Autobots
- Canon Immigrant: From the original series.
Chromia
A forensic accountant in the commerce guild.
- Canon Immigrant: From the original series. Her final design is based off of her original appearance, similar to her appearance in the IDW Generation 1 comics.
- Mythology Gag: In the Japan two-player games, Bulkhead (who had a Dub Name Change to Ironhide there) is considered an ideal partner for Chromia, referencing Chromia and Ironhide being a couple in Generation 1.
- Palette Swap: Initially, she was a blue version of Arcee until she was redesigned to look like her original appearance.
Clipper
- Canon Immigrant: From Victory.
- Pink Is Feminine
- Schrödinger's Canon: In Victory, she was bossy.
Drift
A former Decepticon that reformatted himself into an Autobot shell and joined the Cyber-Ninja Corps.
- The Atoner
- Canon Immigrant: From the IDW Generation 1 comics.
- Heel–Face Turn: He switched sides after witnessing the atrocities on Dabola.
- Palette Swap: Of Blurr and Cheetor.
Excellion
- Canon Immigrant: From the Cybertron toyline.
- Mythology Gag: In the Cybertron toyline, he was a Palette Swap of Hot Shot. His name is derived from Hot Shot's Japanese name, Exillion.
- Palette Swap: Of Hot Shot.
Glyph
A well-respected archeaeometrist — that is, an archaeologist — in the Autobot Science Guild.
- Adorkable
- The Cameo
- Canon Immigrant
- Tuckerization: She graduated from Drouhard University. Her character designer is Brianne Drouhard.
Lickety-Split
A waitress at Maccadam's. She hopes to quit and win a Golden Disk from the Tour de Orgenon.
- Hero-Worshipper: She idolizes seven-time Galactic Olympics winner, Lightyear, and she wants to beat his record or get bonded with him one day.
- Odango Hair: The two bulbs on her head look like hair buns.
- Original Character: She was designed by Animated color stylist, Claire Lenth.
- Spit Take: Does one with her drink while watching a performance by Team Stunticon.
Lightbright
A search and rescue 'bot that transforms into a dual-purpose hovercraft/submersible.
- Meaningful Name: She has powerful lights that help her find 'bots and things.
- Nice Girl: She has a charming personality.
- Original Character: She was designed by Animated color stylist, Claire Lenth.
- Shout-Out: To Hasbro's Lite-Brite.
Kup Minor
Optimus, Sentinel, and Elita's former drill instructor, as well as to Rodimus, Quickslinger, Blaster, and Skram.
- Canon Immigrant: From the original series.
- Palette Swap: Of Ratchet.
Longrack
- The Cameo: He can be seen in one of the crowd scenes at the Stunt Convoy show.
- Canon Immigrant: From Beast Wars Neo.
- One-Steve Limit: There's two Longracks due to miscommunication between the writers.
Minerva
- But Not Too Foreign: Instead of landing in Michigan, US, she overshot and landed in the French-heavy Quebec, Canada. She scanned a Japanese car as her new alt mode. This is a reference to Kiss Players Minerva being half-French, half-Japanese.
- The Cameo: As one of the audience members in "The Stunticon Job".
- Canon Immigrant: From Kiss Players.
- Hero-Worshipper: Of Ratchet.
- Mythology Gag: Her bio references her bio from Kiss Players. Not only does she befriend human girls, but she landed in Quebec, Canada (a heavily French-influenced area of Canada) and scans a Japanese car as her Earth-alt mode, both referencing that Minerva was a French-Japanese girl that became a Headmaster.
- Palette Swap: Of Arcee.
Road Rage
A vigilante.
- The Cameo: Appears as a bystander in "Moving Violations".
- Canon Immigrant: From the Generation 1 toyline.
- Mythology Gag: She is a Palette Swap of Tracks, as the Generation 1 incarnation of her was a redeco of Tracks's toy.
Rosanna
An Autobot idol star.
Coincidentally, Blurr has discovered that Decepticon spy he has named "Flip Sides" has the same body mold as Rosanna, and suspects that this spy is hiding somewhere in the entertainment guild.
- Canon Immigrant: From Kiss Players.
- Clark Kenting: Blurr isn't sure who Flip Sides could be, despite her looking near exactly like Rosanna. Though this can be justified since just because they have the same mold, it doesn't mean they have anything to do with each other.
- Composite Character: Of Rosanna from Kiss Players and Flip Sides from the Japanese Collector's Edition toyline.
- Manchurian Agent: Blurr suspects that this spy isn't aware that she's actually a Decepticon, as her true personality (Flip Sides) is locked away behind a false persona (Rosanna).
- Mythology Gag: Her production label is Twincast Productions, Ltd. Twincast is the name of Blaster's new identity in the Headmasters cartoon, and Blaster is her boss in the Generation 1 continuity (Kiss Players).
- Pink Is Feminine
- Wardrobe Malfunction: Apparently had one in one of her performances (or should we say proformance?).
Sky Garry
- The Cameo: He's one of the busts in the Cyber Ninja Dojo, and can be seen in crowd scenes.
- Canon Immigrant: From Return of Convoy.
- The Lancer: To Big Bang Prime.
- Primary-Color Champion
- Retired Badass: After the end of the Great War, he became a politician, becoming the head of the Transportation Guild.
Strongarm
Apparently exists in this universe.
Sunstreaker
Sideswipe's sister. She has a pet Insecticon named Bob.
- Gender Lift: Apparently, some time-travelling shenanigans cosmic retconned him into being a female.
- Palette Swap: Her initial female design is one of Arcee.
Wheelie
An orphaned 'bot that was left in the wild until he was taken in by the Silver Guardians. He's friends with Blurr and Dug Base.
- Canon Immigrant: From the original series.
- Funny Background Event: While watching a performance by Team Stunticon, he gets bonked in the head by Warpath's cannon.
- Mythology Gag: He's friends with Blurr, referencing their friendship in the original series.
- Rhymes on a Dime: How he talks.
- What Could Have Been: Derrick J. Wyatt drew Animated versions of Kup and Wheelie for the Allspark Almanac II, but also wanted to draw the other characters from the '86 movie and put them all in the show (likely as cameos too), but then the show was cancelled.
Omega Sentinel Captains
Primal Major
Bonded to Alpha Sentinel, codenamed Axalon. A few days after Alpha's creation, the Axalon crew played a prominent role in the Silvart Wars and captured General Sideways. However, while en route to Cybertron, Sideways sabotaged the engines, causing everyone aboard Axalon to disappear into a blackhole and haven't been seen since. It is suspected that they may be in some sort of time loop.
- Adaptational Name Change: He's obviously supposed to be the Animated incarnation of Optimus Primal, but since we already have an Optimus (Prime), his name was changed to Primal (Major).
- Broad Strokes: Whoever his crew members were, Cheetor and Rattletrap weren't among them.
- Canon Immigrant: From Beast Wars.
Big Bang Major
- Canon Immigrant: From Return of Convoy, or at least he would've been if he wasn't scrapped.
Hot Spot Major
Bonded to Eta Sentinel, codenamed Hyperion, he was loyal to his ship. During the Battle for Iacon, Eta Supreme was destroyed by Blackout. Hot Spot Major refused to abandon ship and was dragged away by his crew before the ship exploded.
- Ambiguous Situation: It isn't clear if he was loyal to Eta out of pride or friendship.
- Canon Immigrant: From the original series.
- Going Down with the Ship: Insisted on doing this when Eta was about to explode, forcing his crew to drag him out with them.
- Schrödinger's Canon: He's the leader of the Protectobots that combine into Defensor. First Aid is the only other Protectobot member in Animated.
Longrack Major
Bonded to Gamma Sentinel. Both he and Gamma were offlined during the Great War.
- Canon Immigrant: From Beast Wars Neo.
- One-Steve Limit: There's two Longracks due to miscommunication between the writers.
Override Prime
Bonded to Kappa Sentinel, codenamed Chromia X.
- Canon Immigrant: From Cybertron.
- One-Steve Limit: Not to be confused with the Override that was based off of the Generation 1 Override. This Override is based off of the Override from Cybertron.
- Pink Is Feminine: Her main color is pink.
- The Smurfette Principle:
- The only female of the captains, a status she shares with Kappa, who was also the only female of the Supremes.
- At the time she was revealed, she was the first ever female Prime known in the franchise. Though this is somewhat mitigated in that the rank of Prime is subordinate to the rank of Magnus in Animated.
- Uncertain Doom: It is unknown if she survived Kappa's destruction.
Decepticons
The Motor Master, Breakdown, Drag Strip, Dead End, Wildrider
- Canon Immigrant: They originated from the original series.
- Breakdown is from the original series, based on his Generation 2 design.
- Evil Brit: Drag Strip sounds like one.
- Gender Lift: Drag Strip is a female in this continuity.
- Magic Plastic Surgery: Justified since they're robots. The Decepticons reformatted them into Autobot body types so that they could more easily infiltrate Cybertron.
- Mythology Gag:
- Motor Master was originally of a different body type, but after the Great War, he was reformatted into the same body type as Optimus in order to infiltrate Cybertron in Season 4. In other continuities, he usually had the same body type as Optimus.
- Dead End being a Palette Swap of Jazz is a reference to Jazz disguising himself as Dead End in an episode from the original series. The toyline for Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen also had Dead End be a Palette Swap of Jazz.
- Breakdown's paranoia originated from Generation 1.
- Palette Swap:
- Motor Master is one of Optimus.
- Breakdown is one of Rodimus.
- Drag Strip is one of Arcee (though not possibly not specifically Arcee).
- Wildrider is one of Lockdown.
- Dead End is one of Jazz.
- The Paranoiac: Breakdown.
- Schrödinger's Canon: Whether or not they can combine into Menasor is unknown.
- Shout-Out:
- Motor Master is supposed to sound like Randy Savage.
- Wildrider calls himself a "director" and loves explosions. Huh?
- Neil Ross's performance of Wildrider is based on Jonathan Harris.
- BotCon's Twitter feed posted a link to the trailer of Kill Bill right before revealing Drag Strip, referencing the Bride and the Pussy Wagon.
- Sickly Green Glow: After exposure to forestonite, they have weird glowing color schemes now.
Barricade
- Canon Immigrant: His initial design was based off of his appearance in the the live-action movies.
- Good Hair, Evil Hair: He has a pencil mustache and a goatee.
- Early-Bird Cameo: He was first name-dropped in an activity book to tie in with the first live-action movie.
- Palette Swap: Of Prowl.
Blot
A member of the New Team Chaar.
- Canon Immigrant: From the Generation 1 Marvel comics.
- Schrödinger's Canon: He's a Terrorcon and can combine with his fellow Terrorcons to form Abominus.
Death's Head
Might exist.
The Fallen
He was reformatted by Violen Jiger.
- Arc Symbol: He is presumably what the Decepticon insignia was based off of.
- Fallen Hero
- Flaming Skulls: What his head resembles.
- Obviously Evil
- Shout-Out: His design (you know which part) seems to be based off of Ghost Rider.
- Skull for a Head: Cybertronians don't have skulls, but he has a head that looks kind of like what it might look like if they did.
Knockout
Apparently exists.
- Canon Immigrant: He was introduced into the Animated universe via All There in the Manual after Prime was released.
- Non-Standard Character Design
Leozack
Might exist.
- Ambiguous Situation: There's no explicit evidence that he exists in the Animated continuity. Derrick J. Wyatt drew him at one point, and his sister exists in this continuity.
- Canon Immigrant: From Victory.
- Schrödinger's Canon:
- Maybe he's a part of Deathsaurus's team?
- He's The Starscream to Deathsaurus's Megatron.
- He cares about his younger sister, Lyzack.
Lyzack
- Age Lift: In the Victory manga, she was Leozack's younger twin sister. Here, she clearly looks way too young to be his twin. On the other hand, though, she's apparently on the Maccadam's menu of customers, meaning she's at least of drinking age, whatever that may be for Cybertronians.
- Canon Immigrant: From the Victory manga.
- Schrödinger's Canon: She cares about her brother, Leozack.
Drillhorn
- Canon Immigrant: From Victory.
- Schrödinger's Canon: Maybe he's a part of Deathsaurus's team?
Hellbat
- Canon Immigrant: From Victory.
- Schrödinger's Canon:
- Maybe he's a part of Deathsaurus's team?
- He's The Starscream to Leozack.
Deathsaurus
The leader of a Decepticon group. He and his men failed to seize control of an Autobot space bridge during Megatron's attempted insurrection, thanks to the efforts of the Autobot team defending said space bridge.
- Canon Immigrant: From Victory.
- Non-Standard Character Design: Strangely, All There in the Manual depicts him as being more block-y looking than other Animated characters, appearing more like a design from Generation 1.
Megazarak
Megatron's predecessor as the leader of the Decepticons when they first split from the Destrons, until Megatron usurped him and exiled him.
- Canon Immigrant: From the Universe toyline.
- Klingon Promotion: Megatron usurped him and exiled him to become the new leader of the Decepticons.
- Mythology Gag: In the Universe continuation of the Robots In Disguise anime, he was Megatron's successor, and also donned the position of God Emperor Supreme (in other words, the leader) of the Decepticons in another universe. In the Energon era part of the Unicron Trilogy, Scorponok (Megazarak is his Japanese dub name in this continuity) was a rival to Megatron's leadership, leading to Megatron eventually offing him. Beast Wars Scorponok was also Megatron's The Dragon, though he was loyal and didn't have Megazarak as his alternate name in that continuity.
- Predecessor Villain: He was the first leader of the Decepticons, then Megatron overthrew him.
Reflector
Tarantulas
A Decepticon that fought in the Great War. He was killed by Oil Slick's Cosmic Rust.
- Ambiguous Situation: It is unknown if he was techno-organic like Blackarachnia too.
- Canon Immigrant: From Beast Wars.
Ulchtar
- Adaptational Name Change:
- Canon Immigrant: He's based off of Armada Starscream.
- Decomposite Character: He's based off of Armada Starscream, who was an Adaptational Nice Guy and had Adaptational Heroism in comparison to every other depiction of Starscream. And obviously, Ulchtar and Animated Starscream are not the same person.
Astrotrain
During the Great War, Astrotrain improved the Decepticons' troop transportation infrastructure.
- Ambiguous Situation: Since Blitzwing was the first triple-changer, it can be assumed that Astrotrain wasn't one, though that may change if he survived the Great War.
- Canon Immigrant: From the original series.
- Meaningful Name: His Animated design looks like an astronaut.
Gigatron
A P.O.W. that was exchanged by the Autobots for Moonradar.
- Canon Immigrant: He's based off of Robots In Disguise (2001) Megatron, whose name in the Japanese dub was Gigatron.
- Decomposite Character: He is based off of Robots In Disguise (2001) Megatron, and obviously, Animated Megatron isn't based off of him.
Scylla
- Schrödinger's Canon: We're not sure if she's a Predacon or she just has organic-like limbs like Spittor.
Tentakil
- Palette Swap: Of Scylla.
- Schrödinger's Canon: We're not sure if he's a Predacon or he just has organic-like limbs like Spittor.
Cassetticons
Ravage
Might exist.
- Ambiguous Situation: Derrick J. Wyatt once drew him, but there's no solid evidence that confirms he exists in the Animated continuity.
- Canon Immigrant: From the original series, based on his Beast Wars design.
Constructicons
Skipjack
Dirt Boss got Lockdown to help him clone Erector.
Predacons
Antagony
A Decepticon. At some point, Blackarachnia got a hold of her and transwarped her with a fire ant.
Inferno
A Decepticon. At some point, Blackarachnia got a hold of him and transwarped him with a fire ant.
Others
Arachnus
In another life, Optimus was the one who was lost on Archa-Seven instead of Elita. While Elita was expelled from the Autobot Academy and reassigned to space bridge maintenance, Optimus had been mutated into a techno-organic. Joining the Decepticons, he renamed himself Arachnus and sought out a cure to his condition.
...Not entirely sure if this is canon.
