    Patrick Bateman vs. Sweeney Todd

Sweeney Todd

Voiced by: The Stupendium
Portrayed by: Lawless Marshall
"I'm like Perelli, how I up and beat a wimpy kid!"

  • Boisterous Weakling: Patrick claims him to be one.
Bateman: There's an idea of Sweeney Todd, but he's all Barker, no bite!
  • Chekhov's Gunman: He was mentioned by Quentin Tarantino in Part 4 and by Yuri in Part 5.
  • Clear My Name: Bateman brings up the wrong accusations he faced while bragging about himself never being caught.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He's horrified to discover that the woman he killed was his own wife.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He's disgusted by Patrick's murders and raping and calls him crazy for it.
  • Fashion-Victim Villain: invoked Bateman makes fun of his haircut, saying that it makes him look like the monster from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" music video.
  • Kill It with Fire: Todd disposes of Lovett using her own oven, much like the original play. He then threatens to do the same thing to Bateman.
  • A Lighter Shade of Black: He's portrayed in a more sympathetic light than either Bateman or Mrs. Lovett, since he genuinely loves his wife and is distraught when he kills her by accident.
  • Murder by Mistake: He mistakes his wife for a random woman and kills her.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Utters the phrase almost verbatim when he realizes he killed his own wife.
  • The Pig-Pen: Bateman tells him that he reeks of disease and lives in shit.
  • Slashed Throat: How he kills his victims, and it's shown in the battle when he kills his wife.
  • Villainous Breakdown: He completely loses his cool after realizing that Mrs. Lovett tricked him into killing his wife.
  • Waxing Lyrical: The first four lines of his rap are based off of the opening lines of "No Place Like London".
  • Would Hit a Girl: Like in the play, he kills Lovett when he finds out about her deception.

Patrick Bateman

Voiced by: littleflecks
Portrayed by: George Wilson
"I'm Patrick Bateman, I'll take it you'll understand."

Mrs. Lovett

Voiced by: Meggie-Elise
Portrayed by: Helen Morton
"Hush now, love, don't fret or whine."

  • Assist Character: Shows up midway through the battle to help Todd in his second verse.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Comes off as sweet, but she deliberately lied to Todd about his wife so she can have him for herself.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Toward Todd.
  • Driven by Envy: Lies to Todd about his wife's fate because she wants him for herself.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: She says that she wouldn't put Bateman's heart into her pies because it's too disgusting even for her.
  • Faux Affably Evil: She sounds much sweeter than either Todd or Patrick in her raps, but she's just as evil.
  • Female Misogynist: Possibly. She says that she relates to Bateman's hatred of women, but the phrasing leaves it unclear if she's talking about women in general or just Todd's wife in particular.
  • Freudian Slip: "Paul Allen? Oh, I had him for dinner in London... I mean, I had dinner with him in London..."
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Extremely jealous of Todd's wife.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Gets incinerated in her own oven by Todd for lying about his wife surviving her suicide attempt.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: Makes this between herself and Bateman, since they both hate women and the homeless.
  • I'm a Humanitarian: She mentions that she ate Paul Allen for dinner in London and threatens to bake Bateman into a shepherd's pie.
  • Love Makes You Evil: Her love for Todd is what motivates her to lie about his wife surviving her suicide attempt.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Possibly. As with Female Misogynist above, she says she hates the homeless like Bateman, but it's unclear whether she means all homeless people or just Lucy.
  • Saying Too Much: Her last line about her loathing Lucy leads to Todd finding out about her lie and kills her in retaliation.

     Kokichi Ouma vs The Riddler

Kokichi Ouma

Voiced by: GamingPlush64
"It's not April, but this prankster's taking shots so saucy, call me the Hollandaise Killer!"

The Riddler

Voiced by: Carter Sauce
"Downplay my impact? I'll find all you had left with a riddle that might have you oddly perplexed!"

  • Amnesiacs are Innocent: Kokichi claims that the Riddler's brief bout of head-trauma-induced-amnesia transformed him "from evil theatre kid to Batman's supreme cheerleader."
  • Bad Influencer: Kokichi jokes that the Riddler wasn't taken seriously as a villain until he started livestreaming on social media.
  • Cannot Tell a Lie: Kokichi claims that the Riddler can't tell lies because of the beatings he suffered from his father, who always assumed his son was lying even when he wasn't.
  • Classy Cane: Kokichi jokes that the Riddler's signature cane will come in handy after the beating he'll receive.
  • Composite Character: Many different iterations of the Riddler are alluded to throughout the rap battle. Some of his dialogue is lifted word-for-word from the Matt Reeves film, and Kokichi references that Riddler's conflict with Carmine Falcone, social media presence, and how he got arrested at a diner; Kokichi also alludes to the Riddler being played by Jim Carrey, being frozen by the Penguin, exercising to get buff, and reinventing himself as the villain Hush after getting a brain tumor. Events from the comic books, like Riddler fooling the League of Assassins, are also mentioned. Dustin explained in the comments that this Riddler was meant to be "all versions" at once.
  • Delighting in Riddles: His main defining trait. Several of his disses are phrased in the form of riddles.
  • Fan Hater: Downplayed; he takes a minor swipe at the Danganronpa fanbase, joking that his flooding of Gotham wasn't as destructive as the series' shipping community flooding websites with content.
  • Lean and Mean: Kokichi claims that the Riddler's skinny frame is why he keeps losing fights to Batman.
Kokichi Ouma: You can't fight the Bat while your body's that slim!
Now why don't you stop all the flops with Jim Carrey and carry those bony-ass arms to the gym?
  • Longer-Than-Life Sentence: Kokichi jokes that the Riddler has racked up so many stints at Arkham Asylum that even a question mark couldn't end his sentence.
  • Once Original, Now Common: In-universe, Kokichi claims to not understand why he's so popular when so many other villains have imitated his gimmick.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: Kokichi claims that the Riddler's mental age was stunted by his father's abuse, and his frequent defeats at the hands of the Caped Crusader haven't helped.
Kokichi Ouma: I thought that age only went up, but decades later, and you're still held down by the Bruces!
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Kokichi mocks the Riddler for the time he was defeated by being presented with riddles that had abstract, non-literal answers.
Kokichi: Jesus, to topple this great, it just takes getting philosophical
Icon of your made sense when The Question sure left his mark on ya!
  • Who Writes This Crap?!: A few of the Riddler's disses are directed less at Kokichi and more at the Danganronpa installment he debuted in; he jokes that the creators "ran out of ideas for plots" by the time they started on Killing Harmony, and he later derides the game's infamous twist ending as ridiculous.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: Kokichi tells the Riddler that he'd better count up how many days he has left — not only is this a veiled threat, but it plays into Kokichi's very next line where he compares himself to the Holiday Killer (hence the implied connection to calendars) and his closing line when he brings up the Riddler's brain tumor.

  • Characterization Marches On: Undyne notes the contrast between his portrayal as a Giggling Villain in his first appearance and his later portrayal as The Stoic.

    Paul Bunyan vs. Johnny Appleseed

Paul Bunyan

Voiced by: Mr. Tibbs (Gridline Studios)
"I'll still clear a season's work with one swing of the axe!"

Johnny Appleseed

Voiced by: Freeced
"Yeah, I know a bad apple when I see one."

  • Bucket Helmet: As usual, he's portrayed wearing a saucepan on his head; Paul jokes that this makes Johnny "the first pothead to always pass out sober."
  • Celibate Hero: Bunyan accuses him of being one, and he readily admits to it.
Bunyan: You never danced with folks and ladies passed you over
Sanctimonious, your seed is for the plants to grow with!
  • Global Warming: He speaks about his efforts to curb climate change in contrast to Paul.
Machines took our jobs, and they say the world is heating up.
My trees do their best so that the seasons keep from speeding up!
But please tell me why you blame the engines when you eat enough
To leave bigger carbon footprints than a fleet of trucks!
  • Green Aesop: He brags about the positive environmental impact of his orchards.
  • No Social Skills: Bunyan makes fun of his inability to connect with people a few times.

  • Kick the Dog: Begins the rap battle by mentioning Nezuko's family massacre AND the demon transformation that occurred to her as a result.
  • Never My Fault: Nezuko calls her out for being unable to take the blame for her mistakes.
  • Oh, Wait!: Pulls this in her first line when she orders Nezuko to "Grovel, human!" only to take it back to reference the loss of Nezuko's family that led to her becoming a demon.
  • The Pig-Pen: Nezuko claims that she doesn't need Tanjiro because she can smell Power from a mile away.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Power is the Red to Nezuko's Blue. She's more aggressive in her raps.

Nezuko Kamado

Voiced by: Azia
"Severed at the crown, still ass I'm whooping."

  • Flat Character: Power claims that she's one dimensional like Denji.
  • Kick Chick: Power mocks her fondness for using kicks in combat.
  • Little Miss Badass: Power dismisses her as a kid, but Nezuko still proves powerful both in rapping and fighting.
  • The Load: Power points out how her brother Tanjiro always carries her around in the box during the day and claims she's not as good in fights as her friends.
  • Rage Breaking Point: She reaches it in the beginning of her second verse and undergoes a demon transformation, finishing the rest of the battle in that form.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Nezuko is the Blue to Power's Red. She's more slow paced and calm in her delivery.
  • Speak Ill of the Dead: Makes fun of how Power died on Denji's birthday.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Power points out that she doesn't have her friends' advanced combat training, but she still demonstrates immense power in the battle.

    Jack Horner vs. Dr. Eggman

Dr. Eggman

Voiced by: Luke Reardon
"This will be easy as pie with all my mind has accomplished!"

Jack Horner

Voiced by: Freeced

  • Addled Addict: Not Jack himself, but Eggman hits his voice actor below the belt by telling Jack to take more toxic chemicals than John Mulaney if he wants a chance of beating him.
  • Always Someone Better: Eggman can't resist taking a swing at Jack for getting overshadowed by Pinocchio as a traveling performer.
  • Bad Boss: He doesn't seem too broken up when he recalls watching his own accomplices die right next to him.
  • Manchild: Eggman tells Jack to sit in the corner and wait for directions like the manbaby he is.
  • Psycho Pink: Eggman roasts Jack for his pink hair, comparing it to Stephanie from Lazytown.
  • Top-Heavy Guy: Eggman calls Jack "Lord Smallquads" due to his tiny legs.

Ethical Bug

Voiced by: Doobus Goobus

  • Assist Character: Subverted. He shows up to try and stop Jack from battling Eggman, but Jack still makes roasts off his words.
  • The Conscience: The Ethical Bug makes a cameo, telling Jack to go a bit easier on Eggman. Jack, being Jack, uses this as a setup to insult Eggman further.
Ethical Bug: Jack, leave the man alone, he's too old to fight you!
Jack Horner: You're right, baldy needs to make-a-wish more than I do.
Ethical Bug: Wha— p-put yourself in his shoes, at least!
Jack Horner: I would, but my feet aren't the shape of size 50 toucan beaks!

    Paul Atreides vs. Amleth

"You can sacrifice yourselves, now that you've met your idol!"

Don't Hug Me I'm Scared vs. The Truman Show

The Red Guy, the Yellow Guy, and the Duck

Portrayed by: Littleflecks (Red Guy's voice actor), Connor Quest (Red Guy's body actor), The Stupendium (Yellow Guy's voice), George Wilson (Duck's voice)
"Put me on your boring channel, and I'll score some interest."

  • Assist Character: Yellow Guy and Duck show up to help Red Guy with the second verse, but they're not much help.
  • British Teeth: Truman takes a potshot at the Red Guy's jagged teeth, saying they remind him of his neighbor's dog.
  • Condemned by History: invoked Truman claims that DHMIS is no longer as big as it once was and the Internet has moved on from them.
Truman: The internet's done with the fad of you lousy fuckin' pastas!
They cleared their heads of this browser Cookie Monster!
  • Deadpan Snarker: Red Guy of course, delivers most of his insults in a very monotonous voice.
  • Dull Surprise: The Red Guy's signature deadpan monotone is on full display here, though he jokes that even he has more range than Jim Carrey.
  • Only Known By His Nickname: Implied. Red Guy is the first contestant in the series to have question marks in his title card. He additionally says that "Red Guy" is not his name.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Red Guy eventually gives up and leaves, telling Truman not to try to stop him.
  • Stylistic Suck: As typical for DHMIS, the three protagonists don't do that great a job; the Red Guy almost never speaks above a half-interested monotone, and Yellow Guy and Duck spend more time arguing with one another than dissing Truman.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Just like the TV series, the Red Guy breaks out of his signature monotone when sufficiently worked up.
You're not stuck in Trumania; you're stuck in true MANIA!
  • Troubled Production: invoked Truman describes the problems that initially prevented DHMIS from getting off the ground; the pilot was scrapped due to poor reception, and the show's release was delayed due to the death of Her Majesty the Queen.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: invoked Truman says that, despite DHMIS being a horror series, their colorful aesthetic netted them an audience even younger than that of Sesame Street.

Truman Burbank

Portrayed by: Isaac Moore (body actor), AdamDRB (voice actor)
"I feel like a beast is watching as we're stuck here entertaining him!"

  • Boring Insult: He says that there are no interesting characters in his opponents' show.
  • Censored for Comedy: His use of the word "green" is both visually and audibly censored — presumably because green is not a creative color.
  • "No. Just… No" Reaction: He makes it clear he wants no part in the puppets' usual supernatural shenanigans.
"Can your eldritch horror wait until tomorrow? Not doing THAT is my favorite idea!"
  • Rage Against the Author: His final verse has him forcing his way out of the simulation around him and raging at the show's producers.
  • Subverted Catchphrase: He starts off the battle with a subversion of one of his iconic lines.
Good morning, and in case I don't see ya... then good! That'd be greatly ideal!
  • Who Would Want to Watch Us?: He knows that he's in a fictional world, but doubts anyone is actually tuning in.
Nah, just kidding! If only someone were taping this
So you could see the looks on the hands they... puppet your faces with!

Show Executives

Portrayed by: Freshy Kanal, Stargirl, Connor Quest, GamingPlush64
"We should probably do something; Truman seems keen to leave."

  • As Himself/Creator Cameo: Freshy Kanal appears as the show's director — obviously intended to stand in for Christof, but his personality and the decor and technology of the behind-the-scenes set seem to indicate that it's not a direct portrayal, and he's only credited as one of the "Execs".
  • Oh, Crap!: They're justifiably freaked out when Truman breaks through to the real world.
  • The Smurfette Principle: Stargirl's executive is the only woman out of the group, and also appears to be the most competent and diligent compared to her goofier colleagues, such as Connor Quest's executive who is constantly on his phone and later accidentally alerts Truman.

Darren the Identification Card

Voiced by: Littleflecks
"Hey! I think that he might've drowned!"

  • Assist Character: He helps end the Red Guy's first verse.
  • Canon Foreigner: Him and Rambley have the distinction of being the only characters created in the rap battle series.

Rambley the Record Player

Voiced by: Littleflecks
"Yo, here is how you too can rap!"

  • All There in the Script: His name is never said onscreen.
  • An Arm and a Leg: His arms fall off when he dies.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: He's a sentient vinyl record.
  • Canon Foreigner: Him and Darren have the distinction of being the only characters created in the rap battle series.
  • Death by Falling Over: He dies by falling off the table.
  • Hypocritical Humor: He claims the two most important parts of rapping are rhyming and staying on beat... neither of which he even attempts to do.
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Like all the teachers in DHMIS, it's clear this guy hasn't a clue what he's talking about; he says he intends to show the puppets how to rap, but he only gives them a little basic knowledge, fails to demonstrate any real talent for it, and accidentally gets himself killed without educating them further.
  • Non-Indicative Name: His name is Rambley the Record Player, yet he himself is just a record.
  • Shameless Self-Promoter: He randomly tells the puppets to subscribe to Freshy Kanal's Patreon just before he dies.
  • Stylistic Suck: Again, like DHMIS, his actual music skills are hilariously amateurish.
  • Wingding Eyes: His eyes become x's when he's shown dead.

Queen of Hearts vs. Wicked Witch of the West

The Queen of Hearts

Voiced by: Michaela Laws
"Don't toy with me, bitch! I got a kingdom: I run opposed!"

  • Awful Wedded Life: The Witch insinuates that her marriage to the King is miserable and doomed to failure.
  • Boring Insult: Pulls one of these on the Witch by demanding some poppy seeds so she can nod off to sleep.
  • The Caligula: The Witch takes several shots at the Queen for being mentally unstable and quick to anger.
  • Composite Character: Primarily based on the version from the Disney cartoon, but there's a nod to the original novel version when the Witch mentions the King secretly freeing her prisoners, as well as one to the version from the Descendants series when the Witch calls her "Bridget".
  • Fat Bitch: There are plenty of fat jokes made at the Queen's expense.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: She's in full head-chopping form here.
  • Mister Muffykins: The Witch compares the Queen unfavorably to Dorothy's dog Toto, even casting her huge collar as a Cone of Shame.
  • Off with His Head!: Ends her last verse by demanding the Witch's head be cut off. Ironically, at the end of the video, the Witch beheads the Queen with her broomstick.
  • Paper Tiger: The Witch points out how, in the original story, the Queen could never actually execute anyone because the King kept pardoning her would-be victims.

  • Harbinger of Impending Doom: Like the Dutchman, he boasts that anyone who sees him is likely about to die.

Sadako Yamamura

  • Horror Hunger: Her eating Nome children gets brought up several times by both herself and her opponents.
  • Kudzu Plot: Wirt says that trying to follow the game's plot left him more lost than journeying through the Unknown.
Wirt: They went to the Scott Cawthon school of writing,
How they dawdle 'til their fans all find the storylines they didn't mean!
  • She Who Fights Monsters: Wirt tells her that she's just as bad as the creatures that hunt her in the Maw.
Wirt: If it's monsters you're evading, maybe hold up a mirror!

Wirt

Voiced by: Eric The Audible

  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: He boasts about having defeated his universe's version of Satan.
  • Drama Queen: Six calls him "a Halloween drama queen".
  • Fish out of Water: Six points out that he wouldn't have been able to survive the Unknown without lots of help from the natives.

  • Nervous Wreck: Mono claims that he's more fragile than the kids made out of glasses he shattered.
  • Never My Fault: Six accuses him of never taking responsibility and putting his burdens on his little brother Greg.
  • Parent with New Paramour: Six jokes that Wirt runs away from "all the noises [his] mom makes with her new husband".
  • Persona Non Grata: Six jokes that Wirt's highlight reel would just consist of him "getting kicked out of every village."
  • Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: Greg tells Six that Wirt wouldn't taste good with molasses so she should reconsider eating him cause he's too bitter.

Mono

Voiced by: Tibbie
"I shattered some kids like glass, and still haven't seen one this fragile!"

Greg

Voiced by: CKVoice
"Let's make like her parents, then, and play dead so she forgets us!"

    Santa vs. Satan

Santa Claus

Voiced by: Chase Beck
"I'm dropping off some gifts before you start the Apocalypse!"

  • Bad Santa: Or so Satan thinks, anyway. Satan accuses him of spying on and stalking children, only giving gifts to the already well-off, and corrupting the original meaning of Christmas, and implies that he's a pedophile.
  • Badass Santa: Doesn't get more badass than rap battling Satan.
  • Big Brother Is Watching: Satan accuses him of spying on children.
Satan: Spying on resting children, you're always watching
Must be a treat to stuff your nights with Christmas stalking!
  • Composite Character: Mainly based off the folkloric version, but there's also a nod to the version from The Santa Clause when Satan mentions him falling off a roof and dying, and the version from Coca-Cola commercials gets name-dropped.
  • Deal with the Devil: Defied. He refuses to sell his soul to Satan.
  • Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu?: He spends the entire battle telling off the Devil himself.
