Weird dreams

Had a really bad dream last night that the back of my head had just been operated,it was one of those 'this has to be a dream,please let this be a dream' moments where I woke up and was like 'phew'

And then for some reason I went swimming

Last night's dream:

There was an honest-to-goodness animated musical based on Fire Emblem. I don't remember if there was even really any real plot (besides Marth trying to return to Akaneia after an old enemy for him banished from it if I recall correctly) as it mostly consisted of various FE characters (besides Marth, I think I remember seeing Robin, Lucina, Ike, Azura (I think), and Lyn(?)) just randomly singing to each other about pretty much everything, all with their usual English voice-actors. I wish I could remember everything they sang about. I remember Marth had a typical "I Want" Song ballad about taking his kingdom back and Ike coming back to report on a scouting mission in this sad-sounding soliloquy that sounded like "Total Eclipse of the Heart". (Can you imagine hearing Ike singing at all with his typical English voice-actor? Ike's singing in my dream was truly something to behold.)

As far as the plot goes, yeah, Marth's kingdom was taken over by this huge goblin guy who kicked him out, and Marth hired various other big-name FE characters to take it back. It ultimately ended up with it being revealed that the goblin (somehow) was Marth's brother, and the final showdown ended with said goblin dying in a scene played for tragedy (as the goblin realized the error of his ways and sacrificed himself to save Marth and Cadea from falling to their deaths in lava. And, as stated up there, there was lots of singing.

After the movie ended, the dream shifted to me playing Pokémon Go in Springfield, which somehow turned into me being Scizor being accused of breaking into someone's house (which was unfair as I had been teleported into it against my will).

In my dream last night, me and the Hobo Bros were playing some Mario game, probably Super Mario Maker, except in this dream, it was a 3D game. We found a way to replace Bowser with a giant Princess Peach, and we couldn't stop laughing about it. However, the fight against Peach took place on top of a high tower, and after we won the fight, the tower started to collapse. I am kinda scared of heights, so that part was not fun for me.

Was it a giant fire-breathing hammer-throwing Peach? Or just a giant Peach with her own powers?

I had 2, possibly 3:

One was where I was in my old secondary school for some reason. I and some others (I only remember a shy Chinese girl in particular) were waiting outside an English classroom, waiting for an opening between what seemed to be Steven Universe-style PSAs. I remember thinking about sets for Tapu Koko and comparing myself to Quagsire before we managed to get in. Except the classroom was somehow an entire lecture theatre.
The only things I remember about the shorts themselves was that Pearl had a Berserk Button about her nose because she was bullied about it in school and that the shorts apparently revealed that one of the Crystal Gem's deadly weaknesses was... vodka. Albeit the execution of that last one was very weird. It involved either Garnet or Pearl being caught in the blast radius of an exploding crossbow bolt that exploded into orange vodka. Apparently they can't even touch the stuff.
There was also a scene in Jolly Roger Bay where someone tried to spy on a weak-looking Murkrow using a broken Binoculay. It didn't work.

The other one was set in a horse riding stables I used to attend weekly. Entei was on trial for its crimes here, apparently, and they decided to use this horse-riding place for the court for some reason. Zanreo was in this one, in the audience with me. Apparently she was also a Badass Princess, though you wouldn't have been able to infer the latter part because she was dressed in a dark blue shirt and jeans. We were talking about the outcome of the trial. She suggested that Entei was actually The Atoner who deliberately messes up to foil its more unrepentant kin's plans and was actually a cunning lawyer in its own right, having designed schemes overnight to achieve victory. I didn't know this because I apparently "saw the end before the beginning". However, there were also stickers that looked like red circles with white fillings, of varying sizes, on Entei's right front paw. There were 9 of them, arranged in an incomplete Loss meme shape. Apparently these stickers were reminders of the number of times it had been found guilty and some terrible fate would befall Entei if it were to obtain 10 of these stickers.
Entei was found guilty (I can't remember what of, I think it might have been attacking someone in a fit of rage). When the 10th "Loss sticker" was put upon its right paw, it revealed itself to have actually been Dr (I can't remember, though it had "claw" or "hook" in it, I think), a Fat Bastard Pirate King who heavily resembled Captain Skull.
A boss fight ensued and I too had a grappling hook to hunt down their own grappling hooking strategy to fly around the room. I used mine to pursue and corner them, then beat them up.

Unfortunately it cut out in the middle of the fight.

I had two dreams in my literal Long Bus Trip last night. Let's see if I can still remember them.

The first dream had me watching a Steven Universe episode, and they were all celebrating a birthday party at Canterlot Castle. The entire Beach City was there, and so were a lot of ponies, and for some reason, the monsters of Mt. Ebott were there as well. Apparently it was Big Mac's birthday, and he was singing his own cover of "Find the Music in You". He even had Celestia's horn and wings!

Then Spike called the attention of everyone. It was time for the party games to begin. Everyone scrambled to form their groups, but then Discord was shuffling the team members around. Cue the camera pulling back to reveal that this was actually a computer game, where you could choose how the teams were arranged: by source material, by gender ratio, by individual skills, etc. I clicked the randomizer several times, and I giggled that I got Undyne and Alphys in the same team. And Asriel was in that team as well.

The second dream had me in a restaurant. It was again Steven Universe-themed because the walls were decorated with Gems. They were interactive as well. I pressed on Peridot and there was this game where I had to look for as many Peridot gems as possible. I was having so much fun until my family told me to attend my cousin once removed's (my cousin's daughter's) play at the church we usually go to.

For some reason I had a role in the play. I was an assistant to a magician, and he did a rubber band trick on me, placing a complex rubber band bracelet on my wrist like a handcuff before we went to the altar. The play was set in The Wild West, and I was an outlaw being brought on trial.

As I was walking to the stage/altar, I saw some elementary students from my high school. One of them had the official Sans plushie with him. I giggled as I waved at him before the play began.

I don't remember how it went, but the play ended with us anointing ourselves with oil. As the lights began to turn off, I saw a glimpse of a stall selling Undertale merchandise in one corner. I rushed there and grabbed some merch, both official and fan-made. I even got a beach towel with the cast on it!

There was also a CRT TV that was playing Finding Dory. Dory and Hank were making their escape, but suddenly Hank didn't feel so good. As he disintegrated, red dust filled the tank that he and Dory were in. But Dory forgot about that and just sang "I love some red" to the tune of "Down by the Bay."

Never had two vivid dreams in one night for a long time.

I was at some meetup for some of the people who roleplayed in the "We are our avatars" thread. We decided we'd all come up with new characters and do this LARP thing. So I came up with this young lady named Theresa, but someone started referring to her as "Terezi" due to mishearing me and it stuck as a nickname. I figured "she giggles a lot and likes red so whatever". Anyway, for some reason this character of mine had a combination of traits of various characters from Bob's Burgers. Other than that her thing was "start off kind of annoying but in an endearing way and end up making friends with everyone" or something along those lines. The whole LARP ended up having all sorts of random Bob's Burgers references, including my character dressing as Tina for a costume party and helping someone else dress as another character from the show.

I had a dream about a fighting game that apparently had some connection to Wario. One of the other characters was a giant knight whose special attack was to jump into the air, dive onto his opponent and repeatedly stab them. When he got to the stabbing part, he says "Now It's My Turn!" in an amused voice. Also you could engage a Hopeless Miniboss Fight in the middle of battle to pick up "Style Points".

Then I was in a local bowling alley, typing this dream up on my phone. However, there were a lot more details I remembered, such as a Breloom. I was typing it up for so long I almost missed my turn.

The only dream I can truly recall from my five-hour sleep last night is that Raspy Mink became a mod, and she was writing all of her posts in blue! I congratulated her just before I woke up.

Apparently I was attending a funeral set in a private part of a shopping mall, of all places. Doubly weird was that most of the other funeral attendants/staff/whatever couldn't be present (and were mentioned to be women), so they got Vladimir Putin of all people as a substitute. Prior to getting there, going down stairs, I found a random piece of paper with a big circle and a little circle drawn on it, like a sort of angled snowman. Apparently, despite having no detail on them whatsoever, they were supposed to be planet-sized balloons of Stocking and Panty respectively. Also the "Stocking" in the image was supposed to be screaming "Get off me!". Good luck guessing how her neck's still intact from having a moon sit on her head. Apparently no-one else noticed the image. The actual "room" was a huge, gray space that seemed to be under the main shopping centre.

My dreams tend to involve vaguely satirical warped versions of pop culture and usually come in an almost Two Shorts format.

Last night I dreamed that I could play Pokémon Sun and Moon on the Nintendo Switch, except then I was actually in the game and climbed up a forested hill to behold a pool that sparkled so beautifully I actually cried.

One time I dreamed about a video game set in a world loosely based on South American geography and cultures. Much of it involved hang-gliding between plateaus where people lived over jungles that were so dense and dangerous they were impossible to traverse on foot. Oh, and the various peoples had impossible skin colors and bonsai-size trees growing from their heads in place of hair; your player character was the Token Human, and a major NPC character had gold skin and a palm tree growing from his head.

Last night I dreamed I had a pet toad that turned into a tanuki. Then I went on a tour to heaven/purgatory/some kind of afterlife (I wasn't dead) and it was pretty neat overall with Russian architecture (onion domes etc) and canals. And you could live there for free without paying rent. I think there was a dead pigeon in a puddle though.

Last night I had a nightmare and then a just plain weird dream.

• First, the nightmare. In the dream-world version of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, there was an image of the Elric brothers' dead mom (who was called Carla Yeager for some reason) that was so disturbing that it was almost a Brown Note, and used as a shock image. I was terrified that my friend would send me this horrific image (which wasn't actually that scary from what I remember of it) because the horrible thing that the Elric brothers created when trying to bring their mother back would come after me.

• The just plain weird dream had an "original" character worthy of Nightmare Beings. Cartoon characters were coming to life from iPads and statues, including poorly animated versions of Benjamin Clawhauser and Chief Bogo, in a college campus. I sought shelter from them in the stairwell of a sports-related building, but there I found the real star of the show: Bryan the Pickle. This human-sized pickle with arms, legs, a face like a cross between Handsome Squidward and Muscle Man, and fabulous long brown hair was supposedly a British Rockstar-themed member of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's Rogues Gallery, and he had the personality of Mettaton EX. He supposedly attracted a huge amount of Rule 34, especially from an LGBT Fanbase, to the point that few even knew he was originally from SpongeBob. For unrelated reasons, I ran for my life from Bryan the Pickle.

That was a fun dream.

I was alone on a planet with orders to shoot down a starship. Its first two orbits were free because I was figuring out where to aim. The third orbit?

"Bingo!"

Right through the reactor.

Last night I dreamed that I had to explain to someone what Dole Whip is.

Here's a more amusing one: One day near the beginning of Halloween, I had a dream about shopping for Halloween costumes with my boyfriend. We first shopped at a thrift store, in which he picked up a VERY used, pilled up onesie of Cat In the Hat.

After the thrift store, we made our way to Party City. On the way, I said "wait we have to go back, i left my shoes at the thrift store." Of course, barefoot and in shorts and a t-shirt and the ground was covered in snow. Of course.

After we grabbed my shoes, we made it to Party City and I began to complain about the prices there. Everything costed $100+

I had two of them last night.

The first one involved me moving into some kind weird house. And it wasn't the cool kind of weird like the House on the Rock. :S

In the second one, I had to get my car back from an impound lot... but it was in the dead of night, and there were some unfriendly-looking people roving around.

This one isn't recent, but I thought it was funny enough to merit a mention:

I was either watching a cartoon You Tuber like Saberspark or The Mysterious Mr. Enter, or reading this page when I found out that High Speed!, the Light Novel that would become Free!, had been written in The '80s and had already been adapted to animation... by DiC Entertainment. It was even worse than that company's already low standards, like Dingo Pictures bad. The characters now looked like MS Paint drawings of Ken dolls, episodes were either ClicheStorms or just the characters doing nothing (and rarely had anything to do with swimming), the dialogue was Totally Radical and littered with mispronounced and misused Japanese, and the voice acting was done by one or two old men. Somehow, this mess had 84 episodes that ran from 1988 to 1995. I made my friends watch the entire thing with me because it was the funniest thing I had ever seen. The end of the last episode was a trailer for a Spin-Off series starring Rin that had about as much to do with this show than that show had to do with Free! and looked even worse. It said "Check out the pilot on The Internet!!! [some url here]" but the link was long dead. This was supposedly the only record that the spinoff cartoon even existed.

I had a dream where I almost suffered a Multiple Gunshot Death. It hurt. A lot. And I was still alive in the dream somehow.

I just woke up from a really strange one.

When I was 18 one of my friends tried to set me up with her father (set your squick aside, she had understandable reasons for wanting me to date her dad) and I said no.

In the dream I said yes and was out and about with her when two people tried to start flirting with us (I'm 39, she's 42). That flirting attempt got shot down very quickly.

I had a dream last night where Beverly and I didn't get along. Thank goodness it wasn't real.

So in the dream, there was this (made-up) furry webcomic that we both liked. The creator of this comic had somehow gotten permission to use Markiplier, or a fictionalized version of him, as the main character. The story was that Markiplier somehow got transported from the real world to this magical furry world, and he was just going around exploring, and having a great time.

But then, the creator suddenly decided that she didn't want Markiplier to be in the story anymore, and she had him unceremoniously disappear from the story so she could introduce a new protagonist, who was an Original Character.

The OC was a wolf or fox or something. He was actually a demon, and he did some pretty horrible things, but we were still expected to root for him because the story focused on him. :P The creator tried to make him Adorkable, but she tried way too hard, and she was also trying to make him edgy and tragic at the same time... it just wasn't for me. I just wanted Mark back.

But Beverly thought the new character really was adorkable, and she loved him instantly. And then we started arguing about it... I just hope that never actually happens.

I dreamt that Power Stroke won another Hunger Games season^note she won S200 in the real deal... by bashing Toriel's head in with a mace. Consider it as a Pyrrhic Victory for me because I killed my favorite Undertale character in order to do so.

The only thing I can recall from the dream I had last night was discovering a giant python in a barn and running back to my house as fast as I could so it didn't catch me.

It was more boring than it sounds.

Dreamt that me, Troper No. 9001, Star Android Jaguar, Dave The Assassin and possibly some other HGS players were going somewhere to look for a bunch of different items. First we went on a train ride (which I remember almost nothing about) and then we arrived at some old house... We started exploring the place, and I remember we could use Splatoon weapons with ink in several places to help us... somehow. At one point we found a plushie and suddenly got a mission to find all 3 (I'd see the text pop up on screen like in a video game) Not too long after that, I woke up, and sadly I can't remember much else, I forgot a bunch of details before I got to write it down

Was I a pony there? Glad we had fun, though.

I’m in my old (then-current) middle school, and... I just walk into a hallway I’ve never seen before. There’s nothing bizarre about it, it was that my schedule never led me there. It was so vivid that I actually tried to find it. Made me feel super emotional, too, for some reason.

I keep having dreams about guys I used to like in the past and I don't know why.

Some time ago I had a dream about a guy I had a crush on about a year ago, name dropped and all. More disturbingly, last night I had a dream about a guy I liked in high school that was quite bad for me.
