This does not prevent multiple characters from addressing the inherent creepiness of a grown man pretending to be a teenager to gain access to a class of high school students, with a few implying [[{{Ephebophile}} the worst]].
* NotDisabledInVR: His paralysis is not a factor in Cyber Reality. [[spoiler: As it turns out, it was never a factor outside of it either. It was an explanation for why he never met up with anyone outside of CR to cover up his true nature as TheMole.]]
* TheReveal: [[spoiler: Zeph is actually an alias for Initiative Earth member [LINCOLN], who infiltrated class 12-B to help set up the DeathGame.]]

* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: Though she's not quite masculine enough to count as a [[ButchLesbian Butch Lesbian]], Sunny could be considered a [[Tomboy Tomboy]]. Despite that possibility, some of her most favored interests—particularly her love of gardening and especially flowers—skew traditionally feminine.
