These are recommendations made by tropers for Hazbin Hotel fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. After a few samples, you will be able to note the interests of the tropers recommending them, and judge whether you might be also interested in a certain 'fic.

Synopsis: A series of detective thrillers involving a Hungry Ghost Sinner named Chay Ong and her afterlife in Hell. Largely stationed in Imp City and working as a private investigator, she finds herself dragged into the machinations of one of Hell's most infamous Overlords after a group of Imp terrorists she's allied with accidentally kills an informant.
Comments: Part of the fun of this series is all of the historical references. There also seems to be the subtle suggestion that, although this is still the Hellaverse as we know it, it has also been drastically altered in a few key ways, suggesting an alternate timeline.

The Boy Who Lost Wonderland Then Stole It Back, by Queen_of_Plot_Twists

Synopsis: After the traumatic loss of his adopted family, Angel Dust falls into a coma, and wakes up in Wonderland. Though it is far from how it was depicted in the story book. Darker, twisted, with all the characters being oddly familiar to him. With the aid of new allies, he seeks to find the "mysterious "Golden Afternoon", currently kept by the cruel Queen of Hearts, and escape before Wonderland is destroyed by the monstrous Fright Train or the "The Jabbawock Moth" hunts him down.
Comments: A really fun version of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland told with the cast of Hazbin Hotel with heavy influences from American McGee's Alice. Leans heavily in AU territory, as the cast are all human, with their more signature hellified versions being the basis for the Wonderland counterparts, but that only adds to the charm. Angel makes for a great protagonist as he struggles through his guilt, with the help of his friends both in Wonderland and the Real world. The new Wonderland is expertly showcased, being weird and creepy but still recognizable. Highly recommended.

Comments: Very entertaining little one-shot with some very funny and perfectly in-character writing. A great slice of life fluff for any Hazbin fan.

Comments: A great angst-fit centered around Cherri Bomb, diving into her reaction to Sir Pentious' death, her grief, and her slow road to recovering from the loss.

Comments: A bittersweet tale about Sir Pentious struggling to fit into Heaven after the finale. His friendships with Molly & Emily are very sweet and his journey through hills and valleys, struggling to fit in, is very well told.

With emotions running high, the Vees breathing down their necks and Alastor scheming in the background, will things work out for the good Sir Pentious and his friends and family at the hotel?

Comments: The original source of the 'Dad Alastor' Au, Growing Up Impish is a fun and chaotic fic that does a great job of portraying the familial bonds Moxxie shares with his adopted family and even throws in a good deal of drama for added spice. Trust me, this is one of the best Hazbin Hotel fics out there right now.

After I.M.P.'s commercial is seen by a certain hotel owning princess, Moxxie's true identity comes to light and several uncomfortable truths are unearthed along with it. This is the story of the runaway prince of Hell: Moxxie Morningstar.
Comments: inspired by the 'Dad Alastor' AU found in Growing Up Impish, this fic takes that idea and cranks it up to even higher levels of absurdity by making Moxxie the adopted son of Lilith and Lucifer Morningstar as well as Charlie's brother, it's only in it's early stages but the fic is off to a great start thus far.

Synopsis: Yoshikage Kira winds up in hell and, unsurprisingly, doesn't much care for it. With his new home totally incompatible with his preferred lifestyle, Kira is left with few options. But news of a hotel, one that redeems sinners, promises an alternative.
Comments: An excellent fic from start to finish, all the characters are pitch-perfect, the story is tight and engaging, and the dialogue crackles. You won't go into this fic shipping Angel Dust and Yoshikage Kira but you'll sing a different tune after finishing it. No NSFW, but a lot of humorous moments and excellent stand battles.

Synopsis: Starting after the pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel and six years before the end of the world, Crowley finds himself stuck in Hell due to a broken escalator. At Beelzebub's insistence he decides to leave the office building while he's waiting for it to be fixed and head out into Hell. While searching for a quiet place to pass the time drinking he finds himself at a strange new hotel.
Comments: Great fic so far. Both Charlie and Crowley are in character and their interactions together so far are rather sweet. Lots of potential for this story, looking forward to seeing it continued.

Comments: An action-packed story that does good at exploring the idea of the Hazbinverse and Doomverse meeting. While it focuses a bit more on the Doom elements, it might still tickle some Hazbin fans.

The Lamb knew this was nigh impossible, for what cult could function without a leader? Despite knowing this, he still prayed for a break from his taxing work. Comments: Basically, the lamb from cult of the lamb decides to go to hell in order to get a break from the monotony of being an eldritch god-king. Even if you go in fandom blind, this is a delightfully chaotic read that fills the reader in on the story of cult of the lamb before unleashing the title character on hell in all his cutely psychotic glory.

It isn't long before they start dating and become close. But as "Luciuos Magne" attempts to keep his true nature a secret from the mortal, just as she tried to hide the more weird aspects of her daughters from him, things only get more weird and comedic from there.
Comments: Despite it being centered around a Crack Ship, the author does an incredible job making the premise work. Lucifer & Camila's chemistry is genuinely sweet as is seeing them attempt to navigate through this relationship. Everyone feels incredibly in character and the mix of comedy, angst and romance is handled very well.

Her husband, King Lucifer Morningstar, was initially reluctant about it until he started to get fond of him as well. This is Prince Harry Morningstar's story.
Comments: A very well-written story. Manages to capture whimsical nature of the Wizarding World while also capturing very well the comedy of the Hellaverse. The relationship between Charlie and Harry is very endearing and doesn't get too sappy.

Comments: As per usual, Tanya manipulates others by pretending to be a child. Still, she managed to seek vengeance against Mary Sue, gain her soul, and, with Striker's help, gain both Stolas & Stella's souls!

Comments: Easily the most famous fan song for the series to this day and for good reason. The beat, which switches between soft and almost mellow to a much harsher sounding track perfectly represents Alastor himself, being a seemingly charming figure who is just barely hiding his true colors. While nothing tops the original, NateWantsToBattle's cover isn't too bad either.

Comments: There's a reason why everyone is calling for Nate to voice a character in one of Vivzie's shows. While not Alastor's style in the show, Nate manages to craft a song that one could easily picture the Radio Demon himself quite enjoying, as it perfectly hypes of Alastor as a sadistic deal maker who will screw over anyone to get his kicks.

Gryph0n and Bassik do an extremely good job at getting across Alastor's utter sadism, as well as the fact he knows that he's well Beyond Redemption, but he couldn't care less. After all, if he can still have his fun, what's the point in stopping and not taking down everyone who gets in his way?

Comments: A much softer sounding song, yet it still works for the series. The singer, after landing in hell, wonders just want is next in this crazy world and, by extension, how much they could do. Unlike the other songs listed, this one is great at summing up the world overall and could honestly fit as a theme song to the show once it's made.

Comments: An absolute banger, with a great vaudeville-style number, from Alastor & Charlie (with her singing voice and everything). Matches their personalities perfectly, and it's so much fun seeing the two owners of the hotel play off each other with their wildly different goals. A short but sun rump.

Comments: A somber jazz/rock song by the grumpy, bitter gambler Husk, reflecting on his life and how he views himself as a hopeless cause, too far gone for any chance to redeem himself. All the while the hopeful but pleading Charlie trying to reach out to him despite it all. The guitar and drum beat really bring the song, leading to a rocking beat and ending chorus, about a man with no faith in himself contempt to just to live his broken life.

Comments: An great rock duet, featuring Alastor and Charlie; Alastor attempting to tempt the princess into a deal into him, all the while Charlie tries to get him to become something beyond a sadistic dealmaker. Incredible beat aside and music aside, the song does a great job establishing both of the demon's desire and works incredibly well as they try to get the other to see their point of view. Their individual parts sound great and their duets are amazing.

Comments: An Angel Dust fan song on par with Addict! ParanoidDJ sounds so close to Kovac at parts it's scary, and his singing is fantastic. The club-like music is incredibly fitting as Angel Dust sings about his life, and how despite his situation, his addictions and his messed up life, he's not as helpless as one might think and that he's determined to make the most of it and have fun along the way.
- Also has a one year anniversary version called Use Me Up VIP with mostly the same lyrics and theme, though with a new second verse, with Angel promising to one day get his revenge on Valentino.

Comments: A Hazbin Hotel Villain Song from Valentino of the Triple Vs. Paranoid's haunting voice for Valentino is chilling and terrifying. The rap number works incredibly well establishing him as a truly controlling business man, star maker, master of sex and manipulator, bragging about his power not only over Angel but the Ring of Pride itself. Very fitting to the monstrous moth-man.

Comments: A great, upbeat song from the Radio Demon himself, showing how Alastor charms and talks people into accepting deals from him. Has a nice middle section from Husk, but Al steals the show with his bouncy, electric swing number. The lyrics are fun, the beat is catchy and the song overall is a wonderful display of Alastor's personality and salesman ship, showing he cares little for the consequences of the ones he deals with.

Comments: This song is simply a fun, rocking beat, perfectly matching the devil-may-care, bombastic and wild spitfire that is Cherri Bomb. The lyrics does a great job establishing her simple desire to have a blast, for however long she manages to stay alive, living her afterlife to the fullest. While establishing a reputation and getting into a fight or two while she's at it. Has a short but great animated bit near the end. And as a bonus it ends on a touching tribute to the late, great Chris Ayres.

Comments: Yet another excellent song by Paranoid, this one being a Villain Song for Sir Pentious. It is heinoussssly catchy, combining classical instruments with synths, all with Pentious being a delightful ham from beginning to end. Plus halfway through it turns into a rap battle between him and Cherri Bomb.

Comments: This song was written as a bittersweet send-off by the original cast from the Hazbin Hotel Pilot and a proverbial passing of the torch to the new Amazon cast.
