Yeah the fact that Simon's voice actor played Natsu and Kamina's was Laxus was pointed out somewhere on the Fairy Tail trope page.
It's actually pretty funny.
Had no idea Mayl was played by Navi' voice actress...though now I can totally hear it.
Also, what is the official spelling of her name: Meiru (from the japanese dub) Mayl (from the english translation of the games) or Maylu...which is probably the least likely, but I'm putting it up there anyway.
One Strip! One Strip!"Meiru" uses katakana, but even then since the original game is so Japanese it's more likely to be plain "Meiru" instead of any of the transliterations.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaA number of the character's names are electronic-related puns in the Japanese version (EX: Lan and Hub originally being Netto and Saito while Chaud's original name of Enzan means "computing) so her's is one for "mail" hence her English name just being Mayl. I think the anime dub just added the u because they thought it would be weird for a girl to have a name that sounded like "male" when spoken aloud.
Anyway, on the subject of the Japanese voices the anime actually had a lot of well-known voice actors on it, even some who are big now but weren't back then like Hiroshi Kamiya, Daisuke Ono, Ami Koshimizu, as well as vets like Takehito Koyasu, Ryūsei Nakao, and even Masako Nozawa, Goku herself.

My Megaman and MegaTen liveblogsFair enough. I never considered that.
One Strip! One Strip!Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 2:
The episode is just as good as the first one, if not okay. Introduced the plant-loving girl Saloma/Sal, fortune teller Miyu as well as the new villains Electel Hakushaku/Count Zap and his Navi Elec Man.EXE .
It mentioned the World Three, expected to be the resident Nebulous Evil Organization of the anime. The op showed that Hinoken/Mr.Match, Electel and more two characters are members of the World Three. The leader of the organization looks like Dr. Wily, maybe an Alternate Self?
Also, LOL to Dekao/Dex and Masa. That moment with the cat robot is funny.
For the voice actors:
- While I'm watching the japanese version, its worth mentioning that Dekao's english voice actor did Eddy. Which is fitting for a guy like Dekao.
- Saloma's voice actress (Omi Minami) did Ruri Hoshino. Like Nadesico, Rockman.EXE (title series) /Megaman NT Warrior is from Xebec. Minami is also Euphemia and Xiaomu.
- Elec Man.EXE's voice actor is Chihiro Suzuki... Luke.
- But the most surprising one is Electel's voice actor is Kenta Miyake... MOHAMMED AVDOL? Yeah, before voicing a fire-elemental stand user, he voiced a lightning-elemental Navi Operator. Not to mention that Jun Hashimoto, which sing the OP, also sung the openings from the Part 3 of the 2014 Jo Jo anime.
Well, I'm looking forward for the next episode.
Edit:
Rock Man.EXE / Megaman NT Warrior Episode 3:
The episode was funny. For the traps in Yaito/Yai's House to the Monster of the Week. Color Man.EXE / Wacko Man.EXE is pretty funny, but I don't understand both names. I mean, there was a "Clown Man" in Mega Man 8.
Glyde.EXE must be the only Navi which is inspired by a character from the Mega Man Legends series rather than the "classic" series. The aforementioned Color Man.EXE also gets a special mention here, as he is the one of the first Navis to be not modeled after a classic Robot Master (And no, he is not Clown Man!).
The new villain Madoi/Maddy is very beautiful. I think she fits the sexy villain to Yaito's (and maybe Meiru's) cute heroine. Then again, most female villains are vain.
For the voice actors:
- One for the english dub, but Yaito's voice actress (Jocelyne Loewen) did Kagura. Yes, that Kagura.
- Another one. Glyde.EXE (Ted Cole) is Wufei, Leon and Boss.
- Going back to the japanese version, Madoi's voice actress Junko Noda did Zakuro Fujiwara in the same year (Both Rock Man.EXE and Tokyo Mew Mew had animes in 2002). Nowadays Noda is HuGtto! Pretty Cure's Hariham Harry. Even more surprising, Madoi's voice actress eventually did a character in the X series which is also a bad guy. it's Lumine for those that don't understood.
- Color Man.EXE's voice actor, Yuji Ueda, is no stranger to Xebec animes. Just look to Akito Tenkawa and Karl Lichten Shubaltz.
The next episode is the fourth one. Can't wait to watch.

Strike Laser Claw!!Welp, I myself have finished Beast +, and with it the Battle Network anime as a whole:
- The anime switched to a ten-minute short format, which it would keep throughout the Star Force anime's entire run, but the other big change is that there's a new character designer/chief animation director, Shingo Adachi of future Sword Art Online fame. He was in charge of a smattering of episodes in the first season, then only helmed one episode of Axess and two in Stream but they were always some of the better-looking ones. The animation gets a lot more dynamic, especially in the three episodes Adachi worked on himself (the Judgeman episode, the one where Bubbleman tries futilely to retrieve a lost "Minibot", and the final episode), and the cast looks noticeably more "cute"; I do like the designs more than the previous character designer's, which I often thought looked chubby and small-faced.
- Half the time I do appreciate the relatively snappier pace of the short format, the other half I wish the episodes were full length to flesh out the material more. Like the reveal that Zero's actually a virus instead of a Navi and abandons the Professor due to his callousness doesn't have much weight since it's not built up all that much. Same goes for his full face-turn and sacrifice later on in the season.
- Only about a third of the show has been translated, but I didn't have too much trouble understanding the rest of it. The plots are short and easy enough to grasp and I'd say at worst I could understand about 60% of the dialogue and could make out a rough idea of the rest based on the vocabulary I could recognize.
- Megaman used the Falzar Beast Out and Crosses a lot in Beast +, much more than the Gregar ones (Elec Cross is the only one from that version). Must be to make up for how much Falzar got shafted in Beast.
- Speaking of Crosses, they're basically just introduced as "Yeah, we can do this now."
- The final arc doesn't adapt anything from the GBA games, but rather a cellphone game so I couldn't really use any preexisting knowledge to plug the gaps. Most of it wasn't too hard to grasp though, especially since Cache didn't seem to have much in the way of motivation. Still, it was definitely a place where I would've appreciated some subtitles, but oh well.
- The final two episodes were really trippy. Cache basically pulls an Assimilation Plot and Lan gets trapped in a Lotus-Eater Machine where PETs and Navis don't exist and everyone has these odd things called "cellphones" instead. Up until he starts realizing that something's wrong the episode feels like a homage to the early episodes of the anime where there was a greater emphasis on Lan going to school and hanging out with his friends before the Net Saviors came into the picture, and once he does the simulation starts breaking down and turning hostile. It reminds me of a fanfic I read long, long ago that did something very similar with Chaud.
- Then in the very last episode has Cache outright absorb Lan without bothering with the simulation then all people and data in the world. Lots of Say My Name ensues until cache data of Trill frees the two (comes and goes very quickly, and it's unclear if Cache is somehow pulling data from Beyondard or not), Lan reappears in SciLab Cross Fused, Cache tries attacking him with demented, giggling clones of his friends and family, before weakening thanks to everyone else in the cast he's absorbed trying to break free so that Lan can finish him off for good.
- It does rub me the wrong way a bit that in the final episode of the series that had run for four years at that point, one titled "Lan + Megaman", that Megaman himself just kinda sits out the finale. They could've easily done that sequence with Megaman instead of R-Megaman. The logical conclusion of the original sin of Cross Fusion.
Anyway, that's a wrap! While I am still a little baffled by some of the directions the writers did and didn't take the setting and characters in I did enjoy revisiting this beast after all these years. It's not the best long-running children's anime, far from it, but I do still have a soft spot for it since I love the Battle Network games and this was my gateway to watching anime as a whole aside from the usual Pokemon and Dragon Ball childhood staples. Pity about Beast +'s translations being incomplete, but apparently the group that finally finished Stream last year is currently, albeit at a slow pace since they're starting from the beginning which had already been translated. Hopefully that'll be finished someday. Perhaps I'll watch the Star Force anime next.
My Megaman and MegaTen liveblogsHey, no spoilers! Albeit I'm only interested in watching the first season of the anime.
And speaking of that...
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 4:
Pretty nice too. The new character Yamitaro Higure/Mr. Higsby seems interesting. I've heard in a video that he is also Masa's (that fish guy) romantic rival. Also, Higure seems to be also interested in Mariko/Ms. Mari (the teacher). The rest of the episode was good too, and Netto/Lan trying to save his friends from Number Man.EXE by trying to resolve the three passwords is one of my favorite parts.
Well, first it was Color Man.Wacko Man.EXE and now it's Number Man.EXE. By that now we have two Net Navis not inspired in the original games' Robot Masters.
It's Voice actor time!
- Higure and Number Man.EXE share the same voice actor in the original anime. Meanwhile, in the english dub, Higure is voiced by Richard Newman (M.Bison (dictator), Woodman from the 1994 cartoon) while Number Man.EXE is voiced by Samuel Vincent (Athrun Zala, Double-D).
- About Mariko, her original voice actress Noriko Hidaka did Noriko and Kikyo. Meanwhile, her english dub actress Janyse Jaud did Sarah and Kagura. Yes, Mariko is voiced by not one, but two Inuyasha anti-villainesses.
Now that I've ended the fourth episode, the next is number 5!
Strike Laser Claw!!Wow, Megaman 11... looks good? This has been quite a shock.
Though, I'm skeptical of the Double Gear gimmick.
- is every level infused with some kind of challenge where Double Gear/time bending is necessary?
- Wily had time manipulation down when he was younger and only remembered it now?
- I'm assuming Wily's robots have some kind of time travel software now, since Light needed to give Megaman the Double Gear in response

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Going off of Mega Man lore, Wily's even had Time Stands Still down to a science before now with Flash Man, who... I think according to the comics is an improved version of Time Man, who could slow time himself? And he's hijacked a working time machine from a museum before, so...
Though from the sounds of things Double Gear is more like super speed than time manipulation, letting robots operate beyond what their bodies are physically capable of handling.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaYeah Megaman is not slowing down time. He is going so fast everything seems slow.

Kinda reminds me the various accelerator-based Cyborgs.
Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 5
It was decent albeit my reaction was positive at best. It was nice to see the World Three members (Hinoken/Mr.Match, Electel Hakushaku/Count Zap, Madoi/Maddy) together. Masa-san was pretty funny and somewhat serious with his fish and calcium jokes.
I liked the battle with Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE against the Electric Jellyfish virus. But aside of that, I've found another original (read:not based by any Robot Master in the original series) Net Navi: Shark Man.EXE. And no, the Mega Man DOS games doesn't count, they're pretty much Fanon Discontinuity to me.
I'm guessing that Shark Man.EXE's operator is Masa, given that Shark Man.EXE is a shark-like Net Navi, and Masa is a fisherman obsessed with fish. Not to mention that Rock Man.EXE only won due to a electric-sword chip given by someone which emblem is a fish skeleton.
Now to the voice actors.
- Masa's japanese voice actor, is Jin Horikawa (Bt'x, Rob Herman and Judgeman).
- Shark Man.EXE's voice actor did Zeke/Sieg.
I'm not that surprised, given that both Zoids (the first two animes) and Rock Man.EXE shares the same studio. Even more funny considering that Zoids: New Century was also dubbed by The Ocean Group.
Tomorrow I'm watching Episode 6.
Strike Laser Claw!!This actually reminds me a bit of Jojos Bizarre Adventure. Specifically, about Star Platinum's Super-Speed and its relation to Time Stands Still. Essentially, Star Platinum's Super Speed at its height is so fast that time can't keep up, allowing Jotaro to effectively stop time with it. The reason DIO's Stand The World can do the same thing is implied to be because The World is actually copying the Stand abilities of the Joestar family's Stands. Hence why it also has a power similar to Joseph's Hermit Purple.

Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's not Time Travel per se, though Wily has used that before, it's either speeding you up so everything looks slow or slowing the enemy down so you're relatively faster.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Yeah, Double Gear is basically overclocking. It doesn't even necessarily translate to the Robot Masters simply being faster; Block Man uses it to turn into a giant golem. I assume the other Robot Masters will have other creative ways to use that power as well.
To be quite blunt, I don't really care about the story implications of it, because it's Mega Man. Outside of maybe the Zero series or Legends the plot isn't really the selling point. Even though this game will have a little more emphasis on it, Capcom stated it isn't going to be the main focus anyways. Best not to think too hard about it :p
I'm just happy we have a new Mega Man game that actually looks great; it took until the second trailer, but I'm pretty excited for it now.

When I play the game, everytime I use the Double Gear System I am going to scream "ZA WARUDO!"
"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Just make sure you follow it up with "WRYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!" Anything else would do it a disservice.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundYou can't really call it Za Warudo if you're just slowing down time.
That and if Mega Man actually move visibly faster, it'd be hard for players to control
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaI would rather only use the WRYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! after finishing a boss with the Double Gear System... Or if there is a weapon which allows Megaman to crush the opponent with a large heavy object.
I know it would be far more appropriate for something like the Time Stopper or the Dark Hold but still, it's just for the fun of it.

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man NT Warrior Episode 6.
Wow, just wow. I've liked the episode, mostly because of the debut of Ice Man.EXE. With that, we have four Net Navis inspired by the original Robot Masters (Fire Man.EXE / Torch Man.EXE, Ice Man.EXE, Elec Man.EXE and Guts Man.EXE). It was also heartwarming: Unlike the other three villains, Ice Man.EXE's operator is not evil, just conflicted - Tohru / Tory was doing evil things because he was forced to do (his dad was held hostage). I also liked the father-son moment between Tohru and his dad.
Not to mention, in the end, Netto / Lan befriended Tohru, while Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE befriended Ice Man.EXE. Netto's team of friends are now five (Netto, Meiru, Dekao, Yaito and now Tohru) while Rock Man.EXE gained another ally and now he have four (Roll.EXE, Guts Man.EXE, Glyde.EXE and Ice Man.EXE).
This episode also showed how the World Three can do everything for their sinister intentions, including kidnapping of family members. Poor Tohru... As far as i know I remember that Ice Man.EXE's operator in the games was Dr. Hikawa rather than his son. Granted I didn't played the games but it's always good to sometimes sneak at the internet.
Voice actor time:
- Ice Man.EXE shares the same voice actor with Madoi/Maddy (Junko Noda). Which explain why Madoi and her Color Man.EXE / Wacko Man.EXE is the "Monster of the Week" alongside Ice Man.EXE.
- Tohru Hikawa/Tory Froid's voice actress is Kumiko Watanabe, which also did Moonbay, Shippo, Ecco and Katejina. Interesting, Tohru's voice actress also did Tomoki Himi, a young boy which also have a ice-themed artificial intelligence (Chakkumon and later, Korikkakumon). Albeit Tomoki's artificial intelligences are actually his "transformations". Even more interesting, Digimon Frontier's Human/Beast Spirit Evolution predates Battle Network's Cross Fusion(well, anime wise at least).
Mega Man's updated Final Smash in Smash Ultimate has added Protoman and Bass.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."And no Mega Man ZX love feelsbadman.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! To be fair, Mega Man ZX was Inafune's love child. Capcom would not want to give him any credit.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...I don't know if Capcom is that spiteful.
Hell, while making Mighty No. 9 Inafune said he didn't want people mouthing off Capcom over it.
If anything, the fans have become far more spiteful of Inafune than Capcom, even if you could argue they cancelled Legends 3 because they'd gotten rid of him.
One Strip! One Strip!
Not new here, but in homage to the arrival of Mega Man 11, I've started to watch MegaMan NT Warrior.
The first episode was good and I liked the battle of Rock Man.EXE / Mega Man.EXE vs Fire Man.EXE / Torch Man.EXE. It remined me of Video Game/{{Pokémon}} (Internet-like Mons Battling) and Digimon Adventure (Uhh? Digital is something involved to the internet, right?).
Aside of that, I liked Netto/Lan. He reminded me of Naruto, likely because of his hair, bandanna, personality and Cross-Dressing Voices. (Too bad he is NOT voiced by Junko Takeuchi).
Speaking of voice actors...
Tomorrow I'm looking forward to the second episode.
