  • Deltarune: Talking with Toriel in Chapter 1 reveals that Kris and Asriel played a game called Super Smashing Fighters when they were younger, with Asriel's favorite character being the green lizard.
  • Doki Doki Literature Club!: In act three when Monika and the player are alone, Monika asks the player if they heard of Super Smash Bros. Worth noting is that the game's author Dan Salvato previously worked on the well-known Brawl mod Project M.
  • Fire Emblem Heroes: Sothis references Byleth's trailer during "Forging Bonds: Weave of Fate" during the latter's conversation series.
"Mm...You must...join Smash...Ah! There you are. You have awakened me from a peculiar dream."
  • No More Heroes III: The Final Boss battle against Damon is styled exactly like a Smash match.

  • Amphibia: In the episode "Hopping Mall", Anne and Sprig are entered in a shopping cart demolition derby, and the elimination of one of the competing teams is very reminiscent of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with Anne and Sprig getting golden eyes when parrying an attack, red lightning appearing to signify a strong attack, and the typical lightshow of a Smash KO. One of the newt opponents highly resembles Yoshi, while another is dressed in a parka wielding a hammer, similar to the Ice Climbers.
  • Animaniacs (2020): The "WARner GAMES" two-parter centers around a Smash parody, "Brawl and Bash Siblings". A 3D-animated platform fighter with a cast consisting of video game parodies such as... . Wakko starts the episode so caught up in the game that he was barely moving, leading his siblings to joke about animation budget cuts. After a match ends, Wakko manages to get Yakko and Dot hooked on the game, and while fighting over who gets to be Player 1, they all get sucked into the game. The cast appears, batten and bruised, mad at the Warner siblings for playing the game nonstop. More Smash elements appear, such as the cursor being a Master Hand-like foot, a lightshow signifying a knockout, and the loser of a match clapping for the winner.
  • Inside Job: The episode "Blue Bloods" references King K. Rool's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as one of the big achievements for positive propaganda for the reptoids in The New '10s.
  • MAD: The "Diary of a Wimpy Kid Icarus" skit had the playground bullies (Sonic the Hedgehog, Donkey Kong, Mega Man, and Pikachu) fight the main protagonists (Pit and Kirby) on the basketball court in a Smash Bros. battle. Doubles as Hilarious in Hindsight since this was made in 2012 and Mega Man and battles with more than four players wouldn't appear until Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U two years later.
  • Robot Chicken: A sketch from "Things Look Bad for the Streepster" features a trailer for The Smashing Games that combined the series with The Hunger Games.
  • Steven Universe: In the episode "Say Uncle", Steven and Uncle Grandpa are at one point playing a Smash-like game featuring Uncle Grandpa character Tiny Miracle, and Hopper from the episode "Garnet's Universe". What's more, the console they're playing it on looks identical to a GameCube.
