  • Malicious Slander:
    • Silas and Miss Veronica were anonymously slandered by Camila and Morogoni in retaliation for getting $20,000 of compensation money out of them. The latter couple even went as far as to post revenge porn of the former couple.
    • Shiranui accused Atsumu of having an affair with the CEO's wife in revenge for being chewed out by her boss because Atsumu exposed her laziness via a screenshot of a conversation he had with her.
  • Made Out to Be a Jerkass:
    • "My Boyfriend dumped me for my sister…": Rena broke up Sorao's relationship with Nano by falsely accusing Nano of treating her like a slave, hitting her and even stealing her boyfriend. Moreover, Rena's looks made it easier for Sorao to believe and marry her instead of Nano. Turns out this is what her parents wanted because Rena was considered the prettier one.
    • "My mother-in-law broke my computer because she thought I was being lazy…": When Iyo picked up her granddaughter Sakura from school and the other moms introduced themselves to her, she accused her daughter-in-law Nano of being a lazy moocher who shouted at her whenever she tried to "snap her out of it" despite the fact she actually worked by writing articles on the Internet and made herself out to be the victim in all this. When Nano found out while picking up Sakura from school, she decided to confront Iyo.
    • "My wife contracted a disease from cheating partner...": After Norika's lover, Taiyo, shoved her in response to her pleading to not leave her after her son Dan caught them in the middle of their affair. When her husband, Gen, asks her if she's okay, she tries to blame Dan by saying he was the one who shoved her, but Gen didn't buy it and asked for a divorce.
  • Manchild: Masashi is a nauseating example of one, as not only does he cheat on Charako when she’s busy taking care of her mother simply because she wasn’t spending enough time with him, he also uses the affair to have the role plays Charako always denied him, even using a swimsuit that looks eerily similar to the ones from his daughters’ school in one of them. When Charako and her daughters confront him, he’s left loudly whining and complaining on how Charako didn’t do what he wanted and on how angry the three were at him, ultimately culminating in him having a full blown temper tantrum on the floor when Charako declares that Satomi (who has been discovered to be a Yandere) can have him.
  • Miss Kitty: Akemi from "My daughter wouldn't invite me to her wedding…" is the kindhearted owner of the bar Charako works at, giving her a job as a waitress after the company she formerly worked at went bust.
  • Mistaken for Cheating:
    • Ayumi kicked her husband Toshiaki out of the house for apparently having an affair with a woman that she found sleeping naked on their bed. It later turned out that Toshiaki's twin brother was cheating on his wife with the woman while assuming Toshiaki's identity.
    • Sumie Kanuma was accused of cheating by her husband Morihiro when she announced her pregnancy. He argued that they didn't have sex for six months, and it couldn't be possible she could be pregnant. However, she revealed they did have sex two months ago; he was too drunk to remember. Things escalated when Morihiro came home drunk and slapped Sumie hard enough to leave her face red, driving her away to seek refuge at her friend Yoshiko's house. However, when she hired a detective to find out what was happening, it turned out Morihiro cheated on her with Yoshiko.
  • Mistaken for Suicidal: Leo saw a girl holding a pair of scissors in a fashion that made it look like she was going to take her own life, but when he ran to her help, it turns out she wanted to fix her haircut because a group of bullies chopped her hair off.
  • Momma's Boy:
  • Motherly Side Plait: Asumi Midorikawa sports a side braid even before becoming a housewife upon marrying her now-husband Seichi and is 4 months pregnant.
  • Ms. Red Ink:
    • "Sister stole my fiancé from me…": Rena spends any money she's given and that, along with her affair, was the reason her own husband divorced her. When her parents gave her money to pay off her debts, she squandered it on partying and drinking, neglecting to pay them. Moreover, she charmed Nano's fiancé, Ryuta Tekito, into letting her into Nano's house to steal her jewelry and bank card.
    • "My brother looked down on me and cut ties with our family…": Koji developed a habit of overspending after he entered college and came back home to ask his parents for money.
  • Mugging the Monster: Harumi kept bullying Takuya on her wedding day and bragging about her wealthy husband. However, his cousin Kenta revealed via loudspeaker that he is the grandson of Choten Mobile's CEO, and thus wealthier than the groom. Harumi tries to get back with him, only for his girlfriend Yurika to show up.

  • Never Mess with Granny: In this story, Shinobu fended off Minako's boyfriend when he demanded Nezuko for her father's money and knocked him unconscious despite her old age. Turns out she was a wrestler and was hired by Nezuko's father to act as a maid, babysitter, and bodyguard.
  • Not Actually His Child:
    • "My wife got pregnant but…" — When Yuki took his abusive wife, Rina, to a hospital after she felt a pain in her belly, the doctor revealed she was pregnant. However, Yuki reveals he is infertile, which quickly informs him that she is having an affair. He then takes her back home and gathers both his parents and in-laws to hold her accountable.
    • "My boyfriend got my subordinate pregnant...": Five years after marrying Manami instead of Satsuki because the former became pregnant with his child and paying the latter compensation out of his own money, Takuya meets Satsuki again at the hospital. He then revealed that after Manami gave birth to a girl, she became neglectful and the girl took less after him as she grew up. After the DNA test confirmed that Takuya wasn't the girl's father, the cheated duo held her accountable for it, with Satsuki revealing in narration that the real father is a male bar host.

  • Obfuscating Stupidity: Ms. Satomi from "Boss thinks she is incompetent but she is the most capable person in the office" was supposedly the most incompetent of the company where the protagonist Yumiko Sato worked, but after she quit, it turns out she was the one who solved the errors and bugs in the company's app with amazing skill.
  • Obnoxious Entitled Housewife:
    • "Serving justice to a selfish and entitled neighbor!": Kazuko Kinouchi was a stuck-up young housewife who asked her next-door neighbor Sana Chiyoda for the keys to her car in the very first day they met, because Sana's car has a toddler seat, unlike her husband Shu's two-seater car. When she refused, she threatened to sic Shu on Sana's husband Rikiya to have him fired. When Sana caved in, Kazuko returned the car with the tank empty and full of trash.
    • "My car got stolen so I checked on the security camera who did it, and...": Monohoshi was a mom friend of Nano's who stole her car while she and her husband Masayoshi were away. When Nano called her out for her theft, she initially justified it as "borrowing it". Moreover, she even demands Nano pay $5000 to get it back. After she threw a fit over Nano calling the cops on her and threatening to sue her for defamation if she insisted, Monohoshi's husband reveals his wife's attitude is because she was cheating on him and refused to divorce him, even demanding him to pay her money.
    • "My new mom friend accused my daughter of stealing something from her son...": Monotori, a mom friend of Yuka's, seemed to be an easygoing, friendly fellow housewife and soon became friends. But at the upcoming screening of Yokai Bocchi, she shows her true colors when she steals the advance screening tickets out of spite. When she finds out and asks Monotori about the stolen tickets, she lies and hangs up on Yuka when it fails. Moreover, she sneaks Shota's toy into Michiru's backpack to frame her of theft. However, her latest theft attempt is foiled at the last second by Yuka, who snuck a transmitter into the stolen bag and put hidden cameras all over the room. When asked about it, Monotori reveals she was jealous of Yuka because the former's husband wasn't as rich as the latter's and she has to look after Shota all day. After getting arrested by Yuka's cop brother, it turned out Monotori also stole from other mothers' houses before, resulting in her husband divorcing her.
  • Occidental Otaku: Chef Paoli comes from Italy and was obsessed with Fist of the North Star since childhood and wanted to share the dishes of his childhood with the Japanese customers.
  • Ocular Gushers: Being a Vyond animation, child characters often cry high-pressure, oversized teardrops.
  • Offended by an Inferior's Success: Eriko combines this trope with Big Sister Bully, Spoiled Brat, and Screw the Rules, I'm Beautiful!; she was always the golden child of their family due to her good looks and would bully her younger, uglier, sister Kyoko to do her homework and do the work of preparing Eriko's wedding. When Eriko learns that Kyoko's husband is more handsome and wealthier than hers, Eriko gets offended at the idea of her ugly sister having a superior husband and tries to "rectify" the problem by stealing Kyoko's husband from her, (which thankfully fails).
  • Office Lady: Office stories featuring a female antagonist may have her fit in the role of an "office flower," kissing up to her male superiors while bullying other female employees the moment said men's backs are turned and even forcing her workload on other employees.
  • Office Romance: Skyler cheated on his wife Sally with a female coworker named Kerry. What's more, Kerry even bothered to send her a whole album of photos of her affair.
  • Official Couple: Nano is always paired with Suguo at the end of her episodes.¨
  • Otaku: Tomokazu Haruta loves reading manga, but his younger sister Tomomi hated him for it, calling him a "creepy nerd". However, he eventually becomes a renowned manga artist going by the name of "Akita Tomokazu"

  • Older Than They Look:
    • "My friend stole my husband, thinking he was a CEO but...": Nao is a 38-year-old part-time housewife who often gets mistaken for a student due to her baby face. This caused her a lot of struggles, such as being looked down on at work, junior employees mistaking her for one of their fellows, and getting asked for her ID card whenever she bought alcohol.
    • "Bully pushes a girl on wheelchair into the pool": Kyoko Miyanohara is a 38-year-old part-time housewife who looked younger despite her age, which surprises people who met her for the first time.
    • "My horrible stepson...": Hanayo's husband Shogo is a 45-year-old man who looked like a young man in his middle-to-late twenties.
  • The Oldest Profession: In the end of "Exposing a slacking worker during lockdown. What the camera showed was shocking!", Yahata and her lover are fired from the company after their affair was exposed during an online meeting and ended up reduced to sex work after her lover's wife sued her for alimony.
  • Only Cares About Inheritance: Yui is Hajime's estranged sister, who cut ties with him and their mother but shows up during her mother's funeral in hopes of getting an inheritance. Despite disowning her mother years ago, Yui has the audacity to crash the funeral and tries to steal the donated money, claiming that she's owed money by virtue of being the daughter of the deceased. Unfortunately for Yui, Loan Sharks who she owed money to show up, having leaked the knowledge of the funeral to Yui to catch her. When they refuse to accept the stolen money, Yui insists that she'll pay them via inheritance since the deceased is her mother. Unfortunately for Yui, the loan sharks know that Yui cut ties with her mother, meaning that she wouldn't get any inheritance.
  • Operation: Jealousy: In this story, a drunk Sari tried to justify her affair with her ex-boyfriend Yuto to her husband Kei that she did it because she was lonely and wanted to make him jealous and love her again. However, Kei doesn't buy it and calls her out on her affair.
  • Origins Episode:
  • Otaku: Rico Honda from "My sister always steals my boyfriends…" is a nerdy girl who likes anime and manga, which became her only refuge since her older sister, Ako, always stole any potential boyfriend she may have and rub it in her face.

  • Pædo Hunt: Near the end of Mommy’s boy and mother-in-law from hell, after Nancy divorced her husband Steve for sleeping with another woman with his mother's blessing, a rumor ran about Steve's lover being underage. As a consequence, he is barred from working at most establishments.
  • Parental Abandonment:
    • Yuki was abandoned by his parents in the woods because he lost a eye while trying to save his brother from an accident. Luckily Mr. Takafumi found him and took him home and adopted him.
    • Noa and her stepbrother Ren were abandoned by her mother after their father died. Ren was forced to quit university and get a job to raise her. When Noa's mother reappeared at her wedding, she kicked her out and told her that she doesn't have a mother.
    • Saori was abandoned by her adoptive parents on the mountains after they gave birth to their biological son Takuya. Luckily, Rio found her and raised her as her real daughter.
    • Saya abandoned her son Yuichi after he was diagnosed with Tourette's Syndrome. Her sister Sanae decided to adopt him. She tried to come back into his life 10 years later, but he rejected her.
  • Parental Neglect: Leila neglected her son Toru in various ways such as not feeding him, taking him to school etc. When she left him with her sister Miyu, she abandoned him and refused to pick him up. Miyu decided to raise Toru as her own son.
  • Parking Pay Back: In one episode, a man kept parking on Nana's mother's land despite it being her private property. Nana's husband, Kiyoshi put cones (and put extra cones to make it impossible to drive over) but the driver just got out of the car and took the cones. Then they tried to charge for the parking but the driver got rid of the signs. When they confronted him, he denied that the signs were put there. He threatened Nana and Kiyoshi but it turned out that the conversation was recorded so the police came to arrest the driver.
  • Picky Eater: Kamijyo was a rich boy who dissed the school cafeteria food and throws out his food in the trash.
  • Pimping the Offspring:
    • "Stepsister who was mean to me learns a lesson about life": After being treated like a slave by her mother and stepfather for the sake of her spoiled yet good-looking stepsister Shiomi, Yoko calls it quits and runs away when the couple planned to have her sell her body to pay for Shiomi's tuition. She then tells it to Ms. Akiyoshi, who calls CPS on the couple for their crime and gets them arrested for sexual abuse of a minor.
    • "My family treated me like dirt for ten whole years…": In response to Marina defending her dad, Tomoya Sasaki, and gloating that her rich fiancé, Yuuhei Tanaka, was going to pay everything for her, Satoru reveals Tomoya Sasaki's true colors via a recording. Said recording reveals that Yuuhei is a sleazy delinquent who tricked Marina into marriage. He also conspired with Tomoya to have Marina work at a nightclub to earn them money once they're married to their marks.
  • Plastic Bitch:
    • 'My best friend's fiancée said, "You make me sick. Don't come to our wedding!"': Tsubasa reveals that her homophobic sister Risa's face resembled her father's back then, and she underwent plastic surgery as soon as she got into high school.
    • "My sister always steals my boyfriends…": When a drunk Ako demanded Shou Nishikata dump her younger sister Rico and marry her instead, he reveals to the family she got plastic surgery earlier on. However, she used transformation makeup techniques in her teens to appear prettier than she was until she became old enough to go under the knife. Furthermore, he lambasted Ako for using her beauty to steal her little sister's happiness, driving the sisters' parents to send the young couple away before scolding Ako.

  • Playing Sick: Tatsuki left early from work claiming he was sick so he could have an affair with his coworker Maira. When Mikoto decided to go home early to tend to him, she found out his lie.
  • Playing the Family Card: In every story involving toxic relatives, said relatives will always play the family card whenever they need the protagonist, who they mistreated, exploited, abused, or disowned, to assist them, which the protagonist will always refuse.
  • Playing the Victim Card: In "My wife cheated on me with her doctor…" when Kengo caught his wife Mana cheating on him with Dr. Nakajima and chewed both lovers out, Mana blames him and their three daughters for her sickness while whining about how he's obsessed with work and never supported her despite the fact he worked every day to provide for them.
  • Polar Opposite Twins: Mayuko and Mayuka are twins with opposite personalities. Mayuko is an active, sporty girl while Mayuka is a smart, quiet girl. They're still opposites even after their mother Akane divorced their father Yoshiichi and took Mayuka with her: Mayuko became more diligent on helping her dad with the chores and raising her grades, while Mayuka became a delinquent after her mom neglected her for so long.
  • Pop-Up Texting: Many times a story will show characters interacting with one another via text. The original Japanese uses text pop-ups while the English dub uses a phone overlay.
  • P.O.V. Sequel: The story "The new CEO was embezzling money…" is a retelling of "The CEO's son started working with us…" from Masayoshi's point of view, which centers on Mr. Darashina's excesses and unusual approaches to business that involved taking investing partners to hostess bars.
  • Prank Punishment: In "My wife left our son alone to have an affair and then asked for a divorce," Akira and his son Nodoki plan to get back at Keiko for leaving the latter home alone to cheat on the former, by faking Nodoki's death and then disguise him as a ghost to scare her. It works to the point of making the cheating woman rescind her demands for compensation towards Akira. Moreover, she ran to her lover, Tomoyuki, to sign the divorce papers only for the lovebirds to fall down the stairs, resulting in Keiko becoming paraplegic and Tomoyuki dying from hitting his head.

  • Pretty Freeloaders:
    • "My sister and her boyfriend kicked me out of my apartment": When Mika moved in with her sister Fumika, she began to leech off her and refused to get a job and kept accusing Fumika of not having a job despite the fact that she pays for everything. Mika sold Fumika's stuff and kicked her out of the house when her new boyfriend moved in. This came back to bite her in the butt when she received a lease notice that requires her to pay a lot of money.
    • "A delinquent mom friend was found cheating with my husband on a parent visit day": Kanae always left her other mom friends to pay the bill with the excuse that she pays electronically and doesn't carry any cash with her. When they try to get her to pay electronically, she claimed she has no money.
    • "My brother-in-law's wife kept inviting herself to our house…": Yuko's sister-in-law Kayoko always tried all sorts of excuses to stay at the former's house and mooch off of her after going to a famous theme park with her three kids and canceled any hotel reservations on purpose and use the kids to guilt-trip Yuko into letting her stay at her house. However, both Yuko and her husband had enough of her and decided to go on a trip to Osaka to teach her a lesson and keep her from mooching off of them.
  • Primal Scene: In "My wife contracted a disease from cheating partner..." Dan caught his mother, Norika, having one of her affairs with Mr. Minagawa. As a result, being caught drove the man away despite her protests.
  • Professional Butt-Kisser: Ayane Azato from "On the day of an important presentation, she tries to bring me down" sucks up to her bosses by acting cutesy and thus is treated as "the office madonna." Predictably, her female coworkers, including Nano Nomaru, hate and steer clear of her for this.
  • Promoted to Parent:
  • Prone to Tears: Ryohei is a weak-spirited guy who always looked like he was always holding back tears, which his wife Ichiko found cute until she discovered he had an affair.
  • Psycho Ex-Girlfriend:
    • In this story, Asumi is stalked by a woman named Jozen, who urged her to divorce her husband Seichi by claiming her son Kota was his and she was pregnant with his child. When Asumi notified Seichi about it, he revealed it was his ex-girlfriend whom he dumped after graduating college. However, when she tells him said ex was a tall woman, he calls his ex, Megumi, and finds out Asumi's stalker wasn't her, but her younger sister Aya, who constantly asked him out after he dumped Megumi.
    • My ex-girlfriend tried to get back together after I became rich: When Kenta decided to ignore Ayahi's messages for a week, she becomes increasingly desperate and needy for his reply to the point she starts dissing him and expressing hopes that his company will go under. Much to her dismay, her boyfriend finds out her messages and dumps her, causing her to threaten suicide until Kenta finally replies and even reveals that his fiancee is famous YouTuber Ayumyon, whom Ayahi looks up to.
  • Punny Name: While some of the recurring characters have punny names, some one-offs have them.
  • Put on a Prison Bus: Most stories end with the antagonist(s) and the characters connected to them hauled away to prison for their crimes, if they committed some.
    • "She thinks she stole my fiancé but the person she slept with was...": Moemi's romp with Masato Jinguji ends up becoming his undoing as she sent a photo of it thinking he was Kanako's fiancé on top of the evidence already gathered on him. After he was arrested for stalking Kanako, he was also revealed to have stalked and beaten several women in the past.
    • "On the day of an important presentation, she tries to bring me down": Thanks to Masayoshi and the Professor's efforts, the police caught the biker hired by Ayane Azato to rob Nano on the street and he spilled the beans. Moreover, it's also revealed that Ayane not only harassed Nano and tried to hijack her presentation but blackmailed other employees to make them do her assigned work. As a result, she is fired from her job and ends up on trial, implying she'll face justice for her crimes.

  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
    • "My wife was having an affair while I was on a business trip": Ryuta's seven-year-old daughter Mami gives one to her own mother Momoko for her affair when she tried to flirt with Alexi to start over.
      Mami: You heard Daddy. And now you're bothering Brother Alexi... You, you're not my mom anymore! Daddy works so hard everyday for you and me. No matter how busy he was, he never showed his sour face in front of his family. You don't even understand that, and I hate you!
    • "Narcissist accidentally makes fun of my hot girlfriend": Makoto tried to get Ataru's girlfriend Ayumi to go out with him. When Ataru asserted that she's his girlfriend, he accidentally called her a warthog, an insult he had for her in high school. Ayumi gave a speech on how much he sucks as a person. Ataru also backed her up.
    • "A girl I hated in school invited me to her wedding and asked me to give a speech": Charako gives Akemi a blistering rant when she had the gall to keep victimizing herself after her fiancé Junya Takagi broke up with her upon finding out what kind of person she really was. She also called Akemi out for still doing the same treacherous crap she did back in high school.
  • Raised by Grandparents:
    • Misaki was raised by her grandparents from her high school years onward after her parents dumped off to their house for being disabled.
    • Hana was adopted by her grandparents because they found out that her parents neglect her in favor of her older sister Yuu, and Yuu would bully Hana because their parents don't care about her.
    • Kurumi was raised by her grandmother, Nobuko, after the girl's mother, Moe, ran away with her boyfriend, the leader of the Niyama Gang. However, Kurumi starts to become just like her mother as she grows up despite Nobuko's attempts to set her straight. However, Kurumi leaves the house for three years and only returns to announce her wedding to a male escort named Akira.
  • Really Gets Around:
  • Reincarnation-Identifying Trait: In the end of the episode, Montarou and his wife had a daughter, where they both notices their daughter sporting a beauty mark under her right eye. Montarou realizes that his daughter is the reincarnation of the little girl who died because of her neglectful parents and vows to make her happy.
  • Revenge Is a Dish Best Served: In "Someone kept stealing my ice cream so I replaced it with dry ice and..." Ataru had his pay cut when Yasuko accused him of sexual harassment to cover up she stole his ice cream. In response, he replaced it with dry ice, causing her to almost asphyxiate from the white smoke.
  • Revenge Romance:
    • "My high school classmate told me she slept with my fiancé…": Misaki called Himari over the phone after the school reunion party to announce she stole Asuka from her. However, it turns out Asuka didn't cheat on Himari, but Misaki was stalking him. It's also implied she didn't even steal Himari's high school boyfriend either but she also stalked him.
    • "My classmate was bragging that she stole my husband…": Wakana called Yumiko to gloat about stealing the latter's husband Tadashi in revenge for her cold treatment at the company and even sent her pictures of the affair to rub it in. However, it's rendered moot because Tadashi quit his job after being disowned by his dad to become an actor, and the pictures she sent were used by Yumiko as evidence of Tadashi's cheating. To top it off, Tadashi got away with Wakana's savings after the act, leaving her penniless.
    • "I was invited to a wedding by the woman who stole my boyfriend…": Tomoka stole Sumire's boyfriend Tsutomu to rile her up, and bragged about how better she was than her. Much to her chagrin, Sumire didn't show any signs of being bothered and tried to double down on it. At Sumire's wedding, she walked towards the bride and groom's table to bring her down even further. At the afterparty, Tomoka reveals her true colors to her friends by stating she only married Tsutomu for his money and insulted Naoyuki to his face when he tried to kick her out.
    • "My husband went missing but I found him at my best friend’s wedding as the groom": Kozue invited her best friend Yoshiko to her wedding and revealed the groom was the latter's ex-husband Toru. It turns out the wedding was a revenge plot against Yoshiko for "stealing" her high school boyfriend despite her telling Kozue they never even dated, but she didn't listen. However, when her boss Mr. Akira went to defend her, she retaliated by exposing the newlyweds' massive debts in host clubs and gambling to their guests.
  • Rich Bitch: Matsuko is a rich mother who loved to buy designer goods and wear luxurious clothes, making all the other moms (except Misako) in her club fawn over her and seek her approval. When another mom named Junko showed up in the neighborhood, Matsuko and her entourage of fellow moms made fun of her for her frugal wardrobe and lifestyle.
  • Riches to Rags: Rinko's father's company went bankrupt and they were forced to move to a run-down apartment. Rinko's friends left her and Aki was the only one that helped her.
  • Ridiculously High Relationship Standards:
    • "This woman has extremely high expectations for men": Yuki is a 45-year old woman with an extremely Long List of standards who goes to a marriage counseling service to find an ideal husband. When Nano insists that she lower her standards, Yuki responds that she did. When introduced to various men who did meet her standards, she rejects them for minor reasons like liking manga or being the eldest son in the family, with the latter having coffee poured on his head. While at a matchmaking party, she gets a dose of reality when she sees a fifty-year-old woman who manages to find a man simply by having more reasonable standards. When she sees the guy whom she poured coffee on, she tries to go for him, insisting that he should be grateful that she lowered her standards for him; he rejects her because she poured coffee on him.
    • "A woman was looking for the 'perfect guy' at my agency…": Mrs. Sekkai is a 55-year-old divorcee who constantly demanded Nano find her a "perfect man" despite her age. When Nano suggests finding men in their forties in response to her demand for a man as young as possible, she takes offense and demands they be in their twenties Moreover, she demands her "perfect man" has a salary of $50K at minimum, not be single into his late thirties, not a divorcee, and with $75K in savings.
