Stories tell about an perfect city...

"Welcome to Minecraft Utopia...a city in which the goal is to be the richest and dominate the server. It could be something that simple, but not everything is as we imagine. The city bank has a secret, a vault that hides something that no one knows what it is until today. Our goal is to find out what is in it, using the stores, all the money you have at our disposal. Although I can just try and break into the vault. Well, let’s plan this calmly, because we have to get our money to start."
Uto1!Lggj

Minecraft Utopia, also known as Utopia, is a Minecraft RP Fantasy Action Drama webseries with modpacks and the sixth entry of the Minecraft Brazilian Multiverse.

The web series has 2 seasons that focus in two distint Utopias. The focus of the series is to monopolize the eponymous city and discover the dark secrets behind it. Each player has their own personal quest where their learn secrets about themselves and are together with allies. Althrough it is a Lighter and Softer RP webseries compared to the other entries in the franchise, it slowly gets darker and dramatic.

The first season premiered with episode "THE BEST START OF ALL in MINECRAFT UTOPIA" note  (Lggj's story), released in May 17, 2022, and being finished with the episode "THE END OF MINECRAFT UTOPIA - Final Episode" note  (Lggj's story), released in August 19, 2022.

The second Season started with "THE START OF EVERYTHING ON UTOPIA 2" note  (Biel's story), started in November 1, 2022, and is set to be concluded with Phantom's Story Finale.

Aside from the main series, there's also two spinoff series called Lost In Mars and Minecraft Phoenix. Different from the main series, those are short stories that tell what happened with some characters, with the first focusing in Dlet trying to get away from Mars, while the latter shows Uto2!Biel and Uto!Carlin surviving in a new universe.

Note: Unless otherwise specified, all tropes pertain to the characters, not the content creators that play them.

"The new tropes were chosen":

  • Action Dad: Uto1!Dlet is Junin's adoptive father, and killed a lot of evil aliens, blew up their base, and gone face to face with Luiz and ''survived''.
  • A Day in the Limelight:
  • Aerith and Bob: Because the characters' real names are based on their online nicknames, Carlin and Biel exist alongside characters like Lggj, Phantom, and Ralls.
  • Affably Evil: Dark Lggj appears to be one due to his calmly conversing with his counterpart as if they were old friends. Subverted on the Evil side because he is an Anti-Hero out to kill Luiz.
  • Alien Kudzu: Dark Lichen is a corrupting fungus that lives in its own dimension and is located in the Deep Darks. It expands continuously, has the ability to make tendrils, and, as Dark Foka observes, may spread through water. The organism has the power to corrupt people's brains and bring out the worst in them, even having those who worship it, like Dark.
  • All for Nothing: Most Utopia 1 citizens worked hard to protect the city from various threats and achieve their objectives. Despite surviving the Upside-Down Dimension, defeating Evil Carlin, and successfully destroying the aliens' mothership, their efforts were futile for two reasons. Luiz became bored with them and simply activated hardcore mode, killing the majority of the players and causing the city to be abandoned.
  • Alternate Universe: By season, the series focuses on the lives of two different utopias. The entire concept of Utopia is one; it is each universe created and controlled by Luiz for the sole purpose of entertaining him.
  • Ambiguously Gay: Both Top!Pedrux and Nait occasionally wear female clothing; in the Utopia 1 universe, Nait thinks Pedrux is cute when he wears a maid outfit.
  • Amnesiac Hero: The story of each season begins with the majority of the characters moving to Utopia without remembering anything about their lives prior to that point, which is caused by Luiz. The discovery of his life's past becomes a plot point in the second season.
  • And I Must Scream: Uto1!Apuh is pushed into the void by Luiz, but he cannot die because his rat companion grants him immortality. He cannot die naturally, nor can he attempt suicide, and can only be saved if someone uses a Command Block, an item that is nearly impossible to obtain.
    • Due to Dark Lichen, Dark Ralls' fate is to walk in Limbo for eternity.
  • Animal Motifs:
    • Uto1!Apuh is associated with rats, even becoming a humanoid rat at some point, because Apuh employs rats and has a connection with Ratlantis.
    • Spaceduo! wears animal/mob-inspired clothing. Tuguim wears a green turtle-themed hoodie, while Phantom is uses a phantom-themed mask alongside a carcass of the same mob.
    • Obviously, Foka and Dark Foka are anthropomorphic seals, though only the former shares this animal's personality.
  • Another Dimension: Subverted. The Upside-Down Dimension is throught to be one, but it is actually Luiz's universe.
  • Arch-Enemy:
    • The evil aliens are this to Uto1!Lggj, Uto1!Dlet, and Uto!Pedrux because the aliens are attempting to destroy the city.
    • Salazar is one for Uto1!Apuh.
    • This is how Tuguim and Red Tuguim feel about one another. When Tuguim does not want to assist him with his goals, Red Tuguim discards him and subdues him in his own mind. Red Tuguim was the only person who hurt Tuguim to the point where he developed a deep hatred for him, which ultimately led to Tuguim killing him.
    • The Warden King is it for Mendrake, due to the former's manipulation and nearly killing Primal.
    • The Wither Storm is one for Nait, as a result of supposedly killing Adam.
    • Dark Foka to Foka, due to the former attempting to manipulate the latter and murdering his mentor.
    • Luiz is one for the most of the citizens, but especially to Uto2!Lggj and Phantom. The former was created with the purpose of killing Luiz and putting an end to his sadistic show, while the latter, had his best friend Tuguim murdered coldly by him.
  • Arc Villain: Each POV of the characters has a individual Big Bad.
    • Season 1:
      • The evil aliens to Uto1!Lggj, Uto1!Dlet,Uto!Pedrux and Uto!Ralls, being the ones who prevent they to making Utopia 1 into a peaceful city.
      • Salazar to Uto1!Apuh, manipulating him for his own goals.
      • Evil Carlin to Uto1!Carlin and Uto1!Biel.
      • The Warden King to Mendrake, trying to corrupt him and later, kill he.
      • The Wither Storm to Nait, being the threat that Nait needs to protect the city from.
      • Red Tuguim to Tuguim, that uses his body to do horrible things.
    • Season 2:
      • Luiz to Uto2!Lggj, Nait and Uto2!Biel, being responsible for all the disgrace in the Utopias.
      • Dark Ralls to Ralls, trying to take the control of the later's body.
      • Purple Phantom to Phantom.
      • Red Tuguim to Tuguim, as he tries to get revenge due to his first death.
      • Dark Foka to Foka.
      • Uto1!Dlet to Uto2!Dlet]]
  • Art Shift: While the majority of the series takes place in Minecraft, there have been some short animations in Season 2, in the Lggj's and Apuh's episodes.
  • Ax-Crazy: Red Tuguim is extremely unstable, wants to hurt everyone, doesn't care about pain, lacks empathy or goodwill, and is determined to make Tuguim's life hell.
  • Back from the Dead: Red Tuguim, who was killed by Uto1!Lggj in the first season, returns via possesing a Tuguim's clone created by Top!Pedrux.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: In the first season, Luiz gets away with his crimes and succesfully murders almost all the citizens of the city, and will simply create a new utopia to continue his "show".
  • Berserk Button: Don't question the morality of Top!Pedrux. Nait did, and Top!Pedrux immediately responded with an unusually rude response.
  • Big Bad: The evil aliens for the first season, while Luiz is for the second season and overall series. He is the creator and mastermind of all utopias, and he is resposible for manipulating the events and causing suffering, just for his own amusement.
  • Big Damn Heroes: In the second season's finale, Phantom appears in the final showdown after Luiz has taken Uto2!Lggj's sword away. And he is not as himself, he is as the Guardian of Fate and gives the sword back to Uto2!Lggj so that he can kill Luiz, claiming that they had already won even before the battle happened.
  • Big Fancy Castle: Uto1!Apuh's base is one.
  • Big Fancy House: The majority of the people have a big and well-decorated house. An example is the Uto1!Lggj's one.
  • Bittersweet Ending: In the second season. While Luiz is no longer alive and his malevolent influence in the Multiverse has faded, the majority of the citizens were traumatized or killed. Uto2!Lggj will never be the same, Top!Pedrux has lost his Wisdom's Energy and is taking a break with Nait, Phantom has lost his best friend and is no longer himself, and Uto1!Dlet's son has died. Also deceased, are Uto2!Apuh, Tuguim, Foka, Duke, and Dark Lggj. On the sweet side, Uto2!Lggj and Uto1!Dlet, will create a true utopia that will be a genuine perfect city.
  • Bookcase Passage: There is one in Utopia 1's town hall, where you have to break two bookshelves to reach into a secret section. This section is the place where Uto1!Lggj and Duke meet themselves.
  • Bow and Sword in Accord: Almost everyone in the series fights with a sword and either a crossbow or a traditional bow, which they can switch between in an instant.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Dark Lichen can corrupt people into being malevolent and vengeful persons, agravating his worst traits. An example is Dark Ralls.
  • Break the Cutie: Tuguim experiences ''hell'' here. Tuguim loses his items and considers Uto1!Lggj his enemy, Ralls worsens matters and causes them to fight betweem themselves, and after all that has happened with him here and in Minecraft Union, he ends up unwillingly creating an evil personality (Red Tuguim) that kills Uto1!Biel, giving Tuguim's lots of regret. By the second season, he tries to keep himself happy and chaotic but he actually traumatized by everything and is trying to distract himself from his problems. And so Red Tuguim returns...
  • The Bus Came Back: Top!Pedrux, Dark Ralls, Dark Foka, Dark Lggj, and in a small cameo, Top!Apuh; all of them return after more than 1 year.
  • Cessation of Existence: Luiz's fate was that his soul was cut in half, destroying it and his existence.
  • Chekhov's Gag: Phantom starting to dance from nowhere was a Running Gag played for laughs. He distracts Red Tuguim with it to so him shock he, stunning him. It allows to Tuguim kill him, even if it was not their original plan.
  • Compilation Movie: Several of the content creators made a movie compilating his stories in both seasons.
  • Cool Mask: Phantom wears a phantom-themed one, with the front being pure white while the edges are in the mob's color, and containing dark green lenses. Purple Phantom uses an almost identical mask, except the edges are purples and the lenses are white.
  • Crapsack World: The utopias turned into it, with politics, alternate realms, aliens, serial killers and Dark Lichen's hosts are all common occurrences there. The characters frequently have their loved ones harmed or killed, and everything that occurs traumatizes them. And the purest people here end up getting the worst treatment, with Uto1!Lggj losing his base, dealing with the aliens' pression, seeing his friends being killed one by one, and getting his last hope taken off personally by Luiz,; and with Uto1!Dlet having to stay in Mars, being captured and badly treated by Uto2!Dlet for God-knows-how long, discovering that his city and almost all his friends are gone, and as final punch, he lost his son's entire life and met again when he was already dying. This is the whole purpose for the utopias, set by the Luiz.
  • Crossover: This series has a crossover with Block Team where Tuguim and Phantom temporarily end up in the world of the later series.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: This isn't even a battle. Uto1!Lggj tries to fight Luiz, but he just kills him in single hit. He tries again, this time fighting with Uto2!Lggj, Uto1!Dlet and Ralls. This time, Uto!Dlet survives and resurrects the other two who were killed.
  • Darker and Edgier: Initially a Lighter and Softer series, this slowly gets in this status, with serial killers, terrorism, politics, emotional abuse, permadeaths, and much more. It is, counting away the Uto1!Dlet's time as a captive, with him being mentally abused by Uto2!Dlet and even left to rot eventually; and it is for a lot of time.
  • Darkest Hour: When Luiz activates hardcore mode. The aliens' imminent attack, the chaos being instaured in Utopia 1, and the deaths causes Uto1!Lggj and Uto1!Apuh decide to complete a portal that would supposedly take them to a safe place, allowing a restart. Everything goes horribly wrong.
  • Death Is Cheap: Because the series is set in Minecraft, it is a common occurrence, with Tuguim receiving the majority of the non-canonical deaths. This trope is no longer used with the hardcore mode.
  • Despair Event Horizon:
    • Uto1!Lggj, after successfully resisting everything that was happening, despairs completely when he learns that Uto!Pedrux died. He telling himself that he has not died and that he will return. The recording in Utopia's Hospital ends his despair and convinces him of Uto!Pedrux's death; he remains solemn until confronting Luiz.
    • Ralls is heartbroken after learning that Maria has been sacrificed by the Vampires. He finally breaks when Dark Ralls takes advantage of the situation to force him to hand over total control to he. Ralls gets better.
    • Dark Ralls also goes through one. He despairs when he is left alone in Uto2!Lggj's mind, fearing that he will be abandoned again. It is the catalyst for his redemption.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: The aliens are this in the first season. Uto1!Apuh destroys their mothership near the ending. Red Tuguim takes on the role of Big Bad for the finale.
  • Downer Ending: The first season, for the most part, ends in this manner. See below for more details.
  • Election Day Episode: A period of time in both seasons. In the first one, it is Uto1!Lggj vs. Uto1!Carlin, with the latter using illegal methods to win the elections, and with Ralls attempting to promote an anarchy. In the second one, it is Uto2!Apuh vs. Tuguim vs. Nait, which is Lighter and Softer than other elections in the Minecraft Brazilian Multiverse.
  • Ensemble Cast: Each content creator's perspective understandably depicts themselves as the protagonist of their own storyline, and the viewers can choose which perspective they want to watch.
  • Evil Counterpart: Most of the characters have an evil or darker versions of themselves in the second season, which are brought by Luiz and Purple Phantom to keep the "games" interesting. To be more specifical...
    • Dark Lggj to Uto2!Lggj. Not particularly evil, and neither Luiz or Purple Phantom knew of he.
    • Dark Ralls to Ralls.
    • Purple Phantom to Phantom.
    • Uto1!Biel to Uto2!Biel.
    • Red Tuguim to Tuguim in both seasons.
    • Dark Foka to Foka.
    • Uto2!Dlet to Uto1!Dlet.
  • The Exile: Uto2!Dlet is exiled from Utopia 2 and is condemned to walk "forever" (or until he reaches the world border) by Uto1!Dlet.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Dark Foka does this as a result of the effects of Dark Lichen, blaming Top!Pedrux for what happened in TopCity and intending to kill him.
  • False Utopia: Despite the name, the cities are actually universes created by Luiz for his games.
  • Fate Worse than Death: Any person that is contaminated by Dark Lichen suffers it, in particular Dark Ralls.
  • Genre Shift: The series begins as a lighter comedy with fantasy and adventure elements, but gradually becomes into a drama with action and more heavy stuff, including someone being held captive for an extended period of time, which is shown in a surprisingly realistic way.
  • Hate Sink: Red Tuguim. As the evil side of Tuguim, he constantly torments him and the others citizens of the Utopias because he enjoys their suffering. When Utopia 1 went into Hardcore Mode, he became determined to kill everyone and coldly murdered Uto1!Biel for hyprocital reasons. And in the second season, he succesfully kills everyone in Utopia 2, in a Alternate Timeline.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Dark Ralls performs one, regretting his actions and attempting to atone for them. Following an encounter with Purple Phantom, he is able to assist the other Ralls in regaining control and not giving up before walking for eternity in limbo.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Subverted in both cases.
    • Uto1!Dlet was willing to do one to save Utopia 1 of the evil aliens, blowing up their base in Moon. He, thankfully, survives.
    • Nait goes without armor to kill Wither Storm, but he falls to his death. He has been ressurrected.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Uto2!Dlet suffers it at the hands of Uto1!Dlet, who uses the Infinity Gauntlet, the same gauntlet that the former performed many heinous acts to obtain maximum power in it, to force him to walk forever.
  • Hope Spot: In the first season. With the citizens of Utopia 1 believing that they will all ultimately die, Uto1!Apuh mentions a portal that, if completed with his eyes, will allow them to do a fresh restart. Unfortunately, it was just a lie told by Luiz whose quest by the eyes causes deaths and the portal leads Uto1!Lggj directly to him, whom he kills.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Ralls in the first season. Sure, he can be extremist and manipulative, but he also is altruistic and kind, and he eventually abandons his negative traits. He cares about his friends and tries to help them as much as possible.
  • Kill the Cutie: Tuguim is poisoned to death by Luiz after learning about Luiz's past and failing to kill him.
  • Laser-Guided Karma:
    • Warden King has been attempting to corrupt Mendrake with Dark Lichen since Minecraft Union and has attempted to kill him after failing to manipulate him for a longer period of time. He attempts to bring Mendrake to chaos, which causes the latter to resist the Dark Lichen and use it against him. Mendrake kills him with his resistance and trident.
    • Red Tuguim caused his own death twice. The first one was due to his insistence in killing Uto1!Lggj, who was clearly more powerful than him, that shoots him to almost death before finishing him with a sword stab. The second one, he constantly torments and attempts to kill Tuguim, and ends underestimating him and his friend Phantom. They manage to trick him and shock he in place, and Tuguim, snaps after all that he has done and kills he for real this time.
  • Nice Guy: The majority of the citizens in both utopias are it, being kind-hearted, friendly and selfless. But one specific example is Uto2!Lggj, who is always willing to help and is upbeat until Sheldon's death.
  • Only Sane Man: Played for laughs. Uto2!Apuh sees himself as it in Utopia 2, questioning the strange things that he hears and wondering himself if the city is just full of crazy people. Ironically, he is the last person to start to realize that Utopia has a much more darker nature.
  • "Ray of Hope" Ending: The first season concludes with nearly the entirety of the cast dying or disappearing. Uto1!Biel was killed by Red Tuguim and his best friend run away from Utopia 1 without his magic, Adam and Nait (supposedly) died while fighting against the Wither Storm, Uto!Pedrux died fighting against the Ice Dragon to find one of the portal's eyes, Mendrake escaped Utopia 1 and left his friends behind, Uto1!Apuh was pushed towards the void by Luiz and can't die due to his Rat Athena keeping him immortal, Uto1!Dlet is stranded on Mars, and Uto1!Lggj was killed by Luiz after entering the portal. However, Tuguim was separated from Red Tuguim before his death and Phantom found him, Ralls woke up from his coma albeit without his memories, and this trio is in Utopia 2, so not all hope is lost.
  • The Reveal:
    • Luiz, the seemingly friendly banker, is the true Big Bad of the series and the person responsible for nearly every conflict in the utopias, having created them for his own pleasure.
    • Uto2!Lggj being an artificial person. Duke reveals that he is made of fragments of several Lggjs around the Multiverse. And later, Dark Lggj states that his only goal was to murder Luiz.
    • Uto2!Nait being the Bro2!Nait, but without his memories. After falling to death, Luiz has taken his soul and placed it into a new body, erasing his memories in the process. He discovers it after watching his tapes made in the Backrooms.
  • Running Gag: Tuguim's terrible driving in the second season. He is constantly destroying structures while driving and nearly kills passengers. It resulted in many, many non-canonical deaths for him.
  • Villain Protagonist: Uto2!Dlet is this for his story in the second season, being an arrogant and cruel individual who tries to obtain the Infinity Stones by any means necessary with the only goal of being the most powerful in Utopia 2.
