The Happy Hotel

    Charlotte "Charlie" Magne
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/charlie_flat_colors.png
Voiced by: Jill Harris
Singing Voice: Elsie Lovelock

The host of the hotel and Princess of Hell. Regardless of how much people ridicule her dream, she's determined to make a humane way of reducing the population a reality.

  • All-Loving Hero: She loves her people, and is willing to do the impossible to help them avoid a timely demise.
  • Ambiguously Human: Minus the fangs, Charlie is one of the most human looking characters on the cast, having a realistic skin tone, normal eyes, and regular blonde hair. She is, however, still a denizen of Hell herself, making it arguable if she counts as a human or just a human-like devil.
  • Anti Anti Christ: Charlie, daughter of Lucifer, is the Princess of Hell. Despite what her lineage may imply however, she genuinely cares about the people of Hell, and wants to find a more humane way of dealing with its overpopulation. Moreover, unlike other characters, she hasn't done anything horrible, despite ironically being born in Hell.
  • Bifauxnen: Downplayed since she doesn't look or sound particularly androgynous, but she prefers suits over dresses and pulls off the look very well.
  • Bi the Way: A tweet by Viv for "Coming Out Day" apparently reveals that Charlie swings both ways based on the pride colors present in the heart above her.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Charlie has some fangs that compliment her cute look.
  • Demon Lords and Archdevils: Born in Hell, Charlie holds the title of Princess of said realm. However, she's less of an infernal demonic mistress and more a garden-variety Disney princess, complete with bouncy and optimistic naiveté, saccharine song numbers, and the like.
  • Do Not Call Me "Paul": Her full name is Charlotte, but if the fact that it's crossed out on a character profile is any indication, she greatly prefers Charlie.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: You'd think as Hell's Princess, she'd get a good deal of credibility, but considering that she's trying to make Hell a better place when said place is unrepentantly satisfied with what a Crapsack World it is, she's met with ridicule for her ideals.
    • Katie even tells her outright that the only reason they decided to go forward with interviewing her was that their original choice couldn't make it and they needed to fill up the timeslot, saying that she's "too rich and too influential to give a flying fuck about what some tux wearing demon princess wants to advertise".
    • According to a tweet by Viv, nobody in Hell really has a sense of respect or loyalty to the royal family. They fear them to an extent but due to Charlie's reputation and demeanor, the populace doesn't see her as very threatening.
  • Everything's Better with Princesses: She's the Princess of Hell, and although she lacks the dress code, she has the personality.
  • Eye Colour Change: She can change her eyes to a more demonic red if she wants to.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Has blonde hair and genuinely cares about her people.
  • Horned Humanoid: Her more demonic form has a pair of disturbing long horns on her head.
  • Horrifying the Horror: While singing "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow", Charlie's face suddenly shifts into a demonic looking one with glowing eyes and horns bursting through her skin, which causes onlooking demons to back away with looks of shock. When the song is over, Katie is leaning as far away from her as she can. (Charlie herself, in turn, freaks out when Alastor comes knocking.)
  • Humanoid Abomination: She's the most human looking demon in hell, but she's still a demon, and the Princess of Hell at that.
  • Irony: Unlike other demons who're damned souls who went to Hell after they died, Charlie was born and raised in the inferno. However, she is arguably the purest, sweetest ray of sunshine around.
  • Missing Steps Plan: Charlie clearly has no idea how to get her plan to work, a Freeze-Frame Bonus of her notes shows that what plan there is is weird, to say the least.
    4. Unicorn Kisses
    5. Dolphin High Fives?
    6. Sing Showtunes!!! =Happy Ending!!
    • Shown again during her song "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow," where she seems to just think removing bad temptations is all you have to do; for example, throwing an addict's drugs in a fire in front of him.
  • Modest Royalty: Despite being the princess of Hell, she seemingly favors tasteful suits over luxury gowns and formal wear.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: She's a demon (and was born that way unlike many of hell's denizens) but is a kind hearted and joyful person who wants to help others.
  • Nice Girl: An oddity for a denizen of Hell, Charlie is compassionate about reforming demons and is the sweetest demon you could meet.
  • Nightmare Face: Her face sometimes shifts into a much more demonic looking one, with glowing red eyes, large horns sprouting from her head and razor sharp teeth with her mouth wide open. Whether she is purposely doing this or not is unclear but it does go to show that she truly is the Princess of Hell.
  • Older Than They Look: Having been born in hell, she's well over one hundred but she has the appearance of a young adult and her bubbly personality and lack of control regarding her people's opinion of her makes her seem even younger.
  • One Head Taller: A shot of her standing behind Vaggie in "Let's Misbehave" shows that Charlie appears to be this much taller than her girlfriend.
  • Playing with Fire: During her "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow" song she seems to conjure fire a couple of times.
  • Princess Classic: With her sweet altruistic pure personality and title, Charlie is pretty much an archetypical princess. And while she prefers suits over dresses, she still fits the mold. It's just that her domain happens to be Hell.
  • Punny Name: Her full name sounds a lot like "Charlemagne".
  • Really 700 Years Old: A family portrait of her is dated as 1871 implying she's well over a hundred years old.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: She's very nice, but her red eyes become very apparent when she embraces the devil side of herself.
  • Rousseau Was Right: Charlie, the only person born in Hell that we know of so far, is shown to be the kindest, nicest, most joyful person in the place. Growing up, she always tried to see the good in everything around her. As such, Charlie sincerly believes that every single demon has something good deep down inside. This is best demonstrated by her song "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow" which is basically Rousseau Was Right: The Song.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Seeing her people being slaughtered annually every year in response to Hell's Overpopulation Crisis, Charlie decides that as Hell's princess, she can't stand idly by while the place she lives in is subjected to such violence. Thusly, she embarks on a passion project to solve the problem in a more humane way via opening a hotel that rehabilitates sinners.
  • Slasher Smile: Despite being an All-Loving Hero she adopts a rather vicious one when her face shifts into its more demonic form.
  • Straight Gay: Well, straight Bi, but aside from her penchant for suits over dresses, she doesn't display any stereotypes and is rather girly outside of that.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Based on the pictures of her family around the hotel, she looks a bit like her mother, but also has a lot of her fathers features.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: While she may look like a perfectly normal human, Charlie is capable of transforming herself in a variety of ways to look more demonic such as growing horns and turning her eyes red.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: She honestly believes that every demon is redeemable and capable of going to Heaven.

    Vaggie
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vaggie2_by_toughdoge.png
Voiced by: Monica Franco

Charlie's girlfriend, who tries to support her despite her own doubts.

  • Amazing Technicolor Population: Her skin is ashen gray.
  • Animal Motif: Moths.
  • Badass Gay: Vaggie is a Spicy Latina with a penchant for bladed weapons who's in a relationship with the Princess of Hell.
  • Bilingual Bonus: She insults Alastor by calling him a "cabron hijo de perra"note .
  • Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: Confronts Alastor at spear-point in "Let's Misbehave", insulting the Radio Demon and attempting to stand in his way; the Cthulhu part comes in with implications that he's feared by the denizens of Hell and is both a skilled murderer and cunning mastermind. Vaggie, along with Charlie and Angel, are lucky that harm was never his intent, or that he didn't change his mind after being threatened, as he makes it perfectly clear that he is more than capable of doing so.
  • Eyepatch of Power: As part of her tough Latina character, she wears an eyepatch with a pink X.
  • Fashionable Asymmetry: Her left stocking has pink stripes while her right one is flat grey.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: She swears in Spanish when she confronts Alastor.
  • Hair Decorations: Vaggie has a big pink bow on the back of her head.
  • Hooker with a Heart of Gold: Was a prostitute in life, but doesn't seem to really be a bad person outside of that.
  • Humanoid Abomination: She's among the most human looking demons in Hell.
  • Knife Nut: Is described as favoring bladed weapons and uses a blade to stop Angel Dust from playing with the driver compartment window slider in the limo, with remarkable accuracy as well.
  • Ms. Exposition: Tells Angel Dust about who the Radio Demon is when he turns out to be clueless.
  • Only Sane Man: Seems to be her job. She handles calling out Angel Dust and rightly points out that letting the Radio Demon in is a bad idea.
  • Peek-a-Bangs: Her hairstyle covers the left side of her face. While how much of her face is covered can vary, only the pink X on her eyepatch is consistently seen through her hair.
  • Rapunzel Hair: She has long almost moth wing-like hair that goes down to her knees.
  • Scary Teeth: Like a lot of demons, she has a mouth full of sharp teeth that become more pronounced the more distressed she is.
  • Sour Supporter: She's doubtful of whether Charlie's ideas will remotely work, but is supportive regardless. She seems to support the hotel enough to where she chews out Angel Dust for weakening its chances in "Your Fault." During the Hazbin Hotel trailer, as Charlie breathes out nervously as she prepares to pitch her hotel, Vaggie can be seen smiling worriedly off camera but nods her head in encouragement and motions for Charlie to continue on.
  • Spicy Latina: She has a fiery temper and is Latina, since she found Angel Dust's "taco in a twist" remark racist and swears in Spanish when confronting Alastor.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Her reaction to when Charlie starts singing her pitch for the Happy Hotel.
  • Twofer Token Minority: Latina and lesbian.
  • Unfortunate Names: Her name is pretty much derived from "vagina".
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend:
    • Her response to when the camera demon called Charlie a "stupid bitch"? Slug him in the face.
    • When Alastor shows up at the hotel, Vaggie immediately threatens him with a spear to protect Charlie as she's completely aware of just how terrifying he is.

    Angel Dust
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/angel_dust_by_toughdoge.png
Voiced by: Michael Kovach, Seth Atkinson (Q&A Streams and Promos)

The Hotel's first patron. A crime lord and drag queen living off of sex, alcohol, and drugs, who opts to be the first demon the Hotel is to redeem.

    Alastor
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/all_you_are_6.png
Voiced by: Edward Bosco
Singing Voice: Seth Atkinson

Once a southern radio host and serial killer, Alastor is an infamously powerful entity in hell known as the "Radio Demon." He takes an interest in Charlie after seeing her on the news, and offers to help her with her hotel.

  • Affably Evil: He supports Charlie's idea for a hotel that redeems demons and seems like a polite and affable guy at first but most demons know not to associate with him and are rightly terrified of the Radio Demon. Although time will tell if he's this or Faux Affably Evil.
  • A Form You Are Comfortable With: Implied. His poster and shadow seem to show that he is actually far more monstrous that he first appears to be.
  • Ambiguously Evil: He was a serial killer in life and is known as a tyrant with cryptic goals yet he's the one who is backing the hotel.
  • Animalistic Abomination: Alastor is a deer demon.
  • Asexuality: A tweet by Viv for "Coming Out Day" alludes to Alastor being asexual based on the pride colors present in the skull above him.
  • "Awesome McCool" Name: "Alastor" means "avenger" in Greek in addition to just plain sounding intimidating and mysterious.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: He's a very sharp dresser, and also a remorseless killer. In life, he was a simple serial murderer, in Hell, he's implied to be something much worse.
  • Badass Boast: Less than a minute of him being at the Happy Hotel and Vaggie puts a spear to his throat and says she won't let him hurt anyone. His response? "Dear, if I wanted to hurt anyone here... I would have done so already." Driven home by the fact that he seems genuinely amused by her threat, like it's a joke.
  • Big Red Devil: While he's a deer rather than the usual goat motifs that are associated with the classic Satan, he's definitely quite tall, horned, wears red, and is incredibly dangerous.
  • Classy Cane: Has one with an old-style microphone on the end.
  • The Dreaded: Known as the "Radio Demon", Alastor is feared by most as an all-powerful tyrant who destroys anyone who stands in the way of his cryptic goals. Even Charlie is shown to be afraid of him, even though she is the daughter of Lucifer and the Princess of Hell itself.
  • Eldritch Abomination: The "wearing a humanoid suit" variation.
  • Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: He apparently hadn't been as entertained as he was during Charlie's musical number at the TV studio since the Stock Market Crash of 1929, and chuckles as he says "so many orphans".
  • Evil Laugh: Gives us a rather chilling chuckle at the end of the first trailer. "Stay tuned, folks" indeed.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: He's a powerful demon who broadcasts his acts of carnage over the radio so everyone can witness his abilities. Vaggie even notes how lazy his title as the "Radio Demon" is during an otherwise serious explanation of his past and power to Angel Dust.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: The visual glitching during his Nightmare Face shows an even creepier Nightmare Face with no pupils, pinpoint glowing irises against black sclera, and blood dripping from his mouth.
  • Forced to Watch: He got his epitaph from broadcasting the carnage of his rise to power for all the denizens of Hell to see.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Somehow quickly went from just another sinner to one of the most powerful and feared beings in Hell, toppling powerful demons who had reigned over their territories for ages and broadcasting his acts of carnage.
  • Hidden Agenda Villain: So far, it's unclear why a feared tyrant would be backing a hotel geared towards solving the overpopulation crisis. He's even stated to have cryptic goals that only he knows.
  • High-Class Glass: He wears a monocle.
  • Horned Humanoid: He has a small set of antlers on his head and if his warning poster/shadow are any indication, they may actually be much larger.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Due to his reputation and the power he wields, most demons that know of Alastor are absolutely terrified of him.
  • Humanoid Abomination: He resembles a human with blood red hair and eyes, antlers and a mouthful of razor sharp teeth but he's one of the most feared beings in Hell.
  • If I Wanted You Dead...: When Vaggie threatens him, he looks more amused than anything. He then makes it very clear that if he truly had ill intent, she'd be powerless to stop him.
Alastor: Dear, if I wanted to hurt anyone here... (cue Nightmare Face) ... I would have done so already.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: He's a deer demon that has a taste for eating deer.
  • Inexplicably Awesome: Apparently part of the reason he's so feared is that he's managed to wield power no mortal soul has even been known to do so before, and nobody knows how.
  • Killer Rabbit: Killer Animal Motif, really, but it's somewhat surprising that The Dreaded Radio Demon former serial killer is a deer of all things.
  • Large Ham: He talks as if he's still a 1930's radio host, complete with a bombastic inflection and over the top personality.
  • Little Bit Beastly: He's a deer demon but apart from deer ears and antlers, he looks human.
  • Motor Mouth: He speaks in a fast, upbeat manner much like a 30s radio host, which was his occupation during life.
  • Mysterious Backer: The "Radio Demon" is the being that kick-starts Charlie's project. No one knows exactly why, though...
  • Nightmare Face: He does this frequently, one of his best gives him black sclera, radio dials for pupils, and a massive fanged smile.
  • Older Than They Look: He died in the 30s yet still looks like a man in his 30s.
  • Outside-Context Problem: As Vaggie puts it, Alastor has wielded more power than any demon not born in Hell has ever had since his first day in damnation.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Alastor is always seen smiling, with a Slasher Smile no less. A tweet from the official Hazbin twitter accounts explains that this is because Alastor believes that smiling shows power and dominance. He as well looks down on anyone who let's their other emotions show. Thus even when faced with a rival in strength, if they let slip a frown, he will see them as weak.
  • Radio Voice: Fitting for the one they call "Radio Demon", Alastor's voice sounds as if he's talking on the radio. When he starts upping the ante on his intimidation game, it subtly starts becoming more prominent until it borders on Computer Voice.
  • Red and Black and Evil All Over: Fitting for a serial killer, he has a predominant red and black color scheme.
  • Red Baron: "The Radio Demon".
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: His eyes have blood-red sclera and bright red irises. He was a serial killer in life and is notorious enough in Hell to have posters warning demons to stay away from him.
  • Scare Chord: His introduction has this, as does his brief Nightmare Face slip.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Alastor's one killer dresser - emphasis on "killer".
  • Serial Killer: He was one in life.
  • The Shadow Knows: His shadow moves and reacts during Charlie's song.
  • Slasher Smile: Alastor always has a psychotic grin on his face. It's terrifying, especially when he takes note of Charlie during "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow."
  • Token Evil Teammate: Alastor is this for the Happy Hotel staff. Charlie is genuinely trying to help her people, Vaggie, though skeptical, still supports her, Angel Dust willingly volunteered to be redeemed and give the Hotel a shot at gaining traction, and Husk is just doing his job. Alastor, however, is a widely feared tyrant who everyone knows not to mess with. Even though he's backing the hotel, it's highly unlikely he's doing it out of any altruism.
  • Voice of the Legion: His voice grows deeper and the distortion effects on it grow more intense when he responds to Vaggie threatening him.
  • Wingding Eyes: His Nightmare Face turns his pupils into radio dials, making it even more terrifying than it already is.

Hell

    Katie Killjoy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/katie_killjoy.png
Voiced by: Faye Mata

A newscaster who's rather on the pessimistic side and ridicules Charlie's goals.

  • Alliterative Name: Katie Killjoy.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Downplayed, but she tends to be more affable on air than when off of it, probably due to image concerns.
  • Extreme Omnivore: She swallows a literal tooth and nail.
  • Hartman Hips: She has a very thin stomach and large hips.
  • It's All About Me: Only cares about her image and the hottest stories.
  • Jerkass: She's an incredibly snobbish and arrogant woman who only cares about her image and the latest buzz, and actively puts down Charlie for her goal in making Hell a much better place. She also appears to regularly assault her co-newscaster, Tom, and tells him to "suck it up, bitch" after pouring piping hot coffee on his lap.
  • Lady Swearsalot: While the other characters aren't necessarily clean in their vocabulary, she drops quite a bit more F-bombs and S-bombs.
  • Literal Metaphor: Her swallowing a tooth and nail was done in tandem to making a comment about how Cherri and Sir Pentious were fighting "tooth and nail" for new territory after the recent extermination.
  • Losing Your Head: Upon rushing back to her seat when Charlie's interview goes live, Katie's neck just randomly snaps in half from the momentum and her head flops to the side at a right angle while still partially attached to the rest of her body. The whole thing is completely treated as nothing by Katie.
  • Meaningful Name: Katie Killjoy is so appropriately named as she's a massive bitch to practically everyone. She's just generally nasty and makes everyone miserable from putting down Charlie to regularly assaulting her co-newscaster.
  • Neck Snap: When Charlie's interview goes live, Katie rushes back to her seat and her neck snaps from the momentum. Despite bone protruding and her head flopping to the side from this, she continues on as if nothing happened.
  • Rich Bitch: Katie is a massive jerkass that doesn't care about anyone else on the grounds that she's a successful newscaster. This is exemplified when she explains to Charlie that she's "too rich and too influential to give a flying fuck about what some tux wearing demon princess wants to advertise", despite Charlie literally being Lucifer's daughter.
  • Silly Rabbit, Idealism Is for Kids!: Her name is Katie Killjoy for a reason.
Katie Killjoy: What in the nine circles makes you think a single denizen of Hell would give two shits about becoming a better person?
  • Visual Pun: When Charlie's interview goes live, Katie's neck breaks from the momentum of her quickly rushing back to her seat. In other words, she rushed back at "breakneck" speed.

    Sir Pentious
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sir_pentious_0.jpg
Voiced by: Will Stamper

A slithering tryhard, Sir Pentious is a Victorian inventor who constantly attempts to take over Hell yet has failed many times in the past. Using his machines, minions, and various attempts to be hip, this notable kingpin hopes to seize control of Hell and make everyone know his name.

  • Adorable Evil Minions: His Egg Bois are far more adorable than intimidating.
  • Animalistic Abomination: Sir Pentious is a demonic Naga.
  • Arch-Enemy: He and Cherri Bomb are locked in a fierce turf war.
  • Bad Boss: He doesn't treat his minions too well, often harming and insulting them.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: He thinks he's big enough to take over Hell, but can't go the distance. At best, he's a super villain-like kingpin who's served by a following of sycophantic Egg Bois. Other than that, he's no conqueror as he has constantly failed to become Hell's ruler.
  • Bring It: When Cherri challenges him to a fight, Sir Pentious responds with a statement whilst using Air Quotes.
Sir Pentious: Oh, you want to go, missy? Well, I'm happy to oblige!
  • Dark Is Evil: Has the darkest clothing and overall color scheme of the main cast and is set to be an antagonistic figure.
  • Evil Brit: He's from the Victorian ages and speaks in a goofy British accent.
  • Expressive Hair: Sir Pentious' hair acts like a cobra hood and goes up when he's emotional.
  • Extra Eyes: In addition to his two regular eyes, Sir Pentious has multiple other eyes strewn all over his body.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: Sir Pentious has eyes on his lower body, on his chest, on his hat, and in his hair.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: He was a Victorian inventor in life, and in death he continues to put his machines to work trying to conquer Hell.
  • Large Ham: Competes for the most bombastic character we've seen so far, and that is saying something. Having Will Stamper provide your voice will do that.
  • Lean and Mean: Everything on the top half of his body from his torso to his neck is extremely skinny.
  • Nice Hat: Wears a large top hat that is apparently also alive, complete with an eye and fanged mouth much like Pentious' own.
  • Ominous Pipe Organ: He plays a snake-themed pipe organ he bought from a catalog.
  • Pet the Dog: He's more than happy to throw his Egg Bois around, but he's also willing to fix their broken toys, as confirmed by Viv on this fanart.
  • Punny Name: Sir Pentious as in he's a serpent. It's more obvious if you shorten 'Pentious' to 'Pent'. His name also bares a resemblance to pretentious which means attempting to impress by affecting greater importance than is actually possessed, a thing that perfectly describes Pentious' tryhard character.
  • Really 700 Years Old: He died in 1888 and has been in Hell trying to take over since then.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He is a notable kingpin and inventor who aims to conquer Hell, and the multiple eyes all over his body are red.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: If nothing else, he at least manages to compete with Alastor in this regard with his pin-striped jacket and top hat combo. No pants though obviously.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: He is a snake demon, and very much evil and creepy.
  • Snake People: Sir Pentious is a snake demon.
  • Sssssnake Talk: He tends to draw and hiss out his sibilants when speaking. Makes sense, since he's a snake.
  • Take Over the World: Has tried to conquer Hell several times yet has constantly failed.
  • Too Many Mouths: Along with his regular mouth, his hat also has a mouth.
  • Totally Radical: He tries to keep up with the times culturally, emphasis on "tries". As a prime example, the picture of him used in the news report is him badly dressed like a teenager and holding a skateboard over his shoulder by the wheel in a similar manner to how Steve Buscemi's character from 30 Rock went undercover.
  • Sycophantic Servant: His Egg Bois are fully devoted to him despite his abuses.

    Cherri Bomb
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cherri_trailer.png
Voiced by: Krystal LaPorte

Cherri Bomb is a self-proclaimed spunky powerhouse and Angel Dust's girl buddy. She regularly engages in turf wars and taught Angel everything he knows.

  • Arch-Enemy: She and Sir Pentious often engage in turf wars.
  • Cartoon Bomb: The bombs she frequently uses are small red handheld cartoon looking ones that resemble cherries.
  • Cyclops: She has one eye with a yellow x shaped pupil.
  • Evil Mentor: Not exactly "evil" by the common definition, but she does enable, encourage, and collaborate with her student, Angel Dust, when it comes to crime.
  • Punny Name: If "Cherri Bomb" was any more of a pun on explosives...
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Her cyclops eye has a blood-red sclera and a thin iris/pupil of yellow in the shape of an "x". She's easily one of the more frightening-looking demons, and is extremely dangerous and destructive.
  • Slasher Smile: Her appearances in the trailer show her sporting a wide one full of sharp teeth like Alastor's, made more unsettling by her giant, blood-red cyclops eye that takes up most of her face.
  • Tattooed Crook: As part of her criminal character, Cherri's right arm is completely tattooed. Due to limitations in animation however, her tattoos are much more simplified on the show than what they're meant to be as explained by Viv in a twitter post showcasing a quick doodle of Cherri with more properly drawn out tattoos.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: She tends to use small red cherry-like bombs.
  • Tomboyish Ponytail: Cherri is a spunky Dark Action Girl demon who wears part of her hair in a ponytail.

    Lucifer

Lucifer is the ruler of Hell and is Charlie's father. A white demon in a white and red attire, he can be seen along with Charlie's mother in several pictures in the "Let's Misbehave" clip. His name was confirmed in an amino post by the vocal director for Hazbin Hotel.

  • Animal Motifs: Alongside an apple motif, snakes are featured as a prominent motif of Lucifer's and all things remotely associated with him though it's to a slightly lesser extent to the apple one.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: He along with Charlie's mother can be seen in the various background pictures in the "Let's Misbehave" clip.
  • Man in White: White is the most prominent color in his outfit besides red.
  • Satan: Aptly named Lucifer, he's the ruler of all of Hell.
  • Sharp-Dressed Man: Various portraits with him has Lucifer dressed in a very dapper white suit.
  • Tempting Apple: Apples are presented as a very prominent motif for Lucifer and all things remotely associated with him. From his apparel to the very decor used in his daughter's hotel, apples are strongly featured. This along with the other pronounced motif of snakes is a clear reference to the biblical Forbidden Fruit, an appropriate symbol for the head honcho of Hell.
