Ultear Milkovich
A member of Grimoire Heart and the first antagonist Natsu and co. fight against. She brainwashed Jellal and infiltrated the Magic Council in order to get Etherion fired and have it serve as a distraction while her guild gets one of the keys to unseal Zeref, however, thanks to Natsu, Etherion is never fired, her plot is exposed, and she’s arrested.- Determinator: Refuses to give up after Natsu exposes her scheme.
- Oh, Crap!: When Natsu manages to expose her.
- Put on a Bus: Currently just sitting in a jail cell.
- The Worf Effect: After holding her own against Natsu’s team, Jellal, via Unstoppable Rage, utterly destroys her.
Brain/Zero/Daz Love
The master of the Oración Seis. Like in canon, he plans to use Nirvana to create a new world order, though this incarnation is doing it for some different reasons.- An Offer You Can't Refuse: Brain has Jellal betray Fairy Tail under the threat of killing Erza’s parents if he doesn’t.
- Bullying a Dragon: Openly taunts Erza in the midst of their fight.
- Dark and Troubled Past: In X764, his son was killed in the Cabria War by Artificial Magic that he never authorized to be sold. When he talked to the Chairman about it, he said that he did it to try and end the war, and then said that he didn’t care about Brain’s son being killed. This drove him insane, and he vowed to use Nirvana to get rid of the corruption in the world.
- Enemy Mine: Brain and Zero decide to work together as one being to beat the Light Team.
- Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He truly loved Midnight and his biological son.
- Fusion Dance: Brain and Zero combine back into their original persona of Daz Love.
- Hoist by His Own Petard: Brain’s life was ultimately ruined by his own inventions.
- Manipulative Bastard:
- He forced Jellal into working with him under the pretense that if he didn’t, he’d kill Erza’s parents.
- He also manipulated the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Wendy’s parents in an effort to get her into the Oración Seis.
- Theme Naming:Most of his attacks have musical references.
- This Cannot Be!: Zero has this reaction to Wendy being able to hurt him.
- Utopia Justifies the Means: He wants to use Nirvana because he believes that the ‘‘current’’ world is evil, and by using Nirvana, he’ll be able to bring back the true light.
King Faust
The King of Edolas, and Mystogan's father. He is obsessed with bestowing an infinite supply of magic on his kingdom, and tries to do so by stealing magic from Earth-land through interdimensional portals that transform wizards into lacrima.Hades
The master of Grimoire Heart and the second master of Fairy Tail, Purehito. He means to obtain the One Magic in order to create a utopia for mages.- Bilingual Bonus: When translated into Japanese, the numbers of his formulas have this:
- 15=Ichigo=Protector.
- 24=Ni Shi=Two die(It’s two rune bombs)
- 42=Shi Ni=Die
- Card-Carrying Villain: Actually calls himself evil.
- Disc-One Final Boss: The fight against him is just a warmup for Natsu’s fight with Zeref.
- No One Could Survive That!: Hades gets a giant hole in his body and gets caught in an explosion, and yet he still doesn’t die. Lampshaded by Gray.Gray: "A scratch? There's a giant hole in his body!"
- Secret Weapon: Formula 1, twelve magic ribbons that inflict nociception on his enemies.
- Stuff Blowing Up: Formulas 24 and 108.

A mysterious being who first showed up in chapter ten to give Grimoire Heart one of the keys to release Zeref. The Master is the one who made Purehito evil, and also sent Acnologia to Tenrou Island to destroy Fairy Tail. While the Master hasn’t really done anything, the Master will certainly be an adversary. The Master also seems to have a connection to Natsu and Zeref.- Ambiguous Gender: It hasn’t actually been stated whether or not the Master is a boy or a girl.
- The Beastmaster: The Master was somehow able to manipulate Acnologia into attacking Tenrou Island.
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Only ever called "The Master of Tartaros"
- By the Hair: Pulls Hades by the beard in chapter 46.
- Dare to Be Badass: To HadesThe Master of Tartaros: "So what? So what if you're going to lose? So what if they're going to defeat you? After everything you've strived for, are you really going to just let it all shatter without a single fight? If so, then I made a large misjudgement, Purehito."

Shagorra Vermillion
The true antagonist of the story, who also happens to be Mavis’ father and Natsu and Zeref’s stepfather. For the past 400 years, Shagorra has been using a magic known as Soul Bondage to send his soul into other people’s bodies to eventually take them over in an attempt to eventually destroy the world.- Abusive Dad: [[Spoiler:Mavis, Natsu, and Zeref all grew to become his enemies as a result of his actions. It’s also been implied that he raped Mavis.]]
- Chekhov's Gunman: First mentioned randomly in chapter 45, shown to have a connection to Natsu in chapter 63, and chapter 74 states that he's the villain of the story.
