Same as always, let's ramp up quantity.

The Last Legion:

  • Moral Event Horizon: Nestor and the emperor of Eastern Empire cross it the moment they [
].

The Last Legion:

  • Demythification: All of Ambrosinus' acts of magic are tricks and frauds pulled on ignorant people.
  • Death or Glory Attack: [
].
  • Dragon with an Agenda/The Starscream: Wulflia, who does his best to get free from Odoacer's command and instantly turns into the new Big Bad.
  • Et Tu, Brute?: [
] grows more and more disillusioned with the state of Roman Empire, but the final push is made when [
].
  • Greater Need Than Mine: Aurelius and his men have this stance toward falling Roman Empire and Romulus.
  • The Horde: Barbarians of all kinds and flavours are tearing what's left of the Roman Empire apart.
  • Involuntary Battle to the Death: Neither [
] want to kill each other since they are friends, but only by doing so each of them may succeed with their agenda and save their own life.
  • Leave Behind a Pistol: After learning the truth about the deal with the Eastern Empire [
].
  • Loads And Loads Of Characters: How many characters you ask? There are three Big Bads, each of them playing their completely separate game.

  • Dragon with an Agenda can be replaced with The Starscream (also, Odoacer's).
  • Et Tu, Brute? as a trope name must not be spoiler tagged as per Spoiler Policy. The name of the person who experiences the trope can be spoiler-tagged. Entirely tagged entries are also an annoyance to the reader, so tag only key sentences or names.
  • The Horde: Barbarians of all kinds and flavours are tearing what's left of Roman might the Roman Empire apart.
  • Involuntary Battle to the Death: Neither [[spoiler:Aurelius nor Nestor]] want to kill each other, since they are friends, but only by doing so each of them may succeed with their agenda and save their own life.
  • Leave Behind a Pistol (no potholes in trope names, as per Administrivia.Sinkhole): After learning the truth about the deal with the Eastern Empire [[spoiler: and killing his way to safety''',''' Aurelius gives Nestor a sword to end his life instead of facing repercussions for failure or forcing Aurelius to kill his friend. Nestor decides to take his chance and tries to kill Aurelius instead]].
  • Moral Event Horizon is a YMMV trope and thus must be relegated to the corresponding page.

[up][up]Good evening, rzorrz. In Et Tu, Brute?, I think it'd be enough to spoiler-tag "Aurelius" and the part after "when". Also, I think it should be "towards" in both cases, not "toward", but I'm not sure.

[up]Hi, Jristz. Sorry if I'll be elaborating too much, but well...

  • Punny Name - when short noun is turned into another kind of word, the last letter is doubled (like cut - cutting). The same here: pun - punny.
    • Plural form - "Elks", "elk puns" and "others".
    • When turning verb ("mention") into adjective, you add "ed" at the end - "mentioned".
    • Word Of God, with one "o". Also, while "are good too" would be good, the opposite is "aren't good either".
  • Spell My Name With An S: misspellings - It should be "the", not "they", and "naming".
  • The Good King: I have to admit that I'm not sure what you mean by "Article without change".

Mostly I literally FlipRageQuit because Half post was deleted accidentaly by my cat... and that was at 3AM and the original post was FAR long than this, sorry for that last uncomplete part previously, better I start not writting Long posts.

What do you think about this part now?

The Elks

     Elkrond
     Thranduelk
  • Above Good and Evil: He's willing to return Sombra's dark powers in exchange for his aid, fully aware of what he might do. He brushes off criticisms with this trope.
  • The Ageless: Thanduelk is one thanks to the Fountain in the Village later was destroyed by Freckles' mom.
     Elkolas
  • The Good King: After being unanimously elected king after his father Thranduelk leaves in disgrace, he welcomes the Crystal Wolves into the village, and extends a permanent invitation to Coffee Talk, Sea Breeze and Drizzle to visit whenever they like.

[up]Ouch. I know this feeling... Anyway:

  • Punny Name: I missed that last time, but before "Right" there should be dot, not comma.
  • Above Good and Evil: "fully aware of what Sombra might do" - there's a lot of "he" in this sentence and both Sombra and Thranduelk are male.
  • The Ageless: Comma after "Thranduelk", and "thanks to [
] fountain in the Village" - the other way round, it seems like entire village was destroyed. The part about Sombra is unnecessary here.
The rest looks OK to me.

[up][up]Hello, rzorrz.

That's it.

[up] Actually Half the village was destroyed, more exactly: 2 huts, the fountain and the cave containing it, and one part of the barrier that keep the village hidden; I pretty sure that there is a better way to refrase this to sound accurated.

  • The Ageless: Thanduelk, thanks to the Fountain in the Village that was destroyed alongside half village.

What about that [up] one?

Done

Wow, looks impressive - only 4 bad entries, none of which was mangled too much. Given that lately I'm making more mistakes than two months ago, returning to my old pace is almost an improvement. Or I'm just getting tense about tomorrow's resit exam and I need to catch some break...

Please post after checking. Some entries may be already in place, I wrote them three weeks ago and the film is brand new, so it's quite possible people are working on its page.

Everly:

  • Adult Fear: The film invokes it in few really unpleasant ways. Just imagine:
    • A hit-squad is heading to your family house, ready to kill your daughter and mother and all you can do is listen to the sounds of the assault via phone.
    • Not to mention constant fear that your own daughter, raised by her grandmother, will never recognise you as mother.
    • A mob boss casually talking about selling your child into sex slavery, while having all means to do that.
  • Bait-and-Switch Gunshot: Before the title screen shows up, we see Everly pointing a gun at her head and one of the mooks getting into the bathroom she is in. Bam, fade to black. In the very next scene another mook is surprised when suddenly Everly steps over the dead body of his friend and starts shooting.
  • Black Dude Dies First: Zelda is the first assailant sent to get Everly and thus first casuality of all the attacks.
  • Bland-Name Product: The Pinky Bear, which is exactly what it sounds like. Apparently it's some tie-in line for little girls - Maisey is wearing a PJ with one and Everly gives her a plush toy as a present.
  • Enemy Civil War: The hookers are too busy killing each other over the bounty to actually get Everly or do her any harm.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Subverted. Taiko decides to spare Maisey's life, but only to use her as a child sex slave. From this point on he does not need to do anything else to be completely despised by viewers.
  • Extremely Short Timespan: The action takes place almost in real time.

And sorry for being almost a spammer recently

Done. And I just delated Complete Monster - it's not worth the hassle to use any of the "cleanup threads", since they take weeks to decide on even the most obvious cases and I'm here to get ban removed, not to waste additional time.

As always - please post after checking

Everly:

  • Gorn: The film does not shy from all the blood (including almost literal fountain of it), guts and splattered brains.
  • Go Fetch: How Banzai the dog and his owner are dispatched - [
].
  • Hemo Erotic: After torturing Everly with a finger put in her gunshot wound, Taiko sugestively licks that finger.
  • Instant Death Bullet: Averted. Countless people get shot in non-fatal ways and then either are patched up, start dying for hours or just shrug the wound and continue their task, helped with adrenaline rush.
  • Lampshade Hanging:
    • The film takes into notion all the corpses that start to pile all over the appartment and the damage done to the set.
    • When Zelda shows up with two sais to dispatch Everly, one of the mooks instantly points out her strange weapon choice.
  • Law of Inverse Recoil: Played With. When preparing for Zelda's attack, Everly grabs an MP5. When she starts firing it, the recoil throws her aim up to the roof. On the other hand she later [
].
  • Made of Iron: Everly, [
] take astonishing amount of punishment like it was nothing.
  • Minimalism: Not counting the very last camera take, the entire film takes place within single apartment and corridor right next to it.
  • No Honor Among Thieves: The moment a bounty is set on Everly head, every hooker in the apartment block want to kill her and other hookers to prevent them from collecting the bounty.
  • Not Quite Dead: Few examples:
    • The mook that managed to shoot Everly in the opening scene - she was sure a single bullet was enough for him.
    • The unnamed mook sitting on the coach is treated as a dead body for a while before regaining consciousness.
    • [
].

Necromancy attempt

As always - please post after checking

Wasteland 2

  • There is also entire box of MacGyver VHS tapes in Ag Center. Since none of your characters remember the show, they assume the guy must have been the owner. [note]This one should be added under the bulletpoint already discussing MacGyver[/note]

Wasteland 2:

  • All Hail the Great God Mickey!: The Rail Nomads worship John Henry and Choo Choo Charlie as their gods. It Crosses the Line Twice when Atchisons mock Topekans for having such ridiculous and unmanly deity as Choo Choo Charlie.
  • Appeal to Flattery: All dialogue options unlocked by Kiss Ass skill fall squarely under this trope.
  • Appeal to Force: And those given by Hard Ass skill are all about intimidation.
  • Blatant Lies: First clue that something is definitely off about her is when doctor Sidney Kyle "can't recall" where or when she learned all the stuff required to outfit people with extensive prosthetics.
  • Butterfly of Doom: Turning over a turtle that is trapped on its back triggers a series of events that, three years later, will cause robots to appear and kill everyone in Rail Nomad Camp. This ending is not implemented into the game, but remains in the files. Even if, it's still widely considered a sadistic sucker punch on players, since the punishment literally comes out of nowhere and is especially jarring in case of defeating Cochise AI.
  • Cool, but Inefficient: The legendary Blood Staff is dealing massive damage for its tier, can attack diagonaly, has longer range than single tile and remains reliable weapon thanks to even better multiplier for critical damage. It also costs 7 Action Points to swing it, while other melee weapon take between 3 and 5 AP. Even with upgrade lowering AP intake it still falls a bit short.
  • Critical Existence Failure: Being a Genre Throwback of oldschool cRPG, the game makes enemies retain their full combat potential regardless of remaining hitpoints. Luckily, this also applies to your characters.
  • Cycle of Revenge: The conflict between Topekans and Atchisons reached the point where both sides are driven purely by revange for previous attack. Both chiefs completely lost the well-being of their people from their sight and just want to kill as many people from the opposite camp as possible.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: Achieving good or at least neutral future for each location not only takes a lot of extra work and sidequests requiring high levels of non-combat skills, but sometimes also counter-intuitive decision. And the game makes Golden Ending impossible by design, since either Highpool or Ag Center will be destroyed, no matter how hard you try - it's even inovked by one of the loading tips.
  • Epic Fail: Critical Failures aside, rescue of Ralphy can end up with a totem pole smashing his head instead of providing a way to get him out of the water.
  • Hidden Elf Village: Darwin Village, hidden within heavily irradiated area. The place itself is known to many, but everyone simply assumed nothing could survive in such conditions nor there are any convinient ways to get there to check the real situation.

Hey, here is a suggestion for "Reality Ensues" page on "Mythology and Religion" Folder (God, I hope my english isn't as terrible as it used to be...)

" In the Karuk legend "How the Coyote got his Cunning", The Top God gave the first human being the task of reunite all the animals around the world to determine who among them was the strongest to the weakest based on the size of the bow he would give to them. After he gathered all the animals and asked them to come back the next day to receive their bows, Coyote decided to stay awake all night so he would be the first in the line to get the biggest bow. He succeeded to stay awake all night, but before the sun rise, Coyote started to become exhausted from staying up late, so he decided to [[Determinator run around the world 4 times to stay awake]]... which resulted in Coyote to collapse, since he decided to work out while he was too tired to stay awake. As a result, Coyote received the smallest bow when he wake up, since it was the only bow left."

[up][up][up]Hi, Rat Splat 68. It's not very bad, but there are some things:

  • "the task of reuniting"
  • "who among them is the strongest and the weakest"
  • "he would give them" (no "to")
  • "all night so that he..."
  • "before the sun rose"
  • "resulted in Coyote collapsing as he decided..."
  • "when he woke up as it was..."
If you want to, fix it in your post and I'll put it on the page.

Rejoice!
