    A00: Zeph Newman

    A01: Solana Lucero Estelle
Designated Number: A01
Age: 18
Designated Weapon: W-7 — Gold Silverware Set
Designated Utility: U-26 — Surveillance System
Evaluation: “A01 better wisen up and make the decision to drop those precious morals before someone else decides to wipe that smile off her face and drop her; otherwise, I predict that it's going to be nighty-night for little Miss Sunshine over here." — [MCKINLEY], Armorer and Site Security (Querida / Site B)

  • Action Girl: Sunny is a proficient kickboxer—good enough at her chosen martial art to be considered a natural at it—and is known to be able to hold her own in a fight, competing regularly in tournaments at the local level (being noted to often place highly within her brackets or even to win outright). Indeed, this carries into the game, with Sunny proving she can stand against an opponent four inches taller and fifty pounds heavier than her while suffering from several seconds of reaction delay. In the end, though, it's not enough to save her.
  • Lesbian Jock: Sunny's one of these, through and through—being a tall, strong girl with physically demanding hobbies (including competitive martial arts) that she takes a lot of pride in, who happens to be also attracted to her fellow women, down to being one of the few confirmed female gay students in Sycamore High School's Class 12-B.
  • Martial Pacifist: Sunny's own character profile states that she follows a pacifist ideology, reinforced by how her family raised her and her martial arts training, and notes that she personally abhors violence. Those beliefs don't stop her from doing whatever she can to keep herself and her friends alive—she chooses to go out swinging.
  • Nice Girl: Sunny is described positively by her character profile and other characters, being known as an optimistic, thoughtful, and all-around amiable person to be around. She's noted to be a social activist, helps out her community, and works part-time at an organization that provides volunteer staff for charity organizations.
  • Official Couple: She's noted to be in a stable, long-term relationship with another character in the game, though the two of them couldn't be more different: her girlfriend, Yu-Mi Lee. After Sunny dies and becomes The Lost Lenore, Yu-Mi doesn't take it well.
  • Plucky Girl: Determined, persistent, and upbeat—characterized by her character profile as having an "indomitable spirit" that "seldom wavers"—Sunny is this to a tee. As soon as she awakens in the Deadly Game, she resolves to find and protect the people she cares about in her life.
  • Sacrificial Lamb: Sunny is the first character to die in SOTF: Cyber, meeting her end at the very start of the Deadly Game. Her fate comes before the end of her first scene at the hands of Daniel Arista, the game's first killer. Her death is given particular focus in the First Announcement, in no small part because she's the only main character to be dead by that point in the narrative.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: Though she's not quite masculine enough to count as a Butch Lesbian, Sunny could be considered a Tomboy. Despite that possibility, some of her most favored interests—particularly her love of gardening and especially flowers—skew traditionally feminine. Unfortunately, despite all of these qualities, she's the first to fall.
    A02: Kirsten Slagel
Designated Number: A02
Age: 18
Designated Weapon: W-21 – Picasso Asegai USA Speargun
Designated Utility: U-5 — Coins and Rings
Evaluation: "Your parents were right when they said Cyber Reality was the future, A02. I've got to say, though, what a shame about yours—cut so short! Maybe if you weren't such an invertebrate, you'd die with less regrets." — [LINCOLN], Announcer

  • A Birthday, Not a Break: Her and her class are taken hostage and forced into a Death Game on her birthday. She ends up shooting herself. With a harpoon gun.
  • I Reject Your Reality: Unlike most of her classmates, she refuses to consider that the situation is anything more than a prank. While this is understandable given the virtual reality setting, It leads directly to her taking her own life under the belief that she would just wake up in real life after
    A03: Xtra Zimmerman
Designated Number: A03
Designated Weapon: W-6 — Glock 17C ("The Aheglock") [9×19mm Parabellum]
Designated Utility: U-4 — Cans of Spray Paint
Evaluation: "So you want to shed your physical body? Well, here you go! Probably not exactly what you had in mind, but it's the closest thing possible with our modern-day technology. You can thank us later! Or, well, maybe not..." — [LINCOLN], Announcer

  • The Philosopher: Her narration and IC Discord posts often philosophize about the future advancements of CR, some of which alternately confuse and intrigue the other Omega Squad members.
R3@d@11: I will be there promptly.
I appear to have missed the previous conversation, but I would argue that time dilation is not the answer.
Why put yourself into a pretend world that will inevitably end?
Rather, we should seek to overcome our limitations by improving our forms.
If the world is to become inhospitable to meat, then meat is not the future.
If we upload ourselves, we'll have no need to worry about time, as we'll have all the time we could want.
    Spookr8ma: R3, you're speaking high again.
  • Transhuman: Openly expresses a desire to not have a human body, though she doesn’t have any sort of cybernetic augmentations.
    A04: Patrick Nguyen
Designated Number: A04
Designated Weapon: W-15 — Machete & Hockey Mask
Designated Utility: U-28 — Walkie-Talkies
Evaluation: "Oh, goodness gracious. Another one of these. Back in the good ol' days of yore, they would've been—no, I'm not getting old, you! Well, anyways, it's a crying shame that education's gone to the dogs these days. An old-fashioned locker-shoving might've straightened this wimp out." — [HARDING], Head of Finance

  • Animal Motifs: Dinosaurs. While not to the same extent as his fellow Omega Squad members Winter or Ángel, his profile notes that his In-Series Nickname 'V-Raptor' came from him playing a dinosaur-themed
  • Nervous Wreck: While Vee presents himself as an aloof sports anime rival in CR, in actuality Patrick has severe social anxiety and agoraphobia that leaves him The Shut-In. His confident persona is an act to hide this.
  • Surprisingly Sudden Death: Zig-Zagged. Patrick finishes giving a motivational speech to his allies, jumps off the tank he was on, and lands on a detached car door which sends him plummeting through the map. It isn’t clear if this kills him, but considering his last words are him begging for help the alternative might as well be death.
    A05: Ripley Klein
Designated Number: A05
Designated Weapon: W-5 — Fire Axe
Designated Utility: U-13 — Grenades
Evaluation: "A05's biggest enemy in the game is shaping up to be himself. In this game, you don't need to be the strongest. You don't need to be the smartest. You need to be the last one standing at the end. Do you have what it takes to make that happen? — [KENNEDY], Operations Lead

  • Horrible Judge of Character: Quickly latches onto Raymond Sullivan as an example of “zeal and quick thinking,” which the latter almost immediately disproves by injuring them both during a standoff. It’s excusable though, as this was in the immediate aftermath of watching his social studies teacher get murdered, something that would put most people under quite a bit of stress…
  • I Reject Your Reality: Is one of several students to subscribe to Raymond’s assertion that the game is just a prank. The first announcement tears that theory down. Hard.
  • Muscle Angst: He’s not as muscular as he would like to be, which negatively impacts his self esteem.
  • Nice Guy: Ripley is one of the more pleasant of the students, especially in contrast to Raymond
    A06: Yu-Mi Lee
Designated Number: A06
Designated Weapon: W-23 — SIG Sauer AG SG 552 Commando [5.56×45mm NATO]
Designated Utility: U-9 — Enemy Tracker
Evaluation: "With a hand of cards like this, Yu-Mi here is primed and ready to make all her enemies go 'mi-mi-mi—permanently. Make like a good veterinarian, A06, and put all the rabid dogs out there to sleep." — [MCKINLEY], Armorer and Site Security (Querida / Site B)

    A07: Soledad Fernandez
Designated Number: A07
Designated Weapon: W-24 — Sledgehammer
Designated Utility: U-24 — Roll of Infinite Duct Tape
Evaluation: "Maybe if this epic prankster uses enough of that duct tape—and has enough creativity in her empty head for it—she can make a whole new world of possibilities. That's the only way she'll stand a chance." — [POLK], Armory Programmer

    A08: Nathaniel Larson
Designated Number: A08
Designated Weapon: W-14 — Kolibri Pistol [2.7×9mm Kolibri]
Designated Utility: U-29 — Wallhack Glasses
Evaluation: "Well, well, look at this tyke. It looks like you'll finally have an outlet to vent all that anger and bitterness, A08! If I may give some advice, though, it's this: try not to self-destruct before you have the chance to wreak some havoc. I want some action." — [LINCOLN], Announcer

  • Compensating for Something: Invoked inversion by his second post, no less.
His antsy heart longed for something better, something higher-caliber, something that just isn't the smallest gun to have ever gone to market. He'd heard enough taunting back home about small things, thanks.
  • Prematurely Grey-Haired: Though avatars in Cyber can take the form of whatever the user desires, Nate’s grey hair is the logical endpoint of his already-greying hair in real life. This is implied to stem from the amount of bullying he experienced before moving to California.
  • The Shut-In: Spends as much time in Cyber Reality as he can, and is noted to never be seen during physical classes.
    A09: Amalia Cassidy
Designated Number: A09
Designated Weapon: W-20 — Pattern 1796 Cavalry Sabre
Designated Utility: U-23 — Reflector Shield
Evaluation: "She has a good head on her shoulders and good skills to survive. I don't think her wallflower nature will help her, but we'll see. She reminds me a bit of me when I was younger, actually. In a good way and a bad way, you know what I mean? By the way, do you think we should take care not to trigger her epilepsy, to be more fair? No flashing lights, etcetera? Or, like, go screw it, she'll die anyways? Because for some reason—wait, is this thing still on? This text-to-speech sucks, damn..." — [EISENHOWER], Medical Specialist

    A10: DATABASE ERROR
Database Error.

    A11: Nicholas Cameron
Designated Number: A11
Designated Weapon: W-19 — Mission Crossbows SUB-1 XR
Designated Utility: U-6 — Commemorative T-Shirt
Evaluation: "I think I'll be little use with regards to your many troubles. After all, I'm not exactly your therapist. But, if it's any consolation, we're giving you the perfect opportunity to vent some stress. I've heard that a little bit of acupuncture is very, very relaxing, after all..." — [LINCOLN], Announcer

  • Trans Tribulations: They clearly want to be a girl but their parents are strictly religious and, more importantly, openly hostile to “progressive culture.” This has had a profound impact on their mental state, coped with through Cyber Reality.
    A12: Kenton Zinn
Designated Number: A12
Designated Weapon: W-3 — Chainsaw
Designated Utility: U-22 — Portal Gun
Evaluation: "Well, I'd like to pose a question: does this living sociological cliché have what it takes to go for the long haul? Let's find out exactly how long that precarious hierarchy of his stays stable—otherwise, there's nothing to write home about here." — [TYLER], Game Monitor

  • Berserk Button: Early into the game Patrick/Vee calls The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974 and Friday the 13th (1980) "boomer horror movies," while also mentioning Portal. Because of Vee's dismissive way of talking about the movies, as well as Kenton mistakingly thinking he's calling Portal a horror movie of all things, this prompts an extended rant in his narration.
  • Cyber Green: Kenton wears a black-and-green outfit, and his dialogue matches. It's fitting for a tech-savvy teenager in a virtual death game.
  • Internet Jerk: Is noticeably more caustic than his friends in Omega Squad. It’s best demonstrated when he has what amounts to an internal temper tantrum when Patrick/Vee mistakenly lists the video game Portal as a horror movie.
    A13: Ilya Arkadi
Designated Number: A13
Designated Weapon: W-10 — Hidden Blade
Designated Utility: U-2 — Additional Ammo
Evaluation: "Hey guys, did you know that, in terms of every student's likelihood of survival, A13 is a total goner? When your best path to survival is trying to act like your favorite Pokémon and be 'compatible' with someone, even I start to feel a little bad for you." — [GARFIELD], Server Maintenance

  • Animal Motif: A fictional one, even. Ilya is heavily associated with Vaporeon from Pokémon. He wears a hoodie designed off of it, the franchise itself figures into his background, and even his profile is a reference to a very… off colour copypasta
  • Casual Danger Dialogue: His voice and narration have this air to them during the game, as it remains remarkably casual even when discussing how horrible the situation is or the probable jail time for killing someone.
  • Control Freak: Was apparently a huge one as a kid, which pops up in limited amounts in his senior year.
    A14: Rikario Dalton
Designated Number: A14
Designated Weapon: W-8 — Heckler & Koch USP Tactical [.45 ACP / 11.43×23mm]
Designated Utility: U-21 — Pepper Spray
Evaluation: "It doesn't matter what other people think about you anymore, A14. Trust me. All you need to do is muster your confidence, and you'll reach limits you'd never have thought possible before. Show your true potential." — [KENNEDY], Operations Lead

  • Speech Impediment: Displays an extremely noticeable stutter. This seems to mainly be a consequence of his social issues.
  • Used to Be More Social: His mental health struggles have eroded all of his past friendships.
    A15: Winter Castillo
Designated Number: A15
Designated Weapon: W-12 — Israel Weapon Industries Jericho 941 [9×19mm Parabellum]
Designated Utility: U-20 — Pac-Man Cosplay
Evaluation: "Hack this, fuckhead." — [GARFIELD]

  • Animal Motifs: Rabbits. She is a furry and otaku who has a bunnygirl Avatar, and her In-Series Nickname is 'Hareraiser.' Her profile notes that she went through a Watership Down phase when she was younger. Additionally, she favors a Fragile Speedster play style in CyberTag, complete with her running in zigzags— much like an actual rabbit.
  • Playful Hacker: Winter loves making increasingly weird mods for CR. One major highlight was when she and Ángel installed a mod called 'FuguFish' into Class 12-B, which played an unskippable clip from Stupid Invaders upon log-in. It's also mentioned she has made 'woodie' mods and a CyberTag gun called "the Emo Shooter". In the Omega Squad's Discord chat she also talks about how she started work on a Black Comedy Cannibalism mod in a cooking game before learning that it bent specific rules meant to prevent people from making ego shooters, and later jokes about making hay fever in CR.
    A16: Cecilia Moretti
Designated Number: A16
Designated Weapon: W-9 — Hedge Shears
Designated Utility: U-19 — Nylon Rope
Evaluation: "You're already descending the death spiral, rapidly falling apart at the seams like a tattered, threadbare shirt. At this point, why not take everyone else to the grave with you? I've heard that misery loves company, after all." — [LINCOLN], Announcer

    A17: Ángel Alcántara
Designated Number: A17
Designated Weapon: W-16 — Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX ("Standard") [.50 Action Express / 12.7×33mmRB]
Designated Utility: U-11 — Fire Extinguisher
Evaluation: "Well, I'd say something like 'make way for the most expendable member of Omega Squad,' but given A17's stellar weapon draw, this may be a race to the bottom that Mr. Alcántara could win." — [POLK], Armory Programmer

  • Animal Motifs: Moths. His taste in Avatars include both angelic and mothlike features, including antennae. When he appears during an Omega Squad meetup he has more distinctly moth elements such as mandibles.
  • Playful Hacker: He has a distinct interest in both programming and speedrunning. Additionally, both Winter and Ángel have used mods for michievous purposes, such as installing FuguFish, a mod that would play an unskippable clip from Stupid Invaders, into Class 12-B. His profile notes that he's also been working on a CyberDrive mod of his own.
    A18: Daniel Arista
Designated Number: A18
Designated Weapon: W-27 — Tennis Racket
Designated Utility: U-18 — Non-Fungible Token (NFT)
Evaluation: "It's funny, in a cruel sort of way, that the life you wanted was over long before we knocked at your door. Maybe you deserved better. Maybe not. Ultimately, it's up to you what you do with what you have. Happy hunting." — [COOLIDGE], Live Stream Operator

    A19: Gabrielle McLeod
Designated Number: A19
Designated Weapon: W-18 — Military Armament Corporation Model 10 (MAC-10) [.45 ACP / 11.43×23mm]
Designated Utility: U-15 — M1911A1 Water Gun
Evaluation: "If you don't try to dual-wield these things at least once, A19, I will be disappointed. Guns akimbo! Two of them are always better than one!" — [MCKINLEY], Armorer and Site Security (Querida / Site B)

    A20: Raymond Sullivan
Designated Number: A20
Designated Weapon: W-28 — The Klobb [9×18mm Makarov]
Designated Utility: U-14 — Hand Mirror
Evaluation: "See that little mirror we gave you? Good. I want you to gaze into it for a moment, really take in the view, and understand, for once in your life, what a clown you really are." — [GARFIELD], Server Operator

  • I Reject Your Reality: Refuses to acknowledge the game as real, instead blaming several of his classmates in Omega Squad and even the principal of his school. He even ropes a few of his other classmates into it before the first announcement proves him wrong. He takes this poorly.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted He and fellow classmate Boston Sullivan share the same name in spite of them not being related.
    A21: Gillian Kruger
Designated Number: A21
Designated Weapon: W-29 — Vampire Killer
Designated Utility: U-3 — Bag of Cheez-Its
Evaluation: "Do you know how hard it was to create the whip that killed Count Dracula? I had to make virtual holy water and everything. We got an actual priest to bless the computer we coded it on. You better be grateful because you'll need all the religious favor you can get." — [POLK], Armory Programmer

  • Butt-Monkey: Within the game itself, Jill started by getting blasted off the school rooftop by a torrent of cheez-its before being held at gunpoint. It just continues to go downhill from there, to the point that she dies after getting lodged inside of Bostons stomach
  • I Reject Your Reality: Subverted She associates with Raymond Sullivans group who asserts the game as some kind of prank, but she notes in her narration that she doesn’t believe it. She sticks around largely because she is heavily injured and without her weapon.
  • New Technology Is Evil: Noted in her character profile is that her father is a staunch opposer of Cyber Reality, which affected her upbringing up to the game itself. She herself isn’t much of a fan either.

    A22: Paris Lowery
Designated Number: A22
Designated Weapon: W-13 — Katana
Designated Utility: U-25 — Short-Distance Teleporter ("The Jumper")
Evaluation: "psssh...nothin personnel...kid..." — [GARFIELD]

  • Blood Knight: Out of all the kids, Paris is the only one who seems to actually want to kill their classmates, to the point that confronting two classmates at once— both armed with guns— doesn’t seem to faze them at all.
    A23: Marnie Cross
Designated Number: A23
Designated Weapon: W-25 — Smith and Wesson Model 29 [.44 Remington Magnum / 10.9x33mmR]
Designated Utility: U-30 — Wii Remote with Nunchucks
Evaluation: "You've got brains, you've got brawn, and you've got something to fight for? Well, now, aren't you going to be the belle of the ball once we open up the betting pool? Earn me some money, A23." — [TYLER], Game Monitor

  • Ill Girl: Moreso then normal, as Marnie was born with sickle cell anemia, and later in life diagnosed with chronic leukemia.
    A24: Julia Edwards
Designated Number: A24
Designated Weapon: W-26 — Springfield Armory M79 Grenade Launcher [40×46mm Low Velocity]
Designated Utility: U-27 — Unbreakable Riot Shield
Evaluation: "Such a sad clown. At least the spray bottle we gave her can create red mist." — [COOLIDGE], Live Stream Operator

  • We Hardly Knew Ye: Has some idle conversation with Marnie Cross and Hiro Hayes-Honda before getting her throat slashed open by Iyla Arkadi
    A25: Boston Sullivan
Designated Number: A25
Designated Weapon: W-11 — Invisible Knife
Designated Utility: U-8 — Diet Coke Can, 7.5 fl oz (pack of 10)
Evaluation: "Welcome back to the real world, A25. You've gotten lost in your delusions of inadequacy for so long that you might not recognize it anymore. This time, maybe you should reinvent yourself as a hardened killer." — [LINCOLN], Announcer

  • Body Horror: See Self-Harm below, but an unexpected glitch winds up fusing him with Gillian Kruger, which ends up killing her and forcing him to carved off pieces of her from his own body, which winds up killing him too.
  • Lovable Jock: Boston's actual personality is likened to a golden retriever— enthusiastic and active. Most of his interests are physical and outside of CR. However, he purposely tries to hide his athletism, personality, and even appearance due to it not being as huge a priority in Sycamore High and not fitting in because of it.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted. He and fellow classmate Raymond Sullivan share the same surname despite being unrelated.
  • Self-Harm: He takes to cutting himself to keep grounded within the game. Gillian getting fused into him makes him take it into overdrive
    A26: Hiro Hayes-Honda
Designated Number: A26
Designated Weapon: W-17 — Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX ("Infinite Ammo") [.50 Action Express / 12.7×33mmRB]
Designated Utility: U-12 — Fortune Cookies
Evaluation: "Welcome to your very own isekai, kid. Only difference is that we saved you the embarrassment of getting hit by a truck." — [MCKINLEY], Armorer and Site Security (Querida / Site B)

    A27: Zorin Boddicker
Designated Number: A27
Designated Weapon: Avtomat Kalashnikova 1947 (AK-47) [7.62×39mm Soviet]
Designated Utility: Miracle Syringe
Evaluation: "We gave you exactly what you wanted, A27: a stage where the whole country will see your actions and your father is unable to intervene. Do your worst." - [KENNEDY], Operations Lead

  • Big Good: Tries to become this, intending on gathering as many people as possible for an escape attempt. Paris Lowry kills him before he can.
  • Troll: Zorin likes fucking with people who earn his ire, which include his classmates in Omega Squad. Demonstrated in a pregame thread, where he crashes their game for the heck of it. He even talks like a stereotypical Internet Jerk while doing so.
  • Unfortunate Names: His full, legal name is Quantum Machine Œ Mi-IIV Zorin Boddicker. Is it any wonder why he hates his dad?
    A28: Raj Jarrell Aleksander
Designated Number: A28
Designated Weapon: W-22 - Powerwashing Gun
Designated Utility: U-16 -Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX ("Trash") [.50 Action Express / 12.7×33mmRB]
Evaluation: "I heard West Wing 2F is pretty dirty. Get to work!" - [POLK], Armory Programmer

    A29: Bailey Hersh
Designated Number: A29
Designated Weapon: W-2 Baseball Bat
Designated Utility: U-10 Exploding Fidget Spinner
Evaluation: "You're a wilting lily, A29. But even the most delicate flowers can make their way through the cracks in the concrete, clawing for sunlight. Time will tell if you can do the same." — [KENNEDY], Operations Lead

    A30: Andrea Patson
Designated Number: A30
Designated Weapon: W-4 Crowbar
Designated Utility: U-7 Complete Student Roster & Armory (Weapons and Utilities)
Evaluation: "I'll let you in on a secret, A30: nobody likes a tall poppy. If you stick your neck out any further, someone's bound to cut it off." — [MCKINLEY], Armorer and Site Security (Querida / Site B)

  • Boom, Headshot!: Meets her end this way at the gun of Ray Sullivan
  • I Reject Your Reality: Is one of the students who subscribes to Raymond Sullivans assertion that the game is just as prank.
  • Riot Grrrl: She has this aesthetic, complete with civil disobedience and loud opinions.
    A31: Jon Crumble
Designated Number: A31
Designated Weapon: WA-5 — Lightsaber
Designated Utility: UA-3 — Magnetic Gloves
Evaluation: "Let's just hope our dear Jon won't crumble under the pressure." - [KENNEDY], Operations Lead

    A32: Etienne Molyneux
Designated Number: A32
Designated Weapon: WA-4 — Keyblade
Designated Utility: UA-2 — Gas Mask & Tear Gas Canisters (x4)
Evaluation: "The Keyblade, huh. Well, thanks to his drumming skills and careful study of hockey matches, A32 should have at least some experience in beating things with a stick, so that checks out. Just don't come crying when your victims fight back." — [POLK], Armory Programmer

    A33: Zane Wilcox
Designated Number: A33
Designated Weapon: WA-3 — Iruiru Armory Type 51 Covenant Carbine [8.7x60mm CRP]
Designated Utility: UA-4 — Stealth Camouflage
Evaluation: "You're on a crash course with reality, A33, like a falling meteor heading toward Earth—do you have the mettle to push past the atmosphere? Or do you intend to stay where you've always been content to remain: in other people's shadows, a pale imitation of those far more interesting than you are?" — [LINCOLN], Announcer

     A34: Xavier Rios
Designated Number: A34
Designated Weapon: WA-1 — Chiappa Triple Threat [.12 Gauge]
Designated Utility: UA-1 — Bulletproof Vest
Evaluation: "Oh, what a tragedy! You were so right to be afraid, A34; you're trapped, caught in this nightmare like a rat in a cage. The future is now; can you feel its hands wrap around your neck?" — [LINCOLN], Announcer

     A35: Erica Stohl
Designated Number: A35
Designated Weapon: WA-2. — Exothermic Technologies Pulsefire LRT Flamethrower
Designated Utility: UA-5. — The Grappler
Evaluation: "A tool to fly and a tool to spit fire. Now all you need to do is build yourself a dragon cosplay and the fun can begin!" — [POLK], Armory Programmer
