    Friendships
  • Friendships can also qualify as these, whenever they're not heartwarming. note
    • Samus uses her ability to Be the Ball to get a Perfect Strike at Ten Pin Bowling. Seems even bounty hunters have their hobbies.
    • Boba Fett does a dance number from Cabaret, top hat and all. Not a display you'd expect from a Proud Warrior Race Bounty Hunter.
    • Akuma, the Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy, uses his punches to pop balloons, just because he can. And when a whole bunch of them appears grouped together, he uses the Raging Demon to pop them all. And then gives an OOC giggle afterwards. Not So Above It All, are you, Akuma?
    • Rogue recalls the abilities of other mutants she's absorbed in the past to pose for magazine cover photos with cheesy captions depending on which mutant ability she's using: for Wolverine, it's "Stay Sharp, Kiddos!": for Sunfire, it's "The X-Men Are Hot Stuff!": and for Cyclops, it's "Eyes Open, Sugah!"
    • Zangief does That Russian Squat Dance, because why not? And his back-up dancers join him!
    • Leonardo uses his katanas to cut up a pizza he just threw in the air and catch it on a plate.
    • Donatello, being a Gadgeteer Genius, uses a mask and a welding torch to create a metal flower with sparklers and a sign that reads "TMNT 4EVER".
    • Michelangelo skates up and down a half-pipe, doing poses on his skateboard.
    • Raphael towers over, presumably, the opponent, then starts stabbing away with his sais... and then we find that he's just making a kebab.
    • Zitz puts on a top hat and cane, and sings "Hello My Baby", in the style of Michigan J. Frog.
    • Yoshi plays with a pop-up book about his own adventures.
    • Riptor plays with a big squeaky rubber steak, like a dog.
    • Felicia plays with a ball of yarn.
    • Taokaka beckons to a bunch of other Kaka, then they play a game of "Follow The Leader", with Taokaka changing dance moves repeatedly, unaware that the other Kaka are copying her.
    • Kratos, in a surprising moment of childishness (and not the psychopathic variety), extends the chains of his Blades of Chaos to a sizeable length, then joins the blades at the center, and uses his chains as skipping ropes.
    • Bomberman pulls out a Big, Bulky Bomb, then trips and throws the bomb in the air. He covers himself when the bomb comes down... only to then find out that the bomb is actually a dud full of confetti, sweets, and gifts, much to his joy.
    • Dig Dug locates a treasure chest via "X" Marks the Spot and digs it up with his jackhammer.
    • Shadow, the dark and edgy 90sAntiHero in hedgehog form, pulls out a Chaos Emerald, and does an Alas, Poor Yorick pose with it, then says, "To save the earth or not to save the earth, that is the question." Yes, Shadow is an actor as well as an edgelord.
    • Mario looks towards the sky, ready for action... and then a bouncy castle lands in front of him, and he ditches all seriousness in favour of just bouncing around joyfully.
    • Sonic boards a treadmill, dials the speed up to maximum, then jogs on it, and takes advantage of his Super-Speed to do a series of tricks, including reading a comic book!
    • Luke puts on a top hat and does an impromptu rendition of "Guys And Dolls", along with six other back up singers. Bonus points for using his lightsaber as a cane and somehow not burning a hole in the floor.
    • Harry Potter, being a wizard, tries to Pull a Rabbit out of My Hat- except the first time around, he pulls a fire-breathing dragon out instead! Even funnier if you consider that his dragon might be the Hungarian Horntail that gave Harry so much trouble in Goblet Of Fire!
    • Chun-Li plays with a soccer ball. Turns out, having legs as powerful as hers makes you a perfect goal scorer.
    • Mai Shiranui whips off her Stripperiffic outfit to reveal a bikini underneath, then sits on a beach towel to sip a pina colada.
    • Starscream creates a paper plane and throws it on the breeze, until it returns to his hand. Overjoyed, he throws it again... and this time, the plane flies into his head, crumpling itself, much to his dismay.
    • Rainbow Dash uses her Weather Manipulation powers to grow a shriveled sprout into a Towering Flower, the shock of which knocks her off her cloud, after which she gives the player a cheeky wave.
    • Master Chief uses a gigantic bubble wand to create a massive bubble dome over himself, then childishly "swims" around in it.
    • The Doomguy channels his Blood Knight tendencies into more harmless hobbies by replacing his gun with a bat and beating up a Cacodemon-shaped piñata. And then after breaking it open, he starts scooping up the candy, despite the fact that he's still wearing his helmet and therefore can't eat any of it.
    • Dr. Eggman opens up his Eggman Land theme park, and this time, he doesn't appear to have any nefarious motives.
    • Dr. Wily gets his Robot Masters into four lines and makes them dance to the "YMCA". He even joins in himself!
    • Metal Sonic, after switching into his Metal Emperor form, turns to a mirror and a box of masks and emblems of various different superheroes, (Batman, Superman, Thor, Dr. Strange and Shazam), then starts trying them on and doing generic superhero poses. Yes, Dr. Eggman's Robotic Psychopath is also a cosplayer!
    • Bass gets out a guitar- specifically, a bass guitar- and plays a rendition of "Moonlight Sonata".
    • Princess Zelda attaches a bunch of different-coloured Rupees to a chandelier, and then projects coloured lights over the arena.
    • Princess Peach finally bakes that awesome cake she constantly offers to Mario in the games.
    • Thor gives Mjolnir a rest- literally, he puts a pillow under its head and covers it in a blanket, like a parent tending to a small child.
    • Link decides to put away his sword and go fishing, and he catches a fish nearly as large as himself.
    • Batman retracts his wrist spikes and sings "Am I Blue?" to the audience.
    • Spider-Man uses his web-slinging abilities to go bungee-jumping.
    • Pikachu calls his trainer Ash on stage, then he joins three of Ash's other Pokemon (Krookodile, Staraptor, and Corphish) and forms a Pokemon tower!
    • Blanka uses his Shock and Awe abilities to charge up a blender and make the tastiest smoothie. He even adds a little umbrella afterwards and offers it to the player!
    • Goku uses the Muffin Button to... mass-produce as many muffins as he can eat- and knowing Goku, that's a ton of muffins.
    • He-Man pulls out a circus hoop, then encourages Battlecat to dive through it.
    • Lion-O replaces the Sword of Omens proper with the small plastic version available from the toyline. He smiles like a child while playing the flashing lights and sound effects (makes sense, since he's a Manchild).
    • M. Bison, of all people, pulls out plastic figurines of the Shadaloo Dolls and starts playing with them, miming a chat between the Decapre and Juri dolls. To the side, Vega and Balrog watch their boss' childlike antics, then do a Shrug Take and leave him. Becomes even funnier if Balrog is the combatant who just lost to Bison himself!
    • Ryu Hayabusa goes off to attend a beach volleyball session with his three female friends, Ayane, Hayate and Kasumi. Even funnier is that the ninja girls are all wearing swimsuits, but Ryu is just wearing full Ninja getup!
    • Strider Hiryu cheerfully pranks his Option B Panther by getting his Option A drone to use a laser pointer, so that the Option A chases the little red light like a normal cat. He chuckles about it afterwards. Seems even a Cyber Ninja has to find fun in pranking his robot allies.
    • Ivy receives a heart-shaped chocolate box with the words "Be My Valentine" on it. And, despite being a supposed Ice Queen, she actually likes them! Doubles as Heartwarming.
    • Wily calls in his Robot Masters and all dance to the YMCA. Even he gets in on the fun!
    • Black Orchid has a near-literal Pet the Dog moment with her Firecat, stroking it and being affectionate to it. She even goes around for a short ride on its back!
    • Bucky O'Hare puts on a polka-dotted bow tie and pretends to be the Easter Bunny, hopping around collecting eggs. Quite a stretch from the Righteous Rabbit he behaves like in canon.
    • Tails plays with a toy version of his Tornado, flying around with it via Airplane Arms. Also counts as Heartwarming and a Tearjerker, when you remember that he's basically being the Cheerful Child that he could never be thanks to Eggman murdering his parents in canon.
    • Venusaur produces seeds from its back that grow into beautiful flowers. That's the Heartwarming bit. What makes it funny, is that right afterwards, Venusaur sniffs one of these flowers, and then sneezes on the pollen, so it retreats to a respectable distance afterwards. Yep, turns out, not even Pokémon are immune to hay fever.
    • Blastoise uses its Shoulder Cannons to... wash a dirty car. Becomes even funnier when you remember that Boomstick boasted that Blastoise's shoulder cannons would "get rid of the stains on your patio! Along with your patio, and... maybe most of your lawn." Blastoise is certainly much more careful with those cannons than Boomstick thinks!
    • Charizard uses its Breath Weapon to light a barbecue pit, then starts frying some burgers and hot dogs. Bonus points for wearing an apron saying "Don't Kiss the Cook"!
    • Fulgore does light painting photography with an UltraTech employee. The photos include a heart, Fulgore shaking hands with a stickman, and letters that form the word "UltraTech Rulez Newbz".
    • Sektor the Cyber Ninja- oh, sorry, Cyber Lin Kuei- opens up his chest compartment to reveal, not missiles, but a bunch of fireworks that he sets off, after which he then twirls a pair of sparklers. It seems there's one way in which Cybernetics Eat Your Soul doesn't apply to Sektor.
    • Captain America delivers a public safety announcement in which he tells whoever's playing this game about the ESRB, and warning them that if they're underage, their parent did a poor job getting them a game with content they can't handle. Unless, of course, they're the right age, in which case, don't let kids play it. "You got lucky using the Friendship, but your kid may not be so lucky. Spare them Fatalities. Not everyone is a Super-Soldier." Self-Deprecation or what? And the name of this Fatality? "Rappin' With Cap." Also doubles as Heartwarming, since this is exactly the type of video the good Captain would make in real life.
    • Tommy Oliver plays "Macarena" and does a dance to it, and the Tigerzord mimics his movements. A Humongous Mecha doing a dance? Comedy. Gold.
    • Zechs Merquise gets the Epyon to imitate the iconic Tarzan Vine Swing via its chain-whip, snagging an off-screen ceiling and swinging around while Zechs does a Tarzan cry and poses in the cockpit.
    • Ryu plays Street Fighter II on an arcade machine, despite being a character from Street Fighter II himself.
    • Deadpool takes a few selfies, including him giving his opponent bunny ears and a photo saying "When You're Playing MK, But Your Mom Is Watching". Deadpool, Breaking the Fourth Wall, as always.
    • Deathstroke, normally a Consummate Professional when it comes to killing people, dons a pirate hat and a Hook Hand and boards a pirate ship, forcing a bunch of crude Teen Titans dummies to Walk the Plank, while saying "Argh! Walk the plank, ye scurvy Titans!" He even gets a Pirate Parrot afterwards! Seems Deadpool has rubbed off on Slade after all.
    • Majin Buu uses his Reality Warper abilities to convert the stage into a candy-coated landscape: licorice trees, a chocolate river, fruit grass, and candy cane flowers. Then he poses in a Willy Wonka outfit!
    • Ragna the Bloodedge, apart from being fourth-wall-breakingly-incredulous that he has to do a Friendship, pulls out a rope dog toy and summons the Black Beast jaws via Dead Spike and plays tug-of-war with it. Then he faces the camera and says "Hey, look. It's acting like a cliché dog. Haha! Kill me."
    • Sol pulls out an electric guitar, some Cool Shades, and does a long intense number until the strings smoke and flames erupt behind him.
    • Gaara, being a man who manipulates sand, uses his powers to build a really stylish sandcastle- specifically, the first one is cool, but doesn't satisfy him, so he replaces it with an oriental-style sandcastle and puts the flag of Suna on it.
    • His opponent Toph uses her own abilities to build a massive sculpture of herself- a sculpture she creates after restructuring a complex Greek-looking statue that doesn't look like her. It seems Toph and Gaara are not so different...
    • Guts uses the Dragonslayer as a frying pan to do eggs and bacon for his troupe. Who says a Dark Fantasy Anti-Hero can't have a few funny quirks?
    • Guts' opponent Nightmare goes one step further. Apart from polishing his BFS, Soul Edge, he checks to make sure no-one's looking, before... applying eyeliner and mascara to the "eye" of Soul Edge, which he then shows off to the camera.
    • Remember those dancing girls with Iron Man-themed outfits from Iron Man 2? Well, they show up to do a dance routine and then pose around Tony for his Friendship. Smooth, Tony.
    • Lex Luthor rushes off-screen, then reappears pushing a four-layered cart full of forty cakes. The cake at the top, which he shows to the camera, has "Sorry 'Bout That" written on it. note
    • Beast, being, well, Beast, shows you how to create a multi-coloured smoke cloud by mixing enough substances, labcoat, goggles, and all.

    • Sam Fisher decides to Kill the Lights, and then lights flicker back on again... candles on a birthday cake, with the words "Happy Birthday from Sammy" written in the frosting. Doubles as Heartwarming.
    • Darth Vader serves as an orchestra conductor, using his lightsaber as the baton. The orchestra consists of Stormtroopers (who can still play their instruments with their helmets on), and they play a short rendition of the Imperial March.
    • Donkey Kong plays an orchestrated bongo beat, in exchange for a banana as payment.
    • Doctor Doom forms a human pyramid (sort of) with five of his Doombots.
    • Knuckles polishes the Master Emerald, taking care to rub off Rouge the Bat's lipstick marks.
    • Wolverine uses his claws to carve a massive picture of his own face winking triumphantly into the ground.
    • Raiden does a live-action reenactment of the game "Fruit Ninja". That should say basically all you need to know.
    • Hercule Satan opens up one of his capsule jukeboxes, and does a really bad dance (with air accordion movements). His daughter Videl walks in on him, then shakes her head at her dad's antics and decides Screw This, I'm Out of Here!
    • You think that's bad? Dan Hibiki does a tribute to Saturday Night Fever in a Gratuitous Disco Sequence, and judging by the boos from the crowd, no-one likes his dancing. Sucks to be you, Dan.
    • Yang Xiao Long lip-syncs to a remix of her Character Song, "I Burn".
    • Astro Boy removes his own head and plays a brief game of hackysack with it.
    • Green Arrow swaps his bow for a smaller plastic toy bow, then fires two suction-cup arrows at a target. The name of this Friendship? Sucker Shot.
    • Hawkeye trades his bow for three throwing darts, and reminds us that being an extremely gifted archer also translates to having perfect hand-eye coordination for dart-throwing competitions.
    • Red puts a blindfold on Mega Charizard X and places before him three cards- one with a Squirtle and Ivysaur on it, one with Professors Oak and Blue, and one with Giovanni on it. Mega Charizard X instinctively picks Giovanni's card and incinerates it, to Red's congratulations.
    • Tai gets Greymon to star in a low-budget Kaiju film, in which the Digimon walks around knocking over clearly fake buildings. Cut to Tai and Agumon watching from a cinema with popcorn to hand.
    • Tai plays a funky tune and WarGreymon does a breakdancing version of Great Tornado to it. Bet you never expected to see a Draconic Humanoid doing that.
    • Remember that Michael Jackson dance Dante does in Devil May Cry 5? Well, he recreates it for the player as his Friendship in all its glory.
    • Bayonetta does a sensual dance- because of course she would- and her friends Rodin, Jeanne, Luka and Enzo join in. Enzo struggles to catch up, naturally.
    • Trish poses on a motorcycle for a magazine cover photo, with the title "Ride me to Hell". Cut to Trish contentedly reading through the magazine herself afterwards.
    • Ratchet and Clank pull off yet another Gratuitous Disco Sequence after Ratchet throws down the Groovitron, complete with disco ball and Cool Shades. The "We're the best" pose they strike afterwards just sells it.
    • Jak uses his Light Jak form to pretend to be a fairy and scatter Light Eco all over the floor. Daxter runs off-stage and reappears wearing a Tinker Bell-type outfit and suspended from the ceiling by a harness. Daxter's This Is Gonna Suck reaction before he runs off, upon realizing what Jak wants him to do, in addition to his dour expression once he reappears, is the icing on the cake.
    • Ganondorf plays a game of chess with a Moblin, on a chessboard with Hylians and Bokoblins in place of the normal pieces. After quite a few back-and-forths, the Moblin eventually knocks over one of Ganondorf's "kings". How does Ganondorf respond? By Warlock Punching the table, the chessboard, AND the Moblin off-screen, the Moblin vanishing in a Twinkle in the Sky. Yes, not even the King of Evil is immune to the temptation of pulling a Rage Quit.
    • Ganon, the Animalistic Abomination Pig Man, throws his trident into the air, catches it as it falls, and... twirls it like a majorette's baton, marching from left-to-right, while a band of assorted Bokoblins, Moblins, and Lizalfos follow him on-stage, playing musical instruments. It appears Ganon aspires to other things besides the Triforce of Power.
    • The Flash uses his Super-Speed to deliver a fresh pepperoni lovers' pizza. Well, he has to find work in between super-heroism.
    • Quicksilver uses his Super-Speed to play a piano... by doing a high-speed foot-dance on top of the keys to play an upbeat, jazzy number. He rounds it off by bringing down his knee in a way that causes one of the keys to crack.
    • Needles "Sweet Tooth" Kane takes time out from tracking down people to murder, and uses his Bad Humor Truck to do what it's supposed to do... serve a beautiful sundae for himself. And then he goes at it with his mask still on, which ends up staining his mask with ice-cream/chocolate sauce splatters.
    • Mewtwo uses his Psychic Powers to ace a magician's card-picking trick.
    • The Meta does a Happy Dance to "Ring Around the Rosies", sung by his eight AI fragments, then tries to make "flower angels" in a small field of roses. He almost comes across as innocent and childlike, despite being a murderous psychopath.
    • Agent Carolina uses her AI friend Church as a ventriloquist's dummy. She drinks a glass of water (sometimes with her helmet on, somehow). Church says to her that she can't have it harder than him sometimes, because "For starters, you don't have someone's hand up your ass." The crowd laughs and applauds.
    • Tracer has some tea with plushies of three of her Overwatch friends-Winston, Genji and Mercy. Of course, she's the only one who actually drinks the tea. Sometimes the Winston plushie slumps over, and she has to right it. Kind of like Mileena's Friendship in Mortal Kombat 11, except Tracer's a lot nicer than Mileena.
    • The Scout tries to use his bat like it should be used... except he misses the first pitch, gets nailed in the head by the second pitch, and the third one he hits home into the pitching machine, breaking it.
    • Terry is paid a surprise visit by his pet monkey, Ukee. Ukee cheerfully grabs his owner's hat, then tries to imitate Terry's fighting moves. And he actually does pretty well at them! Doubles as Heartwarming, since Terry clearly loves Ukee and doesn't chide him for stealing his hat.
    • Amy uses her hammer to play at Whack-A-Mole, but after repeatedly failing to hit the moles, she hits her Rage Breaking Point and just wrecks the machine.
    • Ramona enters her Subspace Suitcase and pulls off a series of skateboard tricks at an appropriate skate park.
    • Doomsday, of all things, attempts a friendly smile (but still disturbing), then removes three of his Spikes of Villainy and throws them into the air, using them as acupuncture needles on his arms and shoulders. After popping the spikes out again, he uses his newfound spryness to sprint in place, do a worm dance, punch the air, etc.
    • Zoro practices juggling his three swords, and is skilled enough that he can do it.
    • Erza Scarlet. Magic Knight, Kung-Fu Wizard... fashion model? That last one is a little different, as Erza shows when she switches to stylish dresses and parades up and down a catwalk.
    • Pinkie Pie sets up a ton of party supplies after eagerly Breaking the Fourth Wall to thank the player. And this is perfectly in-character for her.
    • Remember that bit in the ending of Tomb Raider II where Lara is about to take a shower, but then she notices the camera, says "Don't you think you've seen enough?" and shoots the camera over? Well, she replicates that ending as her Friendship, except after shooting the off-screen cameraman, she flings off her bathrobe... to reveal a one-piece swimming suit, which she then wears into the shower!
    • Nate finds himself in a swimming pool with trunks on, then closes his eyes and calls out "Marco!", to which a voice replies "Polo!" note  Nate then feels his way around the pool, trying to grab the three other pool occupants- his wife Elena, his brother Sam, and his Old Flame Chloe. Sully watches cheerfully from the sidelines. Also doubles as Heartwarming.

    • Shovel Knight, with his shovel, naturally, gets digging into the soil. He then switches his shovel for a watering can, and creates a little gardening bed, then unearths a carrot and presents it proudly to the audience.
    • Venom uses his Voluntary Shapeshifting abilities to create makeshift puppets and stage a fight between them, until one puppet pulls out a bat, and one puppet bites off the other one's head. Good Thing You Can Heal, Venom.
    • Bane attempts to hoist his foe up for a Fatality, but then his back gives out, and he says "So this is what it's like being broken..." He then goes back to Arkham Asylum to get his back massaged by the guards, and lies back contentedly, complete with a Cucumber Facial.
    • Natsu Dragneel uses his Playing with Fire powers to create a campfire for him to roast a s'more on. Happy the Cat then joins him and opts to roast a fish on a stick instead.
    • Portgas D. Ace makes a perfect flame dancer. You learn something new every day.
    • Glacius creates a snow globe, of all things, and plays with it in an Adorkable way. He even giggles!
    • Captain Marvel flies off-planet to relax on a space station with a holographic beach, and a Robot Buddy to bring her fresh juiceboxes. Doubles as Heartwarming when you remember that Carol's friend Nick Fury did something similar to this for his vacation in Spider-Man: Far From Home!
    • Zero puts on some large Nerd Glasses and writes down some simple equations on a blackboard which he solves no problem, but then he reaches 0/0=? and, since he can't answer, cuts the blackboard in half (a literal case of division), and grins sheepishly at the screen.
    • Lucario balances three plates on top of a bone staff balanced on his nose, and hops around the arena without dropping any. The advantages of having Psychic Powers...
    • Renamon uses her Diamond Rush attack to create jewelry for herself, then poses and shows off in it.
    • Balrog receives an inflatable punching bag opponent, and after he beats it up, it bounces back and hits him in a manner similar to the Kronika punching bag in Mortal Kombat 11. In contrast to Jacqui Briggs, though, Balrog punches the bag so hard he punctures it and it deflates.
    • TJ Combo starts lifting a heavy black barbell... then someone rings him on his mobile phone, and he has to take a break to chat with them... while still lifting the barbell with one arm.
    • Shredder uses his blade-coated suit of armour to chop up a perfect salad for the screen. The title of his Friendship is "Time for Turtle Salad", but there aren't any actual turtles in it.
    • The Silver Samurai, apart from being a samurai, is also a gifted taiko drum player, and summons two back-up musicians with a shamisen and a shinobue flute, respectively, to play the Song of the Rising Sun with him. They do a Kabuki-style "Yooooo!" afterwards.
    • Smokey Bear drives a tiny pink circus car around the stage, to audience cheers. Actually, the fact that Smokey's included in the game to begin with, especially since Deadpool insisted that his presence in Season 4 of Death Battle is a reason the fans don't count that season as canon.
    • Naruto uses his Sexy Jutsu to flirt with the audience, only for Sakura to punch him back to normal, and grumble about his immaturity.
    • Three Hollows sneak up behind Ichigo and try to scare him, but instead, the Soul Reaper whips out a cartoonish mask, with Hollow colouring, then turns and shouts "OOGA BOOGA BOOGA!" at the Hollows. Cue the Hollows screaming and hightailing it out of there.

    • Miguel O'Hara is suddenly visited by the 1967 animated Spider-Man, and they have a lengthy exchange of repeated questioning and pointing at one another. Where have we seen that before?
    • A creepy mixture of funny and heartwarming for Sephiroth. The One-Winged Angel drops his BFS and replaces it with a bunch of flowers, which he then gives to Jenova SYNTHESIS. Jenova accepts the flowers with her tentacles, gives her "son" an Affectionate Gesture to the Head, and Sephiroth turns to the screen with a level of pride for his "Mother". Also, the flowers have a tag saying "May cause allergies and Geostigma"!
    • Vergil, by contrast, seems a lot less eager when he realizes he has to leave the battlefield and spend Father's Day with Sparda. Cut to a compilation of photos of Vergil and Sparda (Vergil's also in his Devil Trigger Mode). First we see Sparda carrying Vergil on his shoulders, and Vergil crosses his arms and looks away. Then we see them fishing for demonic fish. The third photo has them playing Marvel vs. Capcom together- and Vergil's a playable character in that game - and the fourth has Sparda with one arm over his son's shoulder and giving a peace sign with his free arm, while Vergil blows a party horn with a perfectly annoyed expression. It appears as though being an Ascended Demon doesn't make Sparda exempt from being an Amazingly Embarrassing Parent.
    • Black Panther picks up a literal panther cub, puts a red mark on its head with his thumb, then raises it into the air, whereupon a beam of sunlight shines down on both of them, in a homage to The Lion King (1994).
    • Raven plays with a bunch of colourful pony toys, as per Teen Titans Go! canon. Even funnier when you remember that the whole reason she and Twilight had their canonical Death Battle is that Twilight caught Raven playing with her ponies.
    • Jotaro gives a piece of paper to Star Platinum, who promptly draws a caricature of their opponent. Afterwards, Jotaro throws the cartoon over his shoulder and says "That's all you get. Now beat it."
    • Kenshiro uses Hokuto Shinken on a custard pie, of all things. After telling it You Are Already Dead, the pie explodes, just like anyone Ken uses his moves on in canon, and he ends up showered in custard and whipped cream. He doesn't break character, though, just sometimes wiping off the cream and tasting it.
    • Sora appears before the Disney castle logo and puts on a Mickey Mouse hat to present it to the players.
    • Pit successfully makes a Bargain with Heaven and persuades the gods- possibly Palutena- to give him some floor ice cream. And There Was Much Rejoicing.

    • Frank turns into his zombie form and does a Michael Jackson's Thriller Parody with a bunch of other zombies.
    • Doctor Strange uses a stage magician's trick of getting someone into three boxes and rearranging their body pieces. The person in question? Clea, as the good Doctor's Lovely Assistant.

    • Jin Kazama plays a harp rendition of the Tekken 7 main menu theme, then turns into an angel version of his Devil Jin form, complete with robes and a Holy Halo.
    • Samurai Jack appears at a rave party. Initially, Jack stands aloof, but when one of the teens encourages him to dance, he proves himself Not So Above It All by incorporating martial arts into his dancing. The teens, inspired, imitate him.

    • Carnage, upon being ordered to do a Friendship instead of a Fatality, furiously whines, "What?! But...but...I wanna do a FATALITY!" He then throws a temper tantrum in a manner that makes him come across as a Psychopathic Manchild (appropriately, since that's what he is).
    • Lucy, in contrast, does a surprisingly-detailed picture of a dog which she makes with a suspicious red paint that she dips her Vectors' fingertips in.
    • Optimus Prime rigs out his truck form with glowing paint and lights, then alternates between doing high-speed donuts and dancing to "We Like To Party" by Venga Bus. Optimus does, indeed, have The Touch.

    • Nightwing uses his Escrima sticks as drumsticks on a roll of snare drums.
    • Daredevil plays a game of "Pin the Tail on the Donkey"- or, in this case, "Jackass", because he's pinning the tail to a poster of Bullseye, and he just manages to nail the tail right between Bullseye's eyes. When the crowd cheers him, Daredevil says "Huh. Got lucky..." and waves to them in reply.
    • Ultron sings a creepy rendition of "No Strings On Me" from Pinocchio, then a bunch of marionettes that look like the Avengers dance on stage. After finishing his song, Ultron cuts their strings. Also doubles as Nightmare Fuel, considering Ultron's the person doing this Friendship.
    • Sigma joins a limbo game with his Mavericks, only to fall over, because he's a Top-Heavy Guy and he can't hold his balance. The Mavericks are initially frightened/concerned, but then Sigma delivers some Tension-Cutting Laughter, which prompts the rest of the Mavericks to laugh along with him.

    • Namor dives into a swimming pool with numerous other Atlanteans on the sides, who dive in after him. Namor then stands in the centre of the pool whilst the Atlanteans form a "lotus" surrounding him. Hilarious when you remember that Namor and Aquaman's Death Battle started out at a swimming pool.

Most of them are heartwarming congratulations from fans of his for winning the Mega Man Battle Royale, but there's one from an enraged fan saying "NOOO! MEGAMAN X SHOULDA WON, YOU CHEATER!" Megaman.EXE grimaces and deletes the e-mail. For bonus points, this Friendship's title is You've Got Mail.

    • Widowmaker, the Cold Sniper supreme, replaces her rifle with a BB gun and knocks over a pyramid of glass bottles with it. As a reward, she wins a giant stuffed tiger from off-screen. • Shazam pulls out a smartphone and fiddles with it, then realizes it's low on charge, so he recharges it with finger lightning, then sets about his original task: playing "Don't Stop Me Now" and dancing to it... and yes, he does the Floss.
    • Wario drives his Wario Bike inside a wire-mesh cage-sphere, even going upside-down or horizontal to the floor at times. After a few seconds, he emerges from the sphere via a hatch and lands on the back tire, making a "W" with his fingers.
    • King Dedede tries hammering a simple-looking melon to a pulp, only to find out that the melon is actually a ball of lead when he hammers it, and the impact sends vibrations through his body. Annoyed, he replaces the ball with an actual watermelon, and this time, he splatters it and cheerfully eats a piece afterwards.
    • Ben utilizes Master Control to turn into Cannonball, who then rolls towards a ramp preceding a flaming hoop. Just as he begins takeoff, the Omnitrix glitches and turns him into Grey Matter, but the momentum Ben gained from Cannonball sends him straight through the hoop. After he lands on the other side, Grey Matter lands right next to a trophy, which he happily accepts... only to then turn into Upchuck and eat the trophy. Ben then sheepishly waves to the camera. And no, the author has no idea how Ben turned into these three extra aliens when he only has Heatblast, Feedback, Way Big, and Rath in-game.

When he flips the switch, the volcano sucks his head in. Alphonse initially laughs at his brother's predicament, but then Ed dryly remarks "A comedian, huh?" and smashes the volcano open by reeling back his head. Al then looks appropriately nervous and runs off around the battlefield on a loop, with Ed screaming at him to "stop and get what's comin' to ya!" Even funnier if you imagine Alphonse as being his Animated Armor form instead of his human one.
    • Ghost Rider pulls out his flaming chain, then uses it as a lasso. He forms a figure-eight with it, a circle that he hops through multiple times, and even twirls the loop over himself. He even dons a cowboy hat as Country Guitar strings begin to play!

He reappears wearing robes like a Catholic priest, but with a dolphin symbol on the chest, followed by a small gang of alien dolphins. He then raises a hand as though in oath and says "I swear on the oath of the Triple-Fish god to either frag or be fragged." And then he bows in reverence and the crowd applauds him!

    • Tatsumaki's hair contorts into a sloppy mess, and she uses her Psychic Powers to try fixing it with combs, spray bottles, and hair dryers. The first time she turns it into a pair of pigtails, the second time she ends up with a Funny Afro, and finally she gets it back to normal. With a satisfied smirk, the esper discards her hair tools.

    • Obi-Wan creates a tall spiral staircase from the ground in front of him via the Force, then runs all the way to the top before triumphantly shouting (presumably to the off-screen Anakin/Vader) "I officially have the high ground!" After beating it up to the point that he uppercuts Fulgore's torso to pieces and scatters his limbs(complete with declaration of "ULTRAAA COMBOOOO!" from the KI announcer), Sabrewulf settles down to chewing on rubber Fulgore's head. Even funnier if his opponent is Fulgore.
    • Jon Talbain is reluctantly pulled into a play version of Little Red Riding Hood, with Felicia dressing him up as Red's Grandmother, after which a Vaudeville Hook pulls him off-screen and drops him onto a bed in a generic theatre stage. • Sanji's Friendship is not really that funny, apart from the fact that he's serving food to his erstwhile enemies the Marines, but his two "Romances"- alternatives to Fatalities that you can use if Sanji's opponents are female- are pretty hilarious. The first one, Present For You, features Sanji treating his opponent to a bouquet of flowers and chocolates, after which he faints from a bleeding nose and shocks her (unless his opponent is a child or an animal, in which case he just gives them the chocolates as a peace offering, no romantic intentions). His other "Romance", Dinner Date, is Exactly What It Says on the Tin, and consists of Sanji treating his opponent to a Romantic Candlelit Dinner (the "Date" part is averted if his opponent is already part of an Official Couple, or if they are a child or an animal). The really hilarious part comes if his opponent is Agent Tex, in which case the rest of the Blue Team is in the background, Tucker is restraining Church from attacking Sanji, and Caboose is playing the violin (badly) and getting his hands slapped away whenever he reaches for the food.

    • Same for most of the characters getting annoyed with whatever comes out of Deadpool's mouth, usually begging him to shut up. Although some characters like Buu do find him amusing.

  • The endings can also be quite humorous.
    • In Spider-Man's ending, he saves the multiverse from the Mastermind and got praised for it. The next day, what does he find? A headline claiming that he caused havoc in alternate dimensions. Even in other worlds, Peter still gets slandered by Jameson.
