  • All of the Other Reindeer: He's been treated like crap in school and everyone seems to look down at him and is a outcast at school, and it was this at Chase's pool party, whenever Tommy was cleaning his pool, all of the people started to laugh at him and calling him "pool boy."
  • Betty and Veronica: He is a Betty (openly gay outcast) for Emma is Veronica (pretty popular cheerleader) of Chase's Archie.
    • It all changes when, He is a Veronica (openly gay outcast) for Emma is Betty (pretty popular cheerleader) of Chase's Archie.
  • Break the Cutie: This poor guy couldn't catch a break, he lost his father at the young age, his mother constantly ignoring him and being bullied at school.

  • Betty and Veronica: He is the Archie for Tommy's Betty (openly gay outcast) and Emma's Veronica (pretty popular cheerleader).

  • Lonely Rich Kid: He's popular at school, but in his home life, his father was always working and almost had zero interest in his personal life.
  • Lovable Jock: Is in the basketball team, he is very benevolent, sweet, and is very genuine to his girlfriend. Also, he doesn't do any harm to Tommy and is very nice to him.
  • Missing Mom: His parents were divorced, so he only lived with his father.
  • Nice Guy: Unlike his friends, He's also compassionate, is even shown to be sweet, sympathetic, friendly and a overall good guy who cares about Tommy's suffering.

  • Token Good Teammate: Poor Chase is in the basketball team with unkind teens. Also, He's the only guy who is good in his friend group with Shane and Andrew.

  • Alpha Bitch: She's the most popular girl in Greenview High with her bff Emma, is a part of the cheer squad, being around with her circle of friends even her girl posse, she's definitely the meanest of the clique but has her nice moments and she wasn't too bitchy. It's implied that she has nothing against Tommy and his friends.
  • Best Friend: To Emma, they're very popular together.
  • Childhood Friends: With Emma, since they were in first grade together.

  • Asshole Victim: After the entire time of tormenting and throwing homophobic insults at both Tommy and Chase, nobody is going to feel sorry for him when he gets expelled days before prom and graduation.
  • Hate Sink: He is the worst person to be around with, he's homophobic with no redeeming qualities who controls Chase and everyone else around him. Even Teddy saying that he's the menace of the society.
  • Jerk Jock: He's a member of the basketball team with a nasty streak, he bullies Tommy and his friends along with Andrew, sexually harassing Emma, also he pressuring his friend Chase so much, he had a hard time standing up for him.
  • Jerkass: Shane is revolting, insufferable and nasty human being, and he is even mean-spirited to Tommy and controlling Chase.
  • Lack of Empathy: He doesn't care how life horrible is it to Tommy, he still thinks it's too much fun. Shane doesn't gives a rat ass about Chase breaking up with Emma, hoping they still be back together.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: After the bullying that Tommy went through, he gets expelled from Greenview High and had to repeat senior year in there again.
