Class 1-A

     Himiko Midoriya

Himiko Midoriya

Quirk: Transform

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/himiko_7.png

Izuku's adopted sister, taking his canonical place in Class 1-A. Her Quirk, Transform, allows her to shapeshift into anybody who she's drunken blood from and potentially copy their Quirks as well.

  • Adaptational Heroism: Being Happily Adopted by the Midoriyas means she never becomes a Villain and is instead a Hero student at UA High.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: She had an unrequited love towards Izuku in canon and was best friends with Jin/Twice. Here, the former is her adopted brother and she has not yet met the latter.
  • Ambiguously Bi: Outright stated to be bisexual in canon. She lights up when she hears Ochako's voice but has so far shown no interest in boys aside from teasing them.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Heavily implied to have gone through her canonical childhood before being Happily Adopted.
  • The Glomp: She rams into Izuku to give him a hug when they meet up at UA.
  • Happily Adopted: By the Midoriyas.
  • Offscreen Moment of Awesome: She made it into Class 1-A, which means she did exceptionally well in the Entrance Exam.
  • Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: A sibling version between her and Izuku: Himiko is friendly and wants to try new things, while Izuku keeps to himself and tends to think before he acts.
  • Shipper on Deck: She loves the idea of Izuku and Mina ending up together.
  • Troll: She enjoys vexing Aizawa to no end.

     Momo Yaoyorozu

Momo Yaoyorozu

Quirk: Creation

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/c_chara_main10_1.png

A girl who comes from a wealthy family and one of Izuku's fellow Quirk Anonymous-goers. Her Quirk, Creation, allows her to create just about anything as long as it's both non-living and also is aware of its chemical makeup.

  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: She's practically childhood friends with Izuku, Setsuna, and Hitoshi here.
  • Afraid of Their Own Strength: The reason she's attending Quirk Anonymous sessions is that she's afraid of the dangerous possibilities her Quirk is capable of.
  • Big Beautiful Woman: Her plan to bulk up for the Sports Festival ends up with her, Kyouka, Mina, Midnight, Miruko, and Mount Lady all getting very fat. However, Midnight reassures her that she's still beautiful no matter what.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Her plan to fatten up to increase her Quirk's capacity was good, but she did it in a restaurant and did NOT inform the waiters to only enhance her food and not Midnight, Mount Lady, Miruko, Kyouka, and Mina's food as well.
  • Honor Before Reason: Played for Laughs. She points out how unprofessional it would be for Sir Nighteye to treat her and the others to the three greatest amusement parks in the world for fighting and capturing Overhaul.
  • Matter Replicator: She's able to create anything she can think of, provided that she knows the chemical composition and its non-living.
  • Noodle Incident: When she was 6, she made something dangerous. No one was hurt, but she's never forgiven herself for it. This is part of the reason she attends Quirk Anonymous.
  • Pragmatic Hero: She fattened herself up so that she has more calories to work with during the Sports Festival.
  • Rich in Dollars, Poor in Sense: She seems to have some aspects of this, as she thinks nothing of having cars pick up her friends for the Friday hangout.
  • Spoiled Sweet: she does unintentionally flaunt her wealth at the get-together, but only because she wanted to make good memories with her friends. She was also fully prepared to use it for Eri’s medical needs.

     Mina Ashido

Mina Ashido

Quirk: Acid

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mina_ashido_full_body_school_uniform_4.png

A perky and friendly girl that Izuku befriended when he transferred to Aldera Private and whom he fell in love with. Her Quirk, Acid, allows her to produce acid that she can freely control the viscosity and solubility of.

  • Acrofatic: Even with her added weight, she's still incredibly nimble and quick. Also helps that with bigger pores she can make more acid.
  • Adaptational Job Change: She’s the Vice Rep of Class 1-A in this story, with Momo selecting her for her kindness and willingness to jump in and aid others.
  • All-Loving Hero/The Heart/Nice Girl: Her personality and way of heroism in a nutshell; she's out to have fun, make friends and keep people happy.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: Despite not being confrontational, she still stood up to Gigantomachia and a gang of bullies without a second thought like in canon.
  • Big Beautiful Woman: She gets fattened up along with Momo, Kyouka, Midnight, Miruko, and Mount Lady. However, they all wear the weight very well. Mina herself ends up losing the weight when Jester unleashes a Leech Quirk on her.
  • Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: Despite her kind nature and ability to make friends from enemies, she LOATHES Bakugo and never has any positive things to say about him.
  • Everyone Can See It: Class 1-C, most of whom barely know her, can tell Mina is just as sweet on Izuku as he is on her.
  • Fat and Proud: She doesn't mind getting fat and even admits that it helps build up her acid reserves.
  • The Glomp: She rushes to hug Izuku when she sees him at UA.
  • Ladykiller in Love: Gender inversed; she's a tease and a skilled matchmaker who is taken aback by the idea of Izuku being in love with her as she is with him.
  • Love Revelation Epiphany: During Izuku's rant against Bakugo, she learns just how much he loves her.
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's the niece of Curious of the MLA in this story, although she is not aware of her aunt's role as a villain.
  • Savvy Guy, Energetic Girl: Her and Izuku's dynamic. She's the Energetic Girl to his Savvy Guy.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: Even before they officially started dating, Mina was very protective of Izuku.

     Eijirou Kirishima

Eijirou Kirishima

Quirk: Hardening

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kirishima2.png

Mina and Izuku's best friend. His Quirk, Hardening, allows him to harden his body, increasing his strength and durability.

  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: He and Izuku are indeed friendly in canon, but they are outright stated to be best friends here. On the other hand, he LOATHES his canonical best friend, Katsuki Bakugou.
  • Best Friend: To both Izuku and Mina.
  • In Spite of a Nail: While details are not fully clear yet, the Gigtanomachia incident apparently still happened and Kirishima froze while Mina and Izuku took action.
  • My Greatest Failure: He's been guilt-ridden over not being able to do more for his friends such as during the incident with Gigantomachia and the battle with Bakugou at the USJ.
  • Nice Guy: One of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet...as long as you're not a bully like Katsuki Bakugou.
  • Noodle Incident: Whatever happened when he and Bakugou met obviously didn't end well.
  • Platonic Life-Partners: With Mina, his best friend.
  • Shut Up, Hannibal!: Along with the others, he calls out Jester and Bakugo for letting their pasts rule them.

     Ochako Uraraka

Ochako Uraraka

Quirk: Zero Gravity, One For All

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/uraraka.png

A girl Himiko befriended in Class 1-A. Her Quirk, Zero Gravity, allows her to remove the gravity of anything she touches. However, she seems to have a second power that was passed down to her by a certain Hero...

  • Adaptational Badass: All-Might's internal dialogue reveals that he passed down One For All to her, meaning she's getting all the powers it entails.
  • Adaptational Intelligence: She’s a bright girl on canon, but here she comes up with the idea of sharing OFA with others to negate the Rapid Aging all on her own.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: She was Izuku's love interest in canon and arguably the third/fourth most important character of the story. Here, she barely knows Izuku and is more familiar with Himiko, who she was enemies with canonically but they both seem to be good friends here.
  • Nice Girl: She shows herself to be a truly friendly and sociable girl when she meets Izuku at UA.
  • What You Are in the Dark: Why All Might chose her: she rushes to save someone from falling to their death, despite knowing she’s not allowed to use her Quirk without a license.

     Minoru Mineta

Minoru Mineta

Quirk: Pop Off

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mineta.png

A short and rather perverted boy whose lecherous words more often than not get him in trouble.

  • Grounded Forever: For inadvertently teaching Eri the word ‘porn’, he’s given detention for a whole semester by Aizawa and Nemuri. He at least has the decency to be ashamed of having done so.
  • Iron Butt Monkey: His antics constantly make him suffer Amusing Injuries but he always gets back up no worse for wear.

A strong young man who has a natural talent for baking, which goes well with his Quirk, Sugar Rush, which allows him to power himself up by consuming sugar.

  • Adaptational Expansion: He barely has any scenes in canon. Here, he takes on one of the Autoscorers.
  • Curb-Stomp Cushion: While Micha does end up overwhelming him, he DID manage to pin her down and learn how to expand on his Quirk thanks to Izuku's notes.
  • Power-Up Food: Sugar, in his case, at the cost of dumbing him down. Thanks to Izuku, he learns different kinds of sugars boost different aspects.

     Kyouka Jiro

An aloof and sarcastic tomboy with a knack for music as well as Momo's girlfriend.

  • What the Hell, Hero?: She calls out Shoto during the USJ Attack for holding back on his full Quirk, not caring about his justification to spite Endeavor.

A giant of a young man with multiple arms and a gentle disposition behind his intimidating appearance.

  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: He's childhood friends with Mina, Tooru, Koda, and Kamakiri, stemming from their own Quirks Anonymous meetings. He's also a couple with Itsuka Kendo, who he never interacted with in canon.
  • Gentle Giant: Despite his fearsome appearance, he's actually one of the kindest students in Class 1-A.
  • Official Couple: He's dating Itsuka Kendo of Class 1-B but would like to keep it quiet.

One of the Quirks Anonymous-goers and a Recommendation Student in Class 1-B.

  • The Ace: She got into UA via recommendation along with Momo.
  • Cool Big Sis: Acts this way to the other QA members.
  • Friend to All Children: She's one of the first to comfort Eri when she and her friends come across her.
  • Friendly Rival: Is aiming to become one of the Top 5 Pro Heroes alongside Izuku, Hitoshi, and Momo after Eri calls them cooler than All Might. However, while she says she won’t just let her friends get there without a fight, she clearly doesn’t care about winning.
  • Happily Adopted: She has two adoptive mothers, both with Snake-like Quirks.
  • Shout-Out: Outright compares her Quirk to Buggy the Clown.
  • Undying Loyalty: To all her fellow Quirk Anonymous-goers; she defends Jin when his job is potentially in jeopardy and refuses to allow anyone to disrespect the others, not even her own classmates.

     Monoma Neito

Monoma Neito

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/neito_monoma_anime.png

An arrogant and unpleasant boy who believes Class 1-B is the superior Hero class at UA.

  • Adaptational Jerkass: He was an annoying loudmouth who later got some Hidden Depths in canon. Here, he outright bullies (or tries to) Class 1-C.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: Carries himself like one, convinced of his superiority and thinking everyone else that's not in Class 1-B below him. A beating from Jin and his own classmate Setsuna changes this.
  • The Bully: He mocks Eri and tells several members of 1-C to consider a career in horror movies.
  • Dramatic Irony: For all his talk about being a proper UA student, Nedzu confides in Setsuna and Jin that they only let him in so that the staff can investigate his family for any connection to Humarize.
  • Groin Attack: When he tries to antagonize Classes 1-C and 1-D, Hitoshi brainwashed him and forces him to punch himself in the balls as hard as humanely possible.
  • Politically Incorrect Hero: 'Hero' in name/training only, but Monoma sees no problem in mocking the scarred/inhuman-looking members of Class 1-C, nor does he see any wrong in laughing at a scared little girl.
  • Spoiled Brat: His parents are UN ambassadors for Otheon, so it stands to reason, given his personality, Monoma has had it easy most of his life.
