The Lord

     Lord X
The game's antagonist. Born in The Void as an amorphous blob of Antimatter that managed to gain sentience after a cataclysmic amounts of energy collided with itself, he has gained a liking for the Sonic The Hedgehog series and molded his physical form, along with the world where he resides, around the franchise. He now wishes to take back what he thinks he's entitled to have: All of humanity.
  • A God Am I: Subverted. Despite saying the famous "I AM GOD" line from time to time, he doesn't truly consider himself a god, with him saying the line being his way of taking a jab at religion.
  • Alien Arts Are Appreciated: He has twisted, but genuine fondness for the Sonic franchise, seemingly relating to the message of freedom in particular. It's just too bad he seems to take it as "Freedom to do whatever he wants to whoever he pleases."
  • Aliens Are Bastards: Extraterrestrial in origin? Check. Tears out and enslaves the souls of people just for fun? Also check.
  • Batman Gambit: He used to lure people in by pretending his game was a PC port of Sonic 1. But now, he's also banking on the legend built around his game causing people to vanish to sucker people in because he knows that people love horror games. What he makes sure to avoid letting slip is that the game's dangers are all too real.
  • Berserk Button:
    • Being underestimated, as he gets extremely angry at a player after discovering he was going easy on him.
    • He can also be easily Enraged by Idiocy according to Word of God.
  • Been There, Shaped History: If the end of Drawning Lord X is any indication, he was responsible for the "Wow!" Signal in 1977.
  • Black Eyes of Crazy: As usual for a Sonic.exe take, his eyes are pitch black with glowing red irises, except that unlike the original Sonic.exe, he has X-shaped pupils.
  • Body Horror:
    • He can warp his body in gruesome ways to show off his otherworldly nature, being capable of opening his mouth to inhuman degrees, making hands crawl out of his mouth, twisting his neck around and even ripping himself in half over and over.
    • According to Word of God, his body is in a constant state of decomposition because his true form (which is stored inside his Sonic vessel) is made of antimatter.
  • Cessation of Existence: The fate of those who get caught by Lord X.
  • Eldritch Abomination: He's a shapeshifting Reality Warping creature of unlimited power (Only inside his dimension though) that was born in a void between dimensions as a sentient blob of Antimatter that created a twisted world based around the Sonic universe inside said void, he can erase people from existence if they lose his game and he isn't bound by the human psyche.
  • Energy Being: He's made of Antimatter.
  • Impostor Forgot One Detail: Normally, he looks very unlike Sonic to the point where people forget he's meant to be a corruption of him, but that's because his ideal vessel is more easily described as a beast that can be mistaken for Sonic. When he actually puts effort into appearing like the hedgehog, he's so good at it that he's able to fool most people who are aware of the "faker" ploy because the only difference is that he can't quite get the nose right; It still droops a bit, and he has a perpetual nosebleed.
  • Sadist: The best way to describe him is this. Literally the only reason why he kills so many people is because that's his way of getting some laughs.
  • Terms of Endangerment: Consistently refers to those that play his game as his friends, regardless and perhaps because of what he plans to do to them.
  • When Elders Attack: His general character concept is "Sonic.exe, after he's had a long time to hone his body, mind, and craft." He's getting on in years even by the standards of his species, but he's far more clever, and far more dangerous for it.
  • Wicked Cultured: One of his hobbies when he isn't killing is playing the piano.
  • Wingding Eyes: He has X-shaped pupils.
  • Would Hurt a Child: In the remake, he attempts to eat Alan, who's only eight years old. Not to mention his general terrorizing of the poor kid.
  • Villainous Friendship: He's canonically best friends with MX.
  • Villains Out Shopping; Is seen having a tea party with ALICE and an unnamed victim in an Amy vessel during the PC Port Trailer.

Lord X's victims

From the remake

    In General
The main protagonist of the game, Alan, as well as 2 of his former friends who were not so lucky as him.
  • Dead All Along: Dave and Paul are already dead and puppeteered by Lord X by the start of Alan's turn.
  • Empty Shell: Dave and Paul seem to be this, as they inhabit deceased corpses of Knuckles and Eggman.
  • Kid Hero: Alan is canonically eight years old.
     Tails/Alan
The playable character in the original Sonic PC Port, and its remake. While he may just seem to be the familiar fox we've come to know and love, the life counter in the corner of the screen hints that there may be something more to him.
     Knuckles/Dave
One of the many souls in the game, inhabiting a Knuckles carcass.
     Eggman/Paul
One of the many souls in the game, inhabiting an Eggman carcass.

From the original game

     RenĂ© Wurz/Luigikid
The player of the original game. He's a famous horror youtuber famous for his gameplay of .exe games, and he's the one who started the contest that inspired Joe Dough Boi to make the game in the first place. He has somehow managed to get his hands on Lord X's game and the game is from the point of view of him while playing the game. He's one of the few people to have had a direct encounter with Lord X and survived.
  • Action Survivor: He's the first person to have ever encountered Lord X and lived to tell the tale.
  • Eye Scream: At the end of the game, when Lord X shows Luigikid a character slot containing the vessel he's going to shove him in, in the TV screen above him, a drawing of his head with no eyes and Tears of Blood is shown.
     Cream/ALICE
A victim that Alan finds singing in one of the stages.
  • Despair Event Horizon: She may have crossed it given how her comment after she wished that God gives RenĂ© the strength to go on and survive, is to say "what am I even saying? He doesn't exist".

The Guardians

    In General
Seven creations of Lord X that represent aspects of his emotions taken to their most logical extremes, made to hold his realm together while he's busy playing his twisted games.

The guardians were showcased in a reveal video made by JoeDoughBoi and statues of them appear in the announcement trailer for the full version of Sonic PC Port, heavily implying they will play a role in said full version.

  • Arc Words: "There's so much to show you". This very phrase is uttered by each and every one of the guardians in JoeDoughBoi's guardian reveal video.
  • Literal Split Personality: Each Guardian is an embodiment of Lord X's ability to express more mortal emotions. Kito is his view on religion in relation to himself, Ken'o is his disgust with certain traits of humanity, Kofuku is the fun he has "playing" with others, Gekido is both his unfettered rage when disrespected and his penchant for Tranquil Fury, Zetsubo is his outlook on mortality and how he uses it to hurt his victims, Kyofu is his ability to use people's darkest fears against them, and Yokubo is his sense of desire made manifest.
    Kito
The guardian of prayer. Kito is the youngest and weakest of the guardians, with a strict but devoted attitude.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: He's the youngest of the guardians.
  • Ghostly Gape: His mouth is always wide open, and it's shown to be empty inside, aside from a tongue.
  • Lightem Up: Kito's powers are light-based, with his main usage of said powers coming in the form of a glow emitting from his eyes and mouth, trapping those who get caught in the light and forcing them kneel before him until they perish.
  • Living Statue: He looks a lot like a statue, being gray in color, incapable of fluid movement (except for his tongue), and always perched on a podium.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: The reason he's the weakest guardian is due to how common religion is.

    Ken'o
The guardian of disgust. Ken'o is a ruthless manipulator who knows nothing but hatred, making him constantly cold as a result.
  • An Ice Person: His powers are ice-based, and he's always physically cold, his heart having frozen him from the inside.
  • Perpetual Frowner: He's always scowling due to his heart freezing him from the inside as a side-effect of the sheer hatred he always feels.
  • Speech Impediment: Speaks with a very audible lisp.

    Kofuku
The guardian of joy. Kofuku is a very happy jester who seeks to paint everything blue, believing blue to be the color of happiness.
  • Affably Evil: He's the friendliest of the guardians, owing to his joyful nature. That doesn't make him any less deadly, though.
  • Brought to You by the Letter "S": He has the letter "K" embroidered on the cuffs of his coat, as well as on his boots.
  • Color Motifs: Blue. The majority of his color-scheme is blue, and his powers are based around blue-paint.
  • Gag Nose: Long and blue, visibly sticking through the human face he wears.
  • Genuine Human Hide: He wears a human face that is very noticeably attatched with metal clips. Unlike traditional examples, he wears it to appeal to his audience.
  • Happy Harlequin Hat: His head is styled like a jester's hat, with a bell on the end of each point. Two points on the hat stick upwards, likely to emulate a hedgehog's ears while the rest emulate the head spikes.
  • Perpetual Smiler: He's always happy, and is never shown expressing any other emotion, though part of this is due to the aforementioned clipped on human face being held in a way that it's always smiling.
  • Shout-Out: Kofuku's blue paint powers are based on EarthBound's "Happy-Happyism", a cult in the game that thinks the color blue is happy, and so they want to paint everything blue.
  • Villainous Harlequin: Physically, he would certainly seem like a Monster Clown, but leans more to this trope due to his jolly Affably Evil nature and his desire to spread happiness in his own way (painting everything blue), though his friendliness doesn't make him any less deadly.

    Gekido
The guardian of rage. Gekido is a well-mannered individual who tries his best to stay posh and proper, but underneath his gentlemanly act hides a fiery beast who will emerge if he's provoked.

    Zetsubo
The guardian of despair. Zetsubo is known as "the ultimate sadness", having a highly gloomy outlook and wishing to drown those who defy Lord X in endless sorrow.
  • Fish People: He appears to be a cross between a hedgehog and a fish.
  • Gray Rain of Depression: Wherever Zetsubo goes, the rain follows. The rain itself accentuates his nature as the guardian of despair.
  • Making a Splash: His powers are water-based, with rain appearing whenever he appears being an example of this.
  • Odd Name Out: He's the only guardian whose name doesn't have a single "k" in it.
  • Rhymes on a Dime: He prefers to speak in rhymes, because if it rhymes, it's true.

    Kyofu
The guardian of fear. Kyofu is a boogeyman who knows what one fears and can bring said fears to life.
  • Body Horror: His body is much more corpse-like compared to his head, and upon closer inspection, additional mouths can be seen on his chest.
  • Expy: He bears similarities to The Creeper of Jeepers Creepers fame, in that he wears a tattered coat and steals people's body parts to add them to his own body.
  • Faux Affably Evil: One of Kyofu's quotes from the guardian reveal video has him attempt to ask the viewer what they fear, saying they can be the best of friends if they tell him, but this is clearly just so he can use said fears to scare the viewers later on for his own amusement.
  • Human Resources: Kyofu gets fascinated by specific body parts with each of his victims, and will steal them for himself. His tongue is stitched together from the numerous tongues that he's stolen from said victims.
  • I Know What You Fear: He utilizes his knowledge of peoples' fears in order to bring their nightmares to life and torment them with said nightmares for his own pleasure. Said powers are what make him one of the more dangerous of the guardians.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: His tongue noticeably sticks out of his mouth. Unlike traditional examples, this case is Played for Horror, as the tongue itself as actually several tongues that Kyofu has stolen from his victims and stitched together.
  • Sadist: Kyofu gets a notable pleasure out of scaring people through bringing their nightmares and fears to life.
  • Things That Go "Bump" in the Night: He's a boogeyman, befitting his status as the guardian of fear. He even refers to himself as the "monster under your bed" in the guardian reveal video.

    Yokubo
The guardian of desire. Yokubo is the strongest of the guardians, with the power to manipulate what one desires.
  • Body Horror: Though he does a good job at hiding it at first, his limbs are held together with gold, similar to kintsugi pottery.
  • Hypocrite: He claims to be perfect, but tends to consist of imperfections upon further inspections.
  • The Leader: He's the unofficial leader of the guardians.
  • Pretty Boy: As low a bar as that is considering the rest of his peers, he can qualify given his feathered quills, elegant clothing and golden eyeshadow.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: Due to being the strongest of the guardians, he often lets that get to his head.
  • Spoiled Brat: Is said to give off vibes of this. His face is even described as punchable.
  • Your Heart's Desire: As the guardian of desire, Yokubo's powers are completely centered around this trope. He can manipulate one's desire, create images that reflect said desires, and even fog up the mind.
