    Izuku Midoriya
The Protagonist of the story. As a man, everyone believed him to be Quirkless, but that never restrained his hopes of being a Hero. A chance meeting with All Might leads the heroine to offer him One for All, the Quirk that gives her her power. However, during training, Izuku begins to physically develop at an abnormally high rate, leading to the discovery that he has a Quirk that allows him to control all of his hormonal processes. Armed with Total Command and One for All, he sets out to become the first male Pro Hero in the world.
  • Affectionate Nickname: "Zuku" and called such by Mei.
  • And I Must Scream: When he gets his neck snapped by the Anti-All Might Nomu, he finds himself trapped in his body and unable to do anything as he slowly dies.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: One of his pre-All Might abilities that he has only improved with time.
  • Back from the Dead: He was clinically dead for several minutes, and only a lucky sparking of his Quirk saved him.
  • Best Friend: Becomes Mei's best friend after spending most of a year bonding.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He's a really Nice Guy who forgives his former best friend for her bullying, cooks for his classmates and offers them a shoulder to cry on if they need it. Anger him... and you will find what a peak human with control over all his hormones and armed with the most powerful Quirk in the world can do to you.
  • Big Damn Heroes: He does this during the USJ arc (coming Back from the Dead to do so) and to save Tomoya Iida from Stain the Hero Killer.
  • Big Eater: A consequence of Total Command, as he needs more energy and nutrients to fuel his body changes. He has to ask for a job at UA to pay for it (fortunately, when he joins as a student he gets a scholarship that funds his food needs).
  • Bullet Time: His flow state slows down his perception by shutting off non-vital functions of his brain.
  • Charles Atlas Superpower: What most people assume he has before they learn he has a Quirk, as men don't have Quirks.
  • Chick Magnet: Being the first known male with a Quirk in the world was bad enough, but when you add in a well-toned body, a sharp mind and the nicest personality you could find, the resulting package is a very attractive guy that women of all ages end up lusting for.
  • Emotion Bomb: A secondary power picked up from One for All. Izuku's "lightning" produced by One for All can transfer his thoughts and feelings to those hit by it.
  • Gag Penis: Mei estimates his size and her fellow girlfriends are briefly shocked that Mei could fit it in her.
  • Genius Bruiser: He's scary smart when it comes down to Quirks, he's close to the top academically and can beat just about anyone he faces.
  • Gentle Giant: He's 195 centimeters and 150 kilograms of bone, muscle, neurons and pure heart.
  • Good Thing You Can Heal: While his Healing Factor is not strong enough to heal things instantly, given time he will recover from any injury. Including the neurons that died during his clinical death.
  • Healing Factor: His hormonal control allows him to store stem cells and heal very quickly.
  • Hearing Voices: After the dead part of his brain recovers, he begins to hear a voice. It turns out to be Nana Shimura, All Might's mentor and a previous holder of One for All.
  • Heart Is an Awesome Power: Total mastery of his hormonal processes allows Izuku to hit a quick growth spurt, experience great muscular strengthening and make his bones much more durable than the norm. Control over his metabolism allows him to change his body temperature at will, and he is capable of picking up skills with great efficiency.
  • Heroic BSoD: Partially Played for Laughs when Momo confesses that she likes him. As his partially dead brain is overworked trying to do the job of a full brain, it decides to shut down with the spike the revelation causes.
  • Hope Bringer: Literally. He can use his One for All lightning to instill hope in the people it hits - and he uses it during the USJ arc to bring his classmates back from the despair caused by his clinical death.
  • Hunk: He's like Captain America without having to undergo the same experiment.
  • Insecure Love Interest: Has a hard time believing that his girlfriends are romantically attracted to him at first.
  • Master of Your Domain: Izuku's own Quirk. With it comes a Swiss-Army Superpower of Super-Strength, Super-Senses, Healing Factor, and various others.
  • Mental World: Nana can create one of Musutafu in his head, from when she was still alive.
  • Mind Hive: After his brain damage heals he becomes this, playing host to one of the former wielders of One for All, Nana Shimura, who died decades earlier, but was preserved by One for All.
  • Mr. Fanservice: The moment he started to use Total Command to grow up, he became this.
  • No-Sell: Midnight's Somnambulist only works once on Izuku, after that he becomes immune.
  • One Person, One Power: Subverted with Izuku, as he had Total Command before he received One for All which, if going by canon, will also give Izuku access to the Quirks of those who held One for All before him.
  • Outside-the-Box Tactic: He uses his strategic ability and encyclopedic knowledge of Quirks to pull off quite a few Crazy Enough to Work tricks. His classmates soon begin to learn to do the same by imitating him.
  • Polyamory: He ends up having at least four girlfriends, with the implication that more will join in.
  • Power Limiter: An unconscious one set by himself. Without a pure determination to be a hero, Total Command didn't work at full efficiency, mostly just used to heal minor injuries. After he reaffirms his determination, it becomes so much more.
  • Raging Stiffie: Izuku gets one waking up in a bed full of his classmates after the events at the USJ. Initially, it's Played for Laughs, but then he realizes that he should not be getting one at all thanks to Total Command. Which leads to the discovery of his partial brain death.
  • Required Secondary Powers: Thanks to Total Command increasing the durability of his bones and muscles, Izuku can use One for All without shattering his body, though he does suffer dislocated arms and extremely strained muscles if he goes full power for too long.
  • Selective Obliviousness: Total Command allows him to do this at will, used mostly when feels embarrassed about a subject and wants to retreat from the conversation.
  • Sex God: All of his experiences so far have been happy and pleasurable, and with Nana in his head to help ease the awkwardness of the Their First Time for his partners, it has been for them as well.
  • Superheroes Wear Tights: The base of his hero costume is a skin-tight wetsuit, which Mei adamantly refuses to change.
  • Superpower Lottery: Total Command is the basis of most of his abilities. One for All just boosts all of them beyond human physical peak.
  • Super-Senses: Touch. His bio-sonar allows him to "see" things he's touching with his bare skin if he can get enough feedback from vibrations.
  • Super-Speed: While not to the level of a speedster like Iida, he can sprint around 25 meters a second, or 55 miles per hour. He can use One for All to become even faster.
  • Super-Strength: No exact amounts have been specified, but he can do numerous one-armed push-ups with a robot made of steel larger than himself on his back. He can also supplement his strength with One for All, multiplying it many times over.
  • Super-Toughness: His bones and musculature are much denser than a human without a Quirk in that area can achieve. Recovery Girl says that to break a bone it would require a steamroller.
  • Supreme Chef: After working with Lunch Rush, he picks up some serious cooking skills - enough that all his classmates love what he makes.
    • He can guess someone's favorite food (it has something to do with their Quirks, apparently). He's been able to do this since childhood, as mentioned by Katsumi.
  • Swiss-Army Weapon: Izuku's gauntlets. One of the other weapon forms is a chainsword. They're useful for not only punching as Mei crammed into them a variety of useful forms and non-combat applications.

    Mei Hatsume
The same pink-haired inventor from canon, only she meets Izuku much, much earlier.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: She built Mecha-Might in a marathonian, week-long, caffeine-powered session with only five hours of sleep. Somehow, she managed to make an almost human-like AI, gave it the ability to show emotions, taunt and encourage, a black box so it can keep its core protected and the ability to repair and rebuild itself.
  • Best Friend: Becomes Izuku's best friend after spending most of a year bonding.
  • Harem Seeker: When other girls express their romantic attraction for Izuku, she has no problem in sharing him. She may also be interested in said other girls for herself, too.
  • Heroic BSoD: After the USJ Battle, Mei starts to collapse mentally because she thinks she failed Izuku by not giving him what he needed. She throws herself into The Madness Place, risking her life as she tries to make something that may atone for her "failure". Izuku manages to make her snap out by showing her that he is still alive thanks to her inventions.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: The basis for her Harem Seeker ways. She knows that keeping Izuku all to herself would make him and the other girls that love him sad, which would also make her sad, so sharing him is perfect in her opinion.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: Izuku is her first real friend because nobody else could keep up her intellectually.
  • The Madness Place: When she has inspiration, she's pretty much concentrated only on her projects, ignoring anything else even if it is to her own detriment.
    • Her first time led to the creation of Mecha-Might after an entire week with no sleep.
    • Played for Drama when, after the USJ Battle, she falls into this out of depression because she thinks she has failed Izuku. It leads her to manipulate all the machinery in unsafe ways, risking her life.
  • Nerds Are Naïve: Mei is still the ditzy, Gadgeteer Genius she is in My Hero Academia. Her naivete regarding sex shows up after Momo confesses that she likes Izuku. Shocked by the confession, Izuku's overworked brain decides that he needs to shut down and he promptly faints face-first into Momo's chest. Mei stares at them and wonders if that's what sex is.
  • No Social Skills: Like canon, but Mei knows and at least once feels insecure about how her social skills negatively impact Izuku.
  • Oblivious to Love: Mei doesn't really understand what she feels about Izuku, even when she has her room at U.A. covered in his pictures. It takes almost losing him to make her truly realize her feelings.
  • Primal Fear: Mei is afraid of the dark - making Izuku's gift of a set of night-vision goggles very touching for her.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Mei is short and lean, but working in a workshop dragging heavy materials has given her deceptive strength.
  • Their First Time: Mei and Izuku's first time comes after a long day of building sexual arousal, and not talking to each other about it. Mei has an Erotic Dream on top of Izuku after they try to go to sleep and after being woken up by it they almost immediately start.

    Katsumi Bakugo
Izuku's childhood friend, as competitive and fiery-tempered as her canon counterpart, but her bullying is not as malicious and has an actual reason.
  • Anger Born of Worry: Katsumi's bullying and anger comes from her desire to drive Izuku away from becoming a hero and what she sees as an early death.
  • Berserk Button: Izuku getting seriously injured.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: Invoked by Minerva, but not actually true until the Sports Festival.
  • Genius Bruiser: She's a very smart lady who can send anything she fights flying away with an explosion.
  • I Hate Past Me: She hates everything she did to her best friend in the name of saving him from the risks of being a hero.
  • I'll Kill You!: Tells this to Noumu after Izuku 'dies'. While she doesn't get to actually do it at first, Izuku and her force Shigaraki to use her Decay touch on the monster, killing it.
  • Insecure Love Interest: After years of bullying Izuku, she feels like she doesn't deserve being in a relationship with him. It comes up after he hurts himself trying to give her a good fight in the Sports Festival as well.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: Izuku being the only one who could keep up intellectually with her is one of the reasons they're best friends as young children.
  • Not So Above It All: She steals Izuku's drawing of her from his notebook.
    • She fantasizes with Izuku as much as the other girls do, even if she denies it (at first).
  • Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Took it upon herself as a four-year-old to make sure that Izuku wouldn't try to become a hero by verbally and physically bullying him.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Before she decided to start bullying Izuku to drive him away from the idea of being a hero, she would go after anyone that mocked Izuku's dream.
  • When All You Have Is a Hammer…: The reason she chose to bully Izuku to push him away from trying to become a hero was because it was the only way she had learned to do this kind of thing.

    Mecha Might
An android with a powerful AI, Mecha Might was created by Mei, with the help of Izuku, to act as a sparring partner for him. His physical design is a mix of Izuku's and the female All Might's, creating something similar looking to that of the canon All Might. Mei isn't entirely sure how advanced his AI is, as she was extremely sleep deprived when she finished him.
  • Artificial Intelligence: It is so good that it's pretty much human-like.
  • Black Box: Even Mei herself is unaware of the specifics of his creation. She doesn't even remember adding a speaker to allow speech.
  • Bring It: He taunts Izuku when they spar.
  • Came Back Strong: After his first 'death' Mei rebuilds his body without the joint weaknesses of the first.
    • After his second 'death' he becomes even more sturdy.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: Mecha Might might be a snarky, disrespectful and intentionally intimidating being, but he shows genuine loyalty and affection to his mother and creator.
  • Robo Family: Refers to his creator Mei as "mother". After Mei and Izuku start going out, he starts calling Izuku "father".
  • Restraining Bolt: The only real restrictions on Mecha Might is that he has to listen to Mei's orders, he's forbidden from killing people, and he can't self-upgrade. And it's been implied by his actions that he can circumvent that last one.

    All Might
Izuku's mentor and second mother figure. The number one hero.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Found the one man on the planet with a Quirk as her successor. Her taking Izuku under her wing is also directly responsible for him discovering said Quirk.
  • Ship Tease: Is heavily implied, if not explicitly crushing on Inko. As of chapter 62, she has agreed to go on a date with Inko.

    Nozomi
The principal of UA.
  • The Chessmaster: At least in regards to Izuku's love life. It becomes clear after Izuku meets Ochako that she is trying to have him interact with as many women as possible, probably to bring about a generation of new powerful heroes. Or she's just bored and enjoys Izuku's reactions. Or both. Later, she lures Miruko to be at Gran Torino's building by arranging for her office to be fumigated and giving her info about strong villains, all to have her meet Izuku again as well as to entice her to possibly take on other student interns.
  • The Dreaded: She's this to her fellow pro-heroes for not unfounded reasons. During the UA Sports Festival, she pulled at least one scheme to get Izuku to show off what he can do by interfering with the points distribution for the obstacle course and forcing him to be by himself when everyone else entered teams of two and it leaves UA Graduates shivering in fear at the reminder of the kind of things she pulled when they were students. Endeavor herself is left shaking the moment she hears her voice.
  • The Gadfly: One of her many joys in life is to mess with the lives of everyone around her.

    Nemuri Kayama
Otherwise known as the R-Rated Hero: Midnight. Her personality in Total Command has her canon dominatrix personality be more of a character she plays, most of the time.
  • Acting Out a Daydream: Nemuri thinks that when a half-naked Izuku crashes into her she's having a dream. Only after feeling him up and being restrained and "woken up" by Aizawa does she realize That Was Not a Dream.
  • Adaptation Personality Change: Her dominatrix personality is more a mask she plays and she's significantly less aggressive about relationships when not in her dominatrix personality, especially when it comes to Izuku.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Her relationship with Izuku is made romantic and significantly closer than in canon.
  • Age Lift: Different from the majority of the characters, instead of being aged-up Nemuri is aged-down to 25 from 31, turning 26 at some point after Izuku begins to work at U.A.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: Won't confess her feelings for Izuku because of their age gap of 8 years.
  • Eating the Eye Candy: She really likes to watch Izuku when the opportunity presents itself.
  • Erotic Dream: Has one involving Izuku, interrupted by her alarm.
  • Teacher/Student Romance: She pines for Izuku, and Izuku has some feelings for her, but holds off on trying to start a relationship. Despite there being no school policy against having a relationship with a student, as she is reminded by Nozomi.
  • Lap Pillow: Has given two to Izuku. The first by accident, when Izuku falls asleep on her shoulder and her moving displaces him to her lap, while the second is very much deliberate.

    Nana Shimura
The gestalt consciousness of One for All, formed from the memories of prior holders, and taking the form and name of Nana Shimura. Appears as a "ghost" inhabiting Izuku's brain during the Sports Festival.
  • The Gadfly: Sometimes, she uses her limited control over Izuku's body to prank him, such as activating his reflexive blushing.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: She usually teases Izuku in order to get him to sleep with his girlfriends. Or other women. Once, she even tried to convince him to have sex with Endeavor.
  • Mind Hive: Shares Izuku's body with him, and has limited control over it, allowing her to move body parts and activate Total Command independently of Izuku.
  • The Tease: Nana greatly enjoys teasing Izuku, making comments that embarrass him.

    Saiko Intelli
An anime-only character originally from the Provisional License Exam arc, in Total Command she sees Izuku save Katsumi and draws inspiration from the man who threw himself into danger without a Quirk.
  • Adaptational Heroism: She is much more heroic than her anime canon counterpart. Then again, being in U.A. instead of Seiai may have prompted this change.
  • Genius Bruiser: She was able to pass the U.A. Entrance Exam, which requires being quite smart and a good fighter.
  • Jumped at the Call: She seemed to be bound for Seiai Academy - until she saw Izuku saving Katsumi and was inspired to join U.A. instead.
  • Super-Intelligence: She's probably one of the smartest students in U.A., especially when using her Quirk.
  • Tea Is Classy: Her favorite drink, which she uses to power her Quirk, IQ. In the Total Chat spin-off, she mentions getting Yorkshire Gold tea to think through the possibility of a conspiracy surrounding Izuku.

    All for One
The most terrifying villain in Japan, she has plagued the nation since the beginning of the Quirk Era. The Arch-Enemy of the One for All Torchbearers, she was soundly defeated by All Might five years before the story begins, but she remains hidden while secretly training her protegé Tomura Shigaraki to kill All Might.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: She did not know that her brother had a Quirk, and did not expect that giving him the stockpile Quirk would cause both Quirks to merge, creating One for All.
  • Arch-Enemy: Of all of the One for All Torchbearers, and particularly All Might.
  • Create Your Own Hero: She forcefully gave her brother a stockpile Quirk. This gave rise to the One for All line of heroes.
  • Incest Subtext: In her description of how One for All came to be, All Might indicates that All for One loved her brother a little "too dearly", and that she may have had ulterior motives in giving him a Quirk.
