Much like Minecraft, the multiplayer Wide-Open Sandbox nature of Rust allows for a lot of shenanigans to happen without the need for any organization. hololive also has its own servers to keep everything localized.

  • To the dread of anyone who comes across her, Suisei shows once again why she is hololive's Memetic Psychopath. She at one point ambushes Koyori and steals her MP5, and the latter asks Miko if she's going to join forces. They go to Suisei's house and she ambushes the both of them. Suisei then heals Koyori and gives her back her MP5 only to kill her anyway. Animated by Tripl3.
    • When Pekora and Matsuri were at Suisei's territory, Pekora decides to play her guitar and singing. The moment Pekora made a mistake, Suisei's immediate response is to shoot her singing "Shi wa shineyo".
  • Subaru's first time playing isn't the greatest experience. That's because when Suisei encountered her, Subaru was on a horse and mercilessly guns her down. Suisei was unaware that she just killed Subaru, and the latter learns the hard way that it's how people play it. And thus when Flare attempted to steal her horse, Subaru's first reaction was to shoot her to death.
    • Why are Subaru and Pekora not on good terms? They were watching Fubuki getting attacked by the helicopter, and when it approaches Subaru's base, Subaru ran inside and Pekora is outright panics and tells Subaru to let her in. She doesn't... After Pekora respawns, Pekora then steals her horse and runs off.
  • As Miko finds out the hard way, she should not rob people who are very capable of killing her.
    • When Miko encounters Fubuki, the latter lets her in her house and take an item. Miko was trying to rob her. Fubuki suspects that was the case and guns her down, and interrogates her at gunpoint.
    • When Miko, Pekora, Matsuri, and Fubuki were at Suisei's house, Miko and Pekora ends up discovering Suisei's basement. Pekora tries to steal Suisei's items, but immediately returned them. Miko on the other hand reclaimed her items, but also stole off of Suisei's item box. Suisei then suspects Pekora if she stole anything and guns her down. Realizing her mistake, the girls went to find Miko, and asks her. Miko ends up giving herself away when Suisei never told anyone about her basement. Cue firefight. The other girls then form a temporary alliance to destroy her house, and her chat told her, causing her to outright panic. Predictably, they raid her house, kill her, and proceed to destroy everything until she gives up.
      • Meanwhile while the other girls were busy attacking and destroying Miko's base, Fubuki decides to play the piano. But then the game glitches on her, and she gets shot.
  • Matsuri shows she can be a massive Troll if she wanted to. Her targets of pranking is Fubuki and Pekora who she does it to relentlessly.
  • Considering how common horse theft is in this game among the JP members, it'll be no surprise if the offender gets shot down. Especially if they got shot down by the helicopter hovering.
  • Suisei scares the crap out of Choco that Choco was frantic enough to commit suicide just to not get near her.
  • Choco then has another encounter with Suisei while she's attempting to climb down a ladder. Suisei is just standing there and frightening her, but only demanded food. Choco obliges and gives her food and Suisei thanks her by giving her pumpkin seeds, and goes on her way (though Choco says she has no use for them).
  • Matsuri realizes that Choco Drives Like Crazy, careening her vehicle off a cliff. Matsuri even notes that she was ready to die.
  • Pekora gives Fubuki a lift in her gyrocopter. Fubuki is nervous the whole flight due to Pekora's reckless flying and her open admission to having never successfully landed before. Despite this, Pekora actually manages to safely drop Fubuki off at her destination, and after saying farewell, Fubuki watches Pekora take off... and immediately crash and explode into the nearby "dome."
  • While being the only two players during Season 5, Kanata was simply having a casual chat on whether Luna will play the game during the server wipe day. Luna is oblivious at this, but Kanata has prepared 50 C4 just in case the wipe day comes. Luna still doesn't believe her and thinks Kanata's fighting alone, to which Kanata denies. Kanata then explained that she built a base big enough to fit those explosives, yet at the same time felt that there'd be no one to raid her base. Luna fires back, saying that no one would be sane enough to raid such a big base, to which Kanata assures the princess that they will. Luna retorts that there won't be 10 people logging in simultaneously, yet the angel fires back saying it's only a matter of time before it happens. While all of this is happening, Luna just laughs at Kanata's thoughts while casually dismissing them, believing that Kanata's crazy preparations just reek of paranoia.

  • After Mumei receives a gun from Matsuri, she keeps it in her inventory, and is trying to build a base. Then a bear comes by, and her chat tells her bears are afraid of guns. cue unloading her gun on the thing and realized the Chat was messing with her.
  • During her first stream Calli begins to follow Gura who is lamenting not being able to kill anyone while pressuring Calli to follow her somewhere. Though trusting at first, ominous ambient music begins to play completely by chance and scares Calli into deciding against it while some in chat try to assure her that Gura definitely isn't planning to kill her.
  • Gura decides to raid Calli's house and discovers that she forgot to put a lock on her new door. Calli, who is logged out at the time, in sleeping on her floor. Gura then proceeds to take a picture of her sleeping body and puts it in her hotbar so she can't miss it when she eventually logs in.

  • Reine finally gets to play the game after several members started playing. And then she ends up dying and trying to find her corpse. Eventually, Kiara had to show her the ropes and help build her a base.
  • Kaela starts one of her stream, and dies not even a few minutes later. What caused her death? Falling off a catwalk.
  • When Kaela is having a difficult time in season 3, she encounters an NPC and all she has as an offensive weapon is a jackhammer. She uses it, and it kills the NPC. Cue pause and begins to laugh.

    Mixed players
  • Just about the majority of the girls get addicted to the Bandit Camp's Casino gambling, often spending hours after midnight in JP on the roulette wheel wasting thousands of scrap they never used to unlock more blueprints. Especially Miko.
    • Some of the EN girls start gambling. And then IRyS gets hungry. Mumei then decides to feed her a piece of Bae's corpse. This of course freaks the other girls out.
    • At one point, the girls' gambling fun is interrupted by gunshots outside, and Calli snaps.
Calli: (over megaphone) SHUT YOUR ASSES UP! SHUT THE FUCK UP! SHUT UP! STOP SHOOTING!
  • Matsuri was busy destroying metal signs until she encounters Polka and Mumei. Mumei is only armed with a spear, and impresses Matsuri when she kills a wolf with the spear that she gives her a gun, and Mumei acts like a cavewoman discovering a new toy. Cue both of them doing an Evil Laugh and Mumei going on her way.
  • Mumei encounters Moona on top of a tower, and the latter accidentally draws out her rocket launcher, causing Mumei to riddle her with bullets. Then Kaela comes to see the commotion, and gets shot by Mumei. Moona had to explain that she wasn't trying to kill her, and Mumei obliges by getting her up. Kaela unfortunately expires before Mumei could heal her.
  • Amelia's first encounter with Suisei when she finds her horse. She thought of stealing the horse since it seems to be in the middle of nowhere, but when chat tells her whose horse she's trying to steal from, she meets the owner and promptly drives away. But not before her vehicle gets a bullet to the windshield.
  • Polka's whole journey of getting Zeta a new horse is a string of funny moments, starting with her unintentionally Car Fu-ing Umami by driving off of a hill and running it over. As she's freaking out and trying to find a replacement before Zeta discovered the killing, she's ambushed and gunned down by the resident Memetic Psychopath Suisei, who disappeared as quickly as she arrived. After several more hours of running around, Nene finally offered her old horse in its place instead, which looked nothing like Umami. By that point, Polka basically thought of it as "good enough" and called it a day, and then got lost trying to find her way home, but not before running into Suisei again and having another panic moment. As a kicker, Zeta lost that horse as well just a short while later.
  • Suisei encounters Zeta who told her she has gotten herself a new horse after her first two horses died. Unknown to Zeta, Suisei ends up stealing her horse and it glitches on a rock. She ends up giving up on the horse when she couldn't free it.
  • Reine, Anya, and Gura gets into a firefight with NPCs and then Gura accidentally throws a grenade upward that kills all three of them. Anya laughs hysterically while Reine shouts "What the fuck!?"
  • To make a send off to season 2, some of the girls decide to make a faction to kill the other teams. Who was the dominant team? Suisei's, whose team comprises of herself, Zeta, Roboco, Kanata, Gura, Pekora, and Koyori. Then they start going around killing other teams.
    • Partway through, Pekora, having discovered that Suisei had raided one of her secondary bases earlier, betrays the team and blows them up via rocket launcher. Soon after, all warring factions call a truce and converge upon Pekora's base together, only to discover how ridiculously overengineered the rabbit's base is with its array of auto turrets. When they try to use MLRS rockets and helicopters to attack it, they discover that she's also packing anti-air missiles, leaving them no choice but to run the gauntlet and C4 the walls, which also ends up being as funny as it is bloody because of how often the girls blow themselves and each other up with their own explosives, and members with proximity chat enabled can hear Pekora yammering on and on in the background. A truly entertaining finale for the season.
    • While nearly everyone else are taking part in the war against Pekora, Calli and Fubuki spend the entire war jamming out with each other at the Casino.
    • Afterwards, Suisei decides to go to the Bandit Camp's Casino with Miko and Calli by herself. After losing her scraps, Suisei decides to go out with a bang, which involves flying with Miko in a helicopter while playing her trumpet, and the the helicopter gets shot down by NPCs with rocket launchers.
  • Calli decides to end her first stream of the game and begins bidding farewell to her chat. Then she hears gunshots and begins to freak out. Then Suisei appears in global chat and Calli nopes out, immediately ending the stream.

    First VCR Server
  • Off the heels of VSaikyo's 5th season comes a new Rust server for its participants, among them La+ and Astel. La+, who had previously been avoiding Astel specifically because of him cranking up his usual antics during the season, ends up getting forced into a wild goose chase once this inevitably causes him to take an interest.
  • rpr shows off his pogo stick skills to Astel, only for him to run head first into a wall with Astel wondering if rpr's fine.
  • La+ encounters Roberu and when Roberu dies due to hunger and thirst, he respawns only to get killed by La+. He swears he's gonna have his revenge one of these days. Meanwhile, Astel stops by and starts trolling La+ and ends up finding Roberu, telling him that he just finished trolling their kouhai. And when they encounter again, La+ gives Roberu a present which is his own body part. And throughout the entire thing, La+ channels her inner monkey by making almost nothing but monkey sounds.
    • Gamma finally shows up and La+ meets her kouhai by asking him to draw something with Roberu charging her 100 scraps at first, then lowers it down to 50, and when La+ brings out a knife, Gamma and Roberu immediately tell her that it's free.
    • La+ asks her kouhai for some scraps and when Gamma tells her that he has 200 while La+ tells him that she only has 12, he outright calls her dirt poor. La+ tells him that she was actually gonna use her money for gambling. And when they finally get to the roulette, Gamma loans La+ some scraps, only to realize that she actually won 1000 scarps. Gamma immediately asks for his money back.
  • The entire love memo arc starring Roberu is chock full of these.
    • While walking by, Roberu gets stopped by Hinano and Ririmu who asks if he has some scraps. She then advertises that for only 1000 scraps, Roberu can find love. Roberu falls for it and immediately goes to Gamma for scraps with Gamma at first not really wanting to do so for his senpai, only for Roberu to tell Gamma that it's Worth It as it's something really lewd. Gamma immediately does a 180 and gives him the 1000 scraps, only for him to note (after Roberu took off) that "maybe they're screwed."
    • Roberu ends up paying a total of 1500 scraps and gets a memo claiming that whoever bought the note should call them, Deron-chan, on that number. Roberu then shows it to Gamma and the latter brings out a rock and starts smacking his senpai, even claiming that holostars is finished.
    • Gamma encounters both Ririmu and Hinano who want to commission drawings from Gamma. Only for Gamma, who would normally charge people 2000 scraps, to charge them 3000 scraps as that 1000 scraps was his originally, with Ririmu and Hinano defending that Roberu was the one who gave in to his curiosity.
    • After not being able to contact "Deron-chan" before, Roberu tries to contact them again and "Deron-chan" finally answers, only to find out that "Deron-chan" was actually Higuchi Kaede, who proceeds to talk in her sultry voice and gives Roberu kisses. After hanging up, Roberu notes that he's gonna have nightmares afterwards.
    • Sometime later, the two finally meet Romeo-Juliet style and when Deron-chan tells Roberu to go inside the house, Roberu looks up the sky, monologues a bit, and goes inside. He gets peppered with stationary guns for his troubles with Roberu noting that he saw that coming while Kaede was laughing at how perfect the entire thing is.
  • Several groups on the server eventually denigrate into similarly-debaucherous roleplay scenarios. Axel, Eunice, and rpr start roleplaying Netorare, La+ and Yui start selling Yuri-themed recordings of themselves, and Astel is, uh, "monitoring" Niu's own forays into the business (with implied consent, presumably.) We also finally learn what La+ asked Gamma to draw: an advert for her and Yui's services, which is exactly what you'd expect it to be.
  • Axel finally scores a proper onee-chan by getting to roleplay as a young boy with Kagura Nana. Unfortunately, Towa and rpr find this out right when they're in the middle of using this to cash in on the ongoing voice-pack economy.
  • Imagine you are Towa who at one point ran into two foreign dudes having heavy argument in your front lawn using language you don't understand. You approach them asking what this is all about and one of them replies:
Axel:"Towa-senpai, may I ask you a favor? Rpr wants to make a BL voice pack of his and mine as soon as possible."

    Second VCR server
  • In contrast to the previous server, Astel's highlights were off to a rough start, as he runs into Ayame and soon pressures her into killing him. She obliges, but the mood is hilariously uncomfortable, and Astel himself ends up getting more than he bargained for after Aki almost immediately offs him the moment he respawns.
  • In this clip, Calli runs into Bae by pure chance and trade phone numbers. While Calli is harvesting materials, Bae prank calls her with the "Have you heard of our Lord and Savior Lightning McQueen?" bit until Calli hangs up.
