The Askosverse Shorts are a series of intra-connected "shorts" set within The Askosverse, taking place inbetween Pokémon Petunia and Project Pandora. Due to this, they can be considered a Interquel.
They can all be watched here.
Due to there being nine Shorts, all tropes will be separated into their own folders.
The Askosverse Shorts contain examples of the following tropes:

- Calling Card - In the letter that Sasha left before her disappearance, Team Flare's logo is seen on the corner.

- Starting a New Life - Lorri runs away with her kids and changes her name to Lydia Dalca.
Short # 9 - "An Unown Future"
- Angsty Surviving Twin - Is played with further in Level Up, but Basil can never be the same again after the passing of his brother.

- Boy Meets Girl - Basil and Clover first met in Pokémon Petunia, and didn't reconnect until a few years later.
- Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life - Elaborated upon more in Project Metameleia, but Basil sees what Peter has accomplished with his life and feels left behind - he wants to be more than just "the same old Basil".
- Basil is the one with the "Unown Future".
- Double-Meaning Title:
- As seen above, Basil's future is unknown.
- BUT the title also foreshadows Project Pandora, which is fuelled by the Pokemon Unown.
- This also makes this a Pun-Based Title.
- Following in Relative's Footsteps - Basil's dad (Professor Palm) retires, leaving Basil to become the new Pokemon Professor.
- Never Found the Body - Subverted, and Foreshadowed in Short 6. Peter's body was never found - and in the post-credits scene, it's revealed that he never died in the car crash (but was still heavily injured).
- Solemn Ending Theme: A cover of Light Of My Life is Sung for the credits.
- Sickeningly Sweethearts - Basil and Clover are basically besties.
- This also applies to Nina and Peter.
