I'm not sure how Symbolic Gold Tooth would work TBH. What would it be symbolizing? Or would it just be "any time a gold tooth is used to symbolize something"?
I honestly would prefer splitting into specific tropes about things that gold teeth symbolize and sending them to the TLP/Salvage Yard, aka option 2.

though, I know that there's someone who's considering making a general "gold is used to communicate wealth" trope as a rework for their "rich people are blond" trope idea (mostly because I rec'd the switch[1]). So, the gold teeth = wealth idea might work better as part of that larger concept.
gold teeth = shady, untrustworthy, villainous, greedy can be yarded.

I think the gold tooth symbolizing both greed and villainy are similar enough concepts to not require large changes; the main problem is the sheer quantity of meaningless ZCEs, being more than half of all examples. Renaming could at least make it more clear the trope isn't about solely about appearance. Maybe Greedy Gold Tooth?

Note that the "7 examples" in the OP is the amount in the usage check; extrapolated out to the full 303 references, we'd expect closer to 42 valid examples. Finding them is another matter, of course.
Looking at the page itself, it seems like the most common gold tooth + trait example is villains with gold teeth. Besides that, two things that didn't come up are teeth with words carved into them and fake teeth made out of other decorative items.
So, maybe we could have Villanous Gold Tooth and Status Symbol Tooth.

I see 8/50 (extrapolate to 48-ish total) "evil gold tooth" examples; 6/50 (extrapolate to 36-ish total) "wealthy gold tooth" examples
- If the vote is to yard, all fitting examples would need to be identified and collected for the yard.
- If the vote is to retool in TRS, all fitting examples would need to be identified and collected for this thread.
Either way, the participants here would be finding examples from the wicks that weren't checked. There's no difference in that step.

I suppose the crowner option(s) could say we'd sandbox examples for those splits, and that any that have enough examples to count as thriving would be made right away, and any that don't have enough examples be Yarded or sent to TLP to gather more examples if it turns out that they don't have enough examples. This would include the possibility that one could be made right away and the other would have to be Yarded (in addition to the possibility of either both being able to be made right away or both needing to be Yarded).

How can I test if a new trope is workable for "evil gold tooth" and "wealthy gold tooth" examples? I tried searching for - "gold tooth" and "evil" - and - "gold tooth" and "wealthy" -, but nothing useful came up that shows more examples than the ones in the wick check.
I think it might need a trip to TLP/yarding either way.

Edit: Oh, right, I unstarred the thread since we have at least one crowner to do per what I mentioned above (there will be another one if the trope for gold teeth symbolizing wealth is ready to be split off right away).
Edit: I see that Gold Tooth has a god dedicated to it on the Pantheon, but I'm going to wait to see how the split goes before asking the Pantheon thread to handle it, in case one of the two splits could replace it instead of the entry needing to be removed entirely.
