Supers
Famous Heroes
Fawaz Mirza/Weathervane
- Aloof Big Brother: He tries to be this, but his feelings get the most of him in the end.
- Blow You Away
- Hero of Another Story: He and his brother help to take down the blimp, but they're only a side note to Quartz and the sisterhood succeeding.
- Purple Is Powerful: His costume is purple and lavender.
- Shock and Awe: He makes his Big Damn Heroes moment quite clear with a thunderclap.
- Upper-Class Twit: Though he at least seems to be an investor in Felix's projects, there's not much else that he seems to be doing.
- Weather Manipulation: If that name wasn't already a dead giveaway...
Hanif Mirza/Midnight Crawler
- Bad Powers, Good People
- British Accents: He's got an Estuary accent, if his Verbal Tic of 'bruv' is any indication.
- Casting a Shadow: Can disappear into a shadow at will.
- Hero of Another Story: He and his brother help to take down the blimp, but they're only a side note to Quartz and the sisterhood succeeding.
- Reasonable Authority Figure: Unlike his older brother, Hanif actually sits Eve down and explains to her what she did wrong, and gives her tips on how to improve. He also tells her outright why they kept her mask under lock and key.
Liv Larkin/Lovebird
- By the Power of Grayskull!: It can be assumed she also said "No fear!" to transform.
- Clothes Make the Superman: Gained her powers while fighting, and briefly passes them down to Eve.
- Hard Light: Had the power to shoot blue beams of light from her wrists/hands, which apparently took a while to work.
- Posthumous Character: She's the driving force behind Eve's character motivation.
- Tough Act to Follow: In Eve's eyes.
The Sisterhood
Eve Excelsior
- Alliterative Name
- All Girls Want Bad Boys: Eve likes Damien just as much as she likes Quartz.
- Ambiguously Brown: She shares some of her facial features with her uncle, but on the other hand, has poofy brown hair, dark skin, and freckles. Odds are she's mixed race, and she got most of her genetics from her mother.
- Berserk Button: Don't tell her she's fake.
- By the Power of Grayskull!: "No fear!" Bonus points, it's actually a saying her uncle always throws around.
- Cannot Spit It Out: Eve's had a crush on Damien ever since they met, but can't tell him how she's feeling for fear it'd ruin their platonic relationship. It gets harder for her when she discovers his secret identity.
- Clothes Make the Superman: Eve gets most of her fighting skills when she pops the mask on. Unfortunately, they start wearing off when it becomes attuned to her.
- Deadpan Snarker: Half of her dialogue is this.
- Hard Light: Has the power to shoot blue beams of light from her wrists/hands, which act like thick ribbons a la aerial silk aerobatics.
- Idiot Hero: Downplayed. She's not a moron per say, but she really has to stop charging into danger with no plan.
- Legacy Character: To Liv Larkin.
- Power Dyes Your Hair: Her hair turns blue when she turns into Lovebird.
- Power Makes Your Hair Grow: During her second outing as Lovebird, her hair grows longer.
- Tomato in the Mirror: Initially, she can't stand supers, claiming they use accusations of "power-phobia" to get away with being assholes. Guess what happens to her in the very next scene?
- Transformation Trinket: Her mask.
- True Blue Femininity: The vast majority of her outfit (and hair) is blue, with little hints of pink and red.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: A hallmark of her personality, bordering on Running Gag.
- Yiddish as a Second Language: Why else would Hanif compare her to Fran?
- Youthful Freckles: Three cute little ones on each cheek.
Bebe Hoffman
- Devoted to You: She adores Eve.
- Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette
- Emotionless Girl
- Literal-Minded
- Robot Girl: Though not as ridiculously human as most examples.
- Robot Hair: Oddly, she has two haircuts. One in her human form, and the other in her robot form.
- Spock Speak: Naturally.
- Supernatural Gold Eyes: Has them as a human.
AJ Savvas
- Acrofatic: Zigzagged. She realistically takes on Xander with only a bat and her fists, but it would have taken a lot of training for her to hang onto the teetering blimp.
- Butch Lesbian
- Dark Is Not Evil: Wears a black and dark orange bodysuit with creepy bug-like goggles, but she's a heroine.
- Fiery Redhead: At times.
- Significant Green-Eyed Redhead
- Technopath: She caused Bebe to malfunction so terribly that it knocked someone out cold. And gave her a nice haircut.
- Team Mom: The most level-headed member of the team.
Mercedes Greene
- Beware the Nice Ones: And stay away from her little sister!
- Cool Big Sis: To Gwen. It's noticeably the only time she tightens up.
- Cheery Pink: With a ton of bows, to boot.
- Making a Splash: Or a tidal wave.
- Personality Powers: She has the power to control water.note
- The Pollyanna: She's so sweet, her method of punishing Eve was glitter bombs.
- Pom-Pom Girl: Though she briefly dips into Cruel Cheerleader when he chews out Eve.
- Religious Bruiser: Loudly declares she's "a child of Jesus" in fear.
Gwen Greene
- Alien Hair: Has two afro puffs, though this is probably justified by her father's genetics.
- Big Damn Heroes: Rescues the other members of the Sisterhood and supplies them with a ship.
- Cheerful Child: Rivals her sister in how perky someone can be.
- Genki Girl: To quote:"I'M SO EXCITED, I COULD JUST THROW SOMETHING!"
- Half-Human Hybrid: Her mother was an Insectoid Alien and her father was a human.
- Insectoid Aliens: Well, half-one.
- Moth Menace: At least to the baddies.
Baddies
Famous Villains
Jishen Liang/Crystal Caer
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Damien is the only one of his henchmen that he doesn't tear into over the slightest fault. Even after Damien betrays him, he brushes it off and blames Lovebird for the whole thing. There's also his dead wife.
- Even Evil Has Standards: He desperately tries to stab Lovebird with an icicle, but can't go through with it. Whether it's because he's guilty of the former's disappearance or refuses to hurt a teenage girl is unclear.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Try to find someone/something that doesn't piss him off!
- Icy Blue Eyes: They only turn this color when he's pissed.
- The Lost Lenore: He's very torn up about his wife's death.
Android Man
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: His entire body is coated in burn marks.
Sofia Guzman/Batfiend
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Described as such by Android Man.
- Evil Redhead: Has auburn hair, and is said to be an evil genius.
- Expy: Obviously takes cues from Batwoman and Man-Bat, but she bears a striking resemblance to Hawkgirl.
- Light Is Not Good: Wears all white and gold.
- Significant Green-Eyed Redhead
Henchmen
Damien Liang/Quartz:
- An Ice Person: Well, he's much icer than his dad is.
- Anti-Villain: A Type 1, with hints of Type 2.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Downplayed. He's still a nice guy, he's just a bit jerkier after The Reveal.
- Deadpan Snarker: Not nearly as much as Eve, but he has his moments.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He genuinely cares for his grandparents, and it's implied he's only a villain to ease his father's pain over losing his job and his wife.
- Even Evil Has Standards: Seeing that Lovebird's clearly new at the whole superhero gig, he takes every precaution to make sure she gets out alright. Even when she's captured, he doesn't try to unmask her.
- Good Scars, Evil Scars: Has a large X-shaped scar on his left cheek.
- Know When to Fold 'Em: He attempts to sabotage the ship into landing early rather than to go down with it.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: More than willing to help his vengeful father freeze over the city, but doesn't want Eve to get hurt.
- Likes Clark Kent, Hates Superman: Since he refused to look under Lovbird's mask, he's got no clue she's Eve.
- Mad Dictator's Handsome Son: A fiend with dreamy, dreamy brown eyes.
- Missing Mom: His mother is dead. It's a touchy subject.
- Oblivious to Love: He's genuinely baffled by Eve's failures to confess, and ends up taking it as a sign she's socially awkward.
- Shegetz God: Eve's a Jewish girl, Damien's a Chinese guy. Draw your own conclusions.
- Stealth Mentor: Deconstructed. Eve gets so fed up with him messing with her and changing his mind about killing her that she calls him out with a "Why Don't You Just Shoot Him?" speech directed at herself.
- Walking Spoiler: Beats being a flat love interest.
