Hello, everypeoples! I'm TheMisterFree (or "themisterfree"), one of the more obscure tropers. My real name is Tim, I was born on August 27, 1998, live in Great Meadows, NJ, and have been a Troper since 2012, maybe?

I'm an aspie, and damn proud of it. I'm a huge fan of all sorts of weird things, ranging from TV news, to Transformers, comic books, retail stores, game shows and all sorts of other things. I'm One of Us, big time. I'm also a fanfiction writer, and a contributor to AlternateHistory.com (mainly the sequel to 'Player Two Start, Massively Multiplayer'').

You can find me on Tumblr, Twitter, Steam and Archive of our Own, among others.

Works I know all about/am a fan of

Tropes that apply to me include:

  • '70s Hair / '80s Hair: A very weird combo— my hair largely grows into a 70s bowl style (much like Eric Forman's), but the back grows into an 80s mullet (like season 2 Tony Stark). I only get it cut infrequently.
  • Big Eater: I have a really big metabolism, which usually manifests in eating a lot at dinner, eating all the snackage and/or leftovers in my vicinity (though I am a Picky Eater too, so it's good or bad depending on your point of view).
  • Brainy Brunette: Ding-ding-ding!
  • Catchphrase: A lot, most of which I use subconsiously:
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: My mind would probably be hard for a telepath to read (especially since I participated in a medical study that determined I have a very aplastic brain).
  • Deadpan Snarker: Quite a bit.
  • Drives Like Crazy: Given my Asperger's and my ADHD, I fear this is what will happen if I ever start driving.
  • Extraverted Nerd: I'm likely to be in my room, but also wanting to go out and have fun.
  • Forgetful Jones: When it comes to quotable movies, obscure trivia, and how to wire a home theater correctly, my mind's a steel cage. When it comes to doing daily tasks and remembering conversations, my mind is unreliable.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Big time— I'm constantly having to teach my parents and sister how to use their phones, the Xfinity box, and I handle everything computer related. I've hooked up two home theater systems in our house (one in our living room, the other in my room) and briefly interned at a place called Lifeline, where I learned how to disassemble and reassemble an iPhone to replace the screen.
  • Intergenerational Friendship: I get along well with many older people I've encountered either on the Internet or in real life, as a result of my non-ignorance of older media and events, unlike many people my age.
  • Intoxication Ensues: I once accidentally ate a magic brownie at a friend's house; it kicked in on the way back home and by the time we got back, I was ranting that it was the work of the "Anti-Autism Conspiracy".
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: I seem like I'm mean (especially to my sister, who I often fight with), but I have a heart and a good sense of morality. I'm firmly against our asshole-in-chief Trump and most of the Republicans who are busy running this country into the ground, and I always treat elderly people, veterans and sick people with the respect that's due.
  • Joisey: Pretty much averted— I live in the northwestern area of the state, more notable for the M&Ms factory than anything else, and I don't really live up to any of the stereotypes. (I do, however get pissed off a lot.)
  • Kleptomaniac Hero: In the Blood, we're all basically hoarders. I hoard comics, toys, and technology (especially old tech— I have an (unfortunately busted) Betamax deck).
  • Old Shame: Several incidents that I won't reveal here.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: Oh hell yeah. My parents don't like it when I do so, but that can't stop me from doing it— quite literally, I often swear when surprised or scared.
  • Tab Explosion: Either of this site, a wiki, or fanfic.
  • TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life: I often use tropes in conversations and thoughts, and am constantly making all sorts of references to media (which my mom hates).
  • Video Game Systems: Currently have a Play Station 3 (I used to have a Play Station 2, but I sold it to a used game store that went out of business, essentially), an old Nintendo Entertainment System (given to us by a friend of my parents whose father once ran a chain of video stores), a Wii (that we barely use anymore), and my gaming rig (a Cyberpower Cooler Master with AMD Phenom II, 6GB of RAM and an nVidia GTX 660). I also have a Game Boy Advance, a DS Lite and a Playstation Portable. Most recently I've come into possession of a Sega Dreamcast and an original Xbox (thoguh neither has any games and the latter lacks any of its' connection cables).
  • Weird Crossover: I have a knack for writing these, at the moment Steven Universe and SWAT Kats (inspired by the latters' presence on Uncle Grandpa's checklist in "Say Uncle").
