Okorafor wrote just such a short story, called "Spider the Artist". Then the events of the story itself proceed to happen.

Stitches then points out that "It's a poultice, ser, you're not supposed to drink it." (It's a Creator In-Joke about the fact that in Dragon Age: Origins, all medical items were consumed by the characters even if they were identified as poultices.)

Saves the Zoo contains an unused animation where if Putt-Putt eats ten or more servings of cotton candy from Chuck Wagon, he will vomit it out, and then Pep will hop out and lick it up.

Stoklasa was irritated during filming at Gilchrist's attempts to insert new scenes into the film, including one where his character has soda dumped on his head.

(She has repeatedly denied the Fanon that the Bee is Grace Chastity.) Fans randomly decided Ted's last name was "Porker", a Memetic Mutation from Fan Art of a Crossover between TGWDLM and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse making a Composite Character of Ted and Spider-Ham. Led to a further Memetic Mutation of Nick Lang repeatedly denying that this was his last name, and people repeatedly trying to guess his actual surname, which turned out to be Spankoffski.

YMMV.U Realms Live: And of course, the truly dedicated fan interested in the abundance of Mythology Gags and Shout Outs to Rob's earlier works in URealms Live has some serious research ahead of them, including the Minecraft-based Dwarves vs. Zombies and Lords of Minecraft games, and of course, the original Unforgotten Realms series. This is potentially hundreds of episodes of content, and goes even further if you're exploring the groups' own inside jokes from unrelated Buffalo Wizards content like their long-running Trouble in Terrorist Town series that the group focused on before URealms.

YMMV.Forum Fantasy: Hype Backlash: Back when this game was announced and released, it was hyped up by the users of the Chaos Theatre Forums, due to being a game that featured many of the users and featured plenty of references to various media. In hindsight, it's a standard RPG with simplistic dungeons, a high random encounter rate akin to old-school RPGs, and upon closer inspection is actually not very balanced, even if the Updated Re-release mitigated previous balancing issues. Players who have not been on the previously existing forum the game was based on will likely not get the inside jokes and jokes originating from the forum itself.

  58. Film.Passport To Pimlico: The radio announcement at the start mentions Latin music performed by "Les Norman and his Bethnal Green Bambinos". This is an in-joke referring to Ealing producer Leslie Norman. Bethnal Green was an unattractive area in the East End of London.

SuperMarioOdyssey.Tropes A To D: According to the tie-in artbook, one Nintendo employee tasked with designing the Ruined Dragon's appearance and boss fight would often say "ああー疲れた…" ("Ah, I'm so tired..."), due to the difficulty of their task. That quote would become that character's only line of dialogue, worded exactly the same as the designer's phrase — but from an outsider's perspective, you probably wouldn't be able to tell that there was even an In-Joke at all, given that it makes sense when it's said in-context.

Film.Star Trek First Contact: The Cameo: Robert Picardo as the Enterprise-E EMH and Ethan Phillips along with producer Brannon Braga in the holodeck club scene, with Phillips being the one stopping the drones and being disrupted by Borg laser scanners. Dwight Schultz as recurring character Reginald Barclay also appears. The Millennium Falcon can also (just barely) be seen zipping around the battle with the Borg cube as a Creator In-Joke on the part of Industrial Light & Magic.
  61. Fanfic.Total Drama Do Over: Inside jokes and self-indulgent memes often appear in the fanfiction, especially in the extra episode where Vanessa, Anne Maria and Mama DJ go to the mall and in the alternate ending for Island, both of which feature references to the author's friends.
  62. Recap.Angel S 04 E 10 Awakening: Angel repeats Joss Whedon's famous saying about giving people what they need, as opposed to what they want.
  63. Pantheon.Speech A To M: Bedman’s High Priest is an Ascended Fanboy who loves gushing about his love for the hitman, even using his appearance to represent himself for the longest time. Bedman let him be High Priest thanks to ego-stroking though is waiting for when Fither gives his opinion on the Pantheon eventually.
  64. Film.Weekend At Bernies: The film's director Ted Kotcheff makes a couple of nods towards his involvement in the Rambo franchise, name-dropping the eponymous hero, and with the guy playing Lomax's gardener, who was also the main villain in the second Rambo film, wearing a very similar outfit.
  65. Film.Being There: When Chance watches The Thomas Crown Affair on TV. That movie was co-edited by the movie's director, Hal Ashby.

In both films, beyond the first billed being Daniel Craig, second billed (Chris Evans/Edward Norton) is the murderer, third billed (Ana de Armas/Janelle Monae) is arguably the true main character and driving force of the whole film, while the final billed actor (Christopher Plummer/Dave Bautista) is the victim.

A red-tailed hawk guard appears. Tigers in Endling sing prayers to the moon and stars before going to their deaths, which they prefer to captivity - very like the rituals Andalites perform in similar circumstances.
  78. Film.Matilda: Miss Honey named her doll 'Liccy Doll'. Roald Dahl's widow, who was a producer on the film, is called Liccy.

  82. Characters.Epithet Erased Supporting Characters: He's based on a Tee K.O. shirt that had a picture of farting cow captioned with the word "Stink" on it. Jello's boyfriend thought the shirt would look perfect for a "crappy background extra kid," to which Jello agreed.
  83. Recap.Buffy The Vampire Slayer S 6 E 16 Hells Bells: Rebecca Rand Kirshner reveals in her DVD commentary of this episode that Anya's reference to herself as a "sex poodle" was a reference to colleague Jane Espenson who had been using the name herself.

  90. AudioPlay.The Nistverse: A common joke made about MuseScript's OC is calling her a "Musetree" due to her green and brown color scheme. A lot of times when trees show up in The Color Goddess, the artist will sometimes include a note somewhere referring to them as Musetrees. This may have also influenced Nistee's "In a Nutshell" name, "Nistree." Additionally, the "In a Nutshell" video for The Color Goddess represents the part with Rainbow Dash lifting a tree to test out her powers by having her instead lift Muse's OC, who shouts "Hey, put me down, I am not a tree!"

Trivia.Mulaney: Development Gag: When Macaulay Culkin backs out of the Christmas production in It's a Wonderful Home Alone, John steps up and says he'll do the part, he'll play Culkin in a blonde wig shot only from the back and they'll pretend it's him. This is exactly what appears to have happened in the three or so frames "Culkin" was visible towards the beginning of the episode. This also happens directly after the Creator In-Joke of Culkin backing out of Celebrity You Guessed It.

Fridge.Five Nights At Freddys Sister Location: The poor condition and age of the animatronics in previous games also suggests that any sort of vocal device they had to speak were either malfunctioning or damaged in some way. For example, Mangle in FNAF 2 has some sort of damaged vocal box that emits random static and radio noises. This hints that he/she/it/yes was able to speak at one point, but was rendered speechless after being damaged by children playing a little too rough. The animatronics in Sister Location appear to be in better condition, meaning their vocal devices are likely intact.
