    Gyaos

Gyaos

  • Bat Out of Hell: Justified with their bat-like features.
  • Bioweapon Beast: The Gyaos were created by the Atlanteans to fight against the Garasharps. Unfortunately, once the Garasharp were gone, the mindlessly aggressive Gyaos quickly Turned Against Their Masters.
  • Horror Hunger: Crossed with Villainous Glutton, since it's their eternal hunger for meat that causes them to go on rampages. And it's all for one purpose: to feed themselves.
  • Red Is Violent: The Gyaos have a dark brownish-red coloration, and they're definitely a threat.
  • The Swarm: Gyaos tend to move together in flocks and are highly social with other members of their kind.
  • Took a Level in Badass: As the Gyaos continue to evolve, they become stronger, faster, and deadlier.

Aquatic Gyaos/Sea Gyaos/Marine Gyaos.

Super Gyaos

  • Off with His Head!: It's how Gamera manages to kill the individual from 1995.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Its battle with Gamera was the cause of the death of Ayana Hirasaka's parents, and it was also what caused Ayana to believe Gamera was responsible for her parents' death, leading to her awakening Iris and raising it to get revenge on Gamera in the first place. Zig-Zagged in the alternate timeline, as it never caused Ayana's parents' death and that it led to Ayana developing an interest in studying kaiju instead. However, it still destroyed her home in the process causing her and her family to move to Naoya Prefecture.

Hyper Gyaos

  • Dark Is Evil: They have a dark blue coloration, and they're just as ravenous as their kindred.
  • Evil Is Bigger: The Hyper Gyaos are notably slightly larger than the Super Gyaos.

Albino Gyaos

  • Hidden Villain: As the Albino Gyaos was never discovered, humanity had no idea it even existed.
  • Light Is Not Good: Despite possessing a white coloration, it is as every bit as ravenous as its kindred.

Broomark Creations

    Viras
  • Adaptational Villainy: Viras is noticeably more ruthless and sadistic than his Showa and Reiwa counterparts.
  • Ax-Crazy: The most obvious case out of all of the Broomarks' monsters.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Viras brainwashed Gamera into rampaging through Japan using his mind control powers. However, it didn't last for long.
  • Combat Tentacles: He uses them to fight Gamera.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Like his canon counterpart, Viras can form his three head tentacles into a spear-like tip to skewer opponents with.
    • Meets this fate when Jiger impales him with her central horn.
  • Revenge: He came back with only one purpose in mind: to get revenge on Gamera for his previous defeat.
  • Sadist: He brainwashed Gamera into rampaging through Japan out of sadistic pleasure. Not only that, but he also twisted and dislocated Gamera's bones using his psychokinesis, all the while laughing maniacally after dropping Gamera to the ground.
  • Shock and Awe / Took a Level in Badass: In the "Summer of Kaiju" story arc, Viras has been given the ability to emit electricity from his tentacles when he was revived after being struck by a lightning bolt.
    Guiron
  • Acrofatic: Despite his bulky appearance, Guiron can be extremely agile in battle, as he is easily able to maneuver away from Gamera's fireballs with ease.
  • Composite Character: Guiron combines traits of both his Showa and Reiwa incarnations.
    • Like his Showa incarnation, he has a stout body covered in tough gray-green skin, a lighter segmented underbelly, and raised orange striations running down his flanks.
    • Like the Reiwa incarnation, his bladed head is curved, he has a stubby tail, and he can fire his shurikens in a manner akin to a railgun.
  • Remember the New Guy?: It was revealed that Guiron was created to aid Zigra in defending Broomark from the Kaltoss.
  • Rhino Rampage: One massive horn blade? Check. Body build and structure? Check. Attacks by charging? Yep, we got a rhino
  • Villainous Friendship: He and Zigra do genuinely get along, being old war comrades.
    Zigra
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Hoo-boy. Zigra in the Showa series was an alien conqueror who wanted to use humanity as a food source and his Reiwa incarnation was merely a bioweapon of the Eustace Foundation. This version however has a tragic backstory where his home planet was attacked by the Kaltoss (aka Space Gyaos) and everyone he knew and loved, including his creators, is on the brink of dying. Needless to say, the poor guy's been through hell.
  • Adaptational Badass: This version of Zigra can give Gamera a run for his money.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Zigra is no longer hegemonic like his Showa incarnation, is less sadistic, and no longer desires to use humanity as a food source, being a mercenary for hire that doesn't particularly care about the wars he ends up in and prefering to follow his creators' orders. He also genuinely cares for Viras and Guiron. It is later revealed that he defended Broomark from the Kaltoss in the past twice.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In the Gamera comics, he belonged to Lom Phlizium, but in here she created him.
  • Adaptational Sympathy: Unlike the Showa incarnation, Zigra actually has some sympathetic qualities such as him wanting his creators to have a new home where they can live in peace and safety, and also hoping that the Broomark population will recover from the Kaltoss attack.
  • Bash Brothers: He and Guiron were old war comrades.
  • Composite Character: Zigra's appearance is similar to his Showa incarnation and his Trendmasters figure, but his origin story is taken from his Dark Horse Comics incarnation.
  • Cyborg: Zigra himself is an alien life form that has been enhanced with cybernetics, and there is a living being inside all of that machinery. If anything, it would be probably easy to tell which part is meat and which part is machine.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: While Zigra can be rather brutish and ruthless, he cares for his creators and the people of his home planet dearly. Further justified when he defended Broomark from the Kaltoss just to keep the inhabitants safe.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Gamera. Both monsters are the guardians of their respectful home planet, Earth for Gamera and Broomark for Zigra. Both are also willing to protect their homes. ZigZagged, as Zigra isn't very malign at all, and has an honor code more akin to a hero.
  • Evil vs. Evil: The Kaltoss have attacked Broomark in the past, leading to Zigra battling them for the sake of his home planet's people.
  • Flight: Zigra is capable of flying at high speeds.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Even though Zigra is a ruthless killing machine, nothing is more important to him than his creators and the people of his home planet and he's shown to treat his allies quite well.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Receives this in the form of a brutal beating brought upon him by Gamera.
  • Lean and Mean: Zigra is visibly sleeker and skinnier than usual, with his body having more of a humanoid-like build.
  • Mythology Gag: His guided missiles, railguns, and grappling hooks are all references to his abilities in GAMERA -Rebirth-.
  • Oh, Crap!: His reaction when Gamera reaches his full power and becomes enraged.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: He is essentially a goblin shark dragon dinosaur cyborg.
  • Remember the New Guy?: It was revealed that Zigra was the Broomarks' first attempt at creating life, in which they have succeeded.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning:
  • Shark Man: A (vaguely) anthropomorphic draconian alien shark cyborg.
  • Super-Speed: Zigra can move at speeds well in excess of 200 knots both underwater and when taking flight.
  • Threatening Shark: A flying landshark.
  • Took a Level in Badass: He returns in the "Invasion of W" chapter of the "Invasion of the Broomarks" story arc, and is now equipped with guided missiles, railguns, and grappling hooks.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He firmly believes wiping out a huge portion of the human population will mean his creators will be able to live on Earth, have a new home, and repopulate. However, Gamera doesn't see it as a good reason for his actions and firmly believes he's doing it out of pure malice. Thankfully though, he is convinced once he realizes the Broomarks' situation and later kills off the Kaltoss swarm.
  • Worthy Opponent: He has battled Gamera enough times to hold some respect for the guardian monster.
    Doublius
  • Adaptational Badass: Doublius proves to be much of a challenge for Gamera compared to his manga counterpart.
  • Ax-Crazy: While noticeably more subtle than Viras, Doublius is as every bit as sadistic.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: A huge and ferocious crab/mantis hybrid with a unique feature.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: Doublius resembles a cross between a crab, a praying mantis, and a scorpion.
  • Monstrous Mandibles: Doublius' lower jaw can split into three.
  • No Mouth: The mandibles that align with Doublius' head gives the impression of this.
  • Turned On Their Masters: Much like Jiger, Doublius was created to serve a role as a guardian of Broomark. But because he liked killing so much, he turned on the Broomarks and attempted to kill them to extinction. Luckily, Zigra managed to drive him away before he could do further harm.

Bio-Mecha Creations

    Wyvern
    Kaltoss
    Legion
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Instead of being silicon-based lifeforms, the Legion are instead the product of the Bio-Mecha's genetic tampering.
  • Big Creepy-Crawlies: Insectoid appearance? Check. Huge size? Check.
  • Meaningful Name: They were given the name "Legion" as a reference to the Legion from Christian theology. This suits the creatures very well, since they tend to move together in groups.
    Neo Gyaos
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: A majority of them share traits with different kinds of animals and living beings, ranging from rays, snakes, dogs, and armadillos to even humans.
    Kugekira
  • Ascended Fanon: Daizua123 and Matt Frank gave the monster its name.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Initially starting out as a Generic Doomsday Villain: Kugekira serves to be the reason behind Gamera being sent to the alternate version of Earth, as his energy spheres have caused a disturbance in the space-time continuum, causing a wormhole to open that sucks Gamera inside.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Kugekira is a monstrous tentacled being that has the ability to control both space and time. Even by kaiju standards, everything about it seems unnatural, and it can travel to different universes and warp reality with its Energy Spheres.
  • Meaningful Name: His name is derived from kugeki, the Japanese word for void. Very fitting considering that his energy spheres resemble black holes.
  • Mix-and-Match Critters: He has a similar mouth shape to that of Gyaos and some parts of his head are similar to that of Iris, while he has a tentacled appearance like Viras. The tips of his back tentacles are also similar to Iris. All of these attributes are largely a result of the Bio-Mecha combining Gyaos, Viras, and Iris' DNA to create him.

Mutants

     Zedus

     Ghaerox
  • Acrofatic: It's somehow just as agile as it is huge and stocky.
  • Ascended Fanon: DinoHunter2 gave Ghaerox its name back when he was working on [1] in 2011. The name itself is used for the monster in this series.
  • Expy: Of Gwoemul from The Host. Both are mutated fish monsters that were created from certain substances. However, unlike Gwoemul, whose creation was heavily implied to be from the formaldehyde that was purposefully leaked into the Han River, Ghaerox's origins were made clear in that he was a monkfish exposed to radiation from the same nuclear bomb that freed Gamera from his atoll.
  • Mutant:
  • Poisonous Person / Sticky Situation: Ghaerox can fire globs of sludge from his mouth.
  • Villainous Glutton: Like Zedus before, Ghaerox went on a rampage to feed itself, this time in Seoul, South Korea.
