I'm a pretty simple guy to understand: I fully believe in the omniverse, I love to have fun, but I also hate any & all discrimination. To that extent I may come off as unusual, but very rarely do I ever try being a legitimate nuisance. I've been visiting since 2009, but didn't officially join until 2013 if I remember correctly. The first two Tropes I saw were Chessmaster and Hammerspace, having followed from outside links.

My favorite things to do is indulge in media (be it shows, games, or writing), create and refine projects/characters, and sing random things. I finished school early, and have been spending my time simply enjoying life. Finally, I'm also constantly trying to refine my writing skills (though I hate describing things) though I have yet to actually complete a story due to constantly getting distracted if not simply being lazy.

In addition, I've also been making Playing With entries, the goal being that those tropes get used more often or in new ways.

     Favorite Tropes

  • Another Dimension & Alternate Universe: Because there's only so much that can be done in a standard Earth setting, alternate dimensions and universes allow new territory to be explored. That, and technically all fiction & adaptations are alternate realities so yeah.
  • Constructed World: There's only so much you can do using alternate Earth settings, and a Constructed setting means none of the limitations of a "this could happen here" kind of story.
  • Creating Life: Quite frankly creating a brand new lifeform is simply exquiste, divine even. Plus, toying around with why someone would create is interesting.
  • Exact Words: Mainly because it is fun messing with people, and because it goes great with The Reveal. Can't make claims of trickery if you weren't told any lies.
  • Freak Lab Accident: Just find it inherently cool, having a character be exposed to a freak event and ending up changed. Particularly, the unpredictability and Violation of Common Sense means nobody is going to actually Invoke it. Thus a deliciously dramatic Trope, where Cursed with Awesome can be a regular result & only the deranged would attempt to replicate these events.
  • Futuristic Tech Index: If for no other reason, I like futuristic tech Tropes because they can fundamentally alter society and life, thus great to examine and explore.
  • Magic and Powers: Since these basically alter or exploit reality, I find magic & powers pretty interesting since characters who can use those can defy human reasoning.
  • Mecha Tropes: Simply, using and fighting with a giant robot is absolutely awesome.
  • Not Quite Human: As I enjoy writing for characters who aren't vanilla humans, precisely because they aren't quite human they're great for character introspection.
  • Parents as People: I do everything for the character, for the story, so ultimately my parental characters aren't pre-designed to fit certain molds- Instead naturally fitting whatever they do because of their own actions and personality.
  • Personality Powers: In general, I like the idea of superpowers being based off a person's beliefs and so on. Specifically its a pretty cool Trope, since it easily allows for variation in a Mass Super-Empowering Event whilst also making it clear to a person what kind of personality they do have.
  • Playing with a Trope: Because it is awesome using and exploring Tropes in new ways, in addition to its potential in shaping how a Trope will normally be used.
  • Robot Roll Call: In general I'm very fond of artificial lifeforms, though robots and A(G)Is in particular I like because they're a fundamentally different form of life than organics.
  • Shapeshifting: I find physical change pretty interesting, with particular interest for tropes like One-Winged Angel and generally combat-related changes.
  • Slime Girl: Though not a Trope I regularly use, I feel like the concept is underused and actually full of potential.
  • The Reveal: Primarily because it is exciting having your expectations, and Reveals are great ways to make an important part of plot or character backstory shocking.

     Tropes That Fit My Life

  • Afraid of Doctors: Downplayed, as whilst I don't freak out I rarely ever get to see a doctor, and generally not very trusting given they seem to misunderstand autism too.
  • Afraid of Needles: Formerly as a child, just completely freaking out because ya know- Strange people stabbing you isn't super fun. Now any fear would need a logical justification first.
  • Ambiguous Disorder: Though I was officially labelled Autistic as a child, nearly all my childhood behavior was pretty normal, whereas anything else was either For the Lulz or wanting to be popular. Now that I'm mature, people are regularly surprised to hear I'm autistic, so... No idea why I'm labelled autistic really.
  • Appeal to Worse Problems: Honestly a severely disliked concept, as everyone's problems are important and anyone trying to dismiss them probably don't care themselves.
  • Berserk Button: Go ahead and try, unless you're literally my immediate family it is impossible for you to enrage me. The closest you'll get is if you're a jerk invoking Never Live It Down against me, and even then that's more annoyance. Still, for my family? Blatantly dismissing me, treating my hobbies as unimportant, and generally being idiots ("other people have worse problems" "swears are stupid stupid bad words") will do it.
  • Death of Personality: Whilst there's been multiple moments that I realize my past and present personality are rather different, there was such a clear shift once I got off my medication I actually broke down in tears apologizing for 'killing(?)' my previous personality.
  • Freudian Excuse: Subverted or Averted, either way there's been plenty of events in my life that could of messed me up (my parents getting divorced as a child or myself alone sent to foster care are prominent examples)- And instead I've become a pretty well adjusted person all things considered.
  • I Hate Past Me: Downplayed, as I'm occasionally annoyed with my past but never outright hate. Doesn't mean I'm proud or respectful of these past incarnations, even fully acknowledging if past-me was a jackass or utter idiot.
  • I Just Want to Be Special: Downplayed or Exaggerated depending on my mood, but in general I don't want to be an ordinary person just going through the motions- Whether that be as a member of the creative industry, or discovering some proof of grander things.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: They're my favorite for starters, and always had an affinity for them as a kid. Was kind of shitty as a kid though...
  • Never Live It Down: Problem of mine where people refuse to forget my past and ignore any actions of mine showing I'm a better person. Though while this does annoy me online with people who don't even know me getting me blacklisted, this is more extreme with my own parents who keep treating me like I'm an immature nine year old. Less annoyingly is how they refuse to let me drive all because of reckless video game driving as a little kid.
  • Nice Guy: I'm actually a pretty pleasant guy who really doesn't hate anyone, instead actually being rather shocked by insaner crap that humans pull. Really, the only people that get any kind of disrespect from me is my immediate family, but that is rather justified. Even then that's nearly always reactionary.
  • Tropes Are Tools: I fully believe nothing has inherent morality, and thus I'll gleefully Play With a Trope if I think there's potential there to explore in a story. However I don't mindlessly use a Trope just to use it, and I always have a purpose in mind even if that's merely "this is awesome/hilarious/etc".
