This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Green Eyes de-wicking:
- Characters.Cerberus Daily News Citadel Space (delete Green Eyes as ZCE)
- Characters.Final Fantasy VII Playable Characters (change to Colour Coded Eyes)
- Characters. The Vampire Diaries Book Characters (change to Colour Coded Eyes)
- Characters. The Vampire Diaries Main Characters (either delete or change to Mark of the Supernatural — he's a vampire; though I haven't seen the work, so I'm not sure his green eyes are connected to him being a vampire)
- Characters.Yu Gi Oh The Thousand Year Door (remove pothole)
Thank you!
Please add G.I. Joe to Film for examples with their own pages and then remove the tree from Film D To G.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsMinor changes for the Dark Siders III entry on MagnificentBastard.Video Games:
- The true villain of the game, Envy, possesses Fury's Watcher and spends the entire game steadily manipulating her to Envy's own ends. Having Fury eliminate all the Seven Deadly Sins, Envy emerges when Pride has been defeated to usurp all their power and defeats Fury effortlessly. Declaring that the world will be hers, Envy proceeds to storm over to the Charred Council and nearly erases them herself to achieve her own ends, showcasing a brilliant and cunning mind underneath her selfishness and deadliness.
Slight rewrite for the first sentence of Kilgrave's entry at Marvel Cinematic Universe:
Kevin "Kilgrave" Thompson, the season 1 Big Bad, is an amoral, mind-controlling sociopath responsible for the ruination and deaths of countless lives.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM Drafts~Miss_Desperado, I'd like to see that trope go for a bit, before seeing if inbounds could use a bump with a redirect.
Fair enough.
If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.~DEIDATVM, not sure about the value of that redirect.
We should be caught up.

This is my bad: At Complete Monster, that should be Nibiru Entity, not Nibiry.
BTW, is 3 still the maximum number of indentations allowed? The answer is pertinent to a possible future request.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsOn WMG.Harry Potter Main, the two links to Captain Obvious should be removed.
Edited by Tabs on Jun 14th 2019 at 12:55:41 PM
Since it seems like there can be three indentations, please lock Halloween, add it to Film for examples with their own pages, remove the tree from Film H To L, and remove the image from the Film section at Complete Monster.
At Masters of the Universe, for the 2012 comic, please make the title:
- He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2012-2019, by DC Comics):
Hello everyone,
I would like to add the following trope to Yuffie Kisaragi's folder in the Final Fantasy VII: Playable Characters page:
- Trying Not to Cry: Attempts to do this but ultimately fails after Aerith's death. After paying her respects to her she turns to look at Cloud, her character model is slowly becoming more and more agitated, her emotions becoming too much for her to handle and she suddenly jumps in Cloud's arms, overwhelmed by grief. She tries to calm down afterwards, but ends up running away, crying.
The scene in question can be seen here (at the 1:25 mark).
I do wonder if that wouldn't be a Square Peg Round Trope case though, as the game's graphics make it hard to determine exactly what is going on. I was wondering if it wouldn't be a case of Cry Cute or Running Away to Cry... So I'm interested in your opinions on the subject too (and if you think my example could be expanded and/or should be rewritten, I'm all ears).

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanFilm is indexed at that page for works with their examples instead of Halloween
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsAt Marvel Comics, please change the first sentence of Mephisto's entry to:
This Demon Lord is Ghost Rider's boss, and far more.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsDone to here.
At Web Original, for Red vs. Blue, please move Sigma to the top.
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsCould we get Judgment Of The Dead as a redirect for Judgement of the Dead?
At Pokémon, for the header, please change "English dub" to "English version".
Fair enough. Out of curiosity, where's this translation policy?
Edited by ACW on Jun 17th 2019 at 5:00:21 AM
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsBetter yet, cut that line entirely, because it's redundant. The translation policy already states that names are from the English version, so there's no reason for readers to expect anything else.

This was reported on in this article, so it's widespread enough to count as Memetic Mutation.
