This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Correction, to WesternAnimation. The Lion King 1994.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.On Monster.FanWorks, change this entry—
- Pokémon: Storm Clouds: Masque, a Team Rocket agent who specializes in using hypnotic powers to strip Pokémon of their identities and make them his willing servants, is the true Big Bad. While initially presented as an ambiguous figure in the story and somewhat Affably Evil, he is gradually revealed to be a sick, twisted individual who enjoys the amount of control his mind games give him over others. He takes pleasure in stripping Pokémon of their identities and secretly manipulates all the higher-ups of Team Rocket for fun. He later breaks away from Team Rocket and attacks the hometown of the protagonists. While he does have an ulterior motive, it's still clear that he takes a disgusting amount of pleasure in terrorizing and slaughtering the residents of the small town with his Pokémon. When one of the protagonists call him out on his manipulations and accuses him of viewing humans as nothing more than tools, he responds thusly:
I don't see human beings as tools. That distinction is reserved for Pokémon. No, I see people more as...toys. There's a distinct difference, you see. A tool is used to accomplish something, while a toy is just there to be played with. I wasn't using Giovanni for anything other than my own amusement. And like any toy, he eventually stopped being entertaining—and when a toy bores you, there's only one thing to do: snap it in half and throw it in the garbage. That's it, end of story.
—to what it was originally—

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsNamespace capitalization fixes for
- FanFic.Arc Of The Revolution
- FanFic.A Rabbit Among Wolves
- FanFic.Service With A Smile
- FanFic.The Beacon Civil War
FanFic.Not This Time Fate needs fixing too, but it's got a custom title... what happens to custom titles when pages are moved with the page mover? I remember fixing Ms. Marvel (2014) went okay, and it doesn't seem to have been affected by the custom title bug.
Could we make The Woman Behind the Monsters a redirect to The Man Behind the Monsters. As part of a gender redirect.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Please replace the appropriate stuff at World Of Darkness with this indentation reformat:
- Bloodlines:
- Andrei the Tzimisce, as Archbishop of the L.A. branch of the Sabbat, takes the Sabbat's ideals of embracing their inner beast and renouncing their humanity to a whole new level. Andrei lives in a house that he has decorated with body parts in order to make it resemble his ancestral estate. The walls are coated with bloodied human flesh, and the furniture is made from bones and organs. Equal parts Evil Sorcerer and Mad Scientist, Andrei uses live people and vampires as materials in his construction of the monstrous abominations that serve as his soldiers. He then tests the killing capacity of these monsters by unleashing them on defenseless mortals, with his ultimate goal being to use them to wage war against the Camarilla. In particular he plans on wiping out the Nosferatu in order to "gouge out the eyes of the Camarilla". Also, should the player not send away their ghoul friend/lover, Heather Poe, then, upon reaching the Sabbat's lair, the player will arrive just in time see Heather brutally murdered by Andrei's goons.
- Bishop Vick is the egotistical leader of the plaguebearer cult, the Brotherhood of the Ninth Circle. Losing his faith in God and humanity after his Embrace, Vick formed the Brotherhood to spread a fatal, gruesome disease amongst prostitutes and the homeless, and anyone he deems "enlightened", with the intent of infecting vampire and human alike, utterly decimating the latter population. By the time the fledgling reaches Downtown LA, the cult's sicknesses have already reached levels high enough to bring the CDC in. His human followers residing in the crack house are shown to have been reduced to little more than rotting, mindless zombies.
- Bloodlines:
Also, please change New World of Darkness to Chronicles of Darkness
And new header:
In the nightmarish World of Darkness where countless horrors go bump in the night, a few of these ancient evils bring fear and loathing even to their fellow monsters.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsAt Anime & Manga, please change the according tree to this:
- PandoraHearts: In a dark world with a complex plot involving many master manipulators, the Big Bad Ensemble manage to stand out:
- Glen Baskerville, real name Oswald, is the mysterious leader of the Baskerville family. Having ordered the slaughter of the population of Sablier to spare them the horrifying fate within the Abyss centuries in the past, Glen returns in the present time by taking over the body of his reincarnation and assumes direct leadership over the Baskerville clan once again. Able to force skilled schemers like Rufus Barma and even the below-mentioned Jack Vessalius to the limits of their wits, Glen ultimately almost attains his goal of altering the timeline by killing his own sister to prevent the events of the series from occurring, only stopping when he realizes his own hypocrisies and hollowness of his goals hidden behind good intentions.
- Jack Vessalius is the true mastermind behind the events of the work. The illegitimate son of a noble, Jack fled from his home, living on the streets until he met a girl from the Baskerville family. Wanting to meet her again, Jack uses his noble family's name to be able to see her. When the Baskerville girl was sacrificed to the Abyss, Jack obsesses over seeing her again, deciding to throw the whole world into the corrupted Abyss to bring it to her. Causing the catastrophic Tragedy of Sablier, Jack blames the Baskerville and Nightray families while painting himself as the hero, going on to seek a chance to recreate it. Manipulating Oz's entire life to fulfill what Jack believes is the wish of his beloved, he is an ultimately Tragic Villain, even finally redeeming himself after accepting the errors of his own acts.
On Word Cruft, I've got something to replace:
- How did we miss ...: Some individuals are addicted to sticking How Did We Miss This One? or other Verbal Tic nonsense onto their examples like ugly verbal warts.
So Yeah was dewicked ages ago.
Have a minor request for Final Fantasy VII: Playable Characters under Aerith's section:
- Magical Native American / Space Jews: A fantasy themed combination of the two. For the former, her Cetra heritage gives her an innate connection to the planet and makes her more inclined to use magic than normal humans. For the latter, the Cetra were wandering nomads seeking "the Promised Land". Note also Aerith's curly hair.
The Space Jews and related text should probably be removed, as it's an overly literal reading of the trope when it's supposed to be about the use of stereotypes for fictional races and Aerith doesn't have any overt stereotypes surrounding her.
I'd rewrite it as:
- Magical Native American: Her Cetra heritage gives her an innate connection to the planet and makes her more inclined to use magic than normal humans. In addition, her people used to be wandering nomads seeking "the Promised Land".
Capitalization fix for a page in the wrong namespace: Creator.MONACA to Music.Monaca
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.At Comic Books please add this image at the top:
At Western Animation please cut the Kappa Mikey example.
Is the Receiver 2 YMMV page supposed to be locked? If not, can someone unlock it? And if it is, I want to add this edit.
Do Not Do This Cool Thing: The Desert Eagle is touted in-game as very impractical, and people who do use it are made fun of for being insecure and wanting to project power and wealth. However, in actual gameplay, the gun's bullets are incredibly strong, able to incapacitate killdones in a single shot most of the time, regardless of where you shoot them.
"You are what you choose to be." -Hogarth Hughes, The Iron Giant "You've got to fight to make a wish come true!" -Fantasy, The PagemastIt's not locked, it's just appearing that way due to a bug. If you see a page that looks locked, you can click the edit button to confirm whether it's actually locked or just glitched.
This is a minor thing, but I'm not sure if "ancient evils" is appropriate here, seeing how the page has at least three entries about people who aren't ancient evils and are instead regular mortals.
At Silent Hill, for Whately's entry, please change "set up" to "sets up", "As Douglas search for answers" to "As Douglas searches for answers", "as well have" to "as well as having", and "decided" to "decides".
Also, for Judge Margaret Holloway's entry on the same page, please change "the pact is broken" to "the pact was broken".
Edited by falcontalons on Apr 23rd 2020 at 8:14:08 AM
At Film on the Miller's Crossing entry please after Leo please put in "O'Bannon".
Requesting a lock for Full Motion Video, since the trope is currently in the process of being split into three separate tropes. A lock would prevent new examples from being added, which would make the process a lot easier.
dragonfire makes a point. Let's change "a few of these ancient evils bring fear..." to "a select few bring fear..."
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsA few requests related to Monster.Indiana Jones:
- Within that article, get rid of "Other Media" and relist the examples under that into new sections; add "Television" (below "Films"), and "Comics" (above "Literature").
- Regarding both the page quote from, and the CM entry for, The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles; change both mentions of "[the] series finale" (which is neither really accurate nor specific enough) to "[the episode] Masks of Evil".
- Add a link to this article on the Monster.Live Action Films index, because Indiana Jones is primarily a movie-based franchise, and people expect it to be categorized as such.
- And on Monster.Live Action TVM To Z, make sure that the entry for The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles has been updated to include the episode title I already mentioned.
- YMMV.The Last Jedi: Please change the Boring Invincible Hero wick ("A common criticism of Rey in The Force Awakens was that she came off as a Boring Invincible Hero...") to Invincible Hero, as TRS voted to cut that redirect.
1. Indiana Jones isn’t listed at Live-Action Films, nor is it supposed to be because there aren’t enough CMs from the films (at least around three are needed)
2. You’d have to check with the user known as Tropers/ACW regarding the other edits, since that troper is the one running affairs regarding this trope.
Humanity is defined by its absurdity, and I am no exception.New Post because my previous post's requests apparently completed...
