• Breakup Breakout:
  • Steve Albini has remained a prominent figure in the underground music scene after Big Black's breakup, both as a musician and as a recording engineer who has worked with many notable alternative bands like Nirvana, The Pixies, and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
  • Santiago even had one of his own. Right from the bat, he helped the famous Cynthia Plastercaster recover her body of work, and he was Touch and Go Records' lawyer in multiple cases.
• Creator Backlash: Albini deeply regrets writing "Jordan, Minnesota." He did not find out until well afterwards that that the news reports he based it on were false, and is ashamed of himself for having taken them at face value.
• Creator In-Joke: Santiago Durango was credited in Songs About Fucking as Melvin Belli, who was a high-profile attorney with celebrity clients. He himself was about to go to law school at the time.
