From unused clickpoints and Creator In Jokes to scenes clearly made to blow off steam.Dog on a Stick has an unused kitchen environment taking place in a large sink. Saves the Zoo contains an unused animation where if Putt-Putt eats ten or more servings of cotton candy from Chuck Wagon, he will vomit it out, and then Pep will hop out and lick it up.
# WesternAnimation.LetsGoLuna: Several to Rocko's Modern Life.
# Film.GorillaInterrupted: The scene of Ray falling down the hill through brambles is a reference to another amateur film created by Jay Bauman in which Rich Evans falls down the same hill in a similar manner. The rather pointless scene where an alien pours Crystal Pepsi onto its face seems to be a covert dig at actor Garret Gilchrist. Stoklasa was irritated during filming at Gilchrist's attempts to insert new scenes into the film, including one where his character has soda dumped on his head.
# Fanfic.DeinWegIstMeinWeg: LiteraryAllusionTitle: The fic's name is an allusion to Maho's character song; Mein Weg und Dein Weg. # WesternAnimation.TheScoobyDooAndScrappyDooShow: "Yabba-Doo"; think about that for a second... Moreover, to avoid being too obvious, his catchphrase is "Yibbity-Yabbaty-Doo!".
# Anime.EurekaSevenHiEvolution: Several of the companies involved during the production have their logos scatted in the film, including Bandai Namco (on a billboard outside a building, and later on a truck's trailer), BONES (On the gun box in Eureka's suitcase and later on, a tanker truck that blows up), and CGI studios Studio GOONEYS (on a different truck's trailer during one of the many CGI vehicle sequences) and Directrain (on a bus).

# YMMV.TheGuyWhoDidntLikeMusicals: FanNickname: Robert Manion's One-Scene Wonder "Hot Chocolate Boy", who Nick Lang confirmed is the Hero of Another Story. Eventually revealed to be Peter Spankoffski. Lauren Lopez's unnamed teen girl character in the yellow dress is called "The Hatchetfield Bee", after a Creator In-Joke where Lauren would pretend to sting the other actors while dressed as her. (She has repeatedly denied the Fanon that the Bee is Grace Chastity.) Fans randomly decided Ted's last name was "Porker", a Memetic Mutation from Fan Art of a Crossover between TGWDLM and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse making a Composite Character of Ted and Spider-Ham. Led to a further Memetic Mutation of Nick Lang repeatedly denying that this was his last name, and people repeatedly trying to guess his actual surname, which turned out to be Spankoffski.
# YMMV.URealmsLive: And of course, the truly dedicated fan interested in the abundance of Mythology Gags and Shout Outs to Rob's earlier works in [=URealms=] Live has some serious research ahead of them, including the Minecraft-based Dwarves vs. Zombies and Lords of Minecraft games, and of course, the original Unforgotten Realms series. This is potentially hundreds of episodes of content, and goes even further if you're exploring the groups' own inside jokes from unrelated Buffalo Wizards content like their long-running Trouble in Terrorist Town series that the group focused on before [=URealms.=]
# YMMV.ForumFantasy: HypeBacklash: Back when this game was announced and released, it was hyped up by the users of the Chaos Theatre Forums, due to being a game that featured many of the users and featured plenty of references to various media. In hindsight, it's a standard RPG with simplistic dungeons, a high random encounter rate akin to old-school [=RPGs,=] and upon closer inspection is actually not very balanced, even if the Updated Re-release mitigated previous balancing issues. Players who have not been on the previously existing forum the game was based on will likely not get the inside jokes and jokes originating from the forum itself.
# Characters.BatmanTheAnimatedSeriesRoguesGalleryPart2: A very subtle one: Baby Doll is depicted in a medium (animation) where looks don't determine a voice actor's employment.
# Film.PassportToPimlico: The radio announcement at the start mentions Latin music performed by "Les Norman and his Bethnal Green Bambinos". This is an in-joke referring to Ealing producer Leslie Norman. Bethnal Green was an unattractive area in the East End of London.
# SuperMarioOdyssey.TropesAToD: According to the tie-in artbook, one Nintendo employee tasked with designing the Ruined Dragon's appearance and boss fight would often say "ああー疲れた…" ("Ah, I'm so tired..."), due to the difficulty of their task. That quote would become that character's only line of dialogue, worded exactly the same as the designer's phrase — but from an outsider's perspective, you probably wouldn't be able to tell that there was even an In-Joke at all, given that it makes sense when it's said in-context.
# Film.StarTrekFirstContact: TheCameo: Robert Picardo as the Enterprise-E EMH and Ethan Phillips along with producer Brannon Braga in the holodeck club scene, with Phillips being the one stopping the drones and being disrupted by Borg laser scanners. Dwight Schultz as recurring character Reginald Barclay also appears. The Millennium Falcon can also (just barely) be seen zipping around the battle with the Borg cube as a Creator In-Joke on the part of Industrial Light & Magic.
# Fanfic.TotalDramaDoOver: Inside jokes and self-indulgent memes often appear in the fanfiction, especially in the extra episode where Vanessa, Anne Maria and Mama DJ go to the mall and in the alternate ending for Island, both of which feature references to the author's friends.

# Horrible.Musicians: As "869", he was active from the late 90s to the start of the '00s. His songs were hosted on a website linked to Prophilax's, and they were horrible beyond belief. He sang over MIDI files of random songs (including cartoon theme songs) in a horrid off-key and off-tempo voice, sometimes with random pitch-shifting that makes lyrics hard to understand. Once Box O' Laffs' guitarist phoned the rest of the band to let them know that he'd just secured them a gig opening up for Talking Heads in Los Angeles that night, then hung up without giving any more detail - after much ado, it turned out the guitarist was stoned out of his mind and claimed the concert was going to be held on a UFO flying above L.A.

# Creator.MikeFlanagan: The Lasser Glass from Oculus will at times make its appearances in his films with the exception of Absentia.
# Film.TheSatanicRitesOfDracula: As an in-joke, Dracula's lair was named Pelham House, a reference to retiring James Carreras's house at Pelham Place in London.
# Literature.Saving80000GoldInAnotherWorldForMyRetirement: In Episode 6 of the anime, when Beatrice is asking Mitsuha if she goes out with boys, a book in her Imagine Spot is another Light Novel by FUNA (I Shall Survive Using Potions!).
# Creator.AnthonyTrollope: In Barchester Towers, Trollope mentions an author who, "wishing to sustain his interest to the last page, hung his hero at the end of the third volume. The consequence was that no one would read his novel." The author was Trollope himself, and the novel was his debut, The Macdermots of Ballycloran.
# Film.TrueStories: CallBack: Louis telling the narrator "Like the song says, it's a scientific lifestyle" could be him mangling a line from "Wild Wild Life" ("things fall apart, it's scientific"), which had been performed earlier in the film. Which would make David Byrne's response ("Hmmm, I don't know that one") a CreatorInJoke.
# Recap.LupinIIIS2E31: Oh! Production inserts their name a few times in the episode, particularly on the license plate of Anita's car and the cameras Lupin and Shirage use.
