    Alice, the Adorable Mystic
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_alice_350x441.jpg
"Who wants to play a game?"
Voiced by: Aya Suzaki (JP)
Faction: Norman Kingdom (born in Veda)
Honor of Kings counterpart: Sun Bin/Timebender

A young mystic born and raised in Veda, Alice lived a sheltered life and only knew about the outside world through the words of Yorn. She also learned magic on her own and became adept with it, making a name for herself amongst the people of Veda. Once the war in the south calmed down, as a part of Ilumia's plan to ally with the Norman Kingdom's humans, Alice was sent to be a representative of Veda and an 'acting little sister' to the King of Norman, Thane. Alice bade farewell to her home and made her way to Norman, where she was also welcomed with open arms and it quickly became her second home.

Alice is a primarily Support hero who specializes in disrupting the battlefield and protecting her friends, at the cost of dealing mostly miniscule damage with her skills.

  • Her passive is Trot. Every time Alice uses a skill, she gains movement speed.
  • Her first skill is Sunshine. Alice tosses a ball made of sunray into an area, to which it explodes, deals damage, and stuns enemies in the area.
  • Her second skill is Friendship. Alice uses her magic to buff her friends around her with a shield and movement speed increase.
  • Her ultimate is Hissy Fit. Alice summons a big circle in an area where every enemy that gets into it will be slowed, have their magic defense reduced, take damage over time, and be silenced.

  • The Baby of the Bunch: She's basically the little sister of everyone, in Norman and Veda alike (only Rouie had her beat in this term).
  • Cheerful Child: She's a playful little girl who occasionally treats the battlefield like some sort of playground, though she's as dedicated to protecting her friends. She has tons of quotes in the vibes of "YAAY! WE'RE GONNA PLAY SOMETHING FUN!" and refers to whoever killed her as "mean bullies'."
  • The Cutie: A cute little girl with a small stature and an extremely cute pink outfit.Even moreso in Japan, where her splash art seems to be drawn in an anime style moreso than other anime-inspired heroes.
  • Political Hostage: Technically, she's only in Norman because Veda needs something to ensure their alliance together. Still, Alice is genuinely treated well by Norman, and Thane knows better than to wreck their alliance.
  • Skill Gate Characters: She's most likely the baby's 'mage type support', to teach you what to do as a mage that supports and controls your enemies.
  • Support Party Member: Alice isn't going to take damage or deal destructive magic. But she sure as hell will disrupt whatever you're planning from afar for her friends' sake.

"Aah, that's a good boy!"
Voiced by: Ashley Adler (EN), Fumiko Orikasa (JP)
Faction: Afata
Honor of Kings counterpart: Donghuang Taiyi/Eclipse

Arum was once a normal girl from the Federation of Free, until her coming-of-age birthday, when she learned that a powerful but hideous and evil man planned to marry her and her father was helpless to stop her. Arum fled her home and straight to Afata, braving the wilderness where she encountered the mystical lion named Leo. He offered her a path of power and freedom: to become the Lion Priestess. On that day, Arum made up her mind; she would embrace the position of Lion Priestess and join Leo in the journey to the Kingdom of Afata under the leadership of Tel'Annas, who greeted her warmly.

Arum is a Support/Tank hero who excels in disrupting the flow of the enemy as well as picking off straggling heroes.

  • Her passive is Ravenous Beasts. On using her first skill, Arum gains spirit beasts that circle around her and deal HP-percentage damage to the enemy that touches them, healing Arum at the same time.
  • Her first skill is Lion Tamer. Arum roars and deals magical damage to surrounding enemies, summoning spirit beasts to assist her with her passive. She can have up to three spirit beasts at the same time.
  • Her second skill is Uncaged. Arum sends out Leo to pounce on the enemy, deals damage, and slows down all caught in the pounce area. This can only be used when Arum has at least one spirit beast summoned. Leo will pounce even more if Arum has more beasts. Leo's second pounce slows the enemy even more, while the third pounce stuns the enemy.
  • Her ultimate is Snare. Arum channels, staying in her place, as Leo grabs onto the enemy and puts them in place, damaging them over time for a considerable time. During this time, both Arum and her victim share a link; when one takes damage from another source, the other will take damage as well. If Arum has no spirit beasts when casting the ability, she will immediately store 3 spirit beasts.

  • A Birthday, Not a Break: Arum's coming-of-age birthday is the day she fled from her home in terror rather than marry a hideous man against her will.
  • Adaptational Heroism: Compared to the eerie and merciless Donghuang Taiyi who'd advocate certain atrocities for the sake of more knowledge, Arum is a stalwart defender of Afata.
  • Adaptational Personality Change: In the default English voice, Arum is a lot more outgoing and chipper. However, when you turn the voice into Japanese, Arum's personality and voice change into a more dignified one.
  • The Beastmaster: She tames the mystical lion Leo, who usually doesn't materialize physically but will answer Arum's call... but only as long as she has a spirit beast nearby.
  • Cat Girl: The pact with Leo made her gain feline ears on her models (in the artwork, it's instead pointy elven ears) and a lion tail. For the most part, that's about it. Arum does not have the typical fangs and scratchy nails.
  • Runaway Fiancé: Arum ran away from a possible doomed marriage that her father couldn't protect her from, and from the look of it, the man that caught her fancy was Obviously Evil.
  • Stone Wall: Arum generally doesn't deal much damage, and she doesn't have any gap closers. But she's just somehow naturally tough with tons of HP, regenerating it just by sticking close to the enemy.
  • Taking You with Me: If someone is caught in Arum's ultimate, they take damage just as Arum takes her own damage. This means, the enemy can die while their allies beat up Arum to let go, but it wouldn't take long for Arum to join her target in respawn timer. Vice versa if it's Arum who dies first while holding her target.

    Aya, Fluffy Voice
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_aya_350x441.png
"The singer with the sweetest voice has arrived! Lala lalalala la la~"
Voiced by:
Faction: Afata
Honor of Kings counterpart: Yao/Yaria

The World Tree is a structure in Afata that upheld all lives. Occasionally, it automatically gave birth to a life force, becoming a newborn creature with gift of magic. There are two creatures born this way, the first one was Aya (the second one was Helen). After she was born, she ended up in Elbourne Woods, where both Eland'orr and Krixi decided to adopt and train her. Aya quickly discovered her talent in singing and that she possessed a magical and soothing voice. To capitalize on this, she decided to become an Idol Singer and her first contest was a resounding success, albeit because Krixi threatened everyone to attend her concert at first, but Aya truly became someone loved for her soothing music. However, one by one, her close friends became tangled with their respective duties; Krixi became more serious in taking the role of the guardian of the forests, Eland'orr had to depart to atone for breaking the Soul Lamp. They promised they will still visit Aya time to time. So, for the time being, Aya continues her activities to sing and soothe the hearts of people around her while also improving her own magical power.

Aya is a Support hero who latches herself into an allied hero and giving them buffs, while using them as a platform to cast her skills.

  • Her passive is Squirrel Spirit. If Aya's HP drops below 40%, she temporarily turns into a miniature version of herself. She can't attack, but is untargetable and gain a new skillset which lets her end the spirit form period or dash a short distance. This lets her escape unharmed.
  • Her first skill is Sound Breaker. Aya fires an energy circle that grows wider, dealing damage to everyone in the path and revealing them. When the circle reaches the end of the traveling line, it explodes and deals the same amount of damage and slowing the enemies down.
  • Her second skill is Idol Love. Aya selects an ally and attaches herself to them, becoming untargetable. She gives her attached hero a temporary shield, with squishy classes (Assassin, Mage or Archer) getting more shield. She can recast this to her attached ally to give them more shield, recasting to an area outside (or using the 'Escape' button that replaces the 'Recall' button when this state is active) will have her detach from the ally with an extremely short cooldown (the actual cooldown is applied when the attached ally is instead killed). During this state, Aya can cast her other skills using her attached ally as a platform. When she casts hero spells like Roar, Purify, Sprint and Enfeeble during this state, the effects will be transferred to her ally.
  • Her ultimate is Forest Song. Aya creates a circle that deals damage over time and lasts for awhile. Enemies that stay in the circle for too long is temporarily polymorphed into a forest critter. If Aya is attaching herself to an allied hero, said hero gains a significant movement speed boost.

  • Adaptational Jerkass: If there's one thing that Yao/Yaria doesn't have, it's being an immature Bratty Half-Pint like Aya.
  • Bratty Half-Pint: Aya decidedly is the more immature spawn of the World Tree (compared to Helen who wised up after the death of Peura). She gets along better with Krixi if they're allies, but if they meet as enemies, she shows a bratty, rebellious side, either with Ignoring by Singing or threatening to report to Eland'orr that she's being bullied.
  • Dub Name Change: In the Japanese server, she's instead called "Yana".
  • Forced Transformation: Anyone staying in her ultimate's circle is going to get themselves turned into forest critter.
  • Idol Singer: She can sing really good and she knows just how to channel it.
  • Ignoring by Singing: If she meets Krixi as an enemy, Aya then tries to ignore her warnings by singing. With a magical megaphone at hand, it's easy enough.
"I won't listen! I WON'T LISTEN! LA LA LA LA LAAA!!"
  • Loud of War: She weaponizes her music by using a megaphone to channel her magic and make her voice louder, for the good of her allies, and the bad of her enemies.
  • Love Triangle: One thing she shares with Krixi is that she also looks up to and loves Eland'orr. Too bad he's busy with more pressing matters.
  • Little Bit Beastly: She's a squirrel girl, with bushy squirrel tail.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: After taking a number of damage, Aya can turn invincible while unable to attack at all, and gaining extra speed. There's only one reason for doing this: The battle is going to her favor, so it's time to run away.
  • Shoulder Teammate: Following examples by Empath and Yuumi, Aya is the hero who makes a selected ally her own host where she can use her skills from there, while buffing said ally.

"I'm starving!"
Voiced by:
Faction: Lokheim
Honor of Kings counterpart: Zhong Kui/Voidcaller

An executioner of souls. Grakk shackles souls and devours them to torture them, at the cost of being unable to eat anything else other than that. With the help of some people in Lokheim, he had enjoyed a set of meals during times of peace, but as the war broke out, Maloch offered him a neverending feast if he'll help him. Grakk then directs his sight to consume every soul he sees.

Grakk is a Tank/Support hero who drags heroes to his side and keeps them there for a world of pain.

  • His passive is Blood Ritual. If Grakk gets damaged for more than 10% of his HP in one hit, he lets out a small explosion, damaging everyone. If he dies, Grakk then incurs an even bigger explosion after a 3-second delay.
  • His first skill is Earthquake. Grakk stomps the ground, damaging everyone near him and slowing them. The effects are doubled if they're closer to him.
  • His second skill is Devil's Chain. Grakk launches a chain hook that grabs the first enemy it touches and drags them next to him. Passively, Grakk gains max HP for every kill or assist he scores.
  • His ultimate is World Devourer. After a delay, Grakk opens his belly and unleashes a vortex that sucks those in front of him, dealing damage and rendering them immobile as they're pulled slowly to him, and giving him a shield if it hits someone. This move is channeled and can be interrupted.

  • Adaptational Villainy: Grakk is a monster residing in Lokheim, while Zhong Kui is just an neutral guardian of order in Chang'an.
  • The Executioner: His job is to execute and torture souls, and by residing in Lokheim, he's obviously bad news.
  • Expy: He's the token 'long range chain hook dragger' of Arena of Valor, in a similar vein to Pudge and Blitzcrank.
  • Stout Strength: He's fat and powerful enough to drag anyone that his hook touches. Yes, even a hulking centaur like Baldum. Additionally, if he's given enough kills or assists, Grakk gets so obese with HP that he's also incredibly tough to kill in a normal manner.
  • Taking You with Me: If you manage to kill Grakk, get the hell away from his corpse temporarily. He'll explode and do considerable damage.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: It's imperative to hide behind your creeps/minions to avoid getting dragged next to Grakk. And for a bonus, Grakk also has the obligatory quote of "GET OVER HERE!"

(Helen) "Here I vow, master. Your will will be carried on!"
Voiced by: Risa Mei (Helen, EN), Aya Uchida (Peura, JP)
Faction: Afata
Honor of Kings counterpart: Cai Wenji/Cai Yan/Little Lute

Peura is one of the tribal priests and chief of faeries of Afata, taking the form of a deer-like centaur, a slightly different form of the legendary centaur Baldum. As a good friend of Tel'Annas, she dedicated herself to the defense of Afata and the Forests of Shadow. At one point, she encountered Veda's Lauriel seeking shelter after her domain was hijacked by Aleister, and he coveted her compact Fountain of Light. For protection, Lauriel handed the fountain to Peura, who, after being cornered by Aleister, decided to drink it herself to protect it, granting her healing power and helping Lauriel recover, and together they drove away Aleister. Despite her help, Peura declined Lauriel's offer to come to Veda, but she would always welcome the allies of the Temple of Light.

Peura would come to encounter Veera during another Lokheim assault, and this time, luck was not on her side. Veera's dark magic overpowered Peura and inflicted a fatal wound on the Faerie Guardian. In her last breaths, Peura inherited her will and powers towards her apprentice, Helen, the last fairy born in the World Tree before the second invasion of Lokheim. She's a little mischievous and didn't seem to have the makings of a proper, dutiful guardian of Afata, but her failure to spot Veera in time cost Peura's life, and she blamed herself for this. Thus, she takes on the position of the Guardian of the Glade to succeed Peura and starts taking a less mischievous approach in her personality to ensure the tragedy will never be repeated again.

Peura (and later Helen) is a stalwart Support hero, giving buffs and healing to her allies in a mass radius while debuffing her enemies.

  • Her passive is Riposte (Blessing for Helen). Peura drains her attacker's movement speed if she's being attacked, while also gaining a temporary boost to regeneration. This passive has a cooldown of 10 seconds.
  • Her first skill is Healing Light (Healing Spirit for Helen). Peura gains a boost of speed while allies nearby get healed over time. On the other hand, the enemies nearby also gets inflicted with magic damage over time and suffer loss of movement speed. Only Peura can damage enemies in this way. The damage is lost on Helen.
  • Her second skill is Forest Sentry (Dance of Flowers for Helen). Peura summons a spirit owl that if it hits an enemy, will deal damage, stun them and bounce off to other nearby enemies. The owl can only bounce on the same target twice.
  • Her ultimate is Nature's Rally (Blooming Sea of Flowers for Helen). Peura creates an immense protection aura around her, shielding friends from a considerable amount of damage. Enemies nearby will take damage over time and those who stays too long will be momentarily stunned. Helen's version replaces the damage and stun effect with greater healing rate for her allies, and those with below 40% HP receive extra shields.

  • Aerith and Bob: Either Peura or Payna are rather outlandish names. However, Helen is a pretty common name.
  • Dub Name Change: On certain other servers, Peura's instead called Payna.
  • Expy: Helen, being a young nature-based healer girl that rides on a crescent-like platform, immediately got people comparing her with Floryn and Chang'e from Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. But considering who made this game, it's more likely that Helen is drawing closer to Peura's counterpart in Honor of Kings, Cai Wenji, especially the 'young girl' part (except Helen doesn't have the body of a baby/toddler girl).
  • Healing Hands: One of the chief healers in the game. Peura gained immense healing abilities after she drank off the Fountain of Light out of desperation. Helen inherits those healing skills from Peura.
  • Killed Off for Real: Peura is dead. Killed by Veera. While Helen would carry on her kit, the centaur-deer lady has passed away and more likely never come back. The best she could afford was to transform into Helen's floating seat and allow her to use her powers, but as a living person, she's still dead.
  • Our Centaurs Are Different: Peura wouldn't call herself a centaur (the honor belonged to Baldum), but she still takes the form of a half-woman, half-deer.
  • The Red Mage: Peura balances out between having offensive and disruptive capabilities and healing her friends. Averted with Helen, where her skills gears more into the defensive/healing side and the only manner of offensive she has is just her second skill. This is actually closer to their Honor of Kings counterpart.

    Rouie, Light of Veda
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_rouie_350x441.jpg
"Um, hi everyone... My name is Rouie..."
Voiced by:
Faction: Light-Chasers
Honor of Kings counterpart: Da Qiao/Stormy

Rouie is a girl with a Mysterious Past, with most stories saying she just materialized out of nowhere at the foot of Mt. Orphean. Picked up and adopted on a whim by Ilumia, Rouie was instantly promoted to a priestess, the youngest of all despite the other gods looking down at her. Eager to learn and lessen the hatred, Rouie was sent to learn under Xeniel, but she was withdrawn and shy, being scared to talk with people, and ended up using her power to transport people to the wrong places. However, she eventually became adaptable to learning in unorthodox ways and started to become braver and fit more into the world of Athanor. For her efforts, Rouie is given a place in the Light Chasers squadron along with Laville, Zata, and Teeri.

Rouie is a pure Support hero with minimal offensive options but possesses tremendous buffs and support skills to help relocate her allies.

  • Her passive is Floating Light. Rouie tethers herself to the nearest hero, increasing their movement speed together with hers.
  • Her first skill is Holy Light, her only offensive skill. It has two stages:
    • In the first stage, Rouie draws a rectangle on a location, which stays in place and continuously damages those who stay there and also silences them.
    • In the second stage, Rouie summons a pair of wings as a projectile that damages anyone who gets touched with it and knocks them aside. The areas where the wings pass will also grant a movement speed bonus for friendly units.
  • Her second skill is Void Portal. Rouie summons a portal that stays in place for 4 seconds, at which point any allied units will be immediately recalled back to base, instantly recovering all HP and temporarily increasing their movement speed.
  • Her ultimate is Sacred Ground. Rouie summons a circle of light that's continuously bathed in light and deals damage on impact. The circle stays for a good amount of time, and during this time, any allied hero has the choice to channel a bit, and when they do, they will instantly teleport to the circle that Rouie created, acting as reinforcements for her. They also gain bonus attack speed after a successful teleport.

  • Combo: Her two support skills are devastating when used in succession: Find a hero (or two to four) who's in critical health, send them back to base with Void Portal. Then immediately call them back with Sacred Ground
  • Gondor Calls for Aid: Or 'Rouie Calls For Aid'. Her ultimate allows any of her allies to perform Big Damn Heroes moments by teleporting directly onto her area and joining the fight.
  • Light Is Good: As a member of Veda, she's also using Holy Light. Her innocence, however, makes her quite a trustworthy person and one of the icons of good people within Veda, beating out even Lauriel due to her innate innocence as a child.
  • Morality Pet: She's the only one that can draw out the goodness within Ilumia, making her less of a bitch than she usually is. Ilumia goes out of her way to adopt her and teach her, shielding her from the harsh words of other gods in Veda.
  • Mysterious Past: Nobody knows where she actually came from. They just believed that she popped up on the foot of Mt. Orphean and then called it a day.
  • Shrinking Violet: She's withdrawn and shy and prefers to be alone; she's generally afraid of communicating with others.
  • Support Party Member: One of the heroes who is far more geared toward helping others than any other hero. Rouie only has her first skill at direct offense, the rest are relocation skills. It's still pretty vital to her success.

    Tee Mee, the Stalwart Twins
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aov_teemee_350x441.jpg
(Mee) "You think anyone's using this?" (Tee) "Let's try it on!"
Voiced by: Yuka Iguchi & Kana Asumi (JP)
Faction: Afata
Honor of Kings counterpart: Taiyi Zhenren

Twin raccoon siblings Tee and Mee were otherwise harmless talking animals living in a carefree manner within Afata. But war reached out to their region and it became harder to gather foods and they're given jobs to clean up the battlefield in exchange of foods, but that didn't bring down their optimism. Eventually, when the humans and the Veda faction joined the war against Lokheim, Tee and Mee discovered a stray armor made by Max of the Free Federation. The armor was engraved with the rune of resurrection by Veda and strangely, it fit the two raccoons when Mee stood on Tee's shoulders. They scavenged the armor and wore it during a day in job, in which the Lokheim suddenly attacked the clean-up crews. Trying to survive, Mee acted as a strategist to guide Tee's movement and they used every tools available from the armor to stand their ground until the Lokheim army finally retreated. Eventually, the higher ups of Afata heard the tale and praised them as brave soldiers. They're promoted into one of the main fighters of Afata. Now, they fight together as one to protect Afata and reach the stars, as TeeMee.

TeeMee is a Support/Tank hero who runs to the battlefield charging a 'secret weapon' to disrupt the enemy from the inside while also able to bring their allies from the brink of death when things go south.

  • Their passive is Scavenge. TeeMee scavenges gold produced by killing non-hero enemies. They and nearby allies get a 20% increase of gold obtained this way.
  • Their first skill is Pooty Poots. Tee starts to panic as he increases his movement speed temporarily while gaining flat physical and magical defense. On command or after the duration ends, Tee unleashes his secret weapon that panicked him: A big, stinky fart that damages and stuns nearby enemies. The cooldown of the skill is reduced if Tee manages to fart on an enemy hero. The longer Tee holds out his fart, the greater the damage, stun and cooldown reduction.
  • Their second skill is Chain Lance. Mee shoots out the chain attached to the lance on his armor. The first enemy hit will take damage, be stunned, and then TeeMee will launch themselves to the target. This skill can also hit an ally, in which TeeMee will just jump to their allies, no damages or stuns done.
  • Their ultimate is Being a Bro. TeeMee utilizes the rune of resurrection to protect themselves as well as a nearby hero with lowest health. In a few seconds, those affected with the rune will automatically resurrect themselves on the spot with a portion of their HP restored, damaging and slowing nearby enemies in the same time. TeeMee can still use this skill even under crowd control effects.

  • Auto-Revive: TeeMee is the hero with a classic 'revive other allies on death' in a similar manner to Zilean, Khepri and Kharazim. However, this also affects TeeMee themselves, so the enemy has to contend with two heroes respawning immediately just after they killed them.
  • Big Eater: It's implied that Tee eats so much, sometimes eating a weird type of food that his stomach gets all achey, then he farts dangerous gas a lot.
  • Fartillery: TeeMee's main crowd control manner is to fart on the enemies general direction. It's surprisingly deadly if Tee has held out his fart long enough.
  • Fat and Skinny: Tee is the fat brother whereas Mee is the skinny one, so he gets to be the one who rides his brother.
  • Killer Rabbit: Downplayed. They're not carries, they're supports. But the sight of a panicking pair of cute raccoons should bring dread to a group of enemies, in case they get close to fart so massively they stun their oppositions, ready for TeeMee's team to wreck the enemy.
  • Rascally Raccoon: They may be cute and carefree, but in terms of rascal manners, they got it good. Why did they decide to steal an armor with Veda runes in it for no apparent reason? Though it worked out in the end.
  • Sibling Team: Tee and Mee are brothers. And they fight together for reasons.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Chain Lance is the inversion of Grakk's Devil Chain; TeeMee gets themselves to the enemy rather than themselves. For balance's sake, their range is much shorter.
