Lesser Gods

    Chrom
Chrom, God of Last-Second Ending Choices (Newly Exalted, Blue, Prince of Ylisse, Chromvoy)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ssbu_chrom.png
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: The Mark of Naga
  • Theme Song: Conquest (Ablaze)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Portfolio: Authoritive Badass, Badass Cape, Badass King, Badass Voice, Nice Guy, Mentor to Lissa, Determinator, No Access to Armsthrift, The Hero, The Leader, Memetic Loser, One-Man Army, Warrior Prince, Item Caddy (though don't bring it up in his presence).
  • Domain: Family, Loyalty, Kingship, Sword, Destiny
  • Allies:
  • Odd Friendship: Ragna the Bloodedge, Aikuro Mikisugi, Captain America, Squigly
  • Enemies: Grima, Ragyou Kiryuin, Melkor, Deathwing, Allant, Ostarion, Griffith, Relius Clover, Witch King
  • Rivals: Captain Falcon
  • Opposes: Viridi
  • Conflicting Opinion: Kiritsugu Emiya
  • Worthy Opponent: Ephraim
  • Chrom, with the right pair ups, would be the head patriarch of a Badass Family. To give a good example, if Chrom would to marry Sumia, she would give birth to the Lucina and Cynthia. Then have his sisters, Emmeryn and Lissa, marry Robin and Lon'Qu, respectively. The latter sister would give birth to Owain and the former would give birth to Morgan(f). If you have those four kids marry the children of Chrom's True Companions, who are like family, you have a small Badass Army with future badass babies. Also, as a funny alternative, you can have male Robin marry either Lucina or Cynthia who would birth Morgan and make Chrom a grandpa by default (much to his chagrin).
Chrom (nearly fainting, being held up by Frederick): I'm too young to be a grandfather...
    • He was also not happy to discover that he can now possibly be a great-grandfather. This would occur if his wife was the Dancer, Olivia, who bore Inigo, who went with Owain to Nohr and took the name Laslow and then got married and had Soleil as his daughter, who in turn married a male Corrin and gave birth to Kana.
    • Upon further review, the Court of the Gods decided that Chrom did not meet the criteria of a stern patriarch, so he was given the seat of Last-Second Ending Choices, as his final choice whether to deal the final blow to Grima (him or Robin) was the most impactful choice in his story.
  • Was joyfully welcomed to the Pantheon by both Lucina, Robin and the already ascended Shepherds. Chrom was surprised however to see that there were two Robins in the Pantheon. Though, he didn't worry too much and was just happy to be with his friends.
  • Was not very happy when he found out that some believe he is just a loser after his defeat at the hands of Captain Falcon. It's not help that Viridi talks about how useless he is without Robin. Luckily, there are many who don't believe he is a loser.
  • Chrom found out there were some deities who sounded like him when he speaks Japanese, such as Joseph Joestar and Ragna the Bloodedge. He has since made allies of the two. He was, however, mistaken by Kouta Kazuraba to be Demushu because of his voice, but it was quickly cleared up.
    • He also found out that he sounds like more deities when he speak English like Aikuro Mikisugi, Jotaro Kujo, Kanji Tatsumi, and Kiritsugu Emiya. Chrom was a bit conflicted on what Kiritsugu did in the mortal realm, and he was a bit unnerved that some think he does Aikuro's poses to Robin(f). And then there's Yusuke Kitagawa, who sounds like Chrom regardless of whether they're speaking English or Japanese.
  • Was not to happy to learn that Grima was also in the Pantheon and was still trying to turn Robin as his new vessel. Just like before, he swears he won't let that happen.
  • Lucifer is amused by Chrom's belief that fate can be changed, despite being so loyal to law. Lucifer makes it clear that while fate can change, it can lead to both good and bad change, which is the result of it being a chaotic ideal. Although his worldview is similar to Walhart's, Chrom accepts that the Morningstar is right.
  • He swears that he hasn't met Conan the Barbarian and the latter hasn't said to him "To hell with you!". That would be Crom, not Chrom.
  • He is taking part in another adventure with a appearance different from what many were used to. While the exact reasoning is not clear, rumors have spread that he took up that look because he was still bitter about not having a larger role in the Smash tournament. Apparently he's also bringing in Caeda, the wife of his great ancestor Marth, along. Though they did get along well beforehand.
  • Allied himself with Alexstraza and Ysera as they both remind him of Tiki. This naturally made him enemies with Deathwing. Especially when he heard what he wanted to do with the two female dragons, which sickens him.
    • He also made enemies with both Ragyou Kiryuin and Relius Clover for being very abusive parents towards their children.
  • It's potentially a bad idea to have Chrom use other weapons that aren't the Falchion. He has a habit of breaking them after a few uses, though he is capable of using lances when necessary. Also, don't use him to carry your items. It's degrading.
  • Parasoul, somewhat reminding him of Emmeryn, (in part due to their similar voices,) is a good ally of him, even though she pretty much took the opposite approach his older sister did when faced with taking the crown.
  • Can be seen in the House of Combat training with his daughter, Lucina.
  • You know, it's not just the females who find Chrom attractive.
  • When Arvis paid a visit to Ylisse, Chrom noted how pleasant he was and wondered if the history of Jugdral got him wrong. When Arvis ascended, Chrom was given some history lessons about Jugdral and even had to admit that it was... fucked up. But he nevertheless recognized Arvis' noble goals and kept their friendship.
  • Captain America sees Chrom as a noble and heroic man, both having served their countries and risking certain death in the process, all while leading a force of other heroes in the process. Cap also took note of Chrom's shield, the Shield of Seals which is also the Fire Emblem itself.
  • Eventually to make up for the beating and Chrom's angsty phase as stated above, Captain Falcon gave him an invitation to the next Smash Bros tournament and a gigantic cake at that. Chrom was overjoyed and decided to present the cake as a present for Lucina (he's a loving father after all). Unfortunately, he tripped and fell flat on the face along with the cake right in front of Lucina, but she's just glad he could make it to the tournament.

    Kazuya (Shin Megami Tensei I
Kazuya, God of Settling On One of Multiple Endings (The Hero, The First Hero, First Champion, Sho, Futsuo, Adam)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ezimba15961658555200.png
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His COMP
  • Theme Song: Ruins
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Demon Tamer, Badass Normal, Ambadassador, Destroying All His Opposition To Save The World, Heroes Prefer Swords But Uses Guns Too, Terrible Singer, Forced To Kill His Friends, Living Legend, Adapting Really Quickly, Zero Magic Potential, One-Man Army, Killed In An Assassination That Was Then Made To Look Like A Cave-In
  • Domains: Demons, Neutrality
  • Heralds: Pascal (his pet dog/Cerberus), the Heroinenote
  • Allies: Stephen, Mido (as his former herald), Cerberus, Aleph, Flynn, Naoki Kashima/The Demi-Fiend, Kazuya Minegishi, Hibiki Kuze, Raidou Kuzunoha, Isabeau, Burroughs
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Imperium of Man, Ash Ketchum
  • Enemies: YHVH, Lucifer, The White, Chiaki Hayasaka, Isamu Nitta and Hikawa, the Divine Powers, Chakravartin, the Administrators, Mem Aleph, Belial and Nebiros, Malthael, Satan (Castlevania)
  • Pities: Erik Lensherr/Magneto
  • Conflicting Opinion: Dagda and Nanashi
  • The thing about a game with multiple endings is that if it gets a sequel, one of the endings (or none of them) has to become canon. In the search for a candidate, Stephen immediately nominated the first of his Messiahs, simply known as the Hero, but assigned the name Kazuya for easy calling. And bringing him over was simple since he was already in the Pantheon as Mido's Herald (for whatever reason).
  • As a present for his ascension, Stephen upgraded his COMP one last time: he no longer needs to keep collecting Magnetite to sustain demons he summons, though he does still dismiss them when he's not fighting, and collects and keeps some around for bribing demons with. This is on top of being able to summon up to five demons at once (as opposed to the Demi-Fiend's, Flynn's, Isabeau's, and Nanashi's three).
  • Never knew his father, who had left him before he was able to tell what was going on around him. That is why he doesn’t really know what having a father is like and his longing for a father figure is unusually strong. Presumably, this is related to his concern about demons. Since he had very few opportunities to interact with his father, it can be said that this resulted in his interest in the power of demons, in other words, the power associated with a father.
  • Having lost his own to a demon who impersonated her when he got home, Kazuya has a soft spot for those who lost their mothers (unless of course, it was of their own conscious doing).
  • Apparently, there was an old story (now dead) called 20XX that talks about what happens after Kazuya sided with Law.
  • While without any means of using magic, Kazuya can get around this by sword fusion, and thanks to the Diamond Realm DLC, he's inhereited a few abilities (though still Physical) such as Lightspeed Slash, Crescent Slice, Mist Rush, Charge, and Morale Boost, resistance to physical and gun attacks, and invulnerability to Light and Dark attacks.
  • Probably due to how he was forced to be omnicidal in his fight for Neutrality, Kazuya isn't as immediately opposing of Dagda. After everything he's been through, removing all divinities and restarting humanity anew has its appeal. That said, now that he's no longer alone in the fight for humanity, he's not ready to have the slate wiped clean right now.
  • Wary of all angelic deities along with Malthael and Castlevania!Satan because they remind him of his efforts to rebuild the world into a Neutral one ruined by Law, and the Mutants and Gaeans who helped him ostracized and kicked down into Makai. There's also the fact that Pascal/Cerberus and Madam, who carried on what was left of his legacy in Valhalla, got killed and destroyed by Abaddon after he was deceived by the Archangels that he would be restored to Angelhood. Thankfully, the weak Mutants who aren't able to defend themselves were taken in and protected by Lucifer in Makai.
    • Speaking of Mutants, he sort of understands why Magneto does what he does for mutant-kind. That said, he'd prefer to find a peaceful solution.
  • As for the God-Emperor of Mankind and his Imperium, to say he's horrified with what it's become in order to survive the Chaos Gods, Necrons, Orks, and all the rest would be the understatement of the century. As a result, he finds it difficult to work with them.
  • Wants to remind folks not to take the bullet for a "demon tamer" who has time to summon a demon who can take the hit for them. He doesn't want a repeat of the Law Hero's Senseless Sacrifice.
  • Doesn't like Hikawa and the Demi-Fiend's former friends, finding all of their Reasons repulsive. Chiaki in particular he feels is actually worse than the Chaos Hero. While the weak dying out was just a side-effect of his goal, the weak being exterminated is her goal.
  • Reacts poorly when challenged to Pokémon battles. He predates Pokémon and friendly Mon battles by several years, and every other demon summoner he met before his ascension wanted to either kill or mug him. The first time he was challenged to a Pokémon battle, he mistook it for another random attack. In subsequent challenges, he had to be informed that the Trainer does not participate directly into the battle, it is illegal to assault the opposing Trainer, there can only be a certain number of Pokémon on the field at one time, and that it is not normal to request a Pokémon or computer part from the loser. He has not been banned, but the Pokémon League has decided that anyone who wants to engage him in a Pokémon battle must state clearly that they want a Pokémon battle instead of just locking eyes.
    • Ash Ketchum dislikes how he treats his demons, since the fusion system requires him to dispose of them once they stop being useful, in favor of stronger demons. Kazuya retorts that unlike Ash, he can't make his demons stronger without fusion, and he doesn't have the same amount of storage space. Also, shouldn't he have asked this question to Flynn or Aleph, who're demon tamers like him and were in the Pantheon long before him? He understands if he couldn't ask the Demi-Fiend or Nanashi.
  • He hates Nebiros for killing his friend the Law Hero, who in return (alongside Belial) hate him for refusing Alice's request to die for her, and then sealing Belial and killing Nebiros.
  • Extremely happy to meet once again with his first and most loyal companion, Cerberus. Many onlookers were surprised the Celestial Guard Dog actually behave like an enthusiastic puppy around Kazuya, but master and demon remember the good old days before their world fell. Kazuya is also thankful that even if he eventually fell, Cerberus and his next master, Aleph eventually succeeded in saving the world, validating his own life and granting him a measure of comfort.

    Tadano Hitonari
Tadano Hitonari, Avatar of Alignment-Based Endings (Commander of the Schwarzwelt Investigational Team, Langdon Alger, Lance Murdock, Space Marine, Spess Mehren, Japanese Doomguy)

  • Symbol: His DEMONICA helmet
  • Theme Song: Morale
  • Alignment: Starts as Neutral Good, remains so in the Neutral paths, Chaotic Evil in the Chaos path, Lawful Evil in the Law path, Chaotic Good in the New Chaos path, and Lawful Good in the New Law path

  • Followers: Kyle Katarn, Sarah, Leonhardt Raglan, The Kalach-Cha/Knight-Captain, Aramus/The Force Commander
  • Allies: (Insert Name Here)
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Imperium of Man (Neutral and New Law Paths), Asura (New Law Path)
  • Enemies: The Grand United Alliance of Destruction, Dharkon, The Divine Powers, Chakravartin, The Administrators, The Godhand, Griffith, Fused Zamasu, Shekinah (except for the "old" Law and Chaos paths, in which they're more Unwitting Pawn)
  • Supported by: Lucifer (New Neutral, New Chaos, and—yes—New Law Paths)
  • It's a well-known fact that the Shin Megami Tensei games have multiple endings based on the Player Character's alignment. But with all of the Great Will's Messiahs in the Pantheon already, who else is left to represent that aspect? That was when Stephen found an oft-ignored representative from an ambiguously Gaiden Game.
  • The protagonist of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, to be addressed by his Drama CD name Tadano Hitonari, was a Japanese (or American) soldier of Earth during a present-day time period when the Schwarzwelt appeared in Antarctica. The United Nations assembled a quartet of teams comprised of the brightest minds, most talented soldiers (Hitonari among them), and the most advanced technology they had available. Their mission: enter and explore the interior of the Schwarzwelt, and find a way to stop it before the entire world is consumed.
    • Of course, things aren't as simple as that. Their foes proved far more dangerous than it seemed, the Schwarzwelt's reason for existing proved more complicated than it seemed, and the demons proved invisible to the naked eye before a Mysterious Benefactor granted them the Demon Summoning Program for a fighting chance. Humanity would be tested as they explored the Schwarzwelt, and circumstances led to Hitonari being in the lead and ultimately deciding the fate of his kind.
  • Due to the nature of his trope, all of his versions were required to ascend. That not only meant the Neutral, Law, and Chaos versions, but their New versions, too, leading to a total of six. Upon hearing who was planned for ascension, YHVH and Mem Aleph were quick to bring forth the versions fitting their own paths while Stephen and Cosmos (with anonymous aid from Lucifer for all but one) helped ascend the rest.
  • In terms of residences, to minimize clashes with one another, their temples take the form of five Red Sprites, the hover-capable landships that the Schwarzwelt Investigational Team used to explore the demon realms, but modified and miniaturized to enable reasonable solo travel with it. Why five when there are six Hitonaris? The two Neutral Hitonaris share a "temple" because they share the same ideals; there's no point in separating them. While the other New Hitonaris are also good people, they have their separate agendas that can take them to different places in the Pantheon.
  • Applies to all or some of them:
    • Wanna know what exactly their paths took them? Well...
      • Law Hitonari helped turn his Earth into a world of total peace where it devotes itself solely to praising the greatness of God (YHVH).
      • Chaos Hitonari helped turn his Earth into a primordial world of gods and demons, where only the strongest survive and humanity is expected to suffer for their role in disrupting the natural order.
      • Neutral Hitonari successfully performs the original mission of the Investigational Team and destroys the Schwarzwelt, but it's implied that it will return so long as humanity doesn't get its act together.
      • New Law Hitonari helepd turn his Earth into a peaceful world without violence that still has its free will, but runs the risk of leaving humanity vulnerable without the will to fight should a threat arise.
      • New Chaos Hitonari helped turn his Earth into one where nature flourishes and humanity can live in harmony with gods, demons and the Earth. Instead of a world ruled by strength, it becomes a world filled with infinite possibilities for humanity, where each person is free to act as they choose.
      • New Neutral Hitonari destroys the Schwarzwelt like his "old" counterpart, but also uses the Cosmic Fruit to become Earth's immortal protector against the Schwarzwelt as it appears again and again until humanity can learn its lesson and break the Eternal Recurrence themselves.
    • Despite whatever blessings they've received (if they still retain them), all versions of Hitonari still fight as they did before; with swords, guns, and summoned demons.
      • It was a surprise to discover that the DEMONICA was in the Pantheon's Treasury. Now that there are six more suits, a change of policy has been in consideration in regards to requisitioning and reverse-engineering it. Thus this gave the Grand United Alliances of Good, Law, and Chaos a head start in research. The GUAs of Evil, Destruction, and Machines are now dedicated to capturing the Hitonaris in order to requisition their DEMONICAs for themselves. Other independent forces not among the above who have interest in the suits are trying the same.
    • In case you're wondering how Hitonari can either be Japanese or American? Well, he's half of both ethnicities.
    • Being of differing alignments, there is naturally opposition among themselves, though mainly from the Law and Chaos Hitonaris, even against their New counterparts. Even New Chaos and New Law have their disagreements. It's a good thing their temples are separate.
    • While they're not exactly on their old mission anymore, their expedition in the Schwarzwelt has conditioned them to pick up everything in sight that doesn't have a clear owner (and perhaps beat up the owner if there is and if they think it can benefit them more). The good Hitonaris do their best to use their manners, though.
    • Besides those who desire total annihilation of all life, given their interactions with Jack's Squad, there's one thing all Hitonaris share their despisal for; all Private Military Contractors and Mad Scientists, especially if they any sort of morals. And in the case of Law, Chaos, and (to a lesser extent) New Law Hitonaris, the alignment of these mercenaries or doctors doesn't matter to them; they all must die horribly.
    • Since there are multiple Hitonaris, all of them would naturally be aware of Funny Valentine because of his Stand's ability to easily obliterate them if they are not careful. The only one who doesn't quite have to worry about that tidbit is Law Hitonari due to the president's affiliations with the GUAL.
  • Exclusive to the Neutral paths:
    • New Neutral Hitonari told the "Old" Neutral Hitonari about the latter's future and its eventual doom via another Schwarzwelt. Neutral Hitonari almost lost his faith since humanity learned nothing and repeated their mistakes to end this way, but Makoto Naegi was able to restore his faith in humanity; New Neutral Hitonari was unable to help in this case as he inadvertently serves as an example of the fruitlessness of his struggle since his world's humanity is relying on another higher being for their safety and has been doing so for 150 years before his ascension to the Pantheon.
    • Due to his never-ending crusade against the Schwarzwelt, being a soldier heading off into another dimension, being completely and totally human and facing off against monsters that are more or less the stuff of nightmares, it was natural that Doomguy would be a steadfast ally of New Neutral Hitonari (and the older one, too). They even go hunting demons together on occasion, though Hitonari has to avoid summoning his own lest Doomguy commit Friendly Fire on it, and most of the summoned that wouldn't draw his attention are usually unable to stomach the carnage.
    • With their new situation in the Pantheon, as well as everything it has to offer, the Arthur that came with New Neutral Hitonari decided it would be best to share resources with the GUAG after deducing Cosmos' intentions. There was a little bit of hesitation on this since they heard of the Lockdown Kazuya Minegishi and his friends experienced, the Demon Summoning everybody got, and the chaos that ensued. However, given the technological state of the Pantheon and all of its residents, this worry was mostly unfounded.
    • On occasion, New Neutral Hitonari goes to the moon to relax, just as he's done for the past 150 years after becoming immortal. On occasion, he gets fellow visitors who sit with him, and he wouldn't mind their presence (even if it was someone like Nightmare Moon) as long as he isn't messed with.
  • Exclusive to the Chaos paths:
    • New Chaos and "Old" Chaos Hitonari are both trying to sway Jimenez to following their respective paths. Thanks to having been told about the hypocrisy of his decision and being reminded of what he did for Bugaboo, he's currently on the fence. Using strength to determine the righteousness of their choice isn't working either, as both Chaos Hitonaris keep ending their fights in draws.
  • Exclusive to the Law paths:
    • Due to the nature of her trope, New Law Hitonari is having difficulty getting through Zelenin, who no longer has any faith in humanity, which is not helped with "Old" Law Hitonari always getting in the way of any form of communication under YHVH's orders.
    • New Law Hitonari is admired by several deities who abhor violence and are idealistic enough to think that his world would be absolutely perfect.

Demigods

    The Strange Man Series Protagonists
David Hoover, Sophie Grundler, Keith Baring and William Morton, Divine Quartet of Achieving Multiple Endings (William: Will)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/strange_men_protag.png
Clockwise: David, Sophie, Will and Keith
  • Demideities
  • Symbol: A pack of cigarettes (Both David and Keith), A Pink Jewel (Sophie) and a "Hanged Man" Tarot Card (Will)
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (David, Sophie and Will) Lawful Good (Keith)
  • Portfolio: Action Survivor, Previous Player-Character Cameo
  • Domains: Strange Men, Endings, Happiness, Hardship, Supernatural
  • Heralds: Shirley Webber (David's Wife), Paul and Marion Martin (David's Best Friends), Richard Grundler (Sophie's Father), Helena Baring (Keith's Wife), Cindy Morton (Will's Mother), Pop (Will's Rat Best Friend)
  • Allies: Simon Henriksson, Isaac, The Doki Doki Literature Club, Misao, The Winchester Brothers
  • Enemies: The Bogeyman (Especially to Keith), Pyramid Head, The Scarecrow, Alfred Drevis
  • Conflicting Opinion: Madotsuki, Aya Drevis, Darkrai (Sophie), Natsuki (David)
  • The Strange Man Series consists of four stories about four troubled individuals, each trying to deal with their problems in their everyday lives until all changes when they run into a "Strange Man". David Hoover and his encounter with the mysterious Crooked Man, Sophie Grundler and her insomnia which connected her with the elusive Sandman, Keith Baring and his confrontation with the Boogieman and lastly, Will and his attempts to avoid becoming a Hanged Man. These four all had in common one thing, their stories can end in multiple ways some are sad ends, sometimes even fates worse than death and other times they finally overcome all their obstacles, the latter of which all four manage to achieve which granted the right to godhood.
    • Their ascension caught them by surprise. It started one spring when Will decided to visit his half-brother David Hoover and also spend some time with some friends he made along the way. Keith and Sophie were also there to greet him but once Will arrived all four were suddenly transported to an unfamiliar location. The Court of Gods formally introduced themselves to the puzzled group who thought they were being pranked but it turns out this was no joke, they indeed ended up in the Trope Pantheons.
  • The relationship of these four is a little hard to explain. It all started with David, at the time dealing with a severe depression after moving to a new house but the encounters with the Crooked Man, the spirit of a man who went through a similar ordeal, his life changed for the better...slightly. One day he met Sophie and his willingness to listen to her and his general Nice Guy demeanor made Sophie develop a crush on him but she was heartbroken later when she learned that he already had a girlfriend. Thankfully Sophie managed to overcome her insecurities and stay friends with David, who later invited her and her father Richard to a tour through an old castle where they both met Keith Baring, a police detective on vacation with his wife Helena to sort out their marital problems. That trip would prove to be a disaster after the group was the victim of a Serial Killer claiming to be the Boogieman, but later Keith managed to apprehend the culprit and save everyone, becoming good friends with everyone in the process. That brings up to Will, the young half-brother of David from another mother, Will suffered from visions and visits from strange friends shortly after the death of his father and the encounter with the "Hanged Man", culminating in him visiting David after running away from home but feeling unsure of himself, he sneaked from David's home and wound up in an abandoned shelter in the middle of the woods, where he would lose his friend Pop, try to find him and face his inner demons while at it. Will also came accross both Sophie and Keith, who would become precious friends to him and allow him to overcome his issue.
  • Considering this is a place where All Myths Are True they were curious if any of the supernatural creatures they've encountered were real here. The least surprised of the four was Sophie, who felt vindicated after proving to everyone (especially Keith) that fairies were real. However, there was no sign of any of the monsters that tormented any of our four protagonist, with the only exception being the Bogeyman who in truth wasn't really the same Boogieman Keith encountered in the "World Worst Tour" but the real deal himself. Sophie recognized his chilly voice and got scared and Keith finally met the real Boogieman that has symbolically tormented him all those years ago.
  • They were allowed to have most of their families and close ones as heralds meaning the group that went to Livingstone Castle was reunited with the addition of Will and his mom. Will got especially happy that the Court of Gods even allowed him a special someone to visit Will, none other than Pop the world travelling super rat. Will was overjoyed to see Pop again and the latter congratulated him for becoming a real good man.
  • Considering their struggles each one of them had to go through, they relate a lot to those that had to go through similar supernatural ordeals (or at least what they think they saw). First one on the list was James Sunderland, haunted by the death of his wife and being drawn to the city of Silent Hill after she wrote him a letter to come there. Both David and Keith have a lot in common in him but neither have a strong opinion of him after learning that he killed his wife and he couldn't accept the truth. David especially sees him as a dark reflection of him similar to how the Crooked Man was and Keith being a law enforcement official wants to bring James to justice, even if he could have ended up doing the same thing James did but luckily he didn't.
    • Another person the whole group felt sympathetic towards was Simon Henriksson. Then young man struggled with depression and it got worse after a car accident, leading him to experience hallucinations. David felt that he was in the same place before, Sophie and Will too were bullied and ocstrasized by others and Keith also had his life ruined by a car accident, even if he wasn't a direct victim of it. Simon is grateful to meet more people like him and the group was glad that the Court of Gods were kind enough to let Simon walk again. That said, Keith is a little apprehensive of Simon given that his profile fits folks that he has dealt with in the past and Simon did end up accidentally gunning down two cops. Simon also finds it ironic that he ended up befriending another Sophie but hopes that this time he doesn't end up falling in love with this one (And Sophie also related to having your heart broken by someone you love)
    • Isaac was introduced to the group by Simon, his horrifying upbringing, encounters with terrifying monsters and gigantic issues with his parents made the whole group give him a big hug (Even Keith). Will is the one that hangs out with Isaac the most given that he thinks the wisdom of Pop could help Isaac like it helped him and he also is not fond of Ultra Greed, one of the bigger monsters Isaac has faced, given that his whole appearance gives him a nasty reminder of the Hanged Man that has haunted him for years.
  • Sophie got interested in a literature club that a lot of people were talking about and even if she is at college now, she was curious to know more about it's nature. That where she met the DDLC group, welcomed by Monika and the other three girls and while she was tempted to join, she declined after being a bit unnerved it was located in the House of Fear. Then after learning more about them, she felt bad for turning them down and decided to pay them a visit with her friends in tow. Fortunately all got along, learning that under the surface all four characters had deeper issues and weren't what they seemed relieved Sophie and the other three a little but Monika was a contentious one for them, especially Keith who couldn't quite trust her cheery personality. They still remained on friendly terms and the literature club got curious to learn more about the "Strange Men" that haunted each of these characters.
  • Considering their universe being a series of RPG maker games, some folks compared their adventures to a handful other deities from similar franchises including Madotsuki, Misao and Aya Drevis. With Misao they all get along fine and while she did become a vengeful spirit they don't think she was in the wrong to be so angry after what happened to her. With Madotsuki and Aya however, the four felt a bit uneasy, Madotsuki given her very standoffish demeanor that even made Keith look like a regular person in comparison and Aya because of her ties to a very horrible family. Aya at least wanted to be friends with Will given his similarities to the Blond Youth that helped her and Will doesn't mind her but is terrified of her father and him being around the pantheon has made the group think twice on befriending Aya.
  • The Winchester Brothers approached the group and asked them about their supernatural experiences since they all believe were real. Sophie and Will were relieved that finally some people would believe their rather outlandishes tales, David was a bit hesitant to talk about what happened with the crooked man but he told them anyway and Keith was still a bit apprehensive opening up about the Boogieman and whatever visions he had during the whole Livingstone Castle incident. Considering the brothers too had gone through some rather tough situations themselves, they all ended up befriending the duo in order to help them with whatever they need.
  • Exclusive to David:
    • David struggled with depression after a lot of his issues became reality. He failed flying school, his girlfriend dumped him, his father abandoned him and his mother was too frail and sick to give him proper attention. But he ended up fixing everything after the Crooked Man was defeated, got back together with Shirley (and later married her) and moved on with his life, even if he lost his mother shortly after.
    • He made two unlikely allies mostly given that they all share a horrible history with depression. Both Yuu Otosaka and Shinji Ikari became friends with David after hearing what happened with him and even if they belong to more fantastical worlds that doesn't mean their problems don't exist. Given that he is far more mundane by comparison and seems to have gotten on a straight path, David tries to be their Straight Man whenever they want to talk.
    • Seems to visit the House of Travel a lot, mostly to reminisce of his dreams of becoming a pilot. The folks at Air-Based Travel have been pretty good sports and welcome David with open arms whenever he wants to visit.
    • While he never mentioned to her in person, he is a little nervous around Natsuki from the Literature Club. Mostly because he had heard of her crooked version and wanted nothing to do with that. He has dealt with enough crooked monsters for a lifetime.
  • Exclusive to Sophie:
    • She had a lot of bottled up problems that she never told to anyone because she feared it would harm the ones she cared about. But she eventually Grew a Spine and decided to confront her problems head on which ended up making her more happy and overcome her insomnia, even if it ended up making her a bit too abrasive. She also was the one that went through the most supernatural adventure, considering that what she saw was very surreal and not from her own world.
    • Naturally closer to dream deities, she wanted to find the Sandman again and thank him for a lot of things but the Sandman she ended up finding wasn't the same one she knew. He also went by a different name, Dream of the Endless, and he seemingly knew about this other version of the Sandman so he adressed Sophie respectfully and told her that the Sandman also wanting to meet her again. Sandy is another version of the Sandman that she met and surprised to see considering she thought there was only one Sandman.
    • Considering she suffered from Insomnia for a while and was prone to having nightmares, Sophie is understandably a little afraid of Freddy Krueger and Pitch Black given what they represent. She also feels this way towards Darkrai but at least this version of the Pokemon is benevolent and doesn't mean harm.
    • One of her many issue was that she was bullied at her school by an Alpha Bitch that used to be a friend. She later ended up fighting back and eventually both rekindled their friendship. Nonetheless, she still is not fond of bullies and she holds emnity for the representative of the Alpha Bitch title Libby Chessler for that.
  • Exclusive to Keith:
    • On the surface, Keith Baring looks like your typical harboiled detective with Nerves of Steel and nothing to lose. Deep inside he was a broken man, desperately wanting to protect others as a means to cope with the loss of his son and putting an act of a tough man that never cries. The threat of divorce from his wife Helena, the one person he loves the most, and his encounter with the Boogieman made Keith reconsider his life choices and finally stop pretending he is fine. He solved the mystery of the Boogieman, saved everyone involved and for the first time, cried the death of his son in order to heal. And he heal he did, being at ease with himself has made his life a lot less miserable but even then he is still quite The Stoic.
    • His wife Helena is almost an unnofficial fifth member and one of two heralds of the group that spends the most time in the pantheon. The two have a symbiotic relationship ever since their son Tod passed away and Helena herself can't bear more children, so they both have one another and if one would go away, the other would be utterly broken. That relationship made Keith and Kiritsugu Emiya quite the unlikely friends, considering that he too suffers from several of the same issues Keith has gone through and his wife Irisviel has a lot in common with Helena. The one thing that Keith doesn't like about Emiya is that he uses very underhanded methods for a greater good, which Keith being a law enforcement person doesn't approve but considering he has to deal with very nasty mages, he doesn't mind much at all if it's directed at awful people.
    • Being the oldest of the group makes him naturally assume the role of the Reasonable Authority Figure and his job as a detective has him spend a lot of time in the House of Justice. He respects both James Gordon and Cole Phelps for being dedicated to their job, although the latter's infidelity to his wife is a sour point for Keith and has made him lose a bit of that respect he initially had, since he couldn't even bear to think doing the same to Helena. At first, considering his skeptic nature, he couldn't believe that Batman characters existed or fictional characters for that matter but the pantheon time and time again has made him reconsider his judgement.
    • Speaking of Batman, he has met the guy and considers him way more moody than he expected. And considering his experience with the Boogieman, he hates the Joker as well. The clown found it hilarious that a paper wearing weirdo would act so much like him, or at least how Keith perceived him and so is considering doing the same to Keith if he ever gets the chance.
  • Exclusive to Will:
    • William Horton is an Heroic Bastard born from a father that abandoned his former family to be with his mother while the latter being unaware of all this. That family he left behind was David Hoover and his mother, a fact that would haunt Will for a while after finding a letter that he himself thought was directed to him, addressing him as a "Demon Child". An encounter with a deceased person that had recently hung himself would make him see different creatures and animals talk to him, something that would scare the young will and made him become more and more distant from reality, until he ran away from home to talk to David. However, he changed his mind after a small incident in a fishing store and ran away until he found himself in a shelter in the middle of the woods, where he would end up embroiled in the middle of investigation involving a loose criminal while losing his precious friend Pop in the process.
    • Of all the friends he had, Pop the world travelling super-rat was the closest. Pop would stay with him to cheer him up and give him advice to be a real good man, but running away from his house and escaping into the Deep Woods Shelter is what ultimately put an end to that friendship, since Pop ran away and Will was unable to find him in time (They did reunite but it was so before Ed started chasing Will to perform the "Happy Murders Trial"). Now in the pantheon and after having travelled the whole world again, Pop returned to visit Will and see how much of a real good man he has become. Pop in fact is the other herald that is basically an unnofficial member of the group alongside Helena, since he finds the Pantheon super interesting and it's also the first time both Sophie and Keith had been able to talk to Pop (It certainly caught Keith off guard considering the real Pop was stomped by Robert and died. He hid the truth from Will to not hurt his feelings)
    • As if it wasn't obvious, he is very fond of rats considering his friendship with Pop. First one he wanted to visit was Remy since he heard his friendship with a human allowed him to achieve his dream of becoming a cook and finds Will to be the perfect costumer. Both Will and Pop also befriended Jerry Mouse after one incident where he hid with Will while escaping from Tom. Not all the rats and mouses are friends with Will though, notably neither Will nor Pop are fond of Ratigan, a rat whose evil gives his species a bad rep.
    • He is scared of nooses, he is still is traumatized by the encounter with the Hanged Man and becoming one. This is why he was a bit apprehensive of befriending the DDLC girls after hearing of what happened with Sayori, the latter deciding to cheer the young man and stating that she too feels the same way as he does. He also is afraid of White Face after a chance encounter White Face almost made Will play their "game" involving a noose and Will ran away the moment the floating face approached him.

  • Zinnia is one of the last members of an ancient cave-dwelling clan known as the Draconids, who revere Lord Rayquaza as a guardian deity who is prophesied to save the world from disaster every millennium. As the Lorekeeper, it was Zinnia's duty to use her knowledge to find a way, even if it required putting the world at even greater risk, to summon and befriend the dragon god in order to once again protect the planet from an incoming meteoroid. Her first plan was to join either Team Magma or Team Aqua and help them to awaken one of Hoenn's ancient legendary Pokémon; while they succeeded, Rayquaza did not appear and the beast was stopped by an either Brendan or May. Soon after this, she gained infamy in Hoenn during a new plan that involved stealing people's Key Stones. However, she eventually gave up her role as Lorekeeper to the same Trainer who had saved Hoenn once before and set out on a journey to make a fresh start in life.
  • Her path took an unforeseen turn when she ascended to the Pantheon with her Pokémon and was given a new Salamencite to replace the one she gave to the Trainer who rode Rayquaza.
  • Was surprised to become a deity herself who could live alongside the dragon whom she worshiped, but she continues to pay her thanks to Rayquaza at its temple whenever she can.
    • Due to her own dragons being on the receiving end of a one-sided battle against the Sky-High Pokémon and witnessing its meteoroid destruction in action, she knows all too well that it is not a creature to be provoked, and is much more tentative than she normally is in its presence; even more so after she saw a version of events in the House of Prophecy where her arrogance and recklessness resulted in Rayquaza impaling her in the stomach and blasting her out of the sky.
    • Despite her religious background and cautiousness, she regularly takes enjoyment from sitting back and watching the spectacle that ensues whenever a hapless god decides to challenge Rayquaza in its Mega-Evolved state. She is also unable to help but laugh whenever she overhears anyone refer to the dragon as "Fug".
  • Has been heard speaking of an alternate Pokémon world where the war in Kalos never happened and Mega Evolution does not exist. Although there are some, including AZ, who are interested in this conjecture, the lack of definite evidence leads others to believe either that she was lying or smoking something nasty when she spouted out this idea. Due to the unstable nature of space and time within the Pantheon, however, most of the gods don't really care either way.
  • Is seldom seen without her Whismur named Aster after the person who was originally the Lorekeeper instead of Zinnia. Whatever exact relationship she had with the original Aster and the circumstances of her death are unclear to any other god in the Pantheon. Despite this, she tries her best to empathize with any others who have lost or almost did lose, anyone close to them.
    • The strong bond Zinnia shares with her Whismur has delighted N, although even he finds her tendency to refer to Aster as her "daughter" rather eccentric.
  • Learned that AZ was responsible for building and activating the ultimate weapon which resurrected his Floette but in the process killed many other Pokémon and made him immortal. While she could not condone what he did, she holds no ill will to the man he is now and acknowledges that one's goals, even if well-meaning, can result in one doing regrettable things, something which she herself is not immune to. She also admitted that she herself probably would have taken any opportunity to bring Aster back, seeing how happy AZ is now that he is reunited with his Floette, but was quickly reminded by the former King of Kalos that doing such a thing would result in more harm than good.
  • Still doesn't like Steven Stone and insists that she doesn't regret his absence from the Pantheon. She is still rather annoyed over the rumour that her grandmother called him a "silver-haired dreamboat".
  • Like most Pokémon deities, she abhors Hunter J due to her sociopathy. Aside from this reason, she takes more personal offense in J's use of a Salamence as a tool to achieve her amoral goals and has often fought the Hunter on the back of her own Salamence, who shares a deeper bond with his Trainer. This has put Zinnia in danger of having her Mega Anklet stolen or suffering a more dire fate.
  • Tracked down Wally and confessed that she was the one who once stole his Mega Pendant, before explaining why she did so and awkwardly apologizing. Wally, being who he is, was fine with it. The two are now rather amicable to one another, and have been reported saving one another from the likes of Hunter J.
  • Heard of a god that had some time prior to her own ascension arrived in the Pantheon by way of a meteoroid but was prevented from causing destruction thanks once again to Rayquaza. She eventually learned this god to be Deoxys and, needless to say, was displeased to discover the culprit responsible for threatening Hoenn with cataclysm for the past three thousand years. While some scientifically knowledgeable deities have theorized that Deoxys had wanted to visit both Hoenn and the Pantheon for non-malicious purposes, Zinnia remains skeptical about its intentions.
  • She is one of the few who takes Absol's warnings of future disasters seriously and uses them to make as much preparation in advance as possible.
  • The Voices recognised her from their adventure with a boy named Arty Haze. The look on Zinnia's face when she learned that they helped Rayquaza (also known to them as 'strssss2stt or Lord Stress) win a cuteness contest was one that the Voices demanded to be immortalized in the TPP lore.
  • Frequently found in the House of Knowledge, where she helps to document the lore of the Pantheon itself.
  • Despite her efforts to protect the world, the fact that she assisted in awakening either Groudon or Kyogre and quashed the Mossdeep scientists' attempt to prevent destruction by Deoxys' meteoroid by destroying the Link Cable intended to warp the meteoroid away (her argument being the protection of the aforementioned alternate world) has garnered some suspicion. Because of the latter case, she is kept under close surveillance during her visits to the House of Science.
  • Is an enemy to any omnicidal gods or at least those who are notoriously destructive, particularly those who aspire to their goals by means of large falling bodies.
  • She has frequently been told off by Hermione Granger on account of some of her more erratic tendencies, to which Zinnia consistently replies by telling her not to be a such a stick in the mud. However, the two have bonded over their penchant for learning and Hermione is glad to see that Zinnia's dragons are treated better than a certain Ukrainian Ironbelly was by its masters.
  • The Dovahkiin sometimes winds up taking Zinnia as a companion in quests assigned to him. Although both fight rather well together, Zinnia has expressed paranoia that he will one day kill her dragons and absorb their souls. The Dragonborn himself has admitted that this may well be why he keeps hiring her.
  • Having successfully trained and befriended a Salamence, a notoriously aggressive Pokémon if provoked (especially in its Mega Evolved state), Daenerys Targaryen has Zinnia on standby in the event that she loses control of her own three dragons. However, it is usually Dany herself who ultimately quells their rampages due to being their "mother". The queen is still thankful for Zinnia's assistance and also considers her to be someone she can empathize with in several respects, including their bonds with dragons, pressure to fulfill the duties they have taken upon themselves, and their losses of loved ones. Zinnia's quirky sense of humor is also rather effective in bolstering the morale of the Targaryen court.
    • Her presence in Dany's court has led to a friendship with Tyrion Lannister, primarily over their common interest in dragon lore. This has been to the irritation of many gods who consider the pair of them to be individually capable enough of severely pissing them off.
  • "Who am I? That's a surprisingly difficult question. ... I couldn't become who I was supposed to be, so who does that make me now? ... Haha! Whatever, right? Enough with the introspection and the soul searching... You there! Don't just stand there like a stick in the mud. Come on over and say hi."
