise, while the first two placed a large amount of focus on their single-player campaigns, Quake 3 went all-out multiplayer. All of this is by-and-large because it was made as a competitor for Unreal Tournament.
Characters.Sliders: Her joining the team late Season 3 wasn't exactly warmly embraced, especially by Wade. Rembrandt points this attitude out in "The Other Slide of Darkness".

Headscratchers.Epic Meal Time: Not to mention the fact that he's definitely gotten a bit chubby overtime. His father noted it when he was in an episode and it's been lampshaded several times.The presence of a personal trainer in the group is probably why none of them have gotten noticably fatter from their culinary misadventures. Except maybe Cousin Dave. Muscles Glasses' departures that stretch months at a time are most likely due to the fact that he absolutely has to stay on top of his weight because of his job as a trainer. This was in fact noted when in a few episodes where they note that they would normally shred cheese using his abs, but he was at the gym.
Characters.Triangle Strategy Grand Duchy Of Aesfrost: If you choose to go to Aesfrost in Chapter III, Svarog warmly welcomes Avlora and even Erika back from their trip from Glenbrook before greeting Serenoa's party, but noticeably pauses a bit when referring to Thalas, indicating some disdain towards his nephew—most likely due to Thalas's particularly unapologetic hostility towards Svarog's son Dragan.

Characters.Bojack Horseman Hollywoo TV Movie Crews: Not as isolated as Goober and sadly not as wacky and more out of the game than the rest of the cast, Bradley is often the one left in the corner while the rest argue, talk or discuss inside Hollywoo(d) knowledge and/or rumors. It doesn't help that compared to them, he's been long out of the business, his character of Ethan was never as popular as The Horse, Sabrina or even Olivia (partly because of an awful catchphrase he often had to utter to the annoyance of the rest and his character being perceived as an uninteresting egghead) and because of his unassuming appearance (he looks more like a slightly chubby family man than the nerd he used to be). Tellingly, it takes for Sarah Lynn to come down to realize he's been following them and the rest often forget he's there (except BoJack who speaks to him to find out who was his mother and to see if they can get his pitch off the ground).
VideoGame.Legacy Of The Dragonborn: Decapitation Presentation: Averted by the "Trophy Heads" addon for the mod - you'd think a mod with that name would involve this, but instead, you're collecting heads that were already decapitated and preservednote not all races are represented - Bretons, Imperials, Falmer, Dwemer, and non-Thalmor Altmer don't have heads. Somewhat played straight in the base game with the Dark Brotherhood questline, since the 15 targets Nazir gives the player (and Victoria Vici) all have skulls the player can collect and displaynote you're not required to decapitate them; you only have to kill them and loot it off their body, although there is a mod that will remove their head if you take it from their inventory.

When said Tarnished comes back with a Great Rune and makes it clear that, no, they are not here to brood but to become Elden Lord, Gideon quickly becomes a close ally, if a shady and morally-ambiguous one. By the end of the game he even laments the fact that they have to fight and part of his despair is that he cannot see anyone defeating Marika and the Elden Beast, not even you.

This allowed players who owned him to curb-stomp not only his event but also the previously difficult STR Broly's Dokkan Event. Subsequent events made all bosses have multiple phases to deter any further nuking tactics. Years later, when they released another event with a single phase, they banned any and all nuking leaders (and Devilman) from being used in said event.
