The main protagonist of Waccha Primagi!, a first year junior high school student who loves PriMagi and festivals. When she performs as a Primagista, she's immediately able to unleash a great amount of magic. She is very driven to become a top Primagista. Her preferred brand is LOVELY MELODY.

- Character Catchphrase: Not as casually as the catchphrases of the other Pretty Series protagonists, but she says "Waccha-waccha" as a form of expressing excitement.

- For Science!: She invites herself into Matsuri's home to research on her.
- The Stoic: She usually keeps a neutral expression.
- "Well Done, Son" Guy: She's been trying to impress her company-focused father. She caught his attention after inventing a PriMagi data processor, but everything after ended up with unsurprisement.

A third-year junior high school student at Arawashi School, a powerful school for Primagi. She lost to Jennifer Sumire Sol during the previous PriMagi Grand Festival but is trying her hardest to beat her. Her preferred brand is VIVID STAR.
- Absurd Phobia: Dead fish.
- Always Second Best: Views herself as this to Jennifer, whom she came in second to in the last Primagi Grand Festival.
- Berserk Button: Her frustrations over coming in second to Jennifer in the last Primagi Grand Festival have been shown slightly visible whenever the latter was around or simply just looking at a poster of her.
- Gyaru Girl: Both in her normal appearance and her PriMagi form, specifically the Amekaji note style.

- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: A jock who's also a Gyaru.

A third-year junior high school student whom the younger students respect. Her preferred brand is Eternal Revue.
- Bifauxnen: The Boyish Short Hair and princely attire she has in Primagi certainly has this effect on her. Even in her civilian form, she still looks like a Long-Haired Pretty Boy.
- Bridal Carry: Does this to Miruki in Episode 7 and 8.
- Distaff Counterpart: A less villanous version of Hibiki from Pripara.
- Does Not Like Spam: Tokoroten.
- Even Girls Want Her: Her charming smile can literally hit their hearts like a weapon.
- It Was a Gift: The glasses she wears was from her mentor figure, Midoriko Hanayashiki.
- Please, Don't Leave Me: Her character arc involves her trying to get over the fact that Midoriko, her former mentor, left the school without coming back.
- Power Dyes Your Hair: Unlike other Primagistas, her hair noticeably changes its color from light brown into dark red with silver streaks upon entering Primagi.

Milky Lemon

A deceptively cute second-year junior high school student. Her dream is to build a Miruki Cute Museum. Her preferred brand is Cherry Sugar.
- Ambiguously Bi: She is attracted to handsome-looking people, regardless of gender. Her crush list so far has Amane, Hughie and Toma.
- Berserk Button: Mention her family. We dare you.
- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Appears to be sweet and innocent, but underneath it is someone who uses her cuteness to her advantage. She’s also arrogant, manipulative, and very picky.
- The Fake Cutie: In front of cameras, she's sweet, innocent and adorable. Behind the scenes, not so much.
- Manipulative Bastard: And she shows it in her first interaction with Matsuri, where she almost gets her hands on her coord card using her cute charms.
- Narcissist: Miruki is arrogant and egotistical, evident by her inner monologues and self-talk in front of mirrors.
- The Perfectionist: Despite being easily attracted to handsome-looking people, she also has very high standards when it comes to love and will immediately back down on someone once she finds even the slightest flaw about them. Though she later regains her love like it was nothing.
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: She has pink hair both in her civilian and Primagista form, and certainly appears to be cute and sweet. Subverted in that she’s The Fake Cutie.
- Temporary Love Interest: And how! Two out of her three crushes have been crushed the instant she found a flaw about them. First she falls out of love with Amane after being told that she never cleans up, then she loses interest in Hughie after finding out he is that smug wolf she refers to as a "mangy mutt" that hosts the training camp. Although these flaws are later forgotten.

A second-year junior high school student who is a Primagi otaku. Very knowledgeable about idols and games. Her preferred brand is Radiant Abyss.
- Compressed Hair: Usually wears her hair in two thick buns to the sides of her head that are reminiscent of a lemon's shape.
- Edible Theme Naming: Her first name is literally "Lemon", and for bonus, her surname sounds a lot like "Cocoa". Her Internet friends also resemble fruits.
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Both her daily attire and her outfit in Primagi are heavily inspired by Gothic Lolita, from the use of darker colors to classical, Victorian-esque details. Her favorite brand, Radiant Abyss, also specializes in this style.
- Expository Pronoun: She refers to herself using the first-person pronoun Sessha (拙者), which was the way samurai used to refer to themselves to show humbleness.
- Eyes Out of Sight: Her bangs covered her eyes in her normal appearance. They were cut down in episode 9.

- Expository Hairstyle Change: Has black hair with long bangs in civilian form, it becomes red with a blue highlight as well as shorter in his Primagista form.
- Nice Guy: He's mostly supportive of Matsuri's efforts, looking out for her and making sure her Primagi journey goes smoothly.

A mysterious wolf who appears to know Myamu.
- In the Hood: He’s mostly seen with the hood of his outfit on.
- Spell My Name With An S: His name can either be Hyuui or Hughie.
- Stealth Mentor: He often appears before Myamu and lectures her whenever her stubbornness or reluctance rears itself.
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: An early indication he's closer to the magical world than the human.
Duoless
Voiced by: Saho Aono
The winner of the previous Primagi Grand Festival and the Primagista whom Matsuri greatly admires. Her preferred brand is SHINING DIVA.
- But Not Too Foreign: Her name and appearance does suggest a foreign ancestry, later revealed to be Puerto Rican.
- Latino Is Brown: She's a dark-skinned woman from Puerto Rico.
- Meaningful Name: Her surname means 'sun' in Spanish, fitting for the Primagista that shines at the top.
- Unwitting Pawn: She's been used and lied to by Achihiko to follow his PriMagi agenda.
Magician Partners
Voiced by: Riko Koike
A magician from the magic realm who scouts Matsuri for Primagi out of desperation for a partner. She is very competitive and fears abandonment. She can assume the form of a light blue kitten. Her preferred brand is LOVELY MELODY.
- All of the Other Reindeer: Was excluded by others when she was younger due to her clumsiness with her powers, which drove her to act more haughty to avoid appearing vulnerable.
- Cat Girl: She has the demeanor of a cat and a very cat-inspired appearance. Very fitting since she’s actually a cat in her Animal Form.
- Cute Little Fang
- The Magnificent: Refers to herself as "The Great and Powerful Myamu".
- Raised by Grandparents: Her parents are never mentioned and it's mostly her grandfather who acts as her parental figure.
- Small Name, Big Ego: She holds herself in a high regard, calling herself "Myamu-sama", and finds those without magic (chuppis) to be nothing too special even though she struggles to control her magic abilities.

Miruki Amauri's magician partner. The world inside her zipper is a secret.
- Beware the Quiet Ones: Hanitan usually appears sleepy and quiet most of the time, but when her "switch" is flipped, she becomes serious.
- Sleepyhead: Usually seen in a sleepy state. Right after performing a Beware the Quiet Ones moment, she will also lose her energy and get sleepy.
- Stern Teacher: Towards Miruki. As her partner, Hanitan is always thinking of Miruki's best interests and will lecture her if Miruki is doing something that may reflect poorly on the overall quality of things. She even makes Miruki write a report about her lesson to ensure she remembers it several times.

- The Stoic: She is polite and serious, though lacking in flexibility.

Amane Sumeragi's magician partner. She is a country bumpkin who's been intrigued by the stylish Amane.- Heroic Self-Deprecation: She admittedly feels unqualified to be Amane's partner because of how great a person Amane is.
- Nervous Wreck: Tends to worry about things quite easily and gets a little flustered.
- Nice Girl: Has a kind personality and is shown speaking very respectfully towards others.
- Magic from Technology: While not being an actual magician, it can still collect waccha and use the illusion spells because it was programmed this way.
- Robot Buddy: Auru's.

While only her name is known about this character so far, it is likely that this was Jennifer's Partner. Implied to have separated from her before the series' events, but it's still too early to know in what way.
