The following is a list of every meme I just removed off the main page. None of these have any real explanation about what they mean. Before reposting any of them please remember: There is NO such thing as a Meme that is self-explanatory. Even if you think so, you are guaranteed to find someone who disagrees.
With the airing of "Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody", the fanbase was hailing the start of the second season (smack in the middle of a rerun, notwithstanding) as the Second Coming (until the Endless Eight fiasco, of course).
The Say My Name trope is inexplicably closely identified with Fushigi Yuugi, although this might be a product of that show being the first shojo series to penetrate the Western market. It was parodied wonderfully in an Adult Swim promotion for Inu Yasha, thanks to some creative editing.
Have you forgotten "no da", no da? And it's "you know" in the English dub, you know?
With Tekkaman as a part of the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom roster, and Tekkaman Blade added to Ultimate All Stars, these memes have already crossed over to the Video Game community. Especially the first two.
Max Jenius is solid snake (refers to the episode where was sneaking around a zentradi battleship, inside his Transforming mecha that was dressed in a zentradi uniform)
'pineapple cake' has become a euphemism for foreshadowing a characters death, even the mere muttering of that phrase will bring forth Manly Tears from anyone who has seen the first macross series.
Thanks to the Gundamn! podcast, Dennis from Macross II: "Do you think Earth has the greatest culture? Bullshit! Stop thinking you know anything about culture!"
If you play the same Dating Sims that Excel Saga's Il Palazzo does, there's only one correct answer to any and all questions posed to you: "Put it in!" In other words, always pick "C".
In the second season, Hei has supposedly lost it all. But just look at him—any given day involves slapping unruly girls around, followed by a swig of smooth liquor. He's living the dream!
The very concept of how memetic mutation can rarely ever be traced back to a definitive source or origin on the internet becomes a minor plot detail for the first season.
Don't forget; if you have an issue with hitting girls, you can always stomp on their cellphones whilst laughing a little too madly for other people's comfort if you want.
A dozen or so sites emulating the Dollars site from the anime have sprung up all over the Internet, with some creating only the front passworded page, and others having entire forums and chatroom running, active or not. You can find it here, here, here, here...
It has become popular on several sites to, whenever Ogin gets mentioned, talk about her amazing assets by ending the sentence with "and that is a very good thing."
And the result of a typo in translation: Hibarik Youya
I'll bite you to death.
Ushishishi!
Ku fu fu...
VOOOIIII!!
Ciaossu!
I'll do it with my dying will! (and any variation of the phrase)
The name Shitt P.
For a little over a year (8 Sep 2009 to 3 Oct 2010), 4chan's /a/ board had the tradition of "waking up" Taishou Yakyuu Musume character Koume at 8:00 AM (board time).
The entirety of Panty And Stocking With Garterbelt is one collosal meme, spawning endless edits, remixes, parodies, copies and tributes.
The PSG Finale had, for all it's weirdness, been heading towards a Here We Go Again ending—when out of nowhere, with less than a minute left in the episode, Stocking stuck her sword in Panty's head. It all wentdownhill from there. Needless to say, even the characters were shocked with the turn of events, and fans were set all afrenzy. The airing of the episode? December 24th. Merry Christmas!

Gecko Moria has never won a fight and never will, existing solely to be a punching bag for other characters. Amusingly enough, this comes full circle when Doflamingo tells him that he's no longer useful as a Warlord, and tries to kill him offscreen. While still losing, Moria at least gets away.
Cute little Cheerful ChildYotsuba Koiwai has become something of an unofficial mascot on Image Boards such as 4chan, since the software to use the boards is also called "Yotsuba". The "favorites" icon for 4chan is in the shape of a 4-leaf clover, just like the title character's hairstyle, and the 404 messages feature her.
Only noobs will call her "404 girl", though.
And only the truly evil would play Rule 34 on her.
Almost on par with "Caramelldansen" are music videos based on the song "Danjo" by J-pop artist Taro!, which also feature a distinctive and rather goofy dance. Sighted series include Super Smash Bros, Death Note, and Eyeshield 21.
Of course, one can't mention Caramelldansen and Danjo without Caipirinha coming to mind. It started with Tomo's "you're a kid" dance from Episode 20 with a double-speed Brazilian song about Caipirinha (the national drink of Brazil), seen here and soon everyanimecharacter you can think of was brought into it. This is the first.
After Pluto was declared to not be a planet anymore many Sailor Moon fanart pieces were made showing Sailor Pluto being kicked out the Sailor Team for this reason.
Making AMVs with a cute girl (or boy) to the song The Real Sugar Baby is pretty popular. Victims of this meme include: Winry, Honey, Kagami, AliceYachiru and Luffy.
Now also HEADCHOMP and variations.Explanation(spoilers)
A main chara is eaten alive in the third episode, doubling as Wham Episode.

I r in ur magical anime, KILLIN UR MAGICAL GIRLZ.
Because of the general depressing and horrific nature of the show, the "MORNING RESCUE" Japanese commercial that a certain fansubbing group left in has been the only thing considered as a safe haven.
