1. Anime.Myself Yourself: When Shusuke is asked about his dream girl, he takes a long look at his sister... and describes the exact opposite. More generally shown in a game where Shusuke recognizes the existence of his feelings for his sister when Sana chooses Shuri route, but if playing the game as Shūsuke, there is no Shuri route. Ultimately, the anime ends on the open scene, where the twins are holding each other's hands.
2. Characters.Skins Generation One: Daddy's Girl: With a heavy dose of Incest Subtext, with taking naked baths together and kissing each other in the mouth.
3. Film.A Simple Favor: A very strange example where there is incestuous subtext to actual, textual incest. Stephanie's "deep, dark secret" is that she had sex with her half-brother after she met him for the first time at her father's funeral (and may or may not have had an ongoing sexual relationship with him). Said brother is said to be the spitting image of her father when he was younger, and the only reason they got close in the first place was because Stephanie was vulnerable after losing "the only person that understood [her]" and felt like her half-brother "[saw] her" in the same way her father did.
4. Exalted.Tropes I To P: The Maiden of Serenity's natural scent is a perfume that acts as both an aphrodisiac and a hallucinogenic, and she is able to interact with the illusions created by people who smell her scent. Fantasies involving her sisters are some of her most common offerings.
5. Characters.Arrested Development The Bluths: A little bit with Michael; he sings "Everything I Do"(a romantic love song) to him, and when Michael finds out he had sex with a man, his response is to force a roofie down his throat and stroke his hair while lulling him to sleep. ► This one is a bit vague, but since the series has strongly suggested cousin incest from episode one, I think it's fine.
6. Characters.Betrayal Knows My Name: For some unknown reason, she and Tsukumo are always reincarnated as siblings. She laments in the manga that the Gods do not want her and Tsukumo to be happy when talking to Senshiro about the subject. 7. Film.The Scarlet Empress: Part of Peter's weird, gross manner is his strange interest in his aunt. When the Empress Elizabeth smacks him down for generally acting like a loony nincompoop, he smells her dress. Later, he tries to be The Peeping Tom, boring a hole in the empress's bedroom wall. But since he's an idiot as well as a pervert he's way too obvious with the drill and Elizabeth and Catherine catch him.
8. Characters.National Lampoons Vacation: Informs Audrey that she can french kiss. When Audrey says that a lot of people can, Vicki proudly informs her that her daddy says she's the best.
9. Film.Veronica: The entity takes the shape of Veronica's parents and its attack are reminiscent of sexual assault.
10. ThrowItIn.Live Action TV: In-universe with Abed's movie in "Intro to Recycled Cinema." First Annie decides to pull a "laser bomb" out of her cleavage, and later, in a Death Trap, Annie and Jeff confess their love for each other. This second one turns into some in-universe Incest Subtext, since they had both forgotten that their characters were supposed to be father and daughter.
11. Film.The Rocky Horror Picture Show: The planet Transsexual is implied to be this with Frank seducing anyone and heavy Incest Subtext between Riff Raff and his sister, Magenta. 12. Characters.SSU Venoms Enemies: Eddie's journal notes speculate Cletus might have an Oedipus Complex, based on him digging up his mother's grave.
13. Funny.Spy X Family: Anya eventually realizes that Yuri is a siscon, so she tells him that she wants to study so she can take care of Yor. Yuri, who is overwhelmed that Anya could love his sister so much, is then resolved to help her study, in the hope that he can hear his sister telling him that she loves him.
14. Literature.The Malaussene Saga: Ben openly admits from the start that she finds Clara attractive, and he says that were they not siblings, they would have been soulmates. This keeps going on even after Ben gets together with Julie.
15. Funny.Homestuck Act 6: It gets better: he then goes on to showcase his new "creative prowess" by drawing a yaoi comic of Dave and Karkat, or rather "Alpha Male and KrabKrab" which quickly is revealed as an excuse plot for him to introduce his interpretation of some of the troll girls, namely Vriska, Terezi, and Nepeta - and rant about why they in particular are sucky characters. He then shows off his abysmal self-insert (complete white electric wings) who he then immediately ships with the HTDM cover girl, who he describes as the only worthwhile female in existence and just like his sister, but more submissive to him he realizes what he said and tries to backtrack on saying he doesn't find Calliope actually attractive until he gives up and just erases the whole thing, with John teleporting in the background.

Seemingly Unintentional (12/50)

1. Series.Hope And Faith: One episode has Faith pretend she and Hope are a lesbian couple. There's also another episode where Hope admits to giving Faith a personal spray-tan.
2. Characters.The Silmarillion House Of Feanor: There are definite subtextual implications that he may have harboured less than pure intentions towards Galadriel, the daughter of his half-brother Finarfin. He was so enamored with her beautiful silver-golden hair that he begged her three times for a strand and each time she denied him, as in Fëanor, Galadriel (who was gifted with foresight and the ability to 'peer into the minds of others') could see only darkness.
3. BrotherSisterIncest.Visual Novels: Somewhat played with in 11eyes, specifically in the "Before Story" chapter of the Gaiden Game -Resona Forma-, which features the brother and sister Benedictus and Scholastica. They didn't actually have sex together, nor they actually have feelings for each other beyond being brother and sister - Benedictus was merely forced into a Mind Rape illusion where he sees his own body forcing Scholastica into having sex with him. There may be some shades of Incest Subtext beforehand but nothing explicit or confirmed. ► The incest seems to beplayed for horror.
4. WMG.Hannibal: In this continuity, Mischa was not murdered as a child, but was forcibly separated or kidnapped from the Lecter family and adopted abroad. Raised as Bedelia Du Maurier, she has no knowledge of her heritage. However, she still partakes of the Lecter family temperament and mannerisms, as seen in therapy scenes between Bedelia and Hannibal. Hannibal somehow discovered the truth, but decided to keep it from her until the time is right. He insists that Bedelia act as his therapist so he will have an excuse to be close to his sister. Because of his sociopathic nature, however, he has no moral qualms about referring a dangerous patient to her or implicating her in lies.
   • Which, if true, could lend an uncomfortable incest subtext to the romantic tension between Bedelia and Hannibal.

5. Characters.MCU Citizens New York City: Big Sister Instinct: Robyn is very protective of Ruben, stating that she only guards him so fiercely because he is incapable of taking care of himself. Of course, her protectiveness also has quite a bit of Incest Subtext to it.
6. Anime.Yu Gi Oh GX: Not technically canon, but Atticus does enjoy trying to force his sister into the most revealing clothes he can find. A LOT. And she's also his date to the graduation banquet in episode 179, complete with matching costumes—even though it's well-established he's popular enough with the ladies to have asked anyone in the school.
7. Recap.Star Trek Picard S 1 E 04 Absolute Candor: Narissa with her brother; she sits next to him in bed, runs her hands over his chest and arms, and even starts to straddle him while they're talking about his relationship with Soji. ► From a example of No Sense Of Personal Space
8. PlatonicWritingRomanticReading.Anime And Manga: Taichi and Hikari have Incest Subtext that may or may not have been accidental depending on who you ask. Mamoru Hosoda, the director of Hikari's debut episode, did have a very strange interview about the incestuous undertones about their relationship. During a live stream on August 1, 2018, Hiromi Seki, the producer of the show, explicitly mentioned she had warned Hosoda about the episode, saying that the scene where Taichi returns to the Digital World "didn't seem like a parting between siblings, but a different relationship."

10. Characters.Lelouch Of The Wings Of Rebellion Confidants: The Max Confidant Rank scene with Nunnally has more than a few undertones of a romantic reconciliation. 11. Film.Tystnaden: The way Ester begs Anna not to go see her lover and how she kisses her on the cheek suggests that Ester's feelings for her younger sister are of a more sordid nature.
12. Film.Avengers Age Of Ultron: This is not the first time that Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen have worked together on a film, but the last time they did, they played husband and wife. This becomes hilarious when you consider the Incest Subtext that Wanda and Pietro are known for in the comics (and in Ultimate Marvel, there's no 'sub' about it!) 1. Heartwarming.Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia: Even though it's revealed that the events of the episode were just one big lie, Dennis, who wasn't in on the scheme, genuinely wanted Dee to be happier (and out of their hair), and thought that if she did go with the plan of trying to continue her new career, she would become more depressed and kill herself. He even tells her he loves her (albeit with heavy Incest Subtext). And while she ultimately blows him off and kicks him to the floor, Dee looks both touched and interested during that speech.
2. Recap.Family Guy S 9 E 4 Halloween On Spooner Street: When Chris and Meg brag about "finally hooking up with someone at a party", Meg assumes that her hook-up will call her tomorrow. This leads Chris to tell her she'll be disappointed and Meg looks otherwise upset by this before the screen cuts to black.
3. Webcomic.Thicc Verse: Quite a few incest jokes are made when possible, though they're more prominent in The Loud House comics.
4. GrandTheftAutoV.Single Player Tropes E To M: Trevor. But don't call him a "motherfucker."

Even Chifuyu's behavior frustrates her. On the other hand, Tabane Shinonono has expressed interest Mana's CR unit and asked Mana to lend it to her. Not wanting to alienate a potential ally, Mana has agreed to give her non-classified info about the CR.

1. Webcomic.Fate Gag Order: When Sir Kay is summoned to Chaldea, he is immediately beset upon by all the allies from Camelot he can’t stand like Tristan and Lancelot. As he attempts to flee, he is “rescued” by a masked knight who winds up being Artoria Alter Lancer, who has brought him to a room filled with the various versions of his surrogate brother so that they can keep him for themselves. ► Example of Out Of The Frying Pan
2. ClingyJealousGirl.Anime And Manga: A platonic (or is it?) example between Eileen Kent and her son Teddy. She is visibly angry when Teddy makes new friends, and doesn't hide her contempt for his classmates Emily and Ilse. She even physically restrains him from seeing them. It's even worse in the original novel by L. M. Montgomery where Eileen poisoned his dog, because she felt like Teddy loved it more than he loved her. ► From a exmaple of Kaze No Shojo Emily

   • Reese unknowingly falls for Lois' high school self, reading her former diary.
   • In one episode, Malcolm contracts mono (a.k.a. "the kissing disease") from Lois, albeit from Lois licking her finger to innocently clean something off of Malcolm's face (unfortunately, not to the knowledge of anyone outside the family.)
     Reese: [at the computer] I can't wait until everyone at school finds out you got the kissing disease from Mom, which will happen right about [clicks a button on the computer's mouse] now.
   • Dabney and his mother in Hal's Friend. It's apparently a normal and accepted tradition for him to brush her hair every night before bed and for him to hand her a Modesty Towel the moment she steps out of the shower. She's also shown to be possessive and controlling and hates having his friend over, makes his birthday all about her, and is generally a My Beloved Smother. During the episode's paintball game, he has an awakening and Took a Level in Badass... and she's downright titillated like a flustered schoolgirl when he demonstrates his new, bolder personality.
   • Reese's reaction to learning that the diary he found and started reading, falling for the author in the process, is Lois'. ► This one is from a example of The Scream
4. Funny.Star Trek Picard: ► Multiple examples of on a single wick.
   • The Rubber-Forehead Aliens trope gets turned on its head when Narek needles Narissa for her "ridiculous" human disguise, specifically making fun of her "round ears" and that they make her look like a "plucked wakak." (It's presumably a furry Romulan animal with round ears.) She tells him to shut it.
     • When Narek and Narissa discuss getting information out of Soji by any means necessary, the former reassures the latter that he's "on top of it." She pointedly looks at the rumpled bed where he and Soji spent the night together: "So it would seem."
     • Even funnier when you recall Romulan attitudes towards synthetic life, which would make Narissa's snark likely due to considering her "baby brother" a sexual degenerate.
     • And even more so with all the Incest Subtext between them, suggesting that Narissa's jealous in ways that a sister should never be when it involves her baby brother.
5. Characters.Child Of The Storm Harry Thorson: ► Multiple examples of on a single wick.
   • Has a Type:
     • And much like his dad, it's Action Girls - in his case, especially blondes. Carol fits both categories like a glove. Guess what happens next.
     • Zig-Zagged when it comes to his affinity for redheads.
       • While Harry finds Jean 'inconveniently attractive', his attraction is mostly just an awareness that they're gorgeous, and Word of God has it that while Harry was originally going to be with Ginny (an idea discarded relatively early on), he's completely baffled by the revelation that in another world he might have got together with her. Though he concedes that Ginny is pretty, and technically does have a lot of personality traits he finds attractive, he doesn't really see her that way.
       • Later in the sequel, it's tacitly confirmed that a small part of him is more interested in Maddie than might be considered proper between second cousins in some parts of the world.
   • Incest Subtext: Mixed with Kissing Cousins. He's uncomfortably attracted to Jean, his second cousin, before his emotions win the argument with his hormones (mostly). When it comes to Maddie (also a second cousin) he tacitly admits that he's a bit attracted to her, too, after a dark duplicate suggests he was fantasising about her.
6. Flanderization.Video Games: ► Multiple examples of on a single wick.
   • The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey introduces Liane, Firis' Cool Big Sis. Although she is very protective and affectionate towards her little sister, Liane also demonstrated other traits, such as being The Reliable One when it comes to housework and having great skill with a bow and arrow. In the next game, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings, Liane is defined almost entirely by her obsession with Firis, to the point of reaching Incest Subtext: nearly all of her dialogue involves Firis and how cute she is.
   • Inverted in Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1. All four CPUs have had their personalities toned down from previous games, especially compared to their rather contentious depiction in Victory. While they still have their iconic personalities and quirks, this has the effect of making them all much more likable.
     • On the other hand, as implied above, this was a major problem for Victory, where just about every character was written with one joke in mind, then contributed to nothing but making that joke every time they appeared. Nepgear and Noire are particularly interesting cases:
       • Nepgear was written in such a way that she comes off as creepily-obsessed with her sister and having a fetish for breasts and anything mecha- or robot-related. This actually makes her a more interesting and likeable character than before, since even if she's a walking punchline, it's still an upgrade over her status in the previous game as a generic replacement heroine with no quirks or anything to make her particularly memorable except saying "goodness" instead of swearing and being able to go on a bloodbath through the other CPUs in one possible ending. Her Victory depiction ended up being so much more popular that this was the characterization carried forward into future games (albeit with the incest vibes and breast-obsession considerably mellowed out).
