    Infernites
Based on fire, the Infernites have their home in the magma wastelands near the center of the earth, a place full of molten lava, rivers of fire, and lots of lovely smoke. So far, nobody else has dared to travel into this molten homeland. In fact, just thinking about it might cause third degree burns!

The tribe as a whole

Flain

Voiced by: Tom Kenny

Zorch

Voiced by: David P. Smith
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: Notable in that he's one of the only characters to actually have eyebrows.
  • Brutal Honesty: Quick to point out to Lunk how slow he was when he beat him to the titular elevator in "Elevator". He also said he wasn't a "dum-dum" when it came to the eponymous sport of "Rockball".
  • Deadpan Snarker: He once called Rockball a game for "dum-dums".
  • Disembodied Eyebrows: In animated form, it's a separate bar on his figurine.
  • Farts on Fire: His jet boosters are heavily implied to be coming from his rear.
  • Fragile Speedster: In Calling All Mixels, his punch attacks are very fast, but he can go down easily during the defense missions if left alone.
  • Friction Burn: Along with the jet boosters, he leaves a stream of fire when he runs.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: He's very rude and annoying, and as a result, the other Mixels don't really like him.
  • The Gadfly: He annoys the other Mixels with his pranks just to amuse himself.
  • Jerkass: He feels no remorse of how his actions affect others, though sometimes he can be a...
  • Karma Houdini: He once pranked Vulk, mixed with Seismo and wrecked their respective homes, and his reward is a coconapple that Seismo wanted.
  • Nice Mean And In Between: The Mean (The rude and annoying prankster).
  • Pride: Zorch will occasionally drop quips on how better he thinks he can be over other Mixels. Some examples include "Rockball", where he refused to play because he wasn't a "dum-dum", and "Elevator", where he makes fun of Lunk for being too slow after he beats the latter to the elevator to Balk's birthday party.
  • Punny Name: Of "zoom" and "torch".
  • The Prankster: The others don't really appreciate him that much thanks to this.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The lazy, rambunctious Red Oni to Flain's mature, reasonable Blue Oni.
  • Super-Speed: His main superpower, he uses it to be a mailman as well.

Vulk

Voiced by: Jess Harnell

  • Bad Liar: In "Rockball", we get this little exchange:
    Flain: Vulk?
Vulk: (Ears perk up) "Uhhh... Well, um... You know, um... I'm, um, busy... (laughs nervously)
  • The Cutie: Not as much as Scorpi, though he has his share of moments as well. One of his bios even describe him as lovable!
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Dumb Muscle: As stated in his bio, he is dim-witted.
  • Elemental Punch: His hands are superheated to let out scorching ones.
  • Expressive Ears: Cat-like ones that droop down when he's upset.
  • Gentle Giant: Is the strongest out of the other Infernites, but his heart burns the brightest.
  • Nice Guy: In "Hot Lava Shower", he apologizes to Krader and Teslo after he and the other Infernites burn their butt and mouth, respectively, and goes out for ice cream to cool off their burns. As said, "ice cream makes everything better".
  • Nice Mean And In Between: The Nice (shy, awkward and lovable).
  • Punny Name: From Vulcan, the god of fire and volcanoes.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: In "Pothole", Vulk acts as the saner and calmer Blue Oni in contrast to Zaptor's crazed and energetic Red Oni.
  • Shrinking Violet: He's very shy and awkward, and it turns out to be so endearing.

The 2015 members. From left to right: Meltus, Flamzer, Burnard

Meltus

Voiced by: Jess Harnell

Flamzer:

Voiced by: Rodger Bumpass
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: It shoots out burning flames.
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Fairly dry in his intonation when he's not freaking out, such as this conversation with Naut:
Flamzer: Huh, so much for the "hideous vaccum of space"!
  • Nervous Wreck: Ridiculously skittish and thinks everything is dangerous.
  • Punny Name: Of "flame".
  • Super-Speed: Out of fear, to the point he's near impossible to catch in his scared state.

Burnard:

Voiced by: Jess Harnell
  • Big Eater: Manages to eat cupcakes and paper cups in one bite, though he blows a gasket in the process.
  • Big Ol' Unibrow: Very pronounced in cartoon form. In the LEGO version, it's a bar piece.
  • Breath Weapon: He breathes fire.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: From possessing a broad sense of humor to disregarding commands in favor of mischief, he's basically this.
  • Punny Name: His name comes from "burn" and "Bernard".
  • The Hyena: EVERYTHING is funny to him and he can't stop laughing, even through fear or sadness. However, his laughter has a Weaksauce Weakness: the only way to make him stop is to tell him a funny joke...only because he doesn't get it.
  • Super Smoke: Can make tangible smoke ropes.

    Cragsters
Based on stones, the industrious Cragsters are a tribe of miners who live in the many tunnels and caverns they have dug under the surface of the world. They smash, they dig, they are great to have around. Unless, of course, you have lots of fine china!
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_cragsters.png
From left to right: Krader, Shuff, Seismo

The tribe as a whole

Krader

Voiced by: David P. Smith
  • Big Ol' Eyebrows: Sports a pair in the cartoon and the LEGO version.
  • Brains and Brawn: The Brawn to Flain and Teslo's Brains.
  • Butt-Monkey: Out of all Mixels, Krader's been injured a lot. He got his butt burned, zapped by the Electroids, and set himself on fire when he Murped with Flain.
  • Cheshire Cat Grin: A subversion. His grin goes from eye to eye most of the time, but it's not out of mischief, but rather when he's happy or content.
  • Elemental Punch: His right arm is larger than his left for rock-shattering punches.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: According to his bio, Krader has a short fuse.
  • The Leader: Of his tribe.
  • Punny Name: Of "crater".
  • Real Men Wear Pink: This seems to be the case for Krader in "Epic Comedy Adventure", when he describes the giant Rainbow Cubit on top of Mixel Mountain. Apparently, his image of Mixel Mountain is a mountain with an Animesque happy face on it, set in a stereotypical Sugar Bowl setting. Then when we get a first look at Mixel Mountain, it shows otherwise.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The tough, short-tempered Red Oni to Teslo's mature and smart Blue Oni.
  • The Right Hand of Doom: It's huge and powerful compared to his tiny left one.
  • This Is a Drill: He can turn his right hand into a giant dill to burrow.
  • Unusual Eyebrows: They're seated on top of his head, both in the cartoon version and the LEGO version. In the LEGO version, they're even two black car pieces.

Seismo

Voiced by: Tom Kenny

Shuff

Voiced by: Jess Harnell

    Electroids
Based on electricity, the Electroids live in towers high up in the mountains to stay as close as possible to the lightning storms that energize them (and make them kind of crazy at the same time).
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/electroids_9339.png
From left to right: Volectro, Zaptor, Teslo

The tribe as a whole

Teslo

Voiced by: Tom Kenny
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: He can shock with it, use it to scale heights, and it makes a handy flashlight.
  • Brains and Brawn: The Brains to Krader's Brawn.
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Ironic Fear: His fear of heights, thanks to living in the high mountains to collect electric storm energy.
  • The Leader: Of his tribe.
  • Only Sane Man: Seems to be the case in "Changing a Lightbulb", where he was the only Electroid that wasn't afraid of the dark and also came up with smart ideas.
  • Punny Name: Of "Tesla coil".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The wise and responsible Blue Oni to Krader's short-fused and tough Red Oni.
  • Shorter Means Smarter: The smallest member of his tribe, and the smartest at the same time, which is why he's the leader.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: He's afraid of heights, which doesn't help with his habitat. The other Electroids secretly know about his fear, but they pretend not to.

Volectro

Voiced by: David P. Smith
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: He's very goofy and scatterbrained, but he sure can help out.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: He is a scatter-brained jokester who has been shocked one too many times, according to his bio. He's crazy as a result of this.
  • Dumb Blonde: Has shades of this, especially with his scatterbrained nature.
  • Elemental Hair Colors: He has yellow hair that stands on end thanks to pent up static electricity.
  • Genius Ditz: He's scatterbrained, but given that he's an Electroid, he's also smart.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: The hairs that stand on Volectro's head are a golden color, and he's one of the nicest Mixels as well.
  • Keet: He's just as hyped up and energetic as his element.
  • Laughing Mad: His laughter makes him seem like he's insane, which is saying a lot about his traits.
  • Punny Name: Of "volt" and "electro".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The spirited red to Shuff's quiet blue.
  • Robot Hair: Stands up in thick pipe-like strands. He even wears a shower cap over them.
  • Static Electricity: He's horribly pent up with it, which is why his hair stands on end. However, he's managed to harness it as a weapon and can zap others with his fingers and can attract things towards him at his command. Unfortunately, he has no control over what will attract to him...
  • Suddenly Shouting: Has horrible volume control and shifts between speaking and screaming regularly.
  • The Trickster: He's a jokester who loves playing tricks on other Mixels.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Afraid of the dark.

Zaptor

Voiced by: Jess Harnell
  • Big Eater: He can down Hamlogna sandwiches like nobody's business.
  • Greed: His love for Hamlogna sandwiches can blind him from the feelings of others. This is shown best in "Hamlogna Conveyor Belt Madness", where he amps up the speed of the sandwich-making just so he could enjoy more sandwiches without considering the effort Lunk and Tentro makes onto producing the sandwiches. Then Zaptor gets his comeuppance when Jawg demolishes his Hamlogna sandwiches.
  • Flanderization: Zaptor in the early Series One shorts was involved in a couple of jokes like enjoying dance parties and caring about blemishes to the environment to a dangerous extent. After "Changing a Lightbulb" had him lose focus in favor of finding a hamlogna sandwich, basically every joke involving him afterward had to do with hamlogna sandwiches.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Very selfish and greedy when it comes to hamlogna sandwiches, but also very fun-loving and helpful to his friends and tribemates.
  • Keet: The super-charged adrenaline junkie of the Electroids.
  • Large Ham: He even went into a speech about how potholes harmed the environment!
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Him eating up all the Hamlogna sandwiches was what started up the plot of "Epic Comedy Adventure" in the first place. Subverted when it's the reason why the leaders (except Jawg who Gobba takes place instead) don't get nixed
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Loves telling jokes and lightening the mood.
  • Punny Name: Of "zap" and "raptor".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: In "Pothole", Zaptor acts as the crazier Red Oni as opposed to Vulk's more saner Blue Oni.
  • Screams Like a Little Girl: In "Cookironi", Zaptor had a noticeably high-pitched scream when he ran from the Cragsters Max.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Hamlogna sandwiches.
  • Unexplained Accent: It's vaguely Austrian.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Afraid of the dark.

    Frosticons
Based on ice. Slow-moving and chillaxed, the Frosticons spend most of their time power napping in sub-zero temperatures.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/frosticons_1287.png
The 2014 members. From left to right: Flurr, Lunk, Slumbo

The tribe as a whole

Flurr

Voiced by: Phil LaMarr

Slumbo

Voiced by: Fred Tatasciore

Lunk

Voiced by: Billy West
  • Determinator: One of his bios state that where he lacks speed and smarts, he makes up for it with tenacious spirit. This is best seen in "Elevator", where he kept walking over to the elevator that would take him to Balk's birthday party even though he was slow. Then he mixed with Tentro and launched himself up to the party, where he crashed through Balk's birthday cake and gave him an already-melted present.
  • Dumb Muscle: He's strong, but he's really slow, both in speed and thinking.
  • Mighty Glacier: He's very strong and durable thanks to an ice exoskeleton, but he's the slowest Mixel out there.
  • Nasal Weapon: He has ice-solid snot that launches out freezing cold sneezes that can freeze Nixels and blast icicles.
  • Nose Nuggets: Often has frozen snot coming out of his nose like icicles. Some of his mixes take advantage of it.
  • Punny Name: Comes from the word "lunk".
  • Simpleton Voice: To fit his slow nature.

Krog

Voiced by: Dave Fennoy

Chilbo

Voiced by: Griffin Burns

Snoof

Voiced by: Daran Norris

Narrator

Voiced by: Rodger Bumpass
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/narratorpicfortvtropes.png
A Frosticon professor used as the narrator for the classic film Mixing, So That's How It's Done!.
  • Spirit Advisor: Acts as one to Camillot, his message from the film shows in almost a ghost-like imagination figment to him.
  • The Stoic: Very flat in his intonation, and never changes his expression.
  • Toyless Toyline Character: Is a show-only character.

    Fang Gang
Based on eating (and wood), the Fang Gang is the group with the biggest appetite, and they can get seriously crazy on an empty stomach.
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fang_gang_5916.png
From left to right: Gobba, Jawg, Chomly

The tribe as a whole

Jawg

Voiced by: Fred Tatasciore

Gobba

Voiced by: Billy West
  • Keet: Gets very excited easily and is very energetic.
  • The Lancer: For some reason, in the "Epic Comedy Adventure" segment of the Mixed Up Special, Gobba goes with Flain, Krader, Teslo, Flurr, and Kraw rather than Jawg. This implies that he leads the Fang Gang in Jawg's absence.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: In the "Epic Comedy Adventure" section of the "Mixed Up Special", Gobba wastes the emergency cubit with Kraw so the latter wouldn't be bored, when he could have realized that the cubit was meant for a real emergency.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: It's whip-like and super-sensitive to taste.
  • Punny Name: Of "gobble".
  • Scarily Competent Tracker: His tongue is so sensitive, it can be used like a bloodhound for the gang.
  • Tastes Like Purple: Can supposedly taste feelings with his super-sensitive tongue. Sadness tastes salty!
  • Too Dumb to Live: He ends up wasting his group's only cubit with Kraw because Kraw was bored.

Chomly

Voiced by: Phil LaMarr
  • Berserk Button: He wants fun in any way, so don't ruin it for him.
  • Breath Weapon: His breath is super-stinky and repels Nixels.
  • Gonk: Bordering along this trope and Ugly Cute, Chomly seems to be the least pleasant looking compared to the other Mixels.
  • Karma Houdini: He managed to get away from murping Slumbo and Flain to get revenge. Averted when he murped Slumbo and Kraw for more high fives.
  • Mad Eye: Even though many Mixels have pupils of varied sizes and thicknesses to each other, Chomly's is the most noticeable, with one drawn ridiculously thin and the other almost completely black.
  • The Mentally Disturbed: Drools all the time, and quite possibly has anger issues.
  • Punny Name: Of "chomp".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The crazy and energetic Red Oni to Slumbo's more laid-back and lazy Blue Oni.
  • Sanity Slippage: Seemed to veer into this territory in "High Five", complete with a crazed expression on his face.
  • Stomach of Holding: Can carry nearly anything in it, from logs to cubits.
  • Weaponized Stench: Chomly, who acts as a living trash compactor, has horrible breath. He uses this as an attack, keeping Nixels at bay. It is also utilized as two of his attacks in the Calling All Mixels game.
  • You Need a Breath Mint: His breath horribly repels others thanks to his eating habits.

    Flexers
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flexers_1126.png
From left to right: Kraw, Balk, Tentro
Based on rubber. On the surface, they appear to be wild and dangerous, but in reality, the super stretchy Flexers are a real clever and thoughtful bunch.

The tribe as a whole

  • Animal Motifs: Loosely based on sea creatures. Kraw is a crab, Tentro is a squid, and Balk is a hammerhead shark. Their Max form resembles a lobster.
  • Big, Thin, Short Trio: Balk (big), Tentro (thin), Kraw (short)
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Orange with black details.
  • Combat Tentacles: Even the ones not based on a squid have stretchy black horns and "limbs".
  • Flying Seafood Special: While they technically bounce rather than fly, all three of them and their Max form are based around sea creatures.
  • Genius Bruiser: They might seem threatening, but they love to stretch their intellects as much as their bodies. Balk is the exception, though he still has moments of brightness.
  • Rubber Man: Their abilities.
  • Verbal Tic: All of them have a tendency to stretch out a specific vowel sound in their speech: Kraw for "o", Tentro for "i" and Balk for "e".
  • Weird Beard: All three have extra black tentacles that appear to invoke mustaches.

Kraw

Voiced by: Creator/Fred Tatasciore
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Be the Ball: He can curl himself into a ball shape to attack.
  • Bouncing Battler: He has the ability to curl himself up into a ball and ricochet at his enemies.
  • Ditzy Genius: Despite being the smartest Mixel, he can show stupidity at times. Most notable when he forgets he used the emergency cubit with Gobba to entertain himself.
  • Eye Scream: In "Epic Comedy Adventure", Kraw's eye almost seemed to pop out and got bloodshot when he started yelling.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: Subverted, he's one of the heroes.
  • Insufferable Genius: While he is really smart, he knows he is, and brags about it, believing he's the smartest Mixel ever.
  • The Leader: Of his tribe.
  • The Napoleon: While not a rude version, his ego is bigger than he is, and he's a pretty short Mixel.
  • Punny Name: Of "crawfish".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: While they're both smart Mixels, Kraw is the more egotistical and overconfident Red Oni, whereas Tentro is the more calmer and a lot less confident Blue Oni.
  • Series Mascot: For Series 2.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: His ego's bigger than he is. He claims to be the smartest Mixel around.
  • Too Dumb to Live: He used the emergency cubit with Gobba to entertain himself rather than warn him not to use it.

Tentro

Voiced by: Phil LaMarr
  • Funny Octopus: He's based on a squid.
  • Punny Name: Of "tentacle".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The more rational Blue Oni compared to Kraw, who happens to be the overly self-centered Red Oni that sometimes makes the dumbest mistakes
  • Shrinking Violet: His confidence is horribly lacking.
  • Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Most of the appearances that he's made show him with a face of indifference, but when he does really enjoy something, he smiles and has fun. Also, in his "Upset" video, Tentro screams while flipping his extra black "tentacles" around and bangs his head out of frustration.

Balk

Voiced by: Billy West

Teacher

Voiced by: Cree Summer
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flexer_teacher_pic.png
The Mixing 101 teacher of Mixopolis Middle school.
  • Badass Teacher: Serious when it comes to teaching, but is not afraid to protect her students.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Is very dry and deadpan, she only drops this when there is true danger.
  • Hot Librarian: Is attractive enough to use femininity as a weapon against a Mixelopter, yet is still strict and serious throughout.
  • No Name Given: Only given the title of "Teacher" in the credits.
  • Only One Female Mold: The only other female Mixel in the franchise, a Frosticon in "Nixel Nixel Go Away", is just the Teacher's model colored blue.
  • The Smurfette Principle: She was the first confirmed female character in the franchise and- until "Nixel Nixel Go Away", the only female.
  • Toyless Toyline Character: She is a show-only character.

    Glorp Corp
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/glorp_corp_6108.png
The 2014 members. From left to right: Glomp, Torts, Glurt
Based on slime. The green, gooey Glorp Corp is a swamp-dwelling tribe of outrageous thrill-seekers.

The tribe as a whole

Glomp

Voiced by: Maddie Taylor
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Always hatches hair-brained schemes, according to his bio.
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • The Leader: Of his tribe.
  • Nasal Weapon: His nose slime comes out in strong sneezes that can blast him upwards and damage Nixels.
  • Nose Nuggets: Glomp's slime comes out to look like snot.
  • Treasure Chest Cavity: Glomp has been shown to store stuff (such as cubits) in his nose.
  • Working Through the Cold: A bio revealed that he has a constant mild cold, which is why is nose is always running. However, he never lets his cold phase him, and continues to have fun all the time. However, he does manage to catch a bad enough one that leaves him bedridden in the magazine story "Glomp's Gooey, Sneezy Cold!".

Glurt

Voiced by: Bumper Robinson

Torts

Voiced by: Carlos Alazraqui
  • Mighty Glacier: He's the slowest member of his tribe, but he's super-strong.
  • Punny Name: Of "tortoise".
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: While they have only interacted once in "Murp Romp" and are voiced by the same actor, Torts is the more energetic and fun-loving Red Oni in contrast to Mesmo's calm and levelheaded Blue Oni.
  • Sticky Situation: His hands constantly secretes goo that can stick Nixels up.

Booger

Voiced by: Tom Kenny
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boogervectorbyderek.png
A student attending Mixopolis Middle School, and also one of the main characters of Every Knight has its Day.

  • Ascended Extra: Went from being a semi-major character in "Every Knight Has Its Day" to the main in "Nixel, Nixel, Go Away".
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Sometimes berates Camillot because of his indecisiveness. He gets a bit better later on, though.
  • Disney Death: Near the end of "Nixel, Nixel, Go Away", the Mixels think he's gone for good after he is trapped in King Nixel's missile. Luckily, he survives the explosion, parachuting down.
  • Hero-Worshipper: He's a huge Nindjas fan.
  • Older Than They Look: Despite his child-like stature, he attends middle school and has a pretty deep voice.
  • Punny Name: Of "booger", a dried snot piece, fitting considering his element.
  • Toyless Toyline Character: Is a show-only character.

    Spikels
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/628f61abcf2e8eb4c496ec6c7a3bd7c8.PNG
From left to right: Hoogi, Footi, Scorpi
Based on spikes. The fun-loving Spikels think of themselves as cute and cuddly, often forgetting they're covered with dangerous spikes.

The tribe as a whole

  • And Call Him "George": The three of them are very affectionate and think of themselves as cute and cuddly...but they keep forgetting that they're covered in spines. This is to the point that some of their attacks in Calling All Mixels involves running up to hug Nixels and hurting ones in their way, or even the hugs themselves.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Scorpi is the Beauty, Footi is the Brains & Hoogi is the Brawn.
  • Big, Thin, Short Trio: Hoogi (big), Footi (thin), Scorpi (short)
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Tan with silver details.
  • In Touch with His Feminine Side: All three of them have feminine interests (Footi's ballet dancing, Hoogi's hugging and paper crafts, and Scorpi's sleepovers and snuggling), and their habitat is very feminine looking in Calling All Mixels (where it is less of a desert and more of a topiary garden)
  • Love Freak: All of them are very heartfelt.
  • Fun Personified: They live for having fun, but they unfortunately have a hard time sharing it with others thanks to their spikes.
  • Spikes of Doom: All three are packed with knife-like blades...and have a tendency to forget this when they give out hugs.
  • The Spiny: Benevolent ones, they're named for the spikes on their bodies.

Footi

Voiced by: Bumper Robinson
  • Ambiguously Gay: The most feminine of his tribe (which is saying a lot with their traits), refers to everyone as "friends", and has a high-pitched and feminine voice.
  • Armed Legs: He has knives for toenails, which, combined with long legs and ballet dances, turns him into a whirlwind of blades.
  • Cheshire Cat Grin: Subverted. His smile goes from eye to eye, but he does it out of genuine happiness.
  • Dance Battler: Combining his love of dancing with his sharp toe claws, this is how he fights. A move of note from Calling All Mixels is the "Pirouette of Pain".
  • Happy Dance: His specialty. He loves to dance in general, and is actually pretty graceful thanks to his long legs.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Practically always has a huge grin on his face, though there have been a few exceptions, such as when Scorpi's in trouble or during his "Upset" video.
  • Punny Name: Of "foot".
  • The Lancer: Implied in the Mixels Cartoon website where his face is shown rather than Scorpi similar to Gobba with Jawg.

Hoogi

Voiced by: Maddie Taylor
  • Bear Hug: He's super affectionate and loves to give them, thanks to his arms being bigger than his body.
  • Drama Queen: Gets a bit over-dramatic in upsetting situations.
  • Mighty Glacier: He's super-strong, but he's as fast as a zombie.
  • Prone to Tears: Prone to getting upset easily.
  • Punny Name: Of "hug".

Scorpi

Voiced by: Maria Bamford (via recycled Adventure Time audio clips)
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Even though he's the leader, he's just the cute innocent one of his bunch.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: Fitting for a scorpion, though his also has blades on the end.
  • Childish Pillow Fight: One of his favorite hobbies.
  • Constantly Curious: He sees the world in a sense of wonder, so he's always curious.
  • Cuddlebug: He loves to hug and snuggle everyone, which is hard thanks to his pointy tail. And he's a literal bug-like Mixel.
  • The Cutie: Oh, so very much. Even the characters comment on how cute he is!
  • Killer Rabbit: Ridiculously adorable...but ridiculously dangerous thanks to his spikes.
  • The Leader: Of his tribe.
  • Lovable Coward: He's very skittish.
  • Punny Name: Of "scorpion".
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: Has near-permanent ones, and they can grow even bigger!
  • Quizzical Tilt: A tic of his. It's even implemented into his Lego version, as his head's on an axis roller.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: One of the cutest Mixels.
  • Scary Scorpions: Averted, he's one of the cutest ones!
  • Series Mascot: For series 3.
  • Sudden Eye Colour: When his Puppy-Dog Eyes grow bigger, he gains silver irises that he previously lacked.
  • The Voiceless: He makes insect-like squeaks and can scream, but he's never uttered a single word.
  • Wingding Eyes: In the intro, his pupils turn into hearts (while still black and keeping their eye shines!), thanks to the fact that he can't form a heart with his hands like the other Spikels.
  • Your Size May Vary: Merchandise and Calling All Mixels makes him about Kraw's size: short, but still a good size. The cartoon makes him only sightly bigger than a Nixel, and he can easily rest on Hoogi's head.

Ranger Jinx

Voiced by: Jeff Bennett

From left to right: Wizwuz, Magnifo, Mesmo
Based on magic. The Wiztastics are a traveling troupe of magicians known for putting on the most spectacular shows in the land.

The tribe as a whole

Mesmo

Voiced by: Carlos Alazraqui
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: His tail drops spells.
  • Boring, but Practical: His biggest issue. He can perform spells no problem but he lacks the showmanship to make them pop.
  • The Comically Serious: No matter what seems to be going on around him, he never loses that dull expression.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: He's very gloomy and mysterious compared to the other Wiztastics, but he's actually a helpful Mixel.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Seems to be the sanest out of the Mixels, and he has a dull, monotone voice, which actually fits this nature for him.
  • Hidden Depths: In "Murp Romp", he noticed that the rest of the Glorp Corp and the Spikels were out trying to catch the Scorpi/Glurt murp in the Wiztastics Show, and even helped out by mixing with Torts to catch him.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: To Magnifo.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Never cracks a grin.
  • Punny Name: Of "mesmerize".
  • The Quiet One: He doesn't talk very much, and even when he does, his sentences are short.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The calm and quiet Blue Oni to Torts' frivolous Red Oni.
  • The Smart Guy: The magical genius of the Wiztastics.
  • The Stoic: He's not very expressive and his voice is very flat-sounding. This is exaggerated in Calling All Mixels for his unlockable "Upset" video, where all he has to say is "meh".
    • Not So Stoic: If you took a closer look at his expression in his Upset video compared to his normal face, you'll notice that he has a slight frown and his wizard hats are slightly arched. Also, at the end of "Murp Romp", he reacts like the Glorp Corp and the Spikels did when they realized they were going to lose balance on the upside-down pyramid formation and fall on top of Magnifo.

Magnifo

Voiced by: Brian Stepanek
  • Badass Cape: He wears one. It's a separate flat piece in his Lego version that clips onto his back.
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Dual Wielding: Of magic wands.
  • Inept Mage: He is NOT good with magic.
  • Large Ham: His work's considered "cheesy", but don't tell him or the others that you think that, they're having too much fun with how he hams it up.
  • Loser Protagonist: His magic shows never seem to go well in spite of his efforts, and are generally disliked by practically everyone except Vulk, despite the LEGO site describing the Wiztastics as the holders of spectacular shows.
  • The Leader: Of his tribe.
  • Punny Name: Of "magnificent".
  • Robe and Wizard Hat: Designed to look like he's wearing them.
  • Smoke Out: Magnifo's main method of teleportation, as shown in the Wiztastics intro, the "Murp Romp" section of the "Mixed Up Special", and in the Wiztastics video in Calling All Mixels. This is often caused by the magic in his wands.
  • White Gloves: His pincer hands are white to make it look like he's wearing a pair.

Wizwuz

Voiced by: Bumper Robinson
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: It's hooked, but he mainly uses it to hang off of stuff during performances.
  • Breath Weapon: Breathes out blue magical essence.
  • Gasshole: His powers are burped out, often very loudly.
  • Keet: Overly energetic, and puts a lot of passion in his performances.
  • The Klutz: He's very bungling and makes tons of mistakes...but in the end, it makes his act even better thanks to how hilarious it turns out.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: He's goofy, clumsy, and makes the Wiztastics' shows even more hilarious!
  • Punny Name: Of "wizard".

    Orbitons

From left to right: Nurp-Naut (Naut's side visible), Niksput, Rokit
Based on space. The Orbitons are all geared up to explore space. The only problem is—they are a little bit clumsy and don’t always know how to control their equipment.

The tribe as a whole

Niksput

Nurp-Naut

Voiced by: Justin Grollman (Nurp), Rodger Bumpass (Naut)
  • Alter Kocker: Naut has a Yiddish accent to fit his old man personality.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: Nurp, even Naut himself treats him as such.
  • Bizarre Alien Biology: A creature resembling an astronaut, with an eye on the front and two on the back of his head.
  • Bring My Brown Pants: In the Moon Madness Special, Rokit tells Nurp-Naut a story about the Glowkies which scares him.
Nurp: Eep! Scary story! (Switches to Naut)
Naut: I just made a meteor in my spacesuit!
  • Extra Eyes: He has one eye on the front of his head and two on the back.
  • Forgetful Jones: His biggest issue. His elder face is very wise, but he's unable to contain his flashes of wisdom thanks to his forgetfulness.
  • Gravity Master: Can Ground Pound to generate ripples that make objects on the ground float off.
  • In Space, Everyone Can See Your Face: A subversion. His eyes are visible under his space helmet, but his mouth and teeth are on his body.
  • Multiple Head Case: Tends to argue within themselves.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Nurp is the bratty red, Naut is the calm blue.
  • Something-Nauts: From his name, with Naut being the wiser focus.
  • Split Personality: Naut (his cyclops side) is an elder, while Nurp (his two-eyed side) is an infant.
  • Spoiled Brat: Nurp acts like this when things don't go his way.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Nurp LOVES Crater Tots. He could even throw a gravity-defying temper tantrum if he's not allowed to have any. He's also fond of Oxy-Juice.
  • Two-Faced: One side is a single cycloptic eye with a slightly bored expression, while the other has two small ones. He switches personalities by turning his head around.

Rokit

Voiced by: Phil Hayes
  • The Comically Serious: Can turn out to be this, due to how seriously he takes things.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: A very downplayed version, but he still fits the bill.
  • Large Ham: He falls into this in some moments.
  • Punny Name: Of "rocket".
  • Ray Gun: His arms connect to two dual-wielded ones.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: The uptight red to Niksput's blue.
  • Serious Business: EVERYTHING. Be it getting a cup of coffee or stroking a kitten, he does everything as if it was the most important thing, and gets annoyed when the others don't share this view.
  • Southern-Fried Private: He's got a noticeable Southern drawl and is designed to be like a soldier.

Based on bioluminescence. The Glowkies live in a cave with a big stage where they love to perform for and entertain their Mixel cousins.

Globert

Voiced by: Dave Fennoy
  • Ambiguously Gay: Very flamboyant and has overly extravagant costumes.
  • Attention Whore: Goes with being a showboater.
  • By the Lights of Their Eyes: He uses a large glowing dish piece behind a black circular "pupil" to invoke this. He can spotlight with it as well.
  • Cyclops: One of many, and with the largest eye yet.
  • Feather Fingers: His wings can move around and shift into hands...even while he's flying.
  • Large Ham: Overdramatic and gets angry when others interrupt his dramatic introductions.
  • The Leader: Of his tribe.
  • Punny Name: of "glow" and "Gilbert".
  • Small Name, Big Ego: He's a bit of a showboater.
  • You Don't Look Like You: Subverted. He does have his original look in Mixamajig, but he has a darker underbite and black wings like his prototype static art.

From left to right: Gox, Jinky, Kamzo
Based on Steampunk culture. The Klinkers are like Mixels from another age—the Steam Age. They are all about power, mechanics, and taking action.

The tribe as a whole

  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Brown and gold.
  • Cool Old Guy: All three are old Mixels that still have it.
  • Impoverished Patrician: The main three Klinkers were "captains of industry" in the industrial heyday, but their company has fallen on hard times, leading to it starting to wither and rust away.
  • Noisy Robots: All are the most mechanical of the Mixels and make metal creaking and steam hydraulic noises when they move.
  • Pungeon Master: All of them are not above cracking a very literal pun at times.
  • Steampunk: Their theme.

Based on constructions. The Weldos are big time into the construction business. They love to build things but they cannot always control their tools and they often end up causing more damage than good.

  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Grey and yellow.
  • Cyclops: Their Max.
  • The Engineer: All three of them, as it is their tribe motif.

  • Apologises a Lot: Thanks to being so accidentally destructive, he's ultra-apologetic.
  • Blessed with Suck: Having a chainsaw for a head may be awesome, unless you have bad coordination which makes it a bad combination.
  • Chainsaw Good: His nose is designed as one.
  • The Klutz: He has horrible coordination, which does not help his chainsaw nose.

  • Belly Mouth: Designed as if they has one, though each face is a different personality.
  • Cyclops: Vaka is one.
  • Extreme Omnivore: Vaka has a tendency to eat whatever he can find, even if it's not food. Waka is unappreciative of this.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: Played for Laughs. In the beginning of Mixamajig, they ate Berp because he was carrying plates of food with him. A moment later, Berp came out from Waka unharmed.
  • The Leader: Of their tribe, mostly Vaka.
  • Multiple Head Case: Waka, the bottom head, tends to disagree about his job to handle food digestion and output.
  • Punny Name: Of "wakka wakka".

  • Gentle Giant: One of the only big kids of Mixopolis Middle School that isn't considered thuggish or bullies.
  • Simpleton Voice: Not as drawling as Lunk's, but still noticeable.
  • Toyless Toyline Character: Is a show-only character.

From left to right: Camillot, Mixadel, Paladum

The tribe as a whole

Camillot

Voiced by: Jeff Bennett
  • The Ditherer: Of the Insecure variety. Him overcoming this is the driving point of "Every Knight Has Its Day".
  • Friendless Background: Being taken care of by servants meant he never got out of the castle, so he wants to use his time at the public school to make new friends. He eventually succeeds through Jamzy and Booger.
  • The Leader: Well, almost. His father is the current king, Camillot's just the prince that's set to be heir to the throne.
  • Lonely Rich Kid: Being raised in luxury meant he was ostracized from the standards of life, to the point his only friend was his pet. He later grew into friendship with Jamzy and Booger.
  • Missing Mom: Appears to only have his father as a parental figure.
  • Punny Name: Of "Camelot".
  • Token Rich Student: He and Mixadel were transferred into public Mixopolis Middle School. Camillot was transferred specifically so he could intermingle with the common Mixels and allow his leadership skills to shape.

Mixadel

  • Brats with Slingshots: He's a living catapult, but his personality and use of it fits more in the reign of this. He mainly uses it to launch spitballs and dodgeballs.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Has only two rules for when it comes to playing Murpball: win at all costs and do it dirty. He's not even above using his own team members as shields.
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Unleashes several dangerous Mixeloptors just because other students laughed at his antics.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: He can be easily angry by most situations.
  • Jerkass: Doesn't believe with mixing with "common" Mixels and constantly causing mischief. However...
  • Karma Houdini: Releases the Mixoloptors and indirectly causing havoc, and he gets away with it for showing remorse.
  • Nephewism: Nothing is known of his parents, and he appears to live with his uncle and cousin.
  • Prince Charmless: Is a huge brat to everyone, and uses his nobility to get what he wants.
  • Punny Name: Of "mix" and "citadel".
  • Screw the Rules, I Have Money!: He uses his royal status to get him what he wants...though a lot are not that appreciative of him doing this.
  • Spoiled Brat: In contrast to his cousin, Mixadel is a snob that believes he's too high class to Mix with the commoners.
  • Token Rich Student: Along with Camillot, he was transferred to public Mixopolis Middle School. Mixadel was brought along to keep an eye on Camillot, and loathes being forced to be around the "common folk".

Paladum

Voiced by: Eric Bauza
  • Cyclops: One of many.
  • Pegasus: His inspiration.
  • Punny Name: Of "paladin" and "dumb".
  • Team Pet: He's Camillot's loyal pet, and would do anything for his master.

    Nixels
The main villains of the series. Nixels are annoying and destructive little creatures who are spread all over the land of the Mixels. They live to tear down and break apart the world around them, including any cool combinations that the Mixels create. In fact, there is nothing the Nixels hate more than when two or three Mixels combine together and get super powers. So the Nixels have made it their mission in life to put an end to such crazy creativity all together. And the only way to do this is to hide and destroy the cubits which enable the Mixels to combine in the first place. One Nixel can do little harm. But when they swarm together they can break apart a Mixel in seconds. So now you’re warned!

The species in general

Voiced by: Fred Tatasciore
  • Adorable Evil Minions: Despite being evil, they do have a traditional cuteness to them.
  • Armless Biped: The hands on their shells are only on their shells, which are easily removable.
  • Ax-Crazy: They’re all very homicidal and wanted to destroy Mixel Land.
  • Back for the Finale: After their absence in Every Knight Has Its Day, they along with King Nixel appear in Nixel, Nixel, Go Away, the final episode of the series.
  • Berserk Button: They absolutely despise the Mixels and their creativity.
  • Cannon Fodder: Being Expendable Clones, many "annoying and forgettable Nixels" were used as fuel for the bomb of the Mega Nixel Mixel Nixer.
  • Clone Army: The army of Nixels is made up of clones based on three base designs, creating huge hoards.
  • Color-Coded for Your Convenience: Black and white.
  • Creative Sterility: They're about conformity and lack creativity. Ironically, Major Nixel still thinks ahead, albeit horribly, while King Nixel has had the strongest plans by far.
  • Culture Police: Want to eradicate creativity in general.
  • Eldritch Abomination: The Nixel Boss in the Mixel Website's Cragster Game. It even has an army of Nixels for tentacles!
  • Evil Counterpart Race: Uncreative Nixels to creative Mixels.
  • Expendable Clone: A foreign ad reveals that the Nixels are cloned from three base Nixels. Many of them are destroyed in regular hoards.
  • Giant Mook: Muscle Nixel. He's about the size of his boss, is very buff, and it takes a lot of damage to take him down.
  • The Goomba: They're weak and end up leaving battles with footprints all over them.
  • Laughably Evil: They aren't really powerful, and get into bad situations easily.
  • Mook: Mass-produced and plentiful, yet all identical.
  • Only Six Faces: Their basic, blocky design leaves them looking very much like clones of each other. In the sets, there are only three designs of Nixels, and one of each per series (one member of each tribe has a Nixel, and it is always the same Mixels per wave).
  • Pokémon Speak: Their vocabulary was initially limited to their name, until Mixel Moon Madness gave them new words. However, Major and King Nixel speak normally.
  • Slasher Smile: Have a tendency of doing this every time something goes their way. It's a bit unsettling, but also very cute.
  • Strange Salute: The minion Nixels have one that involves giving a standard hand-to-forehead salute, but then ends with blowing a kiss and waving off.
  • Tall Poppy Syndrome: They hate the Mixels because of their creativity and ability to Mix.
  • Waddling Head: What Nixels are in essence.
  • Zerg Rush: This is when Nixels get dangerous.

Major Nixel

Voiced by: Fred Tatasciore (season one), Rodger Bumpass (Mixel Moon Madness), Peter Jason (Lost Mixamajig onwards)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/major_nixel_5060.png

  • 0% Approval Rating: His minions hate him and enjoy watching him get injured.
  • Bad Boss: He kicks his Nixels and sends them on dangerous missions one at a time.
  • The Dragon: Appears to be this to King Nixel.
  • Drill Sergeant Nasty: Exploited in "Wrong Colors"; the Gobba/Flurr mix makes an ice statue of him, and the Nixels are too afraid to leave it, while Volectro, Shuff, Flurr, and Gobba are leaving.
  • Evil Is Hammy: Going with his drill sergeant manner, his volume control seems to be broken at times.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: He's an enemy to the Mixels, and his voice is low and scratchy.
  • General Failure: He's a horrible commanding officer, to the point of getting no respect from his army, plans that generally fail, and his own leader has no patience for him.
  • King Mook: He's really just a scaled-up and fluent Nixel.
  • Large and in Charge: Much bigger than his minions.
  • Mook Lieutenant: Is the leader of the Nixel army, but not the Nixels entirely.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Him not helping his Nixel armies back in previous episodes and in "Epic Comedy Adventure" was what led to his failures.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: Sends out the Nixels to do his dirty work. Brilliantly pointed out in "Nixel 'Mix Over'":
"Now go. Get me. Some Cubits! And I'm just gonna stand here!"
  • Omnicidal Maniac: He'll do anything it takes to get rid of the Mixels and their mixing.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: In the finale, he realizes that he has lost and flies away with the other Nixels for a "long vacation".
  • Strong as They Need to Be: In the cartoon, he's not much of a fighter and can't take much pain. In the Calling All Mixels game, he can take down a Mixel much easier and takes more pain than other Nixels.
  • Terrible Artist: His drawings of the Mixels...are nothing to write home about.
  • Took a Level in Badass: After being a Laughably Evil villain on the earlier episodes, Major takes it up a notch on Epic Comedy Adventure, where he nearly succeed on defeating the Mixels.
  • Toyless Toyline Character: Despite being a reoccurring character since the first season, he never recevied a toy.
  • You Don't Look Like You: Has a different appearance in "Mixels Rush" and "A Quest for the Lost Mixamajig" onward, getting a new mustache and additional ears.

  • Back for the Finale: After being absent from "Every Knight Has Its Day", he, alongside the regular Nixels appear in "Nixel, Nixel, Go Away", the series' last episode.
  • Badass Cape: His toy gives his head (which is treated as his regular body) a slanted piece meant to resemble a cape.
  • Big Bad: For the franchise, though he only started appearing in the second season. He is the superior to all of the Nixels, including the Major.
  • Body of Bodies: His body is formed by hundreds of Nixels.
  • Defeat by Modesty: King Nixel is just a Nixel in a humongous suit. When his suit is destroyed, he runs off crying.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: Despite his ultra-villainous ways, he's still a softie for his mom.
  • Evil Is Hammy: While a bit more composed than Major Nixel, the King is still very over the top and dramatic at times.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: He's the ruler of the Nixels and his voice is low and deep. This only applies when his mustache is on, his real voice is high and whiny.
  • God Guise: Pretends to be the Maximum Mixel via holograms and puppetry in "A Quest for the Lost Mixamajig".
  • I Want My Mommy!: After King Nixel is defeated by the Ultra-Miximum Max, he screamed "MOMMY!!!" as he ran away from the Max.
  • King Mook: Even more so than Major Nixel, to the point that his true form is the same size as standard Nixels.
  • Large and in Charge: Though his set suggests otherwise. The show confirms: he's tiny.
  • The Leader: To the Nixels and Major Nixel.
  • Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Him letting one Cubit stay unmodified in "Nixel, Nixel, Go Away", even with Major Nixel's warning, "puts the kibosh on the whole shebang".
  • Mister Big: Even taking his body being made up of other Nixels out of the equation, he's a tiny Nixel inside a box resembling a head. His toy makes it more overt by having his "head" clearly be a regularly-sized (but fancier) Nixel on an elaborate throne.
  • Reduced to Dust: He tries to escape in the finale but instead flies into a Mix of a bug zapper and disintegrates.
  • You Don't Look Like You: The only consistent details between his LEGO and animated forms are the presence of a crown and mustache. His toy portrays him a regularly-sized Nixel with a cape who sits on an elaborate throne that serves as a torso with other Nixels forming limbs. The show has his true form be a regular Nixel with the King Nixel toy's hands reinterpreted as earrings, who then goes into a box with his toy's face and (changed from gold to silver) crown to serve as his bigger body's head, replacing the cape with a cloak covering his body, which is now made entirely of Nixels with the throne absent. Even his mustache is different between depictions, being bigger and more angular in animated form.
  • Your Head Asplode: King Nixel's head broke down after his defeat to the Ultra Miximum-Max to reveal his true form.
