We pity any poor unfortunate soul that is on the receiving end of her glare.

Death Glare in animated films.

  • In Aladdin:
    • Jasmine gives a serious stare down when her father, Jafar, and Prince Ali when they try to all talk about Jasmine like some prize. Even Jafar looks away nervously!
    • Jafar gets a Collective Death Glare from Aladdin (as Prince Ali), Jasmine, and the Sultan when he's revealed to be evil.
  • Alice in Wonderland:
    • The Carpenter (with his face turning red as well), just before he chases the Walrus for eating all the oysters behind his back.
    • The Queen of Hearts may also qualify, especially when discovering red paint on the white roses plant.
  • An American Tail: Fievel Goes West: Weaponized with "The Laaaaaaaaazy Eye!", the eye-popping glare that Wylie Burp teaches to Tiger.
  • In Animal Farm (1954), all of the oppressed animals do this when they finally see through Squealer's Blatant Lies after Boxer's death.
  • Astro Boy (2009 movie): Tenma has this one down. Employed several times against Stone, but the deathiest of all was against Orrin. It's amazing he didn't burst into flame.
  • Big Hero 6: Tadashi gives one to Hiro when they get arrested. Put into context, it was Hiro hustling a thug at an illegal bot-fighting gambling ring that led to them getting arrested, and Hiro's status as a minor gets all the other criminals AND Tadashi thrown into another cell together so Hiro can have a cell to himself. Tadashi is justifiably pissed at Hiro and silently makes it clear.
  • Chicken Run: Ginger does these several times. So does Mrs. Tweedy as her default expression, she even does this towards her husband mostly. Mr Tweedy also gives some of these to Ginger whenever he catches her in an escape plan.
  • Cinderella:
    • Cinderella gives three of them to Lady Tremaine as she is being issued a handful of chores after Gus accidentally frightened Anastasia.
    • Lady Tremaine does one when she realizes Cinderella was at the ball and got the prince. The shadows even darkened on her face.
  • Coco: In Héctor's flashback, Ernesto gives one to Héctor as he drinks his shot of tequila, not knowing that there's poison in it.
  • Corpse Bride: Emily is normally very kind and free-spirited but she gives a rather terrifying one towards Victor upon finding out that he lied to her simply so he can get back to Victoria. She does it again when she's unceremoniously reunited with her former fiancé Lord Barkis, who convinced her to elope with him and then murdered her and stole her money. She gives an especially withering one after Barkis runs her through with a sword when he was aiming for Victor. Maintaining the glare, she pulls the sword out of her stomach, turns it on Barkis, and angrily orders him to leave.
  • In Despicable Me, Gru is prone to these at a few points in the story, the most notable, and funniest one is when he finds the girls and two of the Minions playing and messing about with rolls of toilet paper in the living room. He also briefly gives one to an unscrupulous theme park employee before destroying a rigged game stall to get a fluffy unicorn prize for Agnes, which is the start of his Heel–Face Turn as he begins to care about the girls. His death glares are amplified when he later on goes to rescue the girls from Vector. Mr Perkins, the owner of the Bank of Evil gives some pretty menacing ones.
  • Dory gives an epic one to the crab near the end of Finding Nemo when he refuses to tell her and Nemo where Marlin is. Watch the following Gilligan Cut, and learn why Dory is not a fish to mess with.
  • In The Good Dinosaur, Arlo fools Thunderclap's cronies into finding a different spot from where his pet human, Spot, is hiding. But Thunderclap stays behind and stares at him. He's just standing there. Menacingly. It turns out he's waiting for Arlo to accidentally reveal where Spot is hiding, and he's proven right when Arlo glances briefly to the side.
  • In A Goofy Movie, when Bobby mentions that Max isn't on stage at the Powerline concert, thus implying that Max lied to Roxanne (which he did), Stacey gives him a big nasty one. However, that didn't stop them from hooking up afterwards once Max did end up on stage.
  • In Home (2015), Tip gives a pretty nasty glare to Oh when he tries to ditch her at the gas station to flee to Antarctica.
Oh: What is the purpose of your face?
  • Astrid gives one to Hiccup in How to Train Your Dragon (2010) when he wins out in dragon training over her.
  • In The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Frollo sports a menacing glare as he blames Quasimodo for entering the Feast of Fools and being pelted by the citizens. Later in the last third of the film, Frollo gives Quasimodo another one before ordering his guards to take him back to the bell tower after discovering the Court of Miracles.
  • Ice Age: The Meltdown:
    • Cretaceous and Maelstrom both flash this at Manny before departing after their failed attack on the mammoth and his allies.
    • The vultures all give sharp menacing looks to the group before they start singing their version of "Food, Glorious Food."
  • The Iron Giant: Happens quite a lot:
    • Annie gives one to Dean and then Hogarth in the diner after the squirrel is let loose.
    • Mansley does one to Hogarth when he is on a yelling rant.
    • A long one from Hogarth to Mansley during their standoff. By the end of it, he's asleep.
    • The Giant after the car he was about to eat is taken away, immediately before the first scene in the junkyard.
    • Rogard to Mansley a few times, like when Rogard is yelling at Mansley for wasting both his time and the government's money.
    • An almost literal example, with the Giant's eye-beams.
    • The Giant as he is shot after thinking Hogarth is dead and he goes into his Roaring Rampage of Revenge.
    • The Giant to Mansley right before Mansley yells for the missile to be launched.
  • Kung Fu Panda:
    • Comedic Hero Po is on the receiving end of plenty of glares. In the second movie, Po has balked at killing Lord Shen so Tigress forbids him to come with them. When Po insists otherwise, Tigress turns suddenly and hits him with a glare so intense the collected kung fu badasses present all get an Oh, Crap! look. She turns so fast that it kicks up a little cloud of dust, and we never get to see the expression, making the intention and thought of it that much more powerful.
    • Po himself has a pretty effective one. Nice Guy that he is, it only shows up when he's really losing his temper - but when it does appear, it's scary.
  • The Land Before Time: Sharptooth, who's expression in the whole film is nothing but pure rage and persistence, especially towards the main characters, particularly Littlefoot and Cera.
  • The Lion King:
    • Scar does this a few times to make sure his hyena servants stay in his submission. Most notably when he glares at them when Simba returns to Pride Rock alive, despite him ordering them to kill him years ago. This is then reversed when Scar is put on the receiving end by them, when they overhear Scar try to sell them out and pin everything he did on them.
    • Nala does this after beating Simba in their fight in the jungle. While she has him pinned, she glares down at him menacingly as she holds him down and growls at him, practically nose to nose with him. It is unclear if this was simply a warning for him to not interfere in her hunt again or if she was possibly going to kill him before he recognized her.
  • The Little Mermaid: Occurs quite often:
    • Ariel to Flounder when he accidentally revealed to Triton what she was doing.
    • King Triton is definitely the master of those (he even does this trope in the TV Series as well):
      • Earlier in the beginning, he has one when he discovers that Ariel didn't show up in the concert. It doubles as his Nightmare Face during a close-up.
      • Later on, he gave a nasty one to Sebastian when the latter triggered his Berserk Button.
      • He then has a pretty sharp and menacing one when he confronts Ariel in her grotto about the rescue of Eric.
      • In the climax, Triton gave Ursula a meaningful one when he finds her holding Ariel captive.
    • After accidentally destroying her pet eels, thanks to Ariel, Ursula gives a pretty scary one to Ariel before using the power of Triton's trident to go One-Winged Angel on her and Eric.
  • Mr. Peabody & Sherman: Penny does this as she and his parents visits Peabody and Sherman's Apartment.
  • My Little Pony: The Movie (2017): Twilight gives a few of them to Tempest Shadow during her Villain Song as she is being convinced friendship is a childish dream she needs to wake up from, which she dismisses; this was but moments before Tempest reveals her Dark and Troubled Past.
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas: When Jack arrives at Oogie Boogie's place, he's pretty pissed already, but when Jack hears Sally scream (therefore finding out that she was down there), he gives a Death Glare that signed Oogie's death warrant.
    Jack: [coldly] Hello, Oogie.
  • The Prince of Egypt: Rameses shoots a Kubrick Stare at Moses as they both realize that they cannot be brothers anymore, but instead must be enemies: Moses on the side of God and the Hebrews, Rameses on the side of Egypt and his/their dynasty. He shoots another one of these at Moses later on as the former grieves the death of his son, showing that there's no brotherly love left in him anymore.
  • Quest for Camelot: Ruber at times whenever his plans fail. Earlier in the film, King Arthur gave Ruber one after rebounding his attack with Excalibur.
  • Shark Tale:
    • Sykes does one to Oscar at the track after Lucky Day trips and loses the race, costing all the money Oscar bet
    • Lola gives a rather frightening and sudden one to Oscar before slamming him against the windows after he dumps her..
  • Shrek 2: When Shrek and Fiona and her parents sit down to a dinner, Harold starts off giving one to Shrek, completely disapproving of his marriage to Fiona. After an argument and food fight, Shrek and Harold are glaring at each other as they get up and each tries to take the pig in the center of the table, sending it flying in the air. Fiona then gives them both one after the dinner is ruined and storms off, upset at the terrible meeting of her parents and Shrek.
  • In The Super Mario Bros. Movie, the brothers Mario attempt to get a plumbing job done in Brooklyn, with Luigi accidentally breaking the favorite toy of the dog, Francis, who is owned by the couple they are assisting. This doesn't bode well with Francis at all, and he gives the brothers a furious glare as they start a plumbing mission. This results in a bunch of Disaster Dominoes, completely destroying any chances of the brothers getting the plumbing job done.
  • Tarzan: Kerchak would often these glares to Tarzan, mostly during his boyhood, whenever they so much as bumped into each other. In the interquel, he also gives one to Terk for mocking him.
  • Toy Story:
    • Woody has one on his face during the "You!" Exclamation moment towards Buzz in the gas station.
    • Mr. Potato Head directs one at Woody after he sends Buzz out the window, while Etch draws a noose.
  • Treasure Planet:
Jim Hawkins: If I'm not back in five minutes, leave without me.
Ben: I am not leaving my buddy Jimmy!
    [Glares while holding sparking wires]"
Ben: ... Unless he looks at me like that. Bye Jim!
  • "Glaring daggers" was taken to a twistedly literal degree in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
  • You Are Umasou: Heart, the carnivorous yet kind T. Rex, is able to pull off a harsh furious glare at anyone who dares hurt his family. He pulls one on Baku (his biological father) for threatening to kill his adoptive family and son. He also glares at Gonza (his biological brother) for trying to kill his brother, Light and his son, Umasou. He even pulls a well-deserved glare at the Maiasaura leader for their blatantly cruel actions towards him.
