In a universe filled with snarking superheroes, unfazed spies, deadpan vigilantes, and some just plain weird aliens, a work set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will make you laugh.

  • This account of one man's experience, and slow descent into madness, with an 28 hour in-theatre marathon of all Marvel films up to Avengers: Age of Ultron.
    Stan Lee Applause-O-Meter: Tangerines.
Vending machine tally: "O Come, All Ye Faithful," as played by zithers.
Biggest crowd reaction moment: Pretzel bites pretzel bites pretzel bites.
  • Chris Evans' response to Disney's purchase of Fox, which includes rights to the Fantastic Four:
"So who do I talk to about a Cap/Human Torch buddy comedy spin-off? I’m thinking Planes, Trains and Automobiles meets Parent Trap."
  • Perhaps unintentional but in MCU Wiki, the thumbnail picture for the "High Body Count" character categorynote  is the sigil of Damage Controlnote . See here.

  • ALL of the Hilarious Outtakes.
Robert Downey Jr.: You gonna have a gag reel on this like Smokey and the Bandit?
  • Taika Waititi's idea for how he could return to the franchise despite no more Thor films being planned at the moment: a mockumentary about Vision and Scarlet Witch's awkward office romance.
  • Pre-Infinity War, James Gunn and Chris Pratt joking about when the Guardians of the Galaxy finally crossing over with the Avengers, only for Star-Lord or Rocket to shoot Tony Stark in the face in the first ten minutes and they spend the rest of the film trying to pretend he's still alive.
  • There is a comic featuring Edward Norton's return to the MCU, but with Hawkeye's bow and arrow!
  • Due to being a World of Snark, the MCU is filled to the brim with characters giving each other funny nicknames. Accordingly, the MCU Wiki lists them in the "Aliases" section for characters. So go to Thanos's page on the wiki, scroll down to his lists of aliases, and among some genuinely terrifying monikers like "The Mad Titan", "The Dark Lord," etc., you also have "Nutsack of a Chin," "Grimace," and "Perpendicular Grape in Need of Chapstick and a Heart."
    • The fact the latter nickname is directly after "The Most Powerful Being in the Universe" only makes it even better.
    • Thor himself is quite the Butt-Monkey in the franchise. So his own list of aliases start off badass, with some semblances of Red Baron and includes his royal titles. Then comes "Little Princess" and it all starts going downhill. Also, the list ends with just "Man."
    • The wiki pages also lists species. Along with being identified as an Asgardian, Thor is also noted to be a frog (temporarily).
    • Come Endgame and Cap's list of aliases now includes America's Ass.
    • After Infinity War, Hulk's list includes "Big Green Asshole."
  • The sitcom-like rivalry between Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Tom Holland.
  • Do you know how Marvel Villians Come to be?
  • To celebrate the Franchise's tenth anniversary, the studio unveiled a series of special golden posters for nearly every character still around, all of them with the tagline "More than A (blank)", with the "A" in the form of the Avengers logo. Some of these are more tongue-in-cheeck, such as Korg ("More than A Friend of Doug's"), Rocket ("More than A Trash Panda"), and Groot ("I am A Groot").
  • Exclusively for the digital release of Infinity War, various MCU directors sat down to have a roundtable discussion about their experience working on the franchise. Taika Waititi was unable to make it so the directors compensated by putting him on video chat on a tablet and dressing it up with Waititi's trademark clothes.
  • Midway through May 2019, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige himself visited the MCU subreddit for an AMA session. Even while answering fan questions about the MCU and his role in it, he still had the time to indulge himself in some good old-fashioned shitposting.
  • Gwyneth Paltrow has come in for quite a few laughs thanks to her seeming complete inability to remember anything about the franchise except that Robert Downey Jr. is also in it. In particular, the very existence of Sebastian Stan seems to be news to her every single time it's brought up.
  • After the announcement that Taika Waititi would return to make another Thor film, but with its title not yet revealed, much fun was had with how we're forced to refer to it with the tongue-twister Thor 4, which was often expanded into Thor 4: More Thor.
  • After Brie Larson deliberately provoked the sexist trolls by posting a picture of her holding Mjolnir with the caption "Told you I could lift it," Natalie Portman made the gag ten times better by responding "Hey Muscles, careful with my hammer."
  • During an interview with MTV News, Chris Evans referred to Chris Hemsworth as Hemy (twice!).
