Sandbox / TWF Forbidden

TWF Forbidden is the brand of the Trope Wrestling Federation made for talent who came of age during the strange combination of growth and strife that came in The New '20s via AEW and COVID-19.^* While the current and former members of both The Elite and The Undisputed Era rose to prominence beforehand, technically qualifying to remain on the Next Level brand, the stables are key figures in both the foundation of AEW and the promotion of NXT to a television product; as such, they have opted to move here as the trendsetters whose influence is responsible for the Forbidden brand.

The championships of this brand are considered current-generation; as such, one of the listed real-world qualifying championships must be actively held or challenged for in order to be a champion or contender. All title matches will be either simultaneous TWF/real-world defenses against rightful challengers OR "champion of champions" matches between real-world qualified titleholders. Qualifying titles listed under "primary" will allow any titleholder to compete for and hold the specified championship, while qualifying titles listed under "contingent" require the titleholder to also be of this brand.

Most wrestling deities clamored for Kenny's inclusion since his excellent performance in the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 11 against Kazuchika Okada. The journey that took him to that match, however, is quite interesting tale.

Kenny Omega was first known as a jovial, fun-loving wrestler who was seen more as a talented goofball than anything else, although for some his storied tag team and complicated relationship story with Kota Ibushi as the Golden Lovers gave glimpses of his true potential. Ironically, achieving that potential required him to take a darker path than anything Ibushi could ever follow, becoming the mercenary hitman known as "The Cleaner" as a member of the Bullet Club. Through his time with The Club, Omega began incorporating more of a vicious striking edge as well as a relentless penchant for combat trolling which, aside from a brief interaction with Ibushi, made him seem like he'd gone completely insane. His path to superstardom took another twist when Omega, along with The Young Bucks, took advantage of the decision for AJ Styles to expand The Club's mission in America by violently ousting Styles to usurp the position of power in its home territory of New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Establishing themselves as The Elite and imparting their own vision onto Bullet Club, they soon began bringing in members who fit more with their flamboyant sense of humor and marketing style than the rugged image that BC had been known for. It was during this time period that Omega had his famous match with Okada, ultimately allowing his unit to expand further on Bullet Club's international growth and even create their own brand to the point that they could be considered the biggest stars in wrestling. However, it also ran afoul of dedicated Bullet Club followers and members, who considered BC to have lost its fire to dominate Japan, instead focusing on infighting between Kenny and his group. Many accused Kenny of acting as a self-contained outsider, contradicting his promise to expand the presence of NJPW both in the Pantheon and across the world, with him at the forefront.

Ultimately, shortly after Omega finally defeated Okada to claim Japan's top prize, The Elite were themselves ousted from Bullet Club only to become Executive Vice Presidents to a new promotion of their own. Now Kenny hopes to spread the wares of All Elite Wrestling throughout the multiverse. In his drive for power, Kenny has currently made it his mission to topple Bret Hart as the deity of pro wrestling and install himself as the greatest wrestler of all time, calling himself "The Best Bout Machine". Outside of the usual wrestling related endeavors, he has engaged in gaming contests with Xavier Woods, seeing who can best use the skills of the recurring participants of the World Warrior tournaments. He has lent his voice to a depiction of Cody Travers to herald his debut as Mayor of Metro City, as well as dressed as Akuma for an AEW entrance (alongside Ryu and Ken as The Young Bucks). He also spent a good while teaming with Adam Page, claiming the AEW World Tag Team Championships on one occasion.

However, many believed that "The Cleaner" never died, and with his ties to Ibushi now limited to the TWF, his dark side was only waiting to reemerge. This belief was proven true when Omega fought Moxley for the AEW World Championship, using a microphone provided by his longtime backstage guiding hand and honorary uncle, Impact Wrestling EVP Don Callis, to bust Moxley open and set him up to take the title. With Callis extolling his excellence as a wrestling god, Omega set out to establish himself as a "Belt Collector" of heavyweight titles from various promotions, as well as rekindled ties with The Good Brothers, slowly bringing them into The Elite. The Young Bucks went back and forth as to whether they wanted to be involved in Kenny's nefarious antics, before words from Callis convinced them to choose family over morals. As The Super Elite, Omega and company have run afoul of both their own company's heroes as well as Bullet Club, who still refuse to associate with them, for poaching Anderson and Gallows. As far as Kenny's concerned, this means nothing. Pro wrestling is his world, and all others are merely living in it.
