From CIT to All Star is a Total Drama fanfiction written by The Legendary Dragon Reaper. It is the second of two sequels to A BFG's World Tour, covering the verse's version of Total Drama All-Stars.

For Courtney, her time on Total Drama World Tour could best be described as a Bittersweet Ending: though she had once again failed to win the million dollars, she did manage to apologize to her fellow castmates for her Jerkass behavior to them over the past two-and-a-half seasons and even managed to win back her boyfriend Duncan after said behavior caused him to leave her earlier in the season. After that, it seemed her time on Total Drama was finished as the show moved on to a new generation of competitors, but when a recently-paroled Chris McLean invites her and several fellow first-generation contestants back to Wawanakwa Island for an All Star season, the C.I.T. sees it as her chance to finally participate in the competition the right way. However, between Chris' usual shenanigans and a fellow contestant's mysterious past raising its ugly head, Courtney's about to discover that redemption is a whole lot more difficult than it sounds.

This fanfiction contains examples of:

  • Adaptation Name Change:
    • The heroes' team name is now the Heroic Hawks instead of the Heroic Hamsters.
    • "No One Egg-spects the Spanish Opposition" is re-titled "The Uneggspected Opposition" here.
    • "Zeke and Ye Shall Find" is re-titled "Revenge of the Interns" here.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Fang is revealed here to have previously been Courtney's "animal buddy" from the aforementioned challenge in Action before his mutation.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
    • Courtney and Duncan are still going strong here whereas any flame they once had for each other had long been extinguished by canon All Stars.
    • DJ and Dawn never interacted in canon, due to the latter having already been eliminated by the time DJ made his guest cameo in Revenge of the Island. Here, the two are revealed to be childhood friends and neighbors.
    • Courtney and Scott had several Ship Tease moments together in canon All Stars. Here, not only is the ship sunk before it can even begin due to Courtney already being with Duncan, but upon learning about Scott's history of sabotaging his own team, Courtney is absolutely disgusted and campaigns to have Scott become the first camper voted off.
  • Adapted Out: As Word of God stated before, Cameron and Lightning are not competing in this season, along with Sam, Lindsay, and Sierra. Instead, they are replaced with Brick, Anne Maria, Dawn, DJ, and Cody.
  • Aesop Amnesia: Lampshaded by Dawn in "Sundae, Muddy Sundae" when Chris says that he forgot to feed the interns barely a week after having gotten kidnapped and nearly mutated by the previous season's interns.
  • The Atoner: Courtney's whole motivation for competing in this season. After three seasons of controlling and bad behavior, she wants to compete the right way this time.
  • Big Damn Kiss: Courtney gives one last kiss to Duncan before he's eliminated.
  • Blue Is Heroic: The Heroic Hawks' team logo is blue instead of the gold the Hamsters had in canon, thereby invoking this.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: Mal notices there is no Sound-Effect Bleep when cursing inside Mike's brain.
  • But for Me, It Was Tuesday: Mal doesn't recognize Duncan as his former cellmate whom he once brutalized until they're fighting each other in the boxing challenge.
  • Call-Back: In "You Regatta Be Kidding Me", Mal brings up Courtney's elimination in Island saying Chris let Harold get away with rigging the votes because of the drama and the boost in ratings. That's how he knows Chris won't disqualify him for rigging the votes so Alejandro and Zoey are both eliminated that night.
  • The Cameo:
    • Noah and Emma are shown being spied on by Owen during their date before the latter senses that giant pancakes have been made and runs off to get some.
    • In addition to his canon cameo at the beginning of the season as one of Chris' cellmates, the psycho killer with a hook and chainsaw from Season 1 appears as Gwen's opponent in the "Suckers Punched" challenge.
  • Commonality Connection: After learning how Mal came to be, Courtney goes against ratting him out because she senses he wants redemption just like her.
  • Continuity Nod: As before, there are plenty of references to the original series and previous fics:
    • Chris calls out Gwen for wrecking the plane during the pilot.
    • When Chris mentions that he never wants to hear again about the former competitors who appeared on a certain other reality show, Dawn asks if it's due to his college rivalry with Don, referencing the Noodle Incident mentioned by Don in "Bahamarama" about Chris stealing his college girlfriend.
    • When the Villains realize the sculpture they're building in "Evil Dread" is of Big Ben, Duncan mentions how London wasn't exactly the happiest time for him in World Tour for multiple reasonsnote .
    • Near the beginning of "The Uneggspected Opposition", Heather once again brings up her Wild Card theory she explained in the final Aftermath of A BFG's World Tour.
    • Due to Gwen not fighting with Courtney, her new opponent in the boxing challenge is the Psycho Killer from Island.
    • Chris states that DJ's boxing opponent would have been either Chef or the baby seal and they lost track of the latter somewhere in Finland, which is where it made its cameo in A Dramatic Ridonculous Race.
    • Heather's boxing opponent is a female sumo wrestler, since it's previously established she's afraid of them.
    • Courtney's boxing opponent is Fang, who turns out to be her old shark pal from the animal challenge in Action before being mutated.
    • During Gwen's rant at Chris after her elimination, she brings up how he buried her alive on two separate occasions.
  • Crazy-Prepared:
    • Not knowing which team would be first to the ammunition crates in "Saving Private Leachball," the interns prepared them with enough weapons and ammo to accommodate for either team. Brick takes advantage of this by secretly grabbing the last leech gun after the Villains had already grabbed the first six ones for themselves and using it to take out Jo and give the Heroes the win.
    • Chef predicted that Owen would somehow know they had made giant pancakes for a challenge and show up to get some, even in spite of having been banned from the show due to his participation in The Ridonculous Race, so he prepared a massive cart piled high with giant pancakes just for him.
Chef: Yep, in this line of work you gotta know how to be prepared.
  • Cutting Off the Branches: The pilot states that Duncan won TDA in this verse.
  • Demoted to Extra:
    • In canon, Scott made it all the way to third place in All Stars. Here, he's the first one eliminated.
    • Downplayed with Duncan, who is the last one to be eliminated before the merge when he was the first one eliminated during the merge.
  • Destroy the Evidence: After Mal explains in a confessional who he plans to eliminate and take to the finale with him, he makes sure to destroy the chart he made by flushing it so it can't be used as evidence against him. This doubles as a Take That! to the infamous chart Courtney made in canon, which she didn't properly dispose of and ruined her own game when Mal revealed it to the others.
  • The Dog Bites Back: Since Ezekiel is not feral in this verse, Chris gets kidnapped by a group of interns who are very fed up with his treatment of them.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Courtney is disgusted when Anne Maria informs her about Scott's Team Killer methods in Revenge of the Island and successfully campaigns to have him the first one on her team booted off.
  • Expy Coexistence:
    • At the beginning of "Moon Madness," Duncan complains that, compared to eating Chef's cooking, they'd be better off foraging for food like on Survivor.
    • Manitoba says at one point that being free would mean that he gets "(his) own movie franchise that runs through Harrison Ford's like a hot knife through butter."
  • Flipping the Bird: Gwen does this in her introduction when Chris calls her a plane wrecker.
  • Forceful Kiss: After Anne Maria is eliminated, she grabs Mike by the shirt and pulls him into a brief but heated kiss before leaving.
  • For Want Of A Nail: There's a few distinctions from canon-All Stars:
    • A non-elimination happens in "Heroes vs Villains", so the first elimination ceremony happens next episode.
    • Scott, Duncan, Alejandro, and Zoey are eliminated earlier than in canon, with the latter two both being eliminated in "You Regatta Be Kidding Me".
  • Groin Attack: Courtney beats Fang with this, but she's not proud of resorting to it again.
  • History Repeats: Just like how his older brother was a pawn for Alejandro in World Tour (and like how said brother's girlfriend was one for Heather during Island), Brick has become a pawn for Mal.
  • I Can't Believe I'm Saying This: When Jo ends up being the last member of the Villain team standing in the leachball challenge, we cut to her in the confessional disparaging her fellow teammates.
Jo: Never thought I'd say this, but if Lightning were here at least he'd be able to keep up with me. (pauses, then realizes) Wait, did I say that part out loud? (begins grabbing at the tape)
  • I Regret Nothing:
    • Gwen states she would proudly destroy Chris' plane again during her first scene.
    • Anne Maria says the same when she ends up puking on Chris' face.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Mike says that a few weeks after Revenge of the Island ended, Anne Maria tracked him down to his home and confronted him about the two of them and Vito, with her telling him that if he had feelings for anyone else he had to tell her now and she'd accept it if Vito did too. Mike brought Vito out and claimed he wasn't getting in the way of what Mike wants, and Mike confirmed Zoey was the only one he wanted to be with, with Anne Maria accepting this. That being said, she still steals a brief but heated kiss from him upon her elimination, claiming she deserves something from the experience.
  • In Spite of a Nail:
    • Despite not having been burned by the volcano in this continuity, Alejandro still enters the competition in disguise and reveals himself at the climax of the first challenge (mostly because he wants to make an entrance).
    • Despite Ezekiel not becoming feral in this continuity, and therefore not living among the mutants during Revenge of the Island, Anne Maria claims she found the "giant diamond" in the mines on her own while separated from her team and still quit the game before finding out it was worthless.
    • Jo's elimination in "Saving Private Leechball" is the only one that remains the same.
    • Despite starting out on the Heroic Hawks, Gwen still ends up on the Villainous Vultures.
    • Even with Scott being eliminated early, Fang is still an opponent during this version of "Suckers Punched", only this time, he's fighting Courtney.
    • Chris' "cottage" still gets blown up, despite Duncan having already been eliminated at that point.
    • Chris still gets kidnapped in the 100th episode despite Ezekiel not being feral.
    • Mike/Mal still ends up part of the final two with Heather and Alejandro still being among his helpers.
  • Irony:
    • In the canon series, Chris (initially) put Courtney on the Heroes team despite all of her villainous actions throughout the series, with Courtney being unapologetic for any of them. In this story, despite Courtney now trying to do better and redeem herself, she is still placed on the Villains team at the start for all of her previous villainous actions.
    • In canon, Courtney infamously had her game and reputation ruined when Mal showed the others her chart of who she planned to eliminate and take to the finale with her. Here, Mal makes a similar chart but makes sure to Destroy the Evidence, only for Courtney to still end up exposing him thanks to the evidence Heather left behind.
  • My Significance Sense Is Tingling: Owen can somehow sense that giant pancakes have been made and rushes to Camp Wawanakwa to get some.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Gwen lays a nasty one to Chris in the finale.
  • Persona Non Grata: Due to Chris' petty grudge against Don, he says that he never wants to see or hear any of the former Total Drama contestants that competed on The Ridonculous Race again, stating they all "betrayed him".
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Brick gives one to Jo in "Saving Private Leachball", calling out her self-centered cutthroat attitude and how she refuses to accept it when not everything comes out her way. Jo for her part simply confirms everything he says with a smirk.
  • Reformed, but Rejected: Despite trying to be a better person, it's shown that the other villains are still weary of Courtney.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Brick is revealed to be Tyler's younger brother.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: In one confessional near the end of the first chapter, Mike mentions that Dawn told him after their first season that she knew about his personalities before he told anyone else due to her aura reading abilities.
  • Ship Tease: DJ and Dawn.
  • Shout-Out:
    • When Chef meets Chris again in prison, he knows something is wrong since Chris is pulling a Cast Away.
    • When Mal begins making his presence felt in Mike's mind, Manitoba channels Dr. Strange:
Manitoba: No way around it mates... Looks like we're in the Endgame now.
    • That same chapter has Cody remove an octopus attached to the back of Brick's head by gently rubbing it on the top of its head until it releases Brick, which he credits to an episode of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
    • At the beginning of "The Uneggspected Opposition", when Courtney manages to shut up Heather and Alejandro's mocking of Cody by pointing out he's the only one out of the four of them who's made it to a Total Drama finale, she finishes it up by giving Marshall Erikson's "Lawyered!" catchphrase. Later that same episode, DJ tells Zoey that Duncan has a reputation for "not taking any... let's go with Stuff... from people" which was Future Ted's usual euphemism for "shit".
    • DJ tells Zoey that if Duncan spray paints what looks like a muffin, it's probably actually a giant explosion.
    • There is a mutant that resembles Man-Thing, and DJ also translates his catchphrase of "whatever knows fear burns at his touch".
    • The two-headed rat mutant reminds Brick of CatDog.
    • When trying to retrieve the crushed peanuts during the ice cream challenge, Mal ends up recreating the famous deleted scene from "Just One Bite", mistaking a bucket of gas for water and getting set on fire twice.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: Scott may not last nearly as long as he did in canon, but he still fulfills his canon role of being the catalyst for Mal's return via accidentally whacking Mike in the head with a shovel.
  • Smooch of Victory: Inverted; after Anne Maria is voted off she pulls Mike into a brief kiss before leaving, claiming that since she already lost a million dollars she might as well get something out of the experience.
  • Take That!:
    • Mal calls Teen Titans Go! a dumpster fire and is furious to hear it is going on Season 8 now.
    • Mal says the Terminator franchise should have stopped after the second movie.
    • Chris quotes Ben 10, which he means by the original and not the crappy remake.
  • Team Member in the Adaptation:
    • Anne Maria replaces Lightning on the Villainous Vultures while DJ, Cody, Brick, and Dawn replace the Adapted Out members of the heroes' team. Anne Maria eventually ends up getting switched over to the Heroic Hawks with Duncan in "Saving Private Leachball" while Cody takes up Cameron's role as the hero transferred over to the villains' team at the end of "Moon Madness".
    • Courtney starts off as a member of the Villainous Vultures and Gwen a member of the Heroic Hawks whereas it was the opposite in canon until Chris had Courtney switch teams. Chris does have Gwen switch teams later on during "Saving Private Leachball" in retaliation for Gwen tossing a bucket of leeches at him.
  • Thanks for the Mammary: In "Food Fright", a hit from Heather and Dawn falling on top of DJ results in him accidentally copping a feel from the Moonchild.
  • Token Good Teammate: DJ ends up being this to Mal and his team of helpers (Heather and Alejandro) in the finale.
  • Worthy Opponent: Mal sees Courtney as this, which is why he chooses her to be his opponent in the finale.
