It's an Arrangement is a Helluva Boss Alternate Universe, Shipping fanfic by NocturnaIV on A03.

Blitzo promised his little Loona that he'd adopt her some day. But when that day finally arrives, he's meet with a new, unfortunate snag; a new law banning the unmarried from adopting. When Verosika refuses and all seems lost, Blitzo learns of a new development. This old friend Stolas has recently divorced. And he needs some one to help him care for his little toddler, Octavia.

A marriage of convenience is formed between the two struggling, single dads, which starts developing into something more genuine.

These fanfics provide examples of:

  • Abusive Parents: As ever Cash Buckzo is a dick and a half. Here in addition to forcing his children to perform without a safety net, thinking it will improve their balance somehow, we get to see some of his cruelty towards Barbie. He's verbally abusive and dismissive of his daughter's feelings, not caring about her worries, mental state or injuries, when he demands she perform to the crowd. In addition his go to treatment for whenever his children are the slightest bit unwell, is to give them small shots of alcohol to supposedly cure them of their pains, not wanting to actually deal with them.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Stolas has lost much of his power, due to cutting ties with the other Ars Goetia. While he's able to access a weaker form of his demonic self, his full version is now restrained from him. In addition, he can no longer open portals outside of Hell and even some places within the 7 rings are closed off to him.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Blitzo now works directly with Vox as his occasional hitman, the two having had zero connections with each other in established canon.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: Whereas in canon Blitzo and Stolas only had one day together as kids, in here the two of them kept in touch for a while longer, thus making their friendship stronger and giving Blitzo, a reason to trust Stolas with the fake marriage idea.
    • Downplayed: Blitzo & Loona are still father/daugther in this timeline, but they have a much more amicable relationship, as he adopted her as a child rather than a young adult.
    • In the show Millie and Striker never meet until his introduction in The Harvest Moon Festival, but in here the pair used to work together as a duo of assassins, often killing royalty together.
  • Affably Evil: Vox is quite friendly guy in terms of how he treats Blitzo, seemingly willing to help him keep Loona, by giving her a position at an arts school. However he is still a very corrupt and greedy business man, and his motivation to help Loona is not to improve her station of help Blitzo with taking care of her, but to boost his own popularity by sponsoring the first hellhound actor in Hell.
  • Amusement Park: The family goes to Lu Lu World in Chapter 12, a large theme park run by Vox, and end up having a generally good time, enjoying the rides, having some snacks and souvenirs and watching a parade/mascot float together all throughout the day.
  • Bait-and-Switch: When little Octavia first meets Loona, she asks if she’s her puppy. Given the bigotry of Hell, Blitzo & Stolas assumed horrified that the owlette means her PET. But no. She means her sister, much to the relieved surprise of the adults and Loona herself.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Played with, as they're twins. At one point in his childhood, a young Blitzo witnessed his father attempting to force his sister Barbie into performing that night, despite her not being in the best state; having spent the previous night helping to take care of the children. Blitzo steps in and offers to take Barbie's place, disguising himself as her, despite his twin's protests, with Cash happily agrees to after some convincing.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Despite a slightly awkward first meeting, Loona bonds with Octavia quickly and becomes very caring, guideful and protective of her. During a visit to the park, Loona looks for her adopted sister’s safety, when they’re bullied by children and when she believes Blitzo is scaring a panicking Via.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: When Verosika unexpectedly reappears in Blitzo and Loona's life, she seems to be genuinely kind and caring, taking the little hellhound on a shopping trip and giving her good advice about being vulnerable around her father. It becomes pretty apparent however that she's more interested in getting back with Blitzo and trying to get him to fall back his slippery slope, a rode Blitzo's been trying his hardest not to go after adopting his daughter, than she is about being an actual parent to Loona.
  • Blatant Lies: While recounting her previous relationship with Chaz to Stolas & Blitzo, Millie claims that she's happy for him to be dating a mafia don's son and in no way minds it…while snarling, tearing at the table with her claws and her eyes clearly flashing with pain.
  • Broken Bird: Millie reveals that her break up with Chaz caused her to become this for the longest time. But thanks to Stolas' kindness she's been taking steps to recover from the break up.
  • Burn the Orphanage: Upon discovering the horrid conditions of the Hellhound Foundation and what it's put Loona through, Blitzo makes it his mission to get her out of there. As he couldn't adopt her at the time, he gets explosives from Cherri Bomb, evacuates the hellhounds, and blows up the shelter with the abusive caretakers inside, at which point the hellhounds are relocated to a different, kinder orphanage.
  • Cheerful Child: Little Octavia is as old as a toddler, and just as energetic, happy and friendly as you could expect from the tiny owlette. Even Blitzo is unable to resist her cuteness.
  • Child Hater: Verosika has no patience or desire for children and openly mocks Blitzo for his desire to adopt Loona. While she does raise a few good points later on, she views all hounds, Loona included, as little more than a labour force and is jealous of the pup, for taking Blitzo’s attention away from her.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: A big part of the story, will be seeing Stolas & Blitzo going from former childhood friends, pretending to be in a gay marriage, to genuine lovers and fathers to their daughters.
  • Cool Big Sister: Octavia immediately begins to see Loona as her cool big sister, practically worshiping upon sight, a role that the hellhound is more than happy to adopt for the young owlet.
  • Cooldown Hug: As Octavia starts to freakout and lose control of her eyebeams, Blitzo immediately acts by redirecting the blasts to the ground, enveloping her in a hug and gently calming her down with talk and comfort.
  • Cool Uncle: Angel Dust gleefully fills in this role for Loona and Octavia, having wanted to be an uncle as far back when he was alive. Upon meeting them for the first time, he happily invites them home, introduces them to Fat Nuggets, helps them pain their nails and makes a delicious homemade pasta dish for them. It doesn't take long for the girls to adore him.
  • Commonality Connection: One of the reasons why Blitzo & Angel Dust understand each other so well, is because they both feel deeply inadequate and often use sex in order to feel fulfilled and get emotional/sincere connection with others. They both view the act as the only time they are taken seriously and used to sleep with each other whenever they needed to fulfill that void in themselves, because they both understand how important it is to them.
  • Costume-Test Montage: Loona gets treated to one by Verosika offscreen in Chapter 14, trying on various outfits suggested by the succubus, which help raise her confidence.
  • A Day in the Limelight: Chapter 17 is set in Stolas' POV as he starts the day, bonds with his new daughters, reflects on his current relationship with Blitzo and learns he must come to Vox's film studio to fill out some paperwork and properly become Loona's parent.
  • Department of Child Disservices: On top of most Child Services in Hell being fine with allowing hellhounds to be kept in kennel-like housing like the Hellhound Foundation, they also refuse to allow unmarried adults to adopt a child, regardless of circumstance. The only kind person at the orphanage, who seems to care about the children’s health is Horusas, the imp headmistress of Loona’s orphanage.
  • Destructive Romance: Blitzo and Verosika’s relationship is incredibly toxic and dysfunctional. While there are signs of love and their caring for each other, the two argue and fight constantly, which has been further escalated in the story, with Verosika strongly disliking Blitzo’s devotion to adopting Loona. This will often end with near break ups, and the succubus chasing the imp out of her apartment, but the two of them continue to make up and forget about their fights, thus continuing their unhealthy cycle, until the next incident. Thankfully by Chapter 5, it seems to have reached a bittersweet conclusion, with Verosika allowing Blitzo to adopt Loona and live with Stolas, while she goes on tour in the living world. At least until she makes an unexpected return in Chapter 13, claiming to be there to see Blitz and help out Loona, which he finds hard to believe. As soon as the next chapter, she already has him back on the road of making bad decisions, after he tried to quit in order to be a good father for Loona.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Attempted. Millie attempts to assassinate Stolas with nothing but her ax. It doesn't go well, as he's able to subdue her and even calm her down for a reasonable conversation.
  • Do Not Adjust Your Set: Vox appears on Stolas' TV at the end of Chapter 17, to inform the former prince that his name is not on the legal document that lists Loona as his and Blitzo's adopted daughter, requesting that the prince arrive at his studio immediately, with a change of clothes, to get a tour and properly sign it, for the sake of officially.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: For all his scummy and manipulative behavior, Vox seems to genuinely care about Loona beyond just making her a start. He's impressed by her maturity and sees a lot of himself in the young hellhound.
  • Exact Eavesdropping: In Chapter 9, Blitzo ends up being just outside of a room, where Loona & Stolas are having a talk about her past and his family connections, so he manages to overhear her admitting to how much she trusts Blitzo and what he means to her.
  • Expelled from Every Other School: Loona has had great difficulty finding good schools that will take her. The one good school, the one run at her old orphanage, is unable to keep her as she is no longer in her care. The other schools refuse to accept her due to prejudices against hellhounds, and the ones that did had her expelled shortly after. So when Vox offers to allow Loona to attend his artist school and learn to become an actress, Blitzo is reluctant but accepts as by that point, it's the only available option for the both of them.
  • Eye Beams: Little Octavia is revealed to have some, as she first beams of heat at a group of children bullying her and Loona.
  • Family of Choice: Blitzo and Stolas are slowly but steadily becoming this, alongside their daughters, as their fake marriage continues, with Angel Dust acting the role of Uncle.
  • Freudian Excuse:
    • Vox is given a troubled backstory, being born during times of racial segregation and bigotry. Coming from a family of immigrants, he wanted to become an actor and rise above his station, so he underwent similar treatment and surgeries as Rita Hayworth, in order to fit in with the standards at the time, though at the cost of much of his own personal happiness and nationality.
    • Millie mentions a potential one for Striker revealing that his family lost their farm to the Ars Goetia, resulting in him wanting to kill them.
  • Friend-or-Idol Decision: Played with. Loona is a big fan of Verosika, but upon realizing that Stolas doesn't like her favorite popstar, or seeing her while Blitzo, the hellhound immediately declares she will no longer spend time with the succubus, not wanting to bring the former prince any more harm, telling Blitzo so much, though he reassures her there's no need.
  • Friend to All Children:
    • Despite his crude personality and reckless, dangerous behavior, Blitzo is surprisingly great with children. He already has a close, loving relationship with Loona and quickly bonds with Octavia upon meeting her.
    • Similarly, Angel Dust proves to be extremely good and friendly with children, despite his usual crude behavior and violent tendencies. He immediately latches onto Loona & Octavia upon meeting him, who both quickly accept him as their honorary uncle.
  • Friends with Benefits: Blitzo and Angel Dust have this dynamic going on, with the pair often having sex on the side, but genuinely caring for each other, with the imp even offering the sinner his old apartment, so that he doesn’t have to be around Valentino all the time.
  • Get Out!: Upon seeing her unexpected return in Chapter 13, Blitzo quickly tries to get Verosika out of Stolas' house before Loona arrives, not wanting his daughter to get the wrong impression of the celebrity. Verosika however insists on staying, remaining there long enough for Loona to see her.
  • Groupie Brigade: Angel Dust routinely experiences this, due to his celebrity status, with his first appearance in Chapter 11, seeing him getting into Blitzo's car while escaping from a pack of fans.
  • Gun Twirling: Blitzo does this in order to calm Stolas’ nerves about taking Octavia to a park.
  • Happily Adopted: Loona is fully adopted by Blitzo in Chapter 7. While she’s yet to call him dad proper, she’s clearly happy to be in the care of her new father figure and genuinely appreciates him.
  • Hates Being Touched: Due to her rough past, Loona is very, very uncomfortable with being touched. When Blitzo tries to give her a hug in Chapter 11, she immediately reacts hostilely, snarling at him and preparing to jump at him, as if he was about to attack her.
  • Hitman with a Heart: Millie as ever is as bloodthirsty and terrifying as she is sweet and friendly. While she was hired to kill Stolas, she reconsidered upon learning he had a daughter and step-daughter, apologizing for her actions, and after a nice talk over tea, agree to work for him instead, helping the prince and Blitzo to stop the real assassin hired to kill Stolas.
  • Honorary Uncle: Angel Dust is this to Loona. While the two haven’t met yet, Loona knows about the spider demon, whom she thinks is really cool and wants to meet, much to Angel’s astonishment; causing the sinner to quickly grow fond and protective of her.
  • House Husband: With most of his Princely duties gone, having stepped down from the status of an Ars Goetia, Stolas spends most of his days at home, tending to the house and looking after baby Via, while Blitzo goes to work.
  • I Own This Town:
    • The Ars Goetia's reach and power extends far over most of Wrath, and pretty much all of the factories and transportation. As such they get to dictate the price of food, rent, travel and pretty much everything there, causing the imps to suffer and often lose their homes when they cannot pay their royals overly high prices. Even the ones that don't initial work for them in some capacity, eventually end up in debt and are thus forced into their services. The reason why the Harvest Moon Festival exists is because the Ars Goetia force the imps use special seeds that only work with moonlight, so they have to rely on a son of Paimon to help grow their crops they need to live.
    • The same is true in Greed, where Mammon makes all of his citizens pay ever increasingly high rent and taxes every year, that only exist in his Ring.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: While Verosika hates the idea of Blitzo living with Stolas, and doesn’t enjoy the idea of becoming a mother young, she’s willing to allow her boyfriend to adopt and go through with his fake marriage plan because she knows it would make him happy, and she doesn’t want to further sour their relationship, by forcing him into a life he would be unhappy with.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: In Chapter 19 Millie becomes a crying, babbling mess before she reveals why she chooses to stay around, Blitzo pulling her in for a comforting hug to cool her down.
  • It's All My Fault: In Chapter 15, Loona starts blaming herself and Blitzo for making Stolas upset, after the pair hang out with Verosika, whom Stolas is not only found of but is jealous of, in regards to her relationship with the imp.
  • It's Okay to Cry: While she also cautions her to be careful of those wanting to take advantage of her fame, Verosika does encourage Loona to be more open and vulnerable around her father, rather than living her life being guarded towards everyone.
  • Jerkass Has a Point:
    • For all her bigotry and dislike of Loona, Verosika has good reasons to be angry at Blitzo and dislike his desire to be a father. For one, his main reason to marry her after two years, even if it was only on paper, was so he could adopt Loona rather than a desire to live with her fully. She’s also actively trying to get him good work, by offering him jobs from Vox, knowing that Blitzo despises his current one at Loo Loo Land. And she’s understandably furious that her boyfriend would choose to live with a fake husband rather than her, seeing it as him all but cheating on her. She has a right to feel betrayed by Blitzo going through with this fake marriage and adoption when he swore he’d always be her boyfriend.
    • She also makes a good point about Loona needing supporters and help, if she's going to make it in the world of show business. We've heard how cruel Hell is to hellhounds both in the show and the pic, with them being treated as the lowest of the low, relegated to servants and hard labor. A hellhound working in show business would be extremely rough, especially for someone of Loona's age, so she'd need all the help she could get to stick out. Help from Verosika Mayday, a popular pop star, would be like a godsend to the little hell pup, regardless of what her true motivations are.
  • Learned from the News: Blitzo finds out about the media slandering him and Loona, over his relationship with both Stolas and Verosika from a new article sent to him by Angel Dust.
  • Little Miss Snarker: Even as a kid, Loona has quite the snarky, feisty, filthy loudmouth on her.
  • Loophole Abuse:
    • The whole story is kickstarted by Blitzo needing to be married in order to legally adopt Loona. However, it doesn't state that it has be an official marriage, only that it be in writing and that he lives with his partner regularly. As such, he's able to talk his friend Stolas into the arrangement and adopt Loona completely legitimately.
    • As part of the adoption deal, Loona has to attend school until she turns 18. This proves to be difficult for her, as she's been kicked out of multiple schools and few of them will even accept hellhounds. Luckily though, they find a workaround, as the rules don't specify what kind of system she has to attend. Thus, Vox is able to enroll her as a member of his artist school, where she can learn to become an actress.
  • Manipulative Bastard:
    • Verosika proves to be extremely talented in manipulating Blitzo, by playing Loona's admiration of her and her past romance with the imp, to worm her way back into her former lover's life despite how much it complicates things. This is how she manages to get him to attend a sex club with her, despite Angel's strong warnings against it.
    • Vox is a master of this game, loving to get under the skin of others and twisting things for his own benefit/amusement. A Prime example of this is with how he managed to drum up attention to Loona by insisting Stolas & Blitzo take her on a trip to Lu Lu World, then getting Verosika to come back into their lives and take the young hellhound on a shopping trip, further boosting her reputation and fame through new articles and the media. All to sell Loona as the next big hotness in terms of acting.
  • Marriage of Convenience: Thanks to a sudden new law, the only legal way for Blitzo to adopt Loona, is for him to marry someone. Luckily for him, it doesn’t have to be an official marriage, as long as it’s in writing and he regularly lives with his partner. When Verosika rejects the offer, he turns to his best friend Stolas, with the two agreeing to marry so the Prince can have some help taking care of Octavia, and so that Blitzo can finally have the daughter he’s always wanted.
  • Massage of Love: When Stolas offers to do something with Blitzo for a change, asking what the imp likes, he struggles to come up with a truthful answer. Eventually, Blitzo claims to want a message, when what he really wants is genuine connection and contact with other loved ones, something he's too afraid to admit out loud. Luckily for the imp, Stolas is already well-versed in massages and happily offers to give him one, once they arrive home. Something Blitzo happily accepts.
  • The Matchmaker: Besides his constant teasing and flirting Angel Dust does encourage Blitzo to at least go out on a date with Stolas, even if only as friends.
  • Mundane Luxury: After being treated as little more than a sex object by everyone around him, Angel Dust is genuinely touched by Blitzo declaring him to be a friend and person, and that Loona thinks he’s really cool.
  • Neglected Garden: Stolas’ garden becomes quite the large, unkempt jungle after the prince becomes so caught up raising Octavia and managing the chores to properly take care of it. When he finally gets the house for himself, he’s able to do some much-needed yard work and turn the jungle into a beautiful garden once more.
  • New Friend Envy: Loona does not take Kindly to Millie's unexpected arrival and her staying at their house, fearing the imp will make Blitzo & Stolas leave her in favor of the imp. Hilariously, Millie tried to kill Stoals just the last chapter and thus Blitzo is very untrusting of her.
  • News Travels Fast: Blitzo and Loona quickly make the news, with their relationships with both Stolas and Verosika, only days after the fact. The imp is portrayed as a gold-digging jerk and the hellhound as a source of mockery.
  • Oblivious to Love: While the pair are mostly fake married so that Blitzo can adopt Loona, it is clear that Stolas genuinely loves the imp; something Angel & Loona eventually pick up on. Though Blitzo himself is in deep denial, dismissing these feelings as most just friendliness and not wanting to fully believe that someone like Stolas could see him that way.
  • Obviously Not Fine: When Blitzo starts seeing Verosika again, Stolas claims that he doesn't mind it at all and is very happy for Blitzo, despite Loona being clearly able to see through him, knowing that he hates it and calls him out on it.
  • Off the Wagon: Blitzo does his best to quit his bad habits, meaning the drinking, drugs, and mindless sex, after adopting Loona, as he wants to be a better example for her. Verosika's sudden arrival and her manipulations, however, soon manage to get him to fall off and join her in their dark inhibitions,
  • Orphanage of Fear: As in canon, Loona’s stay in the Hellhound Foundation was not a happy one. She, along with several other kids, was kept in cells with little privacy or room, where she was constantly attacked by the other kids, while the adults did nothing. When Blitzo learned about this, he immediately went to get her out of there, partnering up with the one kind caretaker Horusas, arranged for a turf war around the area, killing many of the adults working there and blowing up the building with some of Cherri Bomb’s explosives, so that Loona and the kids could get relocated to better orphanages.
  • Papa Wolf: Even before adopting her, Blitzo is incredibly protective of Loona. During their first encounter, where he thought she was trying to rob him, he defended her from her would-be kidnappers. When he tracked her down to her kennel, he promised her that he would get her out and spent several years in order to fulfill said promise. Stolas likewise is very protective of both his children, not only ensuring he can keep Via away from Stella after the divorce but taking great care in looking over Vox's Loona contract, to ensure the Overlord doesn't try anything with his new daughter.
  • Parental Abandonment: Loona heavily implies that she was sold off by her own parents, during a talk with Stolas.
  • Pillow Pistol: Blitzo sleeps with his gun, Domino, under his pillow, it becoming a habit due to his dangerous lifestyle and constant being on guard. When Stolas goes to wake him up, Blitzo berates him for it fearing he could've shot him, which causes the prince to worry and request he stop the habit. Blitzo agrees when he learns that initially Loona & Octavia were going to wake him up, planning to pounce on him.
  • Please, Don't Leave Me: Having lost her birth family and spent most of her life in a Hellhound Foundation and an Orphanage, Loona is very attached to Blitzo & Stolas despite her standoffish attitude, and fears losing them.
  • Polyamory: Blitzo describes his current relationship with Stolas as this. He and Stolas are technically married, even if it's a marriage of convenience, but Blitzo is free to pursue and sleep with other demons, this extending mostly to Verosika.
  • Racial Transformation: Vox underwent a minor one, similar to Rita Hayworth, in which he bleached his skin to appear Caucasian, and had many kinds of surgeries done to hide his immigrant ethnicity, in order to become an actor in Hollywood.
  • Relationship Revolving Door: Verosika and Blitzo, frequently fight and break up, only for them to eventually come back to the other with apologies and sex. Seems to have finally hit an extended break period in Chapter 5, as Verosika leaves for a year-long tour in the Living World. Only for the pair to fall back into this nasty habit, as Verosika unexpectedly returns in Chapter 13, much to Blitzo's chagrin, and eventually manages to rope him back into their unhealthy relationship.
  • Riches to Rags: Played with. While Stolas has more than enough money to keep himself and Octavia happy and fed in their new home, even after the divorce, he has lost much of his status as an Ars Goetia prince and all of his former staff; leaving him to take care of the house, the garden and other duties he’s utterly unfamiliar with, while having to care for the lively, young Octavia.
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: Fat Nuggets is able to charm just about anyone with his adorableness. Even the abrasive Loona.
  • Sadist Teacher: Cash Buckzo was quite the careless and harsh teacher to his children, when it came to performing their circus acts. In addition to forcing them to perform while in bad shape, be it if they were tired or injured, with only shots of alcohol to get them by, he made them practice without the safety net, thinking it would improve balance.
  • Sapient Pet: Hellhounds are often treated like this by those who adopt them. Even outside of that, they're often treated like animals, with people rewarding people for bringing in 'strays' back to their kennels.
  • Servant Race: Hellhounds are generally expected to grow up to become either members of the work force, or as bodyguards for the Ars Goetia. Most of them aren't even allowed to attend school, to keep their work possibilities as limited as possible.
  • Shrinking Violet: Downplayed. The usually standoffish and distrusting Loona, becomes a bit shy and awkward upon meeting her uncle Angel Dust for the first time. She quickly grows out of it, once the two get along.
  • Signature Scent: Loona remarks that Angel Dust smells of vanilla, glitter, coffee, and cigarettes. The vanilla part coming from the shampoo he uses to hide away Valentino's stench on him.
  • Starstruck Speechless: The usually grumpy and sarcastic Loona is left utterly speechless at the sight of Verosika Mayday, her favorite singer, not only in her house but wanting to see her. Despite Blitzo's silent protests, she eagerly accepts the succubus' offer for a shopping trip.
  • Stepford Smiler: Stolas spends most of Chapter 15 in this state, after Blitzo not only takes Loona out on a shipping trip with the popstar but joins his ex for a night out in a sex club. The former prince, being clearly infatuated with Blitzo, not fond of Verosika and jealous of the pair's relationship is quite saddened by it. When Blitzo return the next day, he can tell something's up with Stolas as he's seemingly happy, yet acting strange in a way he can't figure out.
  • Sucky School: Most schools in Hell are this for hellhounds, with many even refusing to allow them to enter.
  • Surprise Party: Stolas throws one for Loona upon arrival, surprising her with a large welcoming sign, balloons, sandwiches, burgers and fries, like it was her birthday. Unfortunately for the well-meaning Prince, his grand gesture ends up overwhelming the newly adopted hellhound, causing her to be more guarded than happy. She does eventually calm down and appreciate the gesture though.
  • Struggling Single Mother: Rare Male Example. After divorcing and with no servants to help him, the story opens with Stolas, left in the hectic position of managing his house while taking care of a very young Octavia. When Blitzo finds him, Stolas is left exhausted, in the middle of a panic attack, while caring for an irate Octavia, who refuses to eat or sleep.
  • Supreme Chef: Angel Dust proves to be an incredible cook, able to make a pasta dish, making the noodles by hand out of dough, so delicious, Loona declares it better than anything else she's tasted.
  • Think Unsexy Thoughts: Upon getting turned on by Stolas & Angel Dust’s long legs, Blitzo desperately tries to think of explosions to keep his mind off it.
  • Tsundere: Loona is this of the non-romantic verity. Despite being very closely guarded, rude, and aggressive to others, especially strangers, she is still a kid and one who's very happy for her family. During the family trip to Lu Lu World, we get to see more of her child-like side, as she becomes overly excited, wants to ride the many cool rides, and generally becomes much happier and freer than usual.
  • Unexpected Kindness: This is the reason why Millie decides to stick around Stolas and help the family out, being so taken aback by how nice the prince was to her, even after trying to kill him. Having felt unloved and treated poorly for months, the kindness caught Millie completely off guard and helped to fill a void that had been left in her since breaking up with Chaz.
  • Unmanly Secret: Blitzo becomes quite embarrassed, when Loona brings up his excitement and attempts to flirt with Stolas, whenever the prince is around.
  • Villain Over for Dinner: Played with. After her failed assassination attempt, Stolas offers Millie a nice cup of tea and a chat, recognizing her from the HoneyMoon club. Afterward, she apologizes for her attempted hit and joins them instead.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: Vox may be a manipulative and cruel schemer, fond of taking advantage of people, controlling the media, and shaking things up for his benefit/amusement, but not only is this not treated as a big deal due to the setting of Hell, but being the one behind all the shows, movies and entertainment across the Rings, many are fond of him and his work. Everyone in his studios, including the children, seems to love him too.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Chapter 15. Millie unexpectedly shows up in Stolas' apartment, having seemingly meet Blitzo before, much to the imp's shock.
    • Chapter 16. Chapter 16 reveals that someone has put a hit on Stolas' head, with someone heavily hinted at being Striker, currently gunning for him.
    • Chapter 19: Millie's old coworker and the assassin hired to kill Stolas, is confirmed to be Striker and it's heavily implied that the former-prince was targeted so that Octavia would have to be returned to her fellow Ars Goetia; more than likely under the care of Stella.
  • Wham Line: Chapter 16. Millie's description of her old partner, hired to kill Stolas, sounds suspiciously like Striker.
Millie: My ex-coworker is very good at assassinating royalty… he has angelic weapons and a history of murdering immortals.
  • You Must Be This Tall to Ride: Much to Loona's disappointment, she's too short to ride any of the really cool and fun roller coasters at Lu Lu World.
  • You Never Did That for Me: Blitzo feels a tinge of jealousy towards Angel Dust for how easily he's able to win the girls over and especially, when Stolas calls him darling, right in front of the imp. Something he never did to him.
