    Minato Aqua
  • During a livestream of APEX Legends:
  • Aqua receiving the full Mario Kart experience when mere corners away from an assured victory on a race at Royal Raceway, she got hit by all sorts of items that dropped her to third, leaving her speechless both literally and figuratively (as she can only speak if she's in first place).
  • When Aqua visits hololive's Minecraft server long after it's turned into a ghost town, her plea to get everyone to play it again involves a sky-high set piece she built, a hammy, grandiose speech, and melodramatic violin music. The whole thing ends on Aqua blowing herself up in a small wooden hut after asking herself why she plays Minecraft, almost certainly a nod to when she accidentally blew up Shion's house.
    • About a year later, after the server undergoes a revival, Aqua has started "Akukin Construction", a rival construction company to Usada Construction. She makes a point of hiring Marine and initially Moona. But due to the budding friendship, Moona transferred to Pekora. This led to Moona's official resignation...which was followed by Aqua holding an impromptu stream to speak to her "shareholders"...where she melodramatically praised Moona, claimed she has become too complacent, denied any war with Usada Construction, laid out her plans for a server railway...and then blew herself up again.
  • This "intimate" moment with Marine when they go to sleep together.
  • While holding a 24-hour streaming marathon for her second anniversary, Aqua comes back from the bath and says she has to dry her hair. This triggers a flurry of excited chat activity, who are happy for Aqua to do so while still on stream.
Aqua: How did this happen? I don't understand this chain of events.
  • In one of her Super Smash Bros. Ultimate streams, Aqua finds herself in a Mirror Match against another Steve player, which starts off with both players rushing to get diamonds first. Aqua chuckles and repeatedly says "no" at the absurdity of what she's seeing.
  • Aqua gets a bit too enthusiastic with the rifle during her attempts to defend the Arstotzka border during a terrorist raid, shooting two of the soldiers in the process. She is horrified at the consequences when she is sentenced to death for what she thought would be an inconsequential video game action.
Aqua: Seriously?! No one has done this before?!
  • Aqua's Twitter exchange with Amelia over the former's birthday celebration starts out pretty wholesome... until she realized Ame called her "Yasai-senpai" again. Cue a written version of Late to the Realization.
    Aqua: Amelia!!!!!!! Hello!!!!!!!!
I want your love...💓i hope you love me…💓
    ………………??
    Yasai-senpai.....??????????
    AMELIAAAAAAA😡😡😡😡😡😡
  • While exploring the updated Nethernote  she gets caught in a lava flow while trying to tunnel to safety. In a panic she downs a Potion of Fire Resistance in time, only for her Strider to float up the lava flow and push her into the ceiling, causing her to die from suffocation and lose all her prized items, including her ultimate equipment and the really rare Elytra. It would normally be a heartbreaking moment as she Rage Quits Minecraft to go play Mario Kart instead... but about half a day later she's streaming Minecraft again.
  • Upon learning that netherite items don't burn, she decides to test it out. Unlike Miko and Pekora before her, however, she chooses to do so in a single lava source block, and has fun tossing her netherite items in and watching them pop back into her inventory. When she places the lava back in the lake, however, it triggers the physics for the gravel she was walking on, causing the ground to collapse and plunging her straight into the lava. This might have rendered a whole stream's worth of netherite mining into a "Shaggy Dog" Story...if Aqua hadn't happened to drink a Potion of Fire Resistance shortly beforehand while fending off a Ghast, meaning she was able to safely return to solid ground.
  • During an Apex Legends stream, Ollie appears in Aqua's chat and comments. Upon reading this, Aqua's awkwardness manifests and she starts introducing herself in Engrish, her shyness breaking when she accidentally chose Fuse, only to come back to awkwardness right after.
Aqua: (in English) Hello... Ah... Nice to meet you... Ollie. I'm... Minato Aqua. Uh... I like Apex... (in Japanese) Aaah! My character became Fuse! (laughs) (in English) I like Apex... Thank you... Nice to meet you.
  • Aqua shared how she adopted Nene as her fashion guru during a dance lesson after her kouhai regaled her with fashion tips, nonplussed though she was with some of it. Then Subaru came in, saw Aqua trying out the French tuck, and went "Eh? The heck is that?"
  • While sifting through the official hololive website, Aqua notices that her own description is "a marine maid-styled cute VTuber", leading to an existential crisis at the shocking realization that she's just a normal person cosplaying as a maid as Shion often teased her about.
  • At the very start of her July 18, 2021 singing stream, she forgets how to work her various sound controls and blames her PC for it.
  • While playing Resident Evil Village, she comes across a sign that says "Do Not Enter" (in English). In response, she presses the Enter key on her keyboard twice. Then getting in close she gets a Japanese subtitle for what it means. The chat asks her if she really pressed Enter, and she tells them to shut up.
  • During her October 10, 2021 guerrilla stream of Minecraft, Aqua looks around the portal area to the EN server and accidentally steps through the portal, arriving in the server before she was ready to actually venture there. Knowing that the return portal is down a well, she then spends a while jumping into every fountain or other body of water she sees in the hope of getting home.
  • When told that Shion and Gura intend to invite her to their wedding, Aqua rejoices because this means there are fewer rivals for Okayu's affections.
  • For her 2021 birthday stream, Aqua decides to redebut and introduces herself as the sixth member of the sixth generation, one whose shtick is that she's a rapper that punctuates her speech with "Yo!" When the other members call in to congratulate her, they play along for the most part.
    • Choco, Noel and Lamy unexpectedly call in together, greet and congratulate Aqua, and then leave so quickly that the gaming maid rapper is left confused for a good few seconds.
    • Aqua had messaged Suisei, asking if she can lay eggs, which completely floored the comet who thought she was maybe getting sexually harassed or something like that. As it turns out, Aqua was talking about Pokemon and completely drops character to clear things up. She asked Ina the same thing and got essentially the same response.
    • Subaru and Nene introduce themselves to Aqua as Negi U Explanation . They gift her a rapper's gold chain, prompt her to sing a rap and then tease her about the fact that they saw her practicing it earlier that day.
    • She introduces herself to Sora as a member of the Hololive Resistance. Sora calmly identifies her as the enemy and Aqua is left speechless for a few seconds before begging for forgiveness.
  • Aqua is reminded by her chat that she's not the boss of Akukin anymore because not only did Gura usurp the CEO position right in front of her, Nene took over the company without the two of them looking during holoX's tour of the JP server.
  • A fan tells Aqua that his nephew in Junior High is a Noel fan. Aqua worries that the boy would be ruined by being exposed to such richness at a young age and recommends that he start with A-chan instead.
  • When Aqua is exploring the HoloCure 0.5 update, she unlocks herself in the gacha and is predictably irritated when she realizes her base HP stat is 44.5. After about 5 hours of play, she completes Stage 2 and is prepared to end the stream only to notice the chat counting down. She checks the clock and realizes she's approaching 4:45 AM local time. She calls out the chat for continuing to tease her, before deciding to count down with them.

    Murasaki Shion
  • Shion gets annoyed at being called "Pettanko Potter" by the trailer for the Hololive Minecraft Sports Festival. She demands to know who made the video and who made the decision to implicitly mock her chest size.
  • Shion makes the mistake of buying Â¥40,000 worth of iTunes cards in an attempt to buy an iPad, not understanding the difference between those and an Apple Store card.
  • Shion, while playing Craftopia, in similarities to Mio's mistake in Ark, makes a hotbar mistake that causes her character to accidentally eat some poop. The incident leaves her mildly annoyed and amused.
  • Shion tries to make a snowman in Planet Coaster, but uses the wrong shape and inadvertently made it penis-shaped. She then edits it a bit to make it look like a penis even more, until she finds the right item to actually make it look like a classic snowman.
  • In one stream, Shion received a very polite Superchat from someone using a non-Japanese name which Shion likened to a graduation speech. She then thanked the fan and complemented the great Japanese. Come the next stream, the fan sends another Superchat telling her that they are actually Japanese and she totally loses her shit as she both apologizes and gives her thanks.
  • During a singing stream, she wonders what the "Whole" in "Whole New World" means and discovers the horrors of homophones crossing the language barrier, finding the definitions for "hall" and "hole" before getting to "whole" and that word's myriad meanings. All of that confounds her, but she pretends to understand it while saying out loud that she will pretend not to understand it because the chat will think she's cuter that way.
Chat: You know acting dumb doesn't make you cute, right?
  • In her fifth Pokémon Shining Pearl stream, she opens her fight with Rayquaza using a quick ball and gets stunned into silence when she actually captures it in the first turn with no problems. She asks for a moment if it's a dud.
  • She's asked by a viewer for permission to touch her oppai mouse pad, which she finds so hilarious she's wheezing as she tells the other Shiokko to give that one permission to do so in her stead.

    Nakiri Ayame
  • She decides to have an endurance stream in Minecraft, where the stream ends when she fishes up an enchanted book. She fishes one up with her first try.
  • During Papers, Please playthroughs:
  • Ayame sometimes gets Superchat messages which are either amusing or come from a funny sender. Two notable examples are "Rushia Super Boing Boing" (giving Ayame a chuckle) and Kyojuro Rengoku showing up to say he found an Oni streaming. In response to the second, Ayame plays along and claims she should be spared as she hasn't eaten any humans.
    • In a later stream (where she discusses, amongst other things, the preparations for future events), she gets two Superchat messages from Muzan Kibutsuji. She then jokingly thanks her "Senpai" for the donations.
  • In the middle of one of her streams, she talks about the importance of saving money and, in the tradition of fans bullying Hololive with money, the chat responded by sending Superchat messages saying that they'll deposit it with her. As soon as more such messages come in, she starts telling them they shouldn't as they continue to inundate her with Superchats, even when she tries reverse psychology and relents when that doesn't work.
  • During her 2020 birthday stream, she cringes when she gets teased by Matsuri, Rushia, and Noel during their call-ins about the "Docchi-Docchi Song"note , which she brought up three days prior. Matsuri even covered the song.
  • In the middle of an APEX stream, she off-handedly mentions that she likes acapella but pre-empts her audience by saying that she won't be doing such a singing stream, unless maybe it was members-only. Suddenly, she got hit by a flood of new memberships and she was so overwhelmed as she was seeing solid blocks of green in the chat. This, in addition to the incoming Superchats that caused her to react much like Fubuki did (that is, acting like she's being physically hit by the donations).
  • During her return stream, Ayame revealed why she had no internet connection. As it transpires, a lot of things came up which affected her moving date, making it be pushed back, but by the time "Goodbye Declaration" premiered she didn't inform her provider of the change and thus the service was terminated at her previous address. Admitting her error, she manages to make light of the situation:
Ayame: At the time "Goodbye Declaration" was uploaded, my internet had already declared goodbye.
  • For the longest time, the members of the Nakiri-gumi had no idea that Ayame already came up with a mark for them and uses it often. She thought they'd understand what it was without telling them and they've always thought that it was just a cat symbol or her face.

    Yuzuki Choco
  • In a rare ditzy moment, Choco does an early morning stream to see off her fans who would be going to school or work around that time, only to be informed that it's a public holiday (Showa Day).
    • In the same stream, she talks about her dad, sharing that he's a retro-gamer who introduced her to some classics. Sensing another HoloFamily member they would like to meet, the chat asks Choco to send some of the Superchat money his way and if they could meet him, to which she responds that she will not hand over her dad to her fans.
  • Despite her usual highly-erotic demeanor, not even Choco was prepared for Yumeno Lilith of NoriPro.
Choco: Norio! Norio! What kind of person did you bring here?
  • Choco's habit of level grinding in Minecraft saw her reaching level 510 early in 2022, at which point she had slain 562,375 endermen.note  Unfortunately for her, within the same stream, she attempted to enter Roboco's secret base and burnt to death in the lava entrance, which lost her all of her levels.
  • From her collab with Mirei Gundou.
    • When asked what they would do if they could swap bodies, Mirei says that she'd start by groping Choco's boobs before thinking about what she would actually do. Then she gives her answer: she would take cute selfies and sell them for big money.
    • When asked if the both of them are actually teachers, Choco replies that she can be called sensei as she's the (underworld) school nurse, though she's mostly slacking off in the infirmary. Mirei calls her a NEET. The latter says that she's primarily a mathematics teacher who was working full-time before COVID-19 hit and so doesn't report in as much. Choco calls her a NEET in turn.
    • Choco teases Mirei about the GunKanZaranote  3D stream and how cute she was as she tried to copy Sara's movements as they danced. The math teacher's embarrassment could be felt through the screen.
  • She returns to Rust after two whole days of sleep to see Matsuri's horses dead and her own tower collapsing in real-time.

    Oozora Subaru
  • Subaru's first attempt at what can charitably be called an ASMR Video. To say the least, things quickly go south.
    • Firstly, she doesn't have any calm music handy, so she opts for some atonal recorder music. Said recorder music is, of all things, "Happy Birthday to You!".
    • Her voice throughout the video is less "relaxing whisper" and more "Donald Duck with severe throat cancer".
    • She also keeps bumping into things and talking in her normal volume.
    • And the icing on the cake — the audio from the stream is turned into a HoloGra episode. Nothing is scripted. It's straight up the audio lifted from the original stream just with animation and some of the lines rearranged! Fans who saw the HoloGra episode first are often flabbergasted when they learn that this was from an actual Subaru stream.
  • Subaru plays Cities: Skylines and attempts to make it in a star layout. After much trial and error, she decides to go with a simple triangle layout - and then realizes it looks like a pair of panties. The best part is she decides to keep using the design.
  • Someone noticed that Subaru uses the exact same expression on her stream thumbnails. Memes ensued.
  • It turns out Subaru actually is a bit jealous of Gura... for what is probably the silliest reason possible.
Subaru: Why!? Why is it that when Sharky says "a" everyone says it's cute, but when I say "a" they say I sound like Goku!?
  • Subaru rants about Twitter trends regarding hate towards Re:Zero's Subaru Natsuki, mistaking them to be directed against her. She's also amused that she looks very much like Ruka of Rent-A-Girlfriend, especially when they're both wearing similar ribbons.
  • After getting pranked with a trapped house filled with firework star-shooting dispensers, Subaru tried to get even with Pekora by hiding some chickens under her house while also adding some netherrack-fueled flames for flavor. Unfortunately, those flames wound up burning Pekora's house down. Further adding to the hilarity was Subaru's father calling afterwards, and when Subaru brought up how she accidentally destroyed Pekora's house, her dad stated she should apologize.
  • Subaru has to deal with various problematic usernames in various streams of Sausage Legend Online. This one was already frought with questionable ones. Her attempts to mitigate against them here using a large "Happy Birthday" sign censor only encourages more and worse examples and even ones that go unnoticed by Subaru. A third occasion has her try to use a police car graphic to hide offensive names.
    • The first stream has an advert for Touhou LostWord with an unexpected cameo - a clip from fellow Hololive idol Houshou Marine gushing about the game. This catches Subaru off guard.
  • Subaru is answering a question sent in from a viewer about his conflicted feelings about a family member working privately as a VTuber of the opposite gender. This seems to be a genuine cry for help in a serious dilemma. However, the sender asks Subaru at the end of the message if she can confirm she is a girl and not pretending to be one, as referenced in his problem. Cue Subaru getting quite annoyed and having to kibosh rumors to that effect which were going around at the time.
  • Subaru recounts her experience at a chiropractic clinic. It takes a bit of an odd turn when the doctor at the clinic attributes the problems Subaru is having with her back to her butt being "too stiff" and procedes to apply accupunture needles into Subaru's butt and run electricity through them. Subaru points out the whole incident put her off returning to that clinic. This incident also sparks off the misunderstanding Marine had over what happened, as detailed in her individual moments.
Subaru: You guys are laughing now but someday, they might pull your pants down and expose your butt. And [then] poke your butt and stream electricity through it!
  • During the chatting portion of her Fatal Frame 2 stream, she talks about her manager. Specifically, about how big an otaku her manager is over Touken Ranbu and how she's constantly trying to get Subaru to watch it. Her manager gets her chance when they were both in the dressing room getting ready for a dance lesson, showing Subaru a video that the latter thought would just be a clip but turned out to be a whole episode. In the end, Subaru missed the lesson and they watched Touken Ranbu together for an hour. Subaru then talks about how the Subatomos are divided between those who prefer the feminine Subaru and the duck Subaru and that her manager revealed that she's on the side on the former by slipping a comment in while they were talking about work matters.
  • During a stream of Ring Fit Adventure Subaru was blissfully unaware of just how lewd her cries of pain were. Indeed, it sounded like she was in some sort of pornographic film if they didn't have the video up for context, not helped by the fact she even commented she wanted to take off articles of clothing because she was getting so hot.
  • Subaru recalls a scene from a HoloGraffiti episode where she torments Watame with an improvised hold. What gets really weird is that, a couple months later, Japanese pro wrestler Great-O-Khan replicated the move in one of his matches. Contrary to what Subaru thought, this move was completely original, and it gets named "Oozora Subaru-Style Neck-and-Back Breaker" before getting officially recognized as "Oozora-Style Sheep Killer", making Subaru a wrestling move innovator without any proper wrestling experience!
  • Subaru taught her real mom how to acquire membership on YouTube with some expectation that she would support her daughter, only to learn that she went and simped for someone not even in hololive.
  • Subaru's a bit confused over why a clip of her with Noel's mace planted up her ass is getting circulated. She also notes in the comments something about "R34 artists", but when she tries searching it, her results lead her to the Nissan Skyline R34.
  • When Subaru shared that she got married with Towa, and told Towa about it, the latter's only reactions were "When did this happen?" and "Kusa". Subaru then said that, since she didn't reject it, they're living happily ever after.
  • She gets confronted with request for her armpit sweat from a Japanese viewer, brings up Nene's running gag, and worries that the overseas fans won't understand what's going on. She asks them, in English, if they're into that as well and gets affirmations across the board. She then pretends to ignore hearing anything about it, but fails to evade the declaration that the demand for Hololive armpit sweat is worldwide.
  • After taking a short hiatus to rest her voice, Subaru returns in her usual fashion, imitating Gura's debut before shouting as loudly as her voice will allow.
  • Subaru's entire encounter with the Giant Baby Monster in Resident Evil Village and ends up getting eaten by the baby. Twice. Warning: Loud scream alert.
  • She shared in her June 12 Dragon Quest stream that she only then just learned that Marine isn't actually 17 years old.
  • While recording the ending song for an animeExplanation  with Aqua and Nene, she asks for a redo for her parts because she is worried that she sounds like a duck. She is told that it's perfect that way and they want to use it as is.
  • Subaru shared that her IRL mom was reporting Suisei to the Oozora Police.
  • During a "free chat", she tells a story about how her friend noticed she was pointing her finger up while she spoke, similar to a famous Japanese comedian. Subaru comments that she picked that up from Okayu. Her English translation, though, had her render it as "Okayu fingers herself while she speaks". The chat loses it, and Okayu even comments with another "Okazu (fap material)" joke.
  • Subaru is dismayed at the great popularity of her duck form and reminds her fans that it's not officially her motif. That said, she has shared that it's really helped her business-wise because sponsors seek her out under the belief that she's a duck character.
Subaru: Seriously, this duck thing has been helping me a lot. But I'm gonna cry! Everyone! Please acknowledge that I'm human! Not a duck!
  • Subaru tries licking saturated saline solution, gets surprised by the taste and then warns her viewers not to do it. Then she licks it again.
  • Like Miko, Subaru refers to Hakos Baelz as "pad" and gets flustered when she realizes her mistake.
  • Subaru learns the truth about Pokemon breeding.
  • Subaru has finally come to accept that Mio is not her mama. And no, this is not because she's in a rebellious phase.
  • When streaming The Radio Station, Subaru decided to monitor her fear level with external help. Rather than using a heart monitor as many other hololive talents do, however, she decided to use a decibel counter.
  • During Shigure Ui's 3D debut stream, the artist strains her back doing a heart pose with Subaru and the duck has to help her mama recover from the strain of that rather light activity. They both remark how far she's gotten as she used to get drained from lighter physical exertion before it.
  • A number of hololivers had to deal with spammers during YouTube Music Weekend Spring 2022. Subaru responds by setting it so that only long-time subscribers can chat. And by "long-time", we mean "before the public knew what the Internet was."note
  • While watching old hololive - Holo no Graffiti episodes, Subaru noticed the then-recently implemented "Most Replayed" feature. She also noticed on the particular episode she was watching that the exact moment with the most engagement was a still frame of Ayame's butt. After jokingly chastising chat, she calls the new feature "horrible".
Subaru: You guys are being too true to your desires!!
  • While playing Final Fantasy X, Subaru names the summon Valefor as "Subarufor", which coincidentally is the same name Noel gave to Valefor a year before. This wasn't lost on Noel.
