The main protagonist. A depressed student living alone.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: She's often told off during gym class for not trying.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: Gender flipped with her and Ogi; she is the brooding girl to his gentle boy.
  • Chainsaw Good: Her box cutter can transform into a chainsaw weapon when fused with demonic powers.
  • Cooldown Hug: Sumire, Himeko, and Ougi all have to talk her down (and give her a solid beating) after her transformation into a demon to return her to normal.
  • Driven to Suicide: Momoka attempts suicide after learning her father is the Dark Lord, which triggers her transformation into a demon.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Besides Usatan she has many stuffed animals.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: She is a half demon due to having descended from the Dark Lord.
  • Heroic Lineage: Her mother, Maria, was a magical girl as well.
  • Pink Heroine: It's in the title, really.
  • Show Some Leg: Blows Ougi a kiss while he's possessed by Yandere-chan, easily distracting him and letting Sakubaru-chan dispatch him.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: She and Sumire do not initially get along, but they mend fences over the course of a few chapters.
  • Tyke-Bomb: She was conceived just so the Dark Lord could test whether a Half-Human Hybrid would be able to awaken evil powers.

Sumire Kurauchi (Sakubaru Blue)

A New Transfer Student to Momoka's high school.
  • The Ace: The most powerful and determined of the wristcutters, as well as being highly intelligent and good at sports. However, she is also greatly lonely and broken inside over her family's abandonment of her.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: She carries around a stuffed cat, Nekotan.
  • Heroic BSoD: She falls into one after learning that her beloved lost sister was Angura-chan all along, and that her mother left her and her father to elope with a literal demon.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: She throws herself in front of Gothloli-chan so Menhera Pink can get to her father and hopefully make it out alive.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: Her mother ran off with another man and her father is constantly at work, leaving Sumire alone.
  • The Lost Lenore: Has one in the form of her lost little sister, Ayame.
  • Missing Mom: Her mother and sister have been missing since her mother eloped with a lover.
  • Parental Abandonment: Her mother eloped with another man, taking her sister and leaving Sumire with her absentee father.
  • Shipper on Deck: She often teases Momoka about Ougi's love for her.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Her and Angura-chan look very alike for a reason.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: She and Momoka do not initially get along, but they mend fences over the course of a few chapters.

Himeko Odakura (Yumekawa Purple)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yume_0.png
An upperclassman and Fangirl of the wristcutters.
  • Ascended Fangirl: She became a magical girl because she went out into the streets and copied Menhera and Sakubaru.
  • Badass Normal: Unlike the other girls, who have demonic heritage, Himeko is just a regular Ascended Fangirl.
  • Fangirl: She makes her start as a fan of the other wristcutters but becomes temporarily empowered by Rabbit through the use of empowering pills.
  • Girls Love Stuffed Animals: Her room in promotional art is covered in stuffed toys.
  • The Heart: She is the most stable of the three girls and has to convince the other two to get out of an emotional rut when the Dark Lord reveals his long plan to them.
  • Meaningful Name: Himeko ("princess girl") is a otasahime (nerd princess).
  • Nerds Are Sexy: She's very popular with the nerd crowd at school, described as an otasahime (nerd princess).
  • Out of Focus: She is the least plot relevant of the magical girls and is often offscreen.
  • Plucky Girl: Started as one, deciding to fight crime with no combat experience whatsoever and no powers to help her out.

Usatan

Momoka's mascot animal.
  • Super-Empowering: He not only empowers Momoka but he can temporarily empower others through magic pills.

Nekotan

Sumire's mascot animal that first empowered her.
  • Action Pet: Unlike Usatan, he engages in combat.
  • Cat Boy: He can transform into a mostly human form.

Yandere-chan

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/yan_7.png
The middle sister in the Dark Lord's family.
  • Demonic Possession: She has the power to possess people who are troubled over love.
  • Death of a Thousand Cuts: She is literally impaled by a thousand box cutters by Yumekawa Purple. However, due to having consumed Yami energy, she shrugs it off.
  • Eye Scream: She has an eye stabbed through by Yumekawa Purple.
  • Implacable Man: Not even a thousand box cutters can keep her down once she starts being corrupted by Yami energy.
  • Love Makes You Crazy: Her specialty is corrupting others into madness, allowing her to possess them due to their tumultuous feelings over love.
  • Non-Action Guy: Unlike her sisters she doesn't fight much, preferring to brainwash others into fighting her instead or luring them into traps. She shrugs this off as of Chapter 17.
  • One-Winged Angel: She begins turning into something clearly inhuman in chapter 18.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: She has bright red crazy eyes.
  • Yandere: More specifically, she turns others into Yanderes.

The Dark Lord

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darklord.png
The Big Bad of the series.
  • A God Am I: His motive is to rule over the human and demon worlds as a god.
  • Archnemesis Dad: He is Momoka's father and Sumire's mother's mysterious lover.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: He played the loving partner to Momoka's mother in order to conceive a child with her and distract her from her mission.
  • Big Bad: The main evil of the series.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: He is genuinely confused when Momoka's first question at The Reveal of his plan is whether he ever loved her or her mother. His answer is an easy no.
  • Honey Trap: He used himself as the bait and got Maria to love him, then discarded her later, causing Maria to commit suicide out of despair.
  • Jerkass: Hoo boy he is. His Establishing Character Moment is revealing he seduced Momoka's mother only to distract her from her mission and drive her over the Despair Event Horizon. He also has no qualms with turning his children into monsters to further his agenda.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Much like his daughters.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: His hair is a silvery-grey and he is evil to the core.

     Other

Maria Sakurai

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/maria_5.png
Momoka's mother. She was a former wristcutter and successfully fought the demonic forces for many years, but after the Dark Lord revealed he manipulated her and discarded her she succumbed to despair and killed herself.
  • Driven to Suicide: When the Dark Lord revealed he'd never loved her and only seduced her to get the heat off of his operations, she was driven to despair and killed herself.
  • Magical Girl: Just like Momoka.
  • Posthumous Character: She's long dead by the time of the series.

Ougi

  • Character Development: As he befriends Momoka he becomes more talkative and confident.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: He freezes up completely when Menhera-chan blows him a kiss, allowing Sabukaru-chan to easily incapacitate him.
  • Entitled to Have You: Discussed. Momoka initially expresses skepticism at his initial Love Confession towards her, thinking he's fallen in love with the idea of Menhera-chan and not her and thinks he's entitled to her because he knows her secret identity. However, when he rephrases his confession, she is more accepting of the situation, though she tells him to grow a spine first.
  • Fanboy: Momoka accuses him of being one before he explains his love confession better.
  • I Will Wait for You: When Momoka confides that she would have liked to become his girlfriend but needs to focus on fighting the demons, he promises he will wait no matter how long it takes for her mission to be over.
  • Japanese Delinquents: He briefly becomes one under Yandere-chan's influence.
  • Love at First Sight: Upon seeing Momoka transform into Menhera-chan he became captivated by her.
  • The One Guy: Apart from Nekotan (who is a cat) he is the only male on the side of good.
  • Plucky Guy: Even when captured by a corrupted Momoka he retains his hope, and when his schoolmates begin killing themselves under demonic influence he retains enough of his mind to instruct everyone to shut the doors and windows to keep their mist out.
  • Secret-Keeper: He discovers Momoka's identity early on.
  • Shrinking Violet: He begins the manga as one.
