What happens at the morgue every Spooky Month.
Skid: Let's go to the hospital! (he and Pump instantaneously drop dead)
Candy Dealer: What the fu-
Woman: OH LORD, THAT STRANGE MAN KILLED THE KIDS! SOMEONE STOP DA MAAAAAAAA—

Sr. Pelo is always known for his absurd, frenetic sense of humor, and Spooky Month is no different in this regard, if not more nuanced thanks to its fittingly spooky themes.

    It's spooky month
  • The caption for the Spooky Dancing skeleton video Pump sends to Skid is "A WILD NAKED SANS APPEARS!"
  • The Grave Humor in the cemetery:
  • Lila is introduced being held at knifepoint by a random man in a devil costume, later identified as Bob Velseb, telling Skid to call 911. When Skid tells her that it's Spooky Month, she instantly calms down and offers Bob some candy, which pacifies him and immediately makes him revert to the Spooky Dance.
  • When Skid and Pump run past the cemetery, the sound effects are captioned "Domestic Abuse" before two ghosts start doing the Spooky Dance.
  • When Skid and Pump run downstairs after playing video games, they find Lila has set up for Christmas... on November 1st. It takes them a moment to register.
    Lila: Kids it is Novembair!
Skid and Pump: ...IT'S DE SPOOKY BEFORE CHRISTMAS! (the two dance)
  • As John and Jack weren't introduced yet, the Newgrounds ending is instead Moloch realizing it's November, and then getting headbutted by Santa Claus.

    The Stars
  • The constant use of "SPOOKY" in the captions.
  • Skid and Pump eating ice cream versions of themselves... and disappearing.
  • After Skid and Pump are found by the latter's sister, Susie, while in her room:
Skid: Let's get the hell outta here!
(Pump grabs Susie's diorama of Hell and throws it out the window)
  • Pump's grandpa having a SPOOKY Hollywood Heart Attack, and the sound of every bone in his body snapping as he Spooky Dances.
  • While listening to John and Jack talk about the house on the hill, the Fat Thief excitedly tells them it's Spooky Month. He and Jack begin to do the Spooky Dance... while Jack is at the wheel. John panics as the car spins out of control and runs over Ooga Booga, meanwhile the Thin Thief just slumps in his seat, already knowing how this is going to end.
    Ooga Booga: "OOGA BOO-GAAAAAH!"

    Unwanted Guest
  • "Let's go to the hospital!" (Drops dead)
    • "What the-?"
    • "OH LORD! THAT STRANGE MAN KILLED THE KIDS! SOMEONE STOP DA MAAAA-"
  • While reading a book, Lila hears Dexter screaming in horror (because he's being attacked by Moloch) and, thinking he's caught the rat, fondly states "He finally found it." She then hears him laughing and goes "And he caught it."
  • After getting the Happy Fella doll:
Skid: I can't wait to play with the Happy Fella.
Pump: Let's burn it to see if it screams.
  • The caption for when a Moloch-possessed-Dexter attacks Lila:
    (Pyro_from_TF2_screaming_at_a_woman.jpg)
  • When Moloch finally confronts Skid and Pump in the climax, the two end up accidentally defeating him by way of an argument turned bet:
    Skid: He's not Moloch...
    Pump: What? But it's him!
    Skid: Nah, he's not!
    Pump: (shows a flabbergasted face)
Skid: He's red and cool, this one is lame and yellow.
Pump: Hmm... Ah, I know! Turn your head around, only demons can do that.
Moloch: Fine... But then I'll kill you!
(Moloch twists and breaks Dexter's neck, causing them to suddenly drop dead on the floor, and the background music suddenly stops as well)
    Skid: See? It's not him!

    Deadly Smiles
  • The In-Universe Happy Fella show has this:

Sad Guy: How am I supposed to be happy?
Happy Fella: Just SMILE! Fake it until you make it!
Sad Guy: You want me to be happy... because yes?
Happy Fella: (annoyed face with beat, then cheerily changes his mood) Of course!
  • The Happy Fella grows increasingly exasperated with Skid and Pump's antics, culminating in desperately trying to get away from them (to no avail).
  • The first thing Skid and Pump does is to borrow some colors from Susie so they can make some drawing, which lead to this exchanges.
    (Pump knocks on Susie's room)
    Susie: (door opens) No.
Pump: But I haven't even asked!
    Susie: Okay, go on.
    Pump: Can we-
    Susie: No. (door slams)
  • Susie's stream chat reacting to seeing Skid and Pump.
Luzy: ARE THOSE THE KIDS FROM MONDAY NOON MOVING?? (Pog emote, with the rest of chat following suit)
  • When Susie takes away the knife from the doll, Dexter sheds a Single Tear while keeping the doll's dopey smile plastered on his face.
  • Rick explaining why he's now working at the theater:
Rick: I sold some kids beer because I'm tired of breathing.
    • His response to potentially getting in trouble for letting Skid and Pump see a horror movie?
Rick: (takes off his nametag and lays it on the counter) ...I'm tired.
  • When Frank first spots the Happy Fella fleeing from the movie theater, he pulls out a ludicrously tiny pair of binoculars to get a better look at it.
  • Spooky Month's equivalents of Tankman and Steve are hobos that live in the alley behind the movie theater, and their introduction scene has Tankman ask Steve for more of his "booze". Their next scene reveals the booze is actually Steve's piss, which Tankman drinks. He then tells Steve he knew it wasn't actually booze before drunkenly making out with him. As a bonus, Steve is momentarily taken aback when he learns Tankman drank it knowing full well it was his piss.
  • When Skid and Pump ask for the Happy Fella back, Roy bluntly asks for their clothes in return. Robert, Ross, and even Dexter protest, to which Roy angrily clarifies he just meant their sweaters. The three then meekly apologize.
    • The captions also call him out.
  • When finally giving his "The Reason You Suck" Speech to the kids, Dexter complains about their "stupid spooky dance" — and then briefly does it himself before continuing with his rant.
  • While hiding in the attic, Skid and Pump poke out of their hiding spots to blow raspberries at the Happy Fella.
  • To burn the Happy Fella in the oven, Lila turns the dial past medium and high to "You will burn the turkey again".
  • When the three are watching the Happy Fella melt, Skid and Pump shout "Yay!", disturbing Lila.
  • The fact that Jaune comes in with another Happy Fella because Lila called her earlier about how she's fed up with the boys sharing it. Jaune apparently misinterpreted this as her wanting to get them another one so they don't have to share and is forced to chuck it into the oven when it also gets possessed.
  • The implication that Pump realized the doll was possessed long before Dexter tried to kill them, yet never did anything about it.
Skid: Uhh, Pump, what did we learn today?
Pump: That ugly possessed dolls are mean and they don't want to play with us?
    Skid: Possessed? What?
  • After burning the second Happy Fella, Jaune asks if there's anything to drink, to which Lila bluntly replies she just has spoiled milk. Jaune agrees, and Skid and Pump then try to join them.
Skid: Can we have some too?
    Jaune: Yes.
    Lila: What?! No!

    Tender Treats
  • When Lila has a flashback to when she first remembered seeing Bob, the animation goes back to the style of the first episode, complete with Sr. Pelo voicing everyone.
  • Lila's flashback shows that she immediately called the cops on Bob while he was doing the Spooky Dance, at which Jack and John enter the house (by wordlessly kicking the door open) and quickly get him in handcuffs. As soon as they leave, Lila begins doing the Spooky Dance herself.
  • While it happens during a tense moment, Jaune openly admitting that Lila is sex-deprived is still hilarious.
Jaune: (with a mouthful of popcorn) Hello-ween?
    Lila: J-J-J-J-J-Jaune?!
    Jaune: Hey, girl!
Lila: There's a guy outside, and-
Jaune: Glad you're finally trying something new! You've gone so long without di-
    Lila: I'm being serious!
  • When Bob breaks into Lila's house to kill her, she tries to distract him by informing him that it is Spooky Month and doing the Spooky Month dance. It actually works and he begins copying it... for all of one second before he is back to trying to kill her.
  • When Skid and Pump begin trick or treating, they knock on someone's house... and when that doesn't work, they break the door with a hammer until he opens it. When said dude then refuses to give them candy, they make horrific faces at him, before the camera cuts back to reveal them just jumping up and down while making harmless noises.
  • The last house Skid and Pump go trick-or-treating at before their night on the town turns out to not be a house at all, but a church. Father Gregor proceeds to splash a bucket of holy water in their direction, which hits Lucky dressed as a cowboy, who begins writhing in agony on the ground with his face burnt.
Father Gregor: Get out of the Lord's house, you devil-worshipping fiends!
  • When Lila is talking to Jack and John about Skid and Pump still being outside with a serial killer on the loose, they ask what costumes they should look out for.
Lila: Well, my son has a skeleton costume...
(Jack and John look at the street, and see numerous people in various skeleton costumes)
John: Uhhh... can ya be a little more specific?
Lila: [sighs] His friend has a pumpkin costume!
(Jack and John look back at the street, now with multiple people in pumpkin based costumes)
    Jack: Oh, no...
John: (to Lila) Yeah, just... just keep the doors locked.
  • When Skid and Pump arrive at the Candy Club for candy, Kevin immediately pushes them out, having gotten sick of them bringing him trouble. He points to Bob staring at him through the window as a prime example of their "trouble", only to realize Bob is right outside.
  • Rick walks in from the back to restock and finds Bob holding Kevin and the boys at knifepoint. He quits on the spot, walking out as Kevin futility pleads for Rick to come back and help.
  • Having learned from his previous experience with the Happy Fella, Kevin spills some gumballs on the floor in an effort to stop Bob. Bob simply brushes the gumballs away with his foot, and Kevin summarily trips on his own trap while trying to flee.
  • Roy is especially amusing in this episode. Starting with him not wearing a Halloween costume to trick-o-treat for Robert's sick sister, with the flimsy excuse that his parents don't approve him hanging out with him and Ross. He then decides to half-ass a rapper costume by stealing the blue hoodie and microphone from two kids dressed as Sans and Boyfriend.
Roy: What? YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?!
Kid dressed as Sans: You're gonna have a bad time...
    Kid dressed as Boyfriend: BIT-
Roy: (silences him) A-HUSH-SHH-SHH!!! Get lost! (the kids leave, he puts on his getup)
    Ross: What are you?
    Roy: A rapper!
    Robert: ... That's not scary.
    • Later, Roy's mother also criticizes his getup, saying he could've dressed up as something more elegant like a vampire, meaning he was just lazy. Cue Robert and Ross angrily glaring at him.
    • Roy's almost fruity delivery of "Where are YOU going with all that caaandyyy, HMMMMM...?" when confronting Skid and Pump.
    • Ross prevents Roy from bulling Skid and Pump because he didn't bring a costume. Robert asks for candy in a more peaceful manner, while Roy and Ross argue in the background:
Roy: Why?! I have a costume!
      Ross: It's not yours!
Roy: WHY?!? It's still a costume!
      Ross: Just leave them alone.
Roy: AAAGH! What a party pooper!!
    • Another Funny Background Event is the homeless Tank Men making out while three Halloween goers stare in disgust.
    • When Skid and Pump allow the Hatzgang some candy, Ross and Robert take a handful each... while Roy takes multiple handfuls for himself, which even Skid and Pump frown upon.
  • When Bob confronts the boys, Lila, and Jaune, he attempts to cross the street without looking both ways and is summarily hit by the police car, complete with a 3D model of Bob with ragdoll physics getting thrown up and crumpling to the ground. It gets taken further when Jack and John get out of the car, the camera cuts to a clay model of Bob's "corpse"... which gets taken even further after they shoot him and the camera once again cuts to the clay model now sporting a bullet hole.
    • Skid and Pump freaking out not because they're being followed by a serial killer, but because the serial killer didn't look both ways before crossing the street.
  • When Bob is hit by the police car, a quartet of girls dressed up as Touhou characters randomly arrive and clap in celebration, thinking it is some public Halloween act. When Bob turns out to have survived and gets gunned down, the girls clap again. After Bob survives that and is finally finished off after being run over several times, the girls clap once more. And they all do it with smiles on their faces.
  • Throughout the episode, a kid wearing a costume identical to the costume Bob is wearing is harassed by Lila and Kevin after they mistake him for Bob. After Bob is shot by John and Jack, they proceed to unload their magazines into his body, as the camera cuts to the kid watching in horror, who proceeds to barrel down the street after realizing why everybody's been antagonizing him.
