Given that there is a large cast, most tropes from canon also apply to the canon characters here but the divergences from canon bring these tropes in play. Some spoilers may be unmarked.

     Hosts

The hosts of various seasons of Total Drama are usually the ones running the asylum. Considering they appear in almost every episode they are bound to have a couple of tropes.

Chris McLean, the Host with the Most

  • Big, Thin, Short Trio: Forms this with Chef and Dakota. He's the short.
  • Creator's Favorite: Zoey is his because of all the drama she produced with all the sanity slippage.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
    • Joins the cast in running to rescue Leshawna from the Escaped Psycho Killer with a Chainsaw and a Hook.
    • During the final 3 challenge after a vomit chain reaction he refuses to put the contestants through a dare that involves one kissing the other.
    • He also refuses to out someone unwillingly and actually canoes out to rescue Chef.
    • He notes that had Lauren not been voted out at the first elimination ceremony, she would have been expelled from the game anyway for her antics, noting she is way more deranged than they expected her to be from her interview. They thought she would just be a "scary girl scout" character, not a freak that actually tries to murder people.
  • Hidden Depths: Reveals in Tri-Armed Triathlon that he is considered to be an expert on the Wooly Beaver, to the point he earned his master's degree after writing a thesis on the impact of the wooly beaver on the Camp Wawanakwa ecosystem.
  • The Nicknamer: Gives out insulting nicknames to the cast of revenge after their run into the forest.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: to Dakota, exemplified in the first episode of Revenge after her father funded the network.
    • Also fancies himself this to the cast and crew at Wipeout because of the previous season's incidents.
  • Spanner in the Works: He breaks apart the radioactive marshmallow and causes the remaining cast to suddenly undergo sanity slippage. This angers his boss and Chris is forced to reveal the votes during the first proper merge challenge, undoing several alliances, revealing the true allegiances of other campers, and screwing out other campers.
  • The Nicknamer: Does this during the first episode of Revenge. Not everyone is a fan.
  • Those Two Guys: With Chef.
  • Troll:
    • Notably during the bike challenge he tells Leshawna that she's eliminated only to force her to clean the bathrooms.
    • Episode 12 of Revenge features Chris mentioning the previous relationships in an attempt to rile up the campers.

Chef Hatchet, the Scary Cook

     Total Blended Island Teams

The Screaming Gophers

  • Dwindling Party: Thanks to the double elimination before the merge four Screaming Gophers are eliminated in a row, a deficit that they never regain, only having one member in the merge.
  • The Hero Dies: Has some of the more heroic members of the cast but all of them are eliminated.
  • Shipper on Deck: Many on the team encourage Dave and Sky to get together purely for the numbers.

The Killer Bass

  • The Bad Guy Wins: More conniving in the game and as such produce the final three.
  • Law of Chromatic Superiority: Thanks to a double elimination just before the merge they come in with the numbers. As a result three of the final four are members of the Killer Bass and this tribe produces the winner, runner up, and third placer.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: Creates a dare that Scott fails, and when Heather is eventually eliminated she calls down birds that tout her downfall.

  • Foil: To Beardo. Both are attune to sounds their voices make and both are eliminated by two of the main villains of the series as pawns.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Aims to last longer in Total Blended Action as one of twelve returning characters.

Heather, The Queen Bee

Placing: 3rd (Island)
Team: Killer Bass

  • The Pawn: one of Heather's two recruits for her alliance.

Jasmine, The Outback Girl

Placing: 8th (Island)
Team: Screaming Gophers
  • Action Girl: Wins immunity during the hide and seek challenge. Also puts up a strong fight against one of the villains in the slasher challenge.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Her relationship with Shawn avoids a lot of the drama and misunderstanding it had in canon. In canon she started out liking Shawn due to his survival skills and thinking he was joking with his zombie obsession, only to become bitter with him when he gets ruff during a challenge due to mistaking her for a zombie, and eventually accepting him and his strange obsession when he proves his loyalty to her. Here, she finds his zombie obsession cool and never becomes bitter with him due to a misunderstanding.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Marilyn calls her a fine ass specimen at one point.
  • Last of Her Kind: She's the last contestant who originally made their debut in Total Drama Pahkitew Island to remain in Total Blended Drama.

Team: Killer Bass, Killer Grips

Katie, The Peppy One

Placing: 18th (Island)
Team: Killer Bass
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Launches a strong verbal tirade against Heather when she insults Jackson.
  • The Cameo: Is one of three judges alongside Brick and Dakota for the cooking challenge in revenge.
  • Divergent Character Evolution: By virtue of being separated from Sadie.
  • The Fashionista: She exhibits a strong affinity towards Jackson's costume.
  • Foil: To Sammy. In Canon she's associated with another girl with a similar naming scheme just like Sammy and her canon name (Samey). Both exhibit Nice Girl traits who end up in a relationship with nice moral men.
  • Innocently Insensitive: When judging Mike's dish in the cooking challenge she lets out an audible scream when the duck embryo falls out.
  • Nice Girl
  • Official Couple: With Jackson.
  • Only Friend: She and Marilyn are this to Jackson.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: In this canon it's bad haircuts, which makes sense considering that was also Sadie's fear in canon.

Leshawna, The Sista with 'Tude

Placing: 1st (Island)
Team: Killer Bass

Noah, The High IQ

Placing: 26th (Island)
Team: Screaming Gophers

Sammy, The Cheerleader

Placing: 14th (Island)
Team: Screaming Gophers
  • Adaptational Name Change: Because of the lack of Amy, she doesn't have to go by Samey as in Canon.
  • The Corruptible: A prime reason why she was eliminated was due to Scarlett's influence on her.
  • Foil: She and Katie are this to each other. She is one half of a pair separated from her other half. Both exhibit Nice Girl traits but she takes a mean streak closer to the merge while Katie remains genuine through her elimination.
  • Nice Girl: Barring a couple of slip ups she is genuinely one of the nicest girls on the island.
  • Official Couple: With Brick.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Scared of Avalanches.

Scarlett, The Braniac

Placing: 12th (Island)
Team: Screaming Gophers
  • Adaptational Nationality: Mentions that her taxes would be taken from the US president at the time, indicating she's at least part American.
  • The Cameo: Appears alongside Chloe during Episode 2 of Blended Revenge.
  • The Corrupter: Had a strong influence on Sammy.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Is one of the first merge boots after being established as a strategic threat.
  • Evil Redhead: Condescending, Smug Snake Redhead, but still somewhat evil. The closest to her canon evilness comes during the cooking challenge when she's locked in the freezer.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes
  • Graceful Loser: Mad, but not enraged that she was eliminated by Scott.
  • Idiot Ball: Draws attention to her by calling a massive council to vote out Zoey.
  • Nerdy Bully
  • Tall Poppy Syndrome: A big reason why she's eliminated.
  • Smug Snake
  • The Stoic: Even when eliminated, she's not prone to raising her voice. The closest she gets to is when she's locked in the freezer.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Scared of Lizards.
    • “While it may be a bit immature of me I must disclose that I suffer from herpetophobia."

Scott, The Devious Guy

Placing: 2nd (Island)
Team: Killer Bass
  • Adaptational Heroism: A conversation with Leshawna makes him realize that he can't play the villain role that he desired to play despite initial efforts.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Gets immunity during hide and seek when he gets taken down river to a mine.
  • Always Second Best: Hilariously enough he's the runner-up to the official first season, and ties with Heather as the season's villain and Brick as the season's hero. It's eventually determined that Heather and Brick are more deserving of their respective awards.
  • Animals Hate Him: He's rather disrespectful to a deer he has to use as a model during the fashion challenge.
  • Bash Brothers: Forms something of the sort with Duncan.
  • Book Dumb: Thought herpetophobia had something to do with Herpes. note
    • Another incident has him not realize that Chad also refers to a country in Africa.
  • Born Lucky: Gets immunity during hide and seek when he falls down a river. He also earned the most immunity wins over both seasons, mostly due to this.
  • The Cameo: Chums the waters of Wawanakwa with Trent.
  • The Dragon: Seen as second fiddle to Leshawna during the finals.
  • Extreme Omnivore: Frequently eats dirt when bored or hungry.
  • Jerkass: Nicer than in canon, but still kind of callous and impolite.
  • Only Sane Man: Barely qualifies but is the only one who notices that forming a Guys alliance is bad.
  • The Rival: to Ryan due to both eliminating their partners.
  • Sanity Slippage: Goes through a short form version of this when he develops a rapport with Mr. Coconut.
  • Worthy Opponent: Scarlett votes for him to win because she respects how he turned the tables on her.

Shawn, The Zombie Conspiracy Nut

Placing: 13th (Island) 18th (Action)
Team: Screaming Gophers, Hollering Mixers

Sky, The Olympic Hopeful

Placing: 15th (Island)
Team: Screaming Gophers, Lethal Costumers
  • Action Girl: One of the more physically capable members of the Gophers, but sadly she's eliminated from an injury.
  • Gasshole: Not often, but when she gets nervous she has a tendency to burp. In some instances her belching is powerful enough to destroy a metal drill.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Her goal returning in Total Blended Action.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: She is the first contestant to be eliminated due to an injury.
  • Poor Communication Kills: She and Dave get into strife because Sky mentions she has a boyfriend, but doesn't mention the fact that she wants to break up with him.
  • Sympathetic Adulterer: Technically speaking, she's still with Keith during the run of Total Drama but wants to break up with him.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Drills.

Trent, The Musician

Placing: 9th (Island)
Team: Screaming Gophers

Zoey, The Indie Chick

Placing: 10th (Island)
Team: Killer Bass
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Carmen mentions her as being rather attractive.
  • Fiery Redhead: After her Sanity Slippage.
  • Nice Girl: As in canon, but here she and Cameron are the only ones to give resident Hate Sink Chloe a chance on redemption.
  • Sanity Slippage: Her interactions with Marilyn and Sammy seem to indicate that she's grown dependent on friendship, which escalates to the point of insanity.
  • Spanner in the Works: Not her, but her traps. They cause some eliminations and caused Brick to lose the final 4. Lindsay also theorizes that she and the new Rats get trapped in one during the fashion challenge.
  • Sore Loser: Or the closest the cast ever gets to one. After her blindside she launches into a tirade against her fellow contestants but after a couple of days at Playa de Los Losers she is noticeably calmer. She then becomes the most bitter juror when casting her vote for the finale.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Starts after Cameron is eliminated before culminating fully during the merge after Jackson is eliminated.
  • Trap Master: Begins setting up traps that captures her fellow contestants and inconveniences them at random times. This contributes to the reason for her elimination.
  • Wild Card: Prone to exploding at people and did her own things after the agenda.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Bears. Which naturally means a bear gets a crush on her.

Total Blended Revenge of the Island Teams

The Mutant Maggots

The Radioactive/Toxic Rats

  • Added Alliterative Appeal: When referred to as the Radioactive Rats.
  • Brains Versus Brawn: Their comparative athletic strength helped lead to a victory during the more physical challenges where they gained a commanding lead in the obstacle course and got more of their members into the opposing team's fort.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Green
  • Spear Counterpart: Four male contestants and one female contestant of the initial team make it to the merge.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: At the middle of the merge, several members who do make it to the merge profess their desire for wanting to make it to the end with each other, but all have different priorities as to who should make it to the end.

Revenge of the Island Canon Characters

B, The Silent Genius

Placing: 11th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots
  • Big Beautiful Man: He is a bit overweight, but he has a bit of Ship Tease with Gwen.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Rescues Staci from underneath the waves and conjures up an invention to ground Gwen after she's launched in the air.
  • Black and Nerdy: Not to the extent of Cameron, but his smarts are very much appreciated.
  • Gadgeteer Genius
  • Hypocrisy Nod: Votes out Owen because of his stature being a hindrance, but notes that he has a fair bit of girth.
  • The Leader: Seems to be slipping into this role for the Maggots, being the one who comes up with most of their strategies during challenges.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Even after his real name is revealed to be Beverly hardly anyone calls him that.
  • Not His Sled: Once again his own giant mirror idea backfires during the ice fortress challenge and melts his own team's fortress due to one of his teammates moving it. Unlike in canon though, where Scott framed him of sabotaging them, everyone else knows that Tyler was the one who (accidentally) moved it, and thus B is spared from his canon elimination.
  • The Silent Bob: B never talks, but he is able to communicate through gestures and using diagrams and figures to refer to other people and what he plans to do.
  • Suddenly Voiced: During the reunion for his season, he's asked why he doesn't speak.
B: [Beat] Actions speak louder than words.

Dawn, The Moonchild

Placing: 12th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Hinted by the fact that Duncan and Scott were her favorite campers from the previous season. Considering her secret crush was actually The Onceler from The Lorax, her type may in fact be Troubled, but Cute.
  • Aura Vision: Dawn has this and can scope out the relations between cast members but specifies that it isn't as accurate as she makes it out to be.
  • The Empath: Figures out that Mike has DID rather early and becomes his secret keeper.
  • Granola Girl: Loves animals and the earth and resonates strongly with the plight of the mutants.
  • Mystical White Hair
  • Rapid-Fire Interrupting: Does this during her interview to the implied chagrin of the interviewer.
  • Secret-Keeper: Is the first to figure out that Mike has Dissociative Identity Disorder and agrees to keep it a secret.

DJ, The Brickhouse with a Heart

Placing: 9th (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats
  • The Big Guy: Muscular and the largest teen on the cast, also the only one taller than Quentin of the teens, something Quentin appreciates.
  • Cowardly Lion: Shines through in the mine challenge when he works with Gwen and B to rescue Dave and the others from the sasquatch.
  • Even the Guys Want Him: Quentin gets a crush on him through the duration of Revenge.
  • Gentle Giant
  • Just Friends: When Quentin asks him out, DJ turns him down gently by telling him he isn't interested in dating guys and thinks of Quentin as his "bro".
  • Lovable Coward: He is a Nice Guy that tries his best to get along with his team, though he is also easily scared. During the nighttime challenge he is the first member of his team to Freak Out at the mutants and runs away screaming.
  • Lovable Jock: Mentions playing football and doing gymnastics despite not being much of a leader.
  • Momma's Boy: His motivation for going onto the show is making his mom proud by making money.
  • Nice Guy
  • Real Men Wear Pink: A provider type as outlined by Dawn and does a lot of the cooking and also does gymnastics.
  • Supreme Chef: Helps cook breakfast for his fellow campers and his cake gets compliments from Chef, Chris, and Dakota.
  • Those Two Guys: With Quentin.
  • Voice Changeling: DJ demonstrates that he can do a perfect imitation of Chef's voice.

Gwen, the Loner

Placing: 8th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots, Toxic Rats
  • Animal Motifs: Dawn says she's a heroic gopher.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Goes onto the show to show her little brothers that Reality Tv isn't a good career choice.
  • Celebrity Is Overrated: Holds this mindset.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Votes for Lindsay in spite of the girl's alliance set up.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Snarks fairly often, befitting of her personality and stereotype.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Already starts to show shades of this when she mentions that she trusts Violet's judgement and willingly converses with Jaiden, another 'normal' person on the show.
  • The Eeyore: A bit of a debbie downer, but has a small optimistic mindset.
  • Hairpin Lockpick: Does this to open a door.
  • Ice Queen: Comes off as one to Violet.
  • Jerkass to One: Has a noted dislike of Lindsay based off of petty issue.
  • Not So Above It All: After all that's been said and done with her season, she does raise her hand when Chris asks who is willing to return for another season.
  • Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Gwen believes that Lindsay is actually a very dangerous player who flies under the radar due to her Dumb Blonde personality, even thinking it is just an act at times, and that since she is well liked by everyone she has a real chance at potentially winning if she makes it too far. After Lindsay finds out Gwen betrayed her and tried to vote her off, she starts taking the game much more seriously and tries strategizing more often, not only eliminating Gwen but making it all the way to the finals and winning in a 4-3 vote against Mike.
  • Ship Tease: Seems to have a small attraction to B as her conversation with Carson indicates. Chris later mentions her attraction to B when discussing the various couples throughout the season to get her riled up.

Jo, The Take No Prisoners Jockette

Placing: 7th (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats, Mutant Maggots
  • Big Bad: She is the most openly antagonist player of the season and drives the conflict in the first 2 episodes of the merge. She is also voted as the main villain of the season during the Reunion.
  • Birds of a Feather: She and Lightning actually bond over their love of football.
  • Competition Freak: She and Lightning also raise their hands first when wanting to return.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: She is the main antagonist for a majority of the story and masterminds a few eliminations, but is eliminated in the merge once she finally loses an individual immunity challenge with six other campers remaining.
  • The Friend No One Likes: A target for several eliminations, yet scrapes by. Granted, Lightning genuinely enjoys her company and it's hinted as being true for the inverse.
  • Home Nudist: Even when sharing a room with Carmen she works out naked.
  • Jerk Jock
  • Lady Looks Like a Dude: At least to Lightning, much to her chagrin.
  • Large Ham
  • The Leader: Carmen and Jaiden recognize her as the top figure in the Jock Quartet and try to stage a coup by voting for her. She becomes a Manipulative Bitch when she decides to eliminate DJ and leads Owen, Mike, and Lightning to vote for him based off of a misunderstanding.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: When she and the rest of the Mutant Maggots are trying to find a mutant to use for the fashion contest, B attempts to draw up a plan to get one and assign each member of the team a role. But Jo doesn't let him finish and simply charges into a cave, forcing everyone else to follow after her.
  • Manipulative Bitch: She manages to trick Lightning, Mike, and Owen into blindsiding DJ by lying to them that he broke Quentin's heart by harshly rejecting him when he asked him out.
  • Samus Is a Girl: For the most part, Lightning only sees Jo as a guy, so when Jo finally clarifies that she's a girl during her elimination, Lightning has this reaction.
  • The Nicknamer: The insulting kind usually towards anyone who opposes her.
  • Toxic Friend Influence: Dawn can tell that she does see Lightning as a friend, but that unfortunately results in a more mean Lightning.
  • The Unapologetic: Says she hates apologies when she's confronted after accusing Quentin of ogling Violet.

Lightning, the Apex Jock

Placing: 4th (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats
  • Competition Freak: He and Jo are the first two to raise their hands when asked if they are willing to return.
  • Dumb Jock: He's aware that he's not the smartest and continually mistakes Jo for a gay guy.
  • Dumb Muscle: This variation of him more closely falls in line with the himbo characterization but he does have some jerkish moments still.
  • Graceful Loser: Upon his elimination although he is disappointed that Mike voted against him instead of going with their plan for a tiebreaker he still leaves the game in high spirits and understands Mike's reason for voting for him, forgiving him and even voting for him to win the finale.
  • Hidden Depths: Played With; he says that his mom is the team chef of a few football teams, so he knows how to cook himself. Though the dish that he makes is better than half the others, it falls short of winning due to being a bit too basic.
  • Jerkass Ball: Holds this when Mike switches off of his team and he rationalizes that he can't room with him anymore. He softens up after this and attempts to make amends with Mike.
  • Large Ham
  • Odd Friendship: He ends up forming a genuine friendship with Mike, due to being impressed with his athletic skills. Even when Mike confesses his DID to him, Lightning doesn't think any less of him for it, promising to keep it a secret and help him.
  • Pet the Dog:
    • As much as a self-centered person he is and how he feels his team would be hopeless without him, he says he can at least acknowledge where credit is due and his teammates accomplish something, like when Mike (as Svetlana) performed some cool stunts during the obstacle course.
    • He also forms a partnership with Mike on account of their bond as roommates, promising to keep Mike in the 'zone' whenever he slips out. After losing the nighttime challenge, partly due to Mike (actually Vito) and Carmen wasting time making out, Lightning voices his trust in Mike and petitions Carmen be eliminated.
    • He is also much more sportsmanlike this time around and is willing to help out his team.
    • After he wins the tiebreaker against Jaiden, he still cheers for her to finish the challenge herself and promises to keep fighting for her.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: After his team loses the mutant fashion challenge, he and his love interest Jaiden end up on the chopping block with the votes tied between them. Lightning ends up winning the tiebreaker, but this of course means Jaiden is eliminated. Lightning even says in a confessional afterwards that winning always feels good for him, but this one didn't feel as good.
  • Shipper on Deck: Thinks Quentin and Jo make a good couple in spite of the Incompatible Orientation, partly due to mistaking Jo for a guy. It's part of the justification he gives to vote out DJ during the merge.
  • Third-Person Person
  • Unsportsmanlike Gloating
  • Verbal Tic: Sha-Yeah he does!
  • Would Hit a Girl: He brawls with Quentin, Mike, Heather and Jo for the case to win immunity, but for the most part he's unaware that Jo is a girl.

Lindsay, The Dumb Princess

Placing: 1st (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots, Toxic Rats
  • Accidental Misnaming: Just like in canon she has a hard time remembering everyone's names. This is initially Exaggerated with her being almost unable to name anyone correctly at all, but she slowly starts to stop doing it as the game goes on.
  • Character Exaggeration: Her misnaming people goes beyond calling people by names that start with the same letter. She calls Carson 'Bikesister', B 'Q', and Carmen 'VanGenderNonbinary' to name a couple.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Has surprising proficiency in a fair bit of challenges, being one of the two to survive the nighttime scavenger hunt, and is surprisingly observant.
  • Determinator: She mentions that she attended three consecutive summers of culinary classes but kept returning, but she gets kicked out every time.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After she found out how Gwen betrayed her and tried to vote her off, she ends up voting for her at the next elimination. It only works because Quentin used the idol to save himself, but it still counts.
  • Dumb Blonde: Deconstructed; Lindsay starts out as this just like in canon, being not very smart to the point she can't remember anyone's names, annoys others around her like Gwen with her nonsense, and is easily manipulated by others. However, she reveals that she is well aware of her status as this and wants to show others she is more than just that. She still has moments of brilliance that occasionally help her team, and because others don't think of her as a threat she is able to play under the radar without anyone noticing, like making an alliance with Mike and Lightning towards the end of the game and even managing to outsmart Violet a few times.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Not only does she win her season, she still has her new boyfriend Tyler afterwards and the two mention going on a road trip together after the show.
  • The Fashionista: Picked her outfit because it was aerodynamic and strong for the physical game.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • Despite being a Dumb Blonde, she actually manages to work out several of the puzzles during the nighttime challenge that helps her team win.
    • She also manages to convince Violet, a character comparatively smarter than her, that she received no votes during an elimination when she actually did, having planned with Mike to use his vote on Violet so they could see how she reacts to it.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Still winds up with and outlasts Tyler on her debut season.
  • Lethal Chef: She took three Summer culinary classes but was kicked out after the first session each time. She did manage to get 4th place in the cooking challenge though, barley beating Mike and Owen.
  • Lovable Alpha Bitch: A classic popular chick who aims to play the social game and for the most part it works (apart from Gwen).
  • Ms. Fanservice: Regarded as the most beautiful contestant and she has a gratuitous fanservice moment where she bends low to the ground with her chest and tries to activate a metal detector.
  • Red Baron: In-Universe, she realizes that Admiral Lindsay Her Hotness is a catchy name that she wants to save for future reference.
  • Secret-Keeper: Manages to figure out that Mike has something more under the surface. She's not very good at keeping Paula's secret though.
  • Ship Tease: With Tyler (obviously), escalates to Official Couple status but Tyler is eliminated shortly after they get together.
  • Smart Ball: Holds this when rationalizing why Gwen wanted to go onto Reality Tv and when trying to keep Mike on track when planning.

Max, The Supervillain

Placing: 17th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots
  • Evil Laugh: Gives one off during his interview.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes
  • Harmless Villain: Despite his boasting, all he really does is go around shouting how evil he is instead of actually doing anything evil, coming off more as an annoyance than a threat. Chris even refers to him as this verbatim during the Reunion.
  • Large Ham
  • The Load: He barely does anything to contribute to his team and just goes around shouting how "evil" he is.
  • Never My Fault: His refusal to take accountability for his secrets is why he got voted out.
  • Small Name, Big Ego
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Second eliminated and we know little of his home life.

Mike, The Dynamic

Placing: 2nd (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats, Mutant Maggots

Chester

Svetlana

  • Action Girl: Helps Mike over the Bouncy Agony of Double Trouble.
  • Jerk Jock: Not to the extent of Jo, but uses Insane Troll Logic to deride Sky for being tied up on her own volition and uses her as a pole vault during the ice fort challenge and wrestles with Lightning over control of the Mutant Gull cannon.
  • Passionate Sports Girl: A gymnast.

Vito

Manitoba Smith

  • Ace Pilot: During the flying challenge he is the one piloting Mike's plane when it gets off of the ground.
  • Innocently Insensitive: He is overall a good guy that seems to want to protect the others, but some of his comments come off as him being microaggressive and arguably sexist.
  • Lesser of Two Evils: Him and Svetlana are who Mike describes as the least disruptive.

Owen, Mr. Happy go lucky

Placing: 5th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots
  • Acrofatic: During a challenge, he winds up in a tree with Mike. The two talk about how Owen is athletic despite his weight.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: He realizes he's bisexual rather than remaining an Ambiguously Bi character during a conversation with Quentin.
  • Animal Motifs: Dawn compares him to a bear.
  • Big Fun
  • Big Eater: One confessional has him notably light up when a Bagel falls out of his neck folds.
  • Birds of a Feather: His friendship with Violet winds up becoming this because both are bisexual.
  • Bi-Wildered: The leadup to his coming out scene has Owen mention that he finds a lot of people attractive but is only aware of liking guys OR girls, not both.
  • The Bus Came Back: The first contestant to return after being previously eliminated.
  • Cannot Keep a Secret: During the second episode he somehow confesses all five of his secrets that Chris planned to reveal. In the confessional immediately after he talks about some more Noodle Incidents.
  • Dumb Blonde: Lacks spatial awareness at points.
  • Gasshole: But remains apologetic about it. Uses this as Fartillery in the flying challenge.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: The huge guy to Violet's tiny girl, a platonic example.
  • The Load: He performed the worst during the obstacle course, despite being given the first part of the course that was one of the easiest. This poor performance was ultimately the reason his team decided to vote him off first, because his performance cost them the challenge and could cost them any future physical challenges if he stays.
  • Nice Guy: Doesn't take his elimination personally and his team gives him their normal marshmallows upon his elimination.
  • The Pollyanna: His label this season is the happy-go-lucky and he has a contagiously happy attitude.
  • Spanner in the Works: Fractures a 2:1 Rat Majority by his presence.

Sierra, The Crazed Superfan

Placing: 14th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots

Staci, The Chatterbox

Placing: 18th (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats
  • Abled in the Adaptation: A downplayed example, but upon her elimination she avoids touching the Marshmallow of Toxic Loserdom, and thus avoids having Ominous Hair Loss from the radiation.
  • Character Exaggeration: While still prone to lying, her lies often include too many greats for it to be a plausible truth.
  • Compulsive Liar: Most of what comes out of her mouth is a lie.
  • Fan of the Underdog: Favorite camper from the previous season was Cameron.
  • In Spite of a Nail: She is still the first contestant eliminated in Revenge due to her annoying everyone with her lies.
  • The Load: Does nothing except talk during the first challenge.
  • Motor Mouth: She goes on long monologues that are just about her various lies about her relatives.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: The first eliminated contestant.

Tyler, The Clumsy Jock

Placing: 16th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots
  • A Birthday, Not a Break: He is voted out on his birthday, though it is downplayed since he still had fun in the competition and is satisfied that he got to hook up with Lindsay.
  • Decoy Protagonist: Is involved with the main romance plot of the season but is the first of his showmance to be eliminated.
  • Dumb Jock: Aware he comes off as this and knows that he's not that smart.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Despite his early elimination, he still claims he had fun and got Lindsay as a girlfriend, who then went on to win the competition instead.
  • The Klutz: Bumps into the mirror and causes the collapse of the Maggot's fort before the mirror can finish melting the Rat's fort.
  • The Load: Pushes Jaiden into the end during the final obstacle of episode 3 and accidentally melts his own team's ice fortress in the following episode due to accidentally bumping into B's giant mirror.
  • The Lost Lenore: His elimination is what causes Lindsay to start thinking critically about the game.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Already a bit of a dumb jock, but wants to play it up a little more.

Revenge of the Island fan characters

Left to Right note

Carmen, The Gold Digger

Placing: 15th (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats, Lethal Costumers
  • Ambiguously Bi: Flirts openly with the boys on her team but appreciates Violet's butt and calls Jaiden beautiful.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: She finds Mike attractive in his Vito personality.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Seems to want to control and manipulate others living in their cabin. Unfortunately for her, nobody really takes her seriously as a threat, and she is voted out in the pre-merge before her idea for an "all girls alliance" in the post-merge can get off the ground.
Stew Dissent in the other team. Total Drama Villany 101. Such a good strategy.
  • Celebrity Resemblance: Noted as looking like "Blaineley from that one show" in Quentin's interview and Lindsay says she looks like "Mildew".
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Causes problems in team harmony and sets herself up to be a villain of the season but is the 5th person voted out.
  • Do Not Go Gentle: After seeing that Quentin and DJ reneged on their deal she decides to play what she thinks is an idol and send Jo home with her and Jaiden's vote. The idol, however, is a fake, and Carmen goes home anyway.
  • Eating the Eye Candy: Openly does this to the guys on her team but when Vito makes an appearance she comments on how attractive Mike suddenly is.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: She says she is many things, but a homewrecker is not one of them, refusing to flirt with someone who is already taken.
  • Gold Digger
  • Ignore the Fanservice: Rather flirtatious and seems to think that she's garnered the attention of several male competitors but in reality they are ignoring her. Ironically, Lightning petitions that she should be eliminated for the opposite reason, since she wasted time making out with Mike (actually Vito) during a challenge and he reasons she must have distracted him with her "Sha-Boobies", and if she can do that to him than she can potentially do it to any other guy on the team.
  • The Tease
  • Those Two Girls: Has this dynamic with Jaiden and is in the making of one with Violet before she goes home as well.
  • Sir Swears Alot: A gender flipped version who uses a lot of foreign cusswords.
  • Spicy Latina: Specifically from Spain.
  • The Vamp: Appears to be her strategies during the pre interviews.
  • Woman Scorned: Her interview has her be rather bitter towards her ex, Don.

Carson, The Athletic Nerd

Placing: 10th (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots, Screaming Gaffers
  • Clark Kent Outfit: Apparently has an impressive set of toned abs that Sierra loves to point out.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: Contributes to the cannibalization of his own team and cuts off his allies at a whim but is the final pre-merge boot.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Asks a question during the reunion episode.
  • Endearingly Dorky: Sierra thinks so.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Gets Lindsay and Tyler to vote for Sierra when Tyler is the main target.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Or at least Sierra thinks so, who outright breaks the In-Universe fourth wall demanding this entry be added for him.
  • Geek Physiques: The skinny variety, but is a track and field nerd so he has athleticism on his side.
  • Genre Savvy: Watches a lot of reality tv.
  • Legacy Character: Ryan's best friend from their hometown.
  • Love-Interest Traitor: Is Sierra's love interest and helps orchestrate her blindside.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: And to make sure he makes the most of it, he plans to learn from his lessons from his first time around.
  • Otaku: It's in the name
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Finds a peculiarly shaped rock during the ice fort challenge and hides it in the outhouse confessional, which Carmen finds and uses to try to sway DJ and Quentin to her side. When it ultimately fails Carson can accurately claim that Carmen is one of his (unwitting) victims.
    Carson: IT WAS A FAKE?!
  • Shirtless Scene: Gets one in the main male bathroom in the rich cabin, something Sierra eagerly points out.

Jaiden, The Optimist

Placing: 13th (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats, Screaming Gaffers
  • Celebrity Survivor: A small version but she mentions running a successful blog.
  • Eating the Eye Candy: looks at Lightning rather appreciatively.
  • Graceful Loser: Despite losing the tiebreaker to Lightning, she says she is glad she made a friend like him and hopes that he and Gwen make it to the end.
  • Keet
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Her goal this time around, also has the goal of standing out more from the crowd.
  • Nice Girl: Gets along nicely with everyone to the point of Playing Both Sides with the rats.
  • The Pollyanna: She sees the best in people and sees something good in the preseason.
  • Ship Tease: Has this with Lightning.
  • Those Two Girls: Forms this with Carmen on her team and is noticeably devastated when Carmen goes home.

Quentin, The Military Brat

Placing: 6th (Revenge)
Team: Toxic Rats
  • Advantage Ball: Winds up finding the Hidden Chris Idol and uses it to stay another round to eliminate Gwen.
  • All Gays Love Theater: One of his secrets revealed had something to do with the Major General Song which has to deal with this.
  • Break the Haughty: Part of his spiral into being a Sore Loser by the time he's eliminated is him becoming less stoic and more emotionally driven.
  • But Not Too Foreign: As per Word of God, he's 1/8th Korean.
  • The Comically Serious
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Happens during episode 6's aquatic challenge when he drolls on and on about how Mike is actually rather toned, how Lightning is pretty well built, and compliments DJ on his physique.
Quentin: What was I saying again?
  • Distressed Dude: Does NOT do well in dwindling party situations and is often the first one captured in those situations. DJ also has to save him when Fang abducts him during the challenge.
  • Gay Best Friend: Not by mannerism but Lightning singles him out as Lindsay's.
  • Irrational Hatred: Quentin finds Owen returning in the merge to be massively "unfair", since he already lost and was voted out so early, and spends most of his time plotting to vote him out again. This ultimately gets him eliminated when everyone else gets tired of him saying he wants Owen out, and they choose to eliminate him instead.
  • It's Personal: He holds a grudge against Jo during the merge for getting DJ, who was his friend and (one-sided) crush eliminated. So, as soon as Jo is vulnerable during the merge Quentin gets his allies to vote her out, with others acknowledging this is more of a personal vote than a strategic one.
  • Military Brat
  • Not So Above It All: Notably excited when Chris reveals the mutant gull cannon and only gives up his chance of using it to keep the peace between Jo and Lightning.
  • Not So Stoic: After the fallout from being rejected by DJ causes DJ to be eliminated he's shouting loudly and has to be consoled by DJ and leaves tears in DJ's shirt for the final goodbye.
  • Sore Loser: He throws a fit at everyone upon his elimination for choosing to keep Owen over him. He bitterly tells Owen he isn't voting for him if he makes it to the finale and calls everyone "fuckfaces" before leaving.
  • The Starscream: Beginning in episode 6 he tries to supplant Jo as the leader by taking charge in a lot of the decisions, using the Drill Sergeant Nasty skills he learned from his father. Jo ends up being swapped to the Maggots by the end, which leaves Quentin unopposed as the new leader of the Rats.
  • The Stoic
  • Straight Gay: He shows minimal signs of any stereotypical gay attributes, with him actually needing to admit to others that he is gay when they accuse him of flirting with some of the girls.
  • Straight Man: Ironically enough.
  • Those Two Guys: DJ is his number one.
  • Token Minority: The only American in Revenge of the Island, and even then he's only half american. note
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: After the first merge challenge, he asks out DJ on a date, hoping they can start a relationship. DJ politely declines, explaining he doesn't swing that way and explains he still wants to be friends but just in a "bro" way rather than a romantic way. Quentin accepts this, but while trying to deal with his heartbreak he accidentally gives an opening for Jo to blindside DJ, due to her lying to everyone that DJ harshly rejected Quentin and broke his heart.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Winds up brawling with Jo and Heather as well as Lightning and Mike for the case to win immunity, though the exact specifics of the fight aren't given.

Violet, The Gamer Girl

Placing: 3rd (Revenge)
Team: Mutant Maggots
  • All-Loving Hero: Tries to get along with everyone in the house, even those on the other teams, citing that everyone has something worth providing.
  • Conversational Troping
  • Early-Bird Cameo: She provides the first question for the reunion episode.
  • Gamer Chick
  • Genre Savvy: She is well versed in video game strategies, and uses her knowledge of them to categorize the other contestants and how to win them over better.
  • Good Is Not Soft: She is pretty friendly overall, but when she realizes that Tyler and Lindsay have become a couple, she agrees that one of them needs to be voted off, agreeing with what Heather said in the previous season that being boyfriend/girlfriend is just another term for an unbreakable alliance. She's also unhesitant in voting out the only other maggot when prompted to.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: Tiny girl to Owen's huge guy.
  • I Fight for the Strongest Side!: Flips on the original Maggots by voting out Dawn to secure her place with Jo and the Rats and to ensure her girl's alliance gets off the ground. She also votes out Jo when the time is right.
  • I'm Not Here to Make Friends: Downplayed; she says in a confessional that she didn't join the competition to make friends, but ended up making them along the way as part of her strategy. However, she still prioritizes the money first and is willing to break a few promises to get ahead, like breaking her promise not to vote for Jo.
  • Last of Her Kind: The only contestant to remain on the Mutant Maggots through the swap and make it to the merge.
  • Nice Girl: Wants to weaponize this at first.
  • One of Us: At the very least is aware of the common video game and reality tv tropes, namedropping Ice Queen and Chekhov's Arsenal tropes.
  • Psychotic Smirk: She has an uncharacteristic evil grin at the thought of getting to use the mutant gull cannon to shoot the other team.
  • Straw Feminist: Downplayed but she wants to have an all girl's alliance to get to the end, as of now she wants to include Jo, Gwen, and Lindsay. But she eliminated Dawn.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Once punched a little girl just to get a Jigglypuff plush.

     Pahkitew Island Teams

Tropes Applying to Both Teams

  • Bilingual Bonus: Subverted Trope. Their names were originally supposed to be The Soaring Eagles and the Ferocious Tigers like in canon but the teams were stuck with their canon wrong names.
  • Throw It In!: Both teams were supposed to have different names, but thanks to mistranslations and a general lack of desire to change anything on Chris' end, they are stuck with this name.

Pimâpotew Kinosewak (Floating Salmon)

Wâneyihtam Maskwak (Confused Bears)

     Pahkitew Island Canon Characters

Alejandro, The Handsome Devil

"Placing:" 1st (Pahkitew)
Team: Floating Salmon (Initial Team and First Swap), Confused Bears (Second Swap)

  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: When treated with a message from home from one of his older brothers, Carlos, the elder Burromuerto mentions that even Jose is rooting for him and Alejandro is touched by this gesture.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Alejandro's cunningness is well on display come the merge, and the jury rewards him for this in a 6-3 vote for the million dollars.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He is noticeably disturbed when Geoff asks him during a challenge if he thinks that Todd is dead since they haven't seen him since he flew off. Alejandro assures him he should be fine since nobody actually wants anyone to die on the show.
  • Latin Lover: Invokes this with his natural charisma.
  • Mr. Fanservice: Immediately attracts Amy, Alexis, and Bridgette when on the plane in the opening episode. He's also given several scenes where the prose describes his attributes in a nice light.

Amy, The Evil Twin

Placing: 12th (Pahkitew)
Team: Floating Salmon (Initial Team and First Swap), Confused Bear (Second Swap)

  • Alpha Bitch: Head of the cheerleading team and not really a nice person.
  • Break the Haughty: On top of her usual bad attitude, Amy is confident she is safe and will make it to the merge thanks to the "immunity idol" she found. During the final pre-merge elimination ceremony, she discovers that her "idol" is fake and is unanimously voted off by her entire team. To further rub salt in, Dakota points out that statistically speaking her sister Sammy did better than her.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Blows up on Ezekiel with a scathing "The Reason You Suck" Speech because of his sexism.
Amy: Homeschooled alpha male wannabe socially inept worse than Samey blowhard who is stuck in the backwater of a swamp that's been covered in irradiated toxic waste? Yeah [...] I'm not going to let some chauvinistic, paunchy, pale, vampire living in the shadow of the cool kids when any popular kid of the correct caliber would dump them in the garbage tell me otherwise.
  • Last of Her Kind: The last member of the contestants who debuted on Pahkitew Island to be eliminated on Blended Pahkitew Island.

Anne Maria, The Jersey Girl

Placing: 18th (Pahkitew), 23rd (Action)
Team: Floating Salmon (Initial Team and First Swap), Killer Grips

  • Blood Knight: When chosen as a helper she is very eager to inflict pain onto Alejandro.
  • Hidden Depths: Pretty quickly cues into the alliance Amy and Alejandro set up together.
  • Joisey: She's loud and tan just like in canon.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Her main goal in the second season is to make it further. This ends up subverted when she is the first voted off her team and comes in just one place above last, but she at least made a friend in Raihan.

Bridgette, The Surfer Chick

Placing: 5th (Pahkitew)
Team: Floating Salmon (Initial Team and Second Swap), Confused Bears (First Swap)

  • Graceful Loser: After she is eliminated in the Final 5 she takes it well, assuring her friend Alexis she doesn't blame her for voting for her, shares a goodbye kiss with Geoff, and says she is actually glad she was idol'd out of the game instead of being backstabbed.
  • Hates Being Alone: Retains her fear of the forest, which she mentions when helping Sadie.
  • Nice Girl: Stands out in this regard by helping Sadie find her way back into the camp.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: The only one aware that Sugar found the idol.
  • Ship Tease: She keeps her attraction to Geoff as from canon, but are separated by teams for most of the pre-merge. Once they are finally on the same team they go on a date together and agree to become an Official Couple after the game is over.

Cody, The Geek

Placing: 7th (Pahkitew)
Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team and Second Swap), Floating Salmon (First Swap)

  • Be Careful What You Wish For: Going into the merge, he gets frustrated over how he has been to all but one elimination ceremony and rants about his lack of victories in challenges. He ends up improving in the merge and is the first camper of the season to win two individual immunities. However, this paints a target on his back and gets others to target him for being successful in challenges.
  • Butt-Monkey: In terms of attending elimination ceremonies, he has attended the most without being voted out.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Enamored with Alexis, to the point of getting knocked out by tennis balls.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Also a hopeless romantic, but takes noticeable pause when he sees Rodney similarly striking out with the girls.
  • Rage Breaking Point: Hits his when in a confessional he rants that he's been the least immune of the campers on PI up to that point and has attended all of the elimination ceremonies but one.
  • Sanity Slippage: Played for Laughs when he hits his Rage Breaking Point after his team loses the last challenge before the merge. He goes on a long-winded rant in the confessional about how he has attended all but one elimination ceremony this season while yelling loudly, to the point every camper outside the confessional eventually back away and break off. But it turns out he just needed to get some frustrations off his chest.
  • Those Two Guys: With Harold, a fellow geek.

Eva, The Powerlifter

Placing: 11th (Pahkitew)
Team: Floating Salmon (Initial Team), Confused Bears (First and Second Swap)

  • Hates Being Touched: When Anne Maria guides her by the shoulders, she mentions she doesn't like being touched.
  • Not Distracted by the Sexy: Downplayed; she does find Alejandro handsome and attractive, but tells herself to focus on the game first and that she can flirt with him afterwards.
  • Not So Above It All: Does agree that Laine is attractive, and sympathizes with Amy's sentiments about Ezekiel even if she wouldn't say all that out loud.
  • Odd Friendship: Bonds with the nerdy and pudgy Sam when the latter asks her about her purpose. She also finds herself making friends with Bridgette, who she had conflict with in canon, and the meek mapmaker Todd.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: She gives one to Roman after she is eliminated. When he mocks her for thinking she could get him out, she calls him a loser who makes excuses for everything while foolishly thinking he's a good player, and if he somehow makes it to the end she promises he'll lose with a unanimous vote against him.

Ezekiel, The Homeschooled

Placing: 16th (Pahkitew)
Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team), Floating Salmon (First Swap)

  • Ascended Extra: Downplayed, but he manages to last a few rounds and is the fifth person eliminated instead of being the first person eliminated.
  • Saying Too Much: He ends up bringing his sexist views to light due to going into too much detail when answering his Truth question during a challenge, angering everyone and resulting in his elimination.
  • Stay in the Kitchen: Similar to canon, holds this attitude.

Geoff, The Party Animal

"Placing:" 3rd (Pahkitew)
Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team), Floating Salmon (First and Second Swap)

  • Lovable Jock: On the football team and has the physique to show for it but unlike Roman he can connect with about anyone on the team.
  • Meet Cute: Shares this with Bridgette even though they start out on opposite teams.
  • Nice Guy: Gets on well with many on the season, especially with Ezekiel.
  • Only Friend: He is Ezekiel's only real friend during the competition. Even when he finds out about his sexism he tries to help him see why those views are wrong, and when everyone else on their team is ready to vote him out for those sexist views he still petitions for Ezekiel to stay. He doesn't even vote for him when it becomes clear he is going to be the one leaving.
  • Ship Tease: He keeps his attraction to Bridgette as from canon, but are separated by teams for most of the pre-merge. Once they are finally on the same team they go on a date together and agree to become an Official Couple after the game is over.

Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team), Floating Salmon (First and Second Swap)

Leonard, The Larper

  • Hidden Depths: Seems to know more Spanish than he lets on when criticizing Topher's usage of El Spanish "-o".
  • Honor Before Reason: He and Sugar catch wind of the plan their team has to split the votes between them and have Sugar flush her idol. Sugar tries to play her idol on him to guarantee his safety, but he convinces her to use it on herself, ending with him getting eliminated.
  • Ship Tease: One half of the campfire couple with Sugar.

Rodney, The Hopeless Romantic

Placing: 20th (Pahkitew)
Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team)

  • Casanova Wannabe: He falls for a lot of girls and winds up with Sadie at the end of it, but clearly thinks he has better luck with the ladies.
  • Serial Romeo: He falls for any girl who so much as talks to him.

Sadie, The Attention Seeker

Placing: 19th (Pahkitew)
Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team)

  • A Death in the Limelight: When she's eliminated she winds up having the most screen time of her team.
  • Legacy Character: Katie's best friend, and she makes references to her in the first couple of episodes alone.

Sam, The Couch Potato

Placing: 15th (Pahkitew)
Team: Floating Salmon (Initial Team and First Swap)

Sugar, The Pageant Queen

Placing: 14th (Pahkitew)
Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team and Both Swaps), Killer Grips

  • Adaptational Intelligence: She reveals during Leonard's elimination that she knew he was only role playing as a wizard and was simply playing along since she found it fun. In canon she never shows any acknowledgment that Leonard isn't a real wizard.
  • Advantage Ball: Finds the idol in the very first episode. It ends up subverted when her team splits the votes to have her flush the idol, and she ends up wasting it on herself when it wasn't needed.
  • Demoted to Extra: She was the final antagonist of the canon Pahkitew season, while here she is out before the merge.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: Why she is on Total Blended Action
  • Ship Tease: Is the campfire couple with Leonard.

  • Related in the Adaptation: It is revealed his dad is Don, the host of The Ridonculous Race, whereas no relation between them was stated in canon.

Alexis, The Accidental Mastermind

"Placing:" 2nd (Pahkitew)

  • Just Friends: Her ultimate fate with Cody, but he does give her his vote in the end.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Drew considers her very attractive and has earned the attention of (in decreasing order) Cody, Rodney, and Sam.
  • Nice Girl

Drew, The Eccentric Artist

Placing: 8th (Pahkitew)
Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team), Floating Salmon (Second Swap)

  • Nice Girl

Team: Confused Bears (Initial Team)

  • Nice Guy

Roman, The Popular Bully

Placing: 9th (Pahkitew)

  • Even Evil Has Standards: Despite being a bully and Jerk Jock, he says he doesn't actually want anyone to die in the competition, since that would ruin all the fun.
  • Graceful Loser: Surprisingly, once he is finally eliminated in a unanimous vote he takes it well, saying he understands mid merge is where the threats like him are taken out, and yelling in excitement as he is shot out of the cannon.
  • Handsome Lech: A typical good looking All American figure despite being in Canada, but most of the cast are turned off by his personality and cockiness.
  • Jerk Jock
  • Small Name, Big Ego: He constantly thinks he is the best player in the competition, while making excuses and blaming others when things go wrong for him, and barley putting any strategy into his game, believing everyone will blindingly vote with him. He even manages to be arrogant even when he is being a Graceful Loser, believing he was unanimously voted off because everyone recognized he was the biggest threat in the game, when really everyone was just sick of having him around and didn't want to put up with him anymore.
  • Sore Loser: Snaps at Eva and Harold when he loses an arm-wrestling match to Eva with Harold's interruption. He continues to antagonize Eva throughout the season because of this.

  • Butt-Monkey: Once Cody leaves he's usually the main target of the slapstick comedy.

  • Tiny Schoolboy: Approximately the same height as Cody and described by Roman and Amy as a Twink.

Lauren, Scary Girl

"Placing:" 24th (Action)
"Team:" Lethal Costumers

  • Ax-Crazy: She's just as psychotic as in canon, focusing more on harming others, including her own team, than actually doing the challenge. This made her a unanimous first boot.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Defied; she is officially voted out in the first elimination ceremony, but Chris says in a confessional afterwards if she hadn't been she would have been expelled from the game anyway due to her antics, admitting she was way more freaky than they expected from her interview.

Mister Howard Milton

  • Benevolent Boss: At the very least to Staci's mom, even when firing her he still allows her to retain the benefits.
  • Descended Creator: After Chris breaks apart the marshmallow, he's forced to introduce the next episode and moderate the re-joining ceremony.
  • Good Parents: While rather hard at work, he does love his family and is undoubtedly proud that Dakota has a good work ethic.
  • Fiction 500: He and Dakota are part of it.
  • The Man Behind the Man: It's revealed that Mister Milton does own The Drama Network, which is established as having started because of Total Drama.
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: How he gets Dakota back in an interning capacity.

The Interns

Staci's Mom

  • Good Parents: The worst she does is not disclose her relation to the contestants, thus giving Staci inequal access to a loved one. While she is eliminated
  • Strong Family Resemblance: To her daughter, Staci.

     Other Non-Human Characters

Mr.Coconut

The Bear

  • Abhorrent Admirer: Has a noted crush on Zoey after she gets him over a failed relationship.
  • Bears Are Bad News: To Zoey and several other contestants assuming the same bear is the bear who appears in future episodes.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: Appears twice after his first appearance in Phobia Factor to prevent Zoey from winning immunity.

The Wooly Beavers

  • Misplaced Wildlife: On a small scale, most wooly beavers were found on Boney Island, but one has taken up temporary residence in the mines.
  • Shipper on Deck: For some reason one ships Ryan and Dakota.
  • Ship-to-Ship Combat: The shipper mistakes Carson's placating words as an invitation to engage in this, because Carson and Ryan is the competing ship with Ryan and Dakota.

Fang

  • Adaptational Nice Guy: In canon he is just a wild beast that serves as an occasional antagonist to the competitors, with Scott in particular being his favorite victim due to him having his missing shark tooth. Here however, Fang is a Punch-Clock Villain that has a contract with the show where it is his job to occasionally make things harder for the campers, but doesn't endanger their lives like he was willing to in canon. His main role during the blimp challenge is even to ensure that the campers don't get hurt from falling.
  • The Cameo: On Pahkitew Island splitting a Shark-Cuterie board with his dolphin partner and two wooly beavers.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: After his debut appearance he seems content to hear out Carmen's rationalizations and he's twice seen playing cards with his fellow mutated fauna.
  • Threatening Shark: Plays this role every so often and comes the closest when he drags Quentin under the water.

Sasquatchanakwa

  • Bigfoot, Sasquatch, and Yeti
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Defied Carson tries describing him when the maggots decide to use him as a model only to be chased away but Chris interferes because of the lawyers.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: Didn't show up in the first season because of contractual obligations and his Early-Bird Cameo was cut off by several of Chris' confessionals.
  • Sitcom Arch-Nemesis: To Dave in the brief time he has him captured. Credit where credit is due, Dave doesn't take his kidnapping lightly, but he still gets tied up over a radioactive pit by the sasquatch.
